Chapters The Consequences Of Falling Asleep.
The date was August 12 2015, fatigue plagued my body as I laid in my bed waiting for sleep to take me. Its taking its time today, an unsettling feeling has annoying me for the past week. However today is the worst. My stomach is continuously churning like I'm sick, but I don't have any other symptoms.
Ignoring my condition I make the best of trying to relax and fall into unconsciousness. I eventually succeed but the long battle lasts till after 12:00. Tomorrow is a different day and I'm eager to know what it has in store.
BANG!!
I awake to a sudden jolt accompanied by a defending rumble. My back support vanishes and wind begins to blow past me as I accelerate downwards. Panicking I force my eyes open even though they practically plead for some shut eye. What I see makes my heart stop and my stomach turn upside down. All around me is nothing but a golden sky and clouds whipping past me, and below me is a small town near what looks like a large forest. If I was to guess my current location if I had to guess would be about 2000 feet in the Sky!
Going into full panic mode, I flail my arms and legs around to try to find the right angle to slow myself down. It doesn't help much, my altitude is roughly 1500 feet from the gorund now. Every second that passes raises more anxiety as I can see my inevitable end speeding up towards me. My brain seems to separate and I argue with myself on what to do to try to survive.
(Were going to die! There is no way out of this!!)
Shut up brain! We can survive this we just need to get the right angle.
(Why is this even happening!? We were in bed sleeping!)
We've never had dreams as realistic as real life before! So I'm not taking any chances.
Looking down again I realize the distance between the ground and I are closing rapidly 500 feet, 200 feet 100 feet.
"Ugh!"
A blue blur slams into my side knocking the wind out of me. As my trajectory changes to the side so does the speed of my decent. I tumble out of control towards a tree that from the short glances I'm getting, look like a tree carved out and turned into a residence. The last sound I hear is the sound of glass breaking before my vision darkens and my eye's force rest upon me once again.

I wake up in a sluggish manor only to discover my previously limp body hanging in the tree. My right arm and left leg dangling off the branch that I now lay on.
"Rainbow dash! Can't you wait until it's past five in the morning to come crashing through my window!" I hear a female voice yell, clearly frustrated and grumpy due to the unfortunately improvised alarm clock.
"It wasn't my fault twilight. Somepony fell out of the sky into my path as I was clearing the clouds this morning!" Says the other feminine yet somewhat raspy voice I'm assuming is called Rainbow dash.
Wait Somepony?
"It was like no creature I've ever seen before! It looked like a big hairless monkey!"
I somehow feel personally offended at that comment.
I'm so focused on the conversation between the two that I don't even notice my grip on the branch is starting to loosen. Well at least not until it's too late. When I start to slide off, I frantically claw at the branch to try to regain my position. However it is a fruitless effort.

"Not again!" I say as I fall another fifteen feet while taking the tree branch with me.
"What was that?" I faintly hear the voice of twilight say.
I clumsily move the tree branch off my head as I hear the sound of,hooves? The sound continues to get louder from behind the door I'm sitting in front of.
The door slowly opens and I find myself looking straight into the eyes of a purple horse.
"Hi" I give a nervous smile and a shrug to the shoulders as I give a little wave at the purple horse.
"Uhh. Hi?" She replies back.
Normally I would be in deep shock of seeing a talking animal, but after waking up in mid air I don't think I can get any more shaken up. She now is just staring at me with a blank facial expression almost as if she is trying to hide her shock.
" Hey twilight, what is it?" Says the voice of the one called Rainbow dash.
"I don't know dash I've never seen anything like this before. "Twilight says.
"Oh it's that hairless monkey I was talking about isn't it!?" The one called Rainbow dash says this as she approaches the doorway.
So I wake up 2000 feet above ground, fall to what would have been the end of me and now two crayon coloured taking horses are trying to figure out what I am.
(That's bad news for us because, obviously that means that your the only human here. )
That's unfortunately true. Hey why am I still thinking this way?
(You mean talking to yourself. Just a coping with falling out of my dimension)
Wait did we fall out of our dimension?
(I don't know. Just a guess. )
I just realized that I was zoning out again. Well nothing really has happened since Rainbow dash appeared in the doorway both sides of the frame just stare at the other in awe of what we see. I grab the tree branch at my side and hold it out.
"Here I think this is yours" I say with the nervous smile remaining plastered on my face.
Breakfast! And new friends?
It's been about two hours since I arrived. Now that I've had time to rest I'm starting to feel the effects of my little drop, every inch of my body is aching. Especially the side that Rainbow dash crashed into me. Oh the relentless agony! Make it stop! I can manage dealing with the pain, it's a just minor annoyance in comparison to [Twilight's endless questions!] please just stop I don't like being researched! She's been writing down everything that she feels is important about me in her trusty little notebook. I don't even remember where she got the little thing, it's like it just appeared out of nowhere. Please let me go, I feel like hell.
The way she's studying me is starting to make me feel like a science project.
And I don't like it!
After talking for a while, Twilight suggested that I should not go outside until she gets things sorted out. She said this while heading towards the kitchen, most likely to make a snack. Having my silent pleas answered I decided to grab at the opportunity with a death grip.
It's been roughly two hours so the time should be around 7:00 in the morning at least I think it's been two hours. I'm rounding down what it felt like to try to make it more accurate but the truth is I'll have to find a clock.
"Hey Twilight, what time is it?"
"It's 6:47, why?"
"I was just curious."
Well that was extremely easy.
Realizing the time she mentioned I'm starting to wish I had worn my normal clothes to bed. Then at least It wouldn't be freezing, my pyjamas hold no heat at all. They are just a pair of old raggedy Shorts and a T-shirt.
Some time passes, and while looking through some of the books on the shelves. I notice that I hear the sound of foot steps descending the stairs. Following the sound I see that a bipedal lizard creature is descending the stairwell. Even though it's of another species the expression of tiredness and exhaustion are evident on his face much like a human.
Once it retches the bottom of the stares it just looks at me sitting across the room reading a book on the floor about THE HISTORY OF EQUESTRIA. To be honest I'm just looking at the pictures, because the way they write here is completely different than home.
Over the past two hours I've learned that this world is called Equestria. Its inhabitants consist of colourful earth ponies, Pegasus ponies, and unicorns.
Well that's interesting, the interview session from Twilight benefited me as well.
"Tw-Twilight!" The lizard exclaims as if he saw an anomaly [something that shouldn't exist] which I kind of am.
"Calm down Spike. He's perfectly harmless." I hear Twilight say from the kitchen.
So it's name is Spike.
(His name)
What?
(One he's a person and two Spike is more of a boys name)
"Um hello?" Spike says to me as he waves his claws in front of my face.
Oh come on! I got caught up daydreaming again!
"Hello, Spike was it?" I say looking up from my book.
"What are you?"
The look on his face reminds me of a three year old trying to understand why the sky is blue.
"I'm a human. May I ask you the same question?"
Spike puffs out his chest inin response to my question.
"I'm a dragon." He says proudly, and he should be. How often do you meet something as badass as a Dragon!
"Foods done." Twilight calls from the kitchen.
"Hey where's Rainbow?" She says entering the room.
"She said that she needed to clear the rest of clouds because it was scheduled to be a clear day today."I mention.
"Well that's unfortunate, here I made a sandwich for her and everything."
Twilight floats some sandwiches from the kitchen over to the nearest table.
I'll never get used to seeing levitating magic.
I get up to see what type of snack Twilight has prepared. Even from ten feet away I'm able to notice its not your everyday sandwich. They contain dandelion flowers a layer of finely chopped hay and a layer of some type of apple jam.
(dandelions are poisonous to humans aren't they?)
I don't think so.
"Go ahead eat up." Twilight says while picking up a sandwich of her own to munch on.
Well this most likely is just a lucid dream. So I can't get food poisoning because it's a dream.
(How do you know that?)
Because what's happening is so ludicrous that it has to be. This world being real is just impossible.

Anyway I'm going for it I'm starved!

I grab one of the sandwiches presented despite my better judgement and bite into it before I had anymore second thoughts.The taste was ok sort of, well not really the only part that tasted good was the apple jam. To say the least I immediately regretted what I just did. I looked over to see Spike eyeing the sandwiches. The look on his face said it all. He very much disliked the food he'd been given, and I couldn't blame him in the slightest.
"I'll never be able to understand how you two can eat that stuff. Spike mumbles.
Lucky for him Twilight had already buried herself in a book, so his quiet protests went unnoticed.
Then it's my turn to protest, well not verbally but more physically. My stomach starts to feel unsettling and a wave of nausea washes over me.
"Hey Twilight. Where's the bathroom?" I ask while doing my best to not give away my I'll response to her cooking, because who wants to hear that?
"Up the stairs and to the left" she mumbles through chewing as she reads her book on mythical creatures.
She's probably trying to find a story about my race.
I walk up stairs into the washroom and lock the door. After saying goodbye to my breakfast I leave washroom and I notice Spike leaning on a nearby wall. He just stares at me with a smirk on his face as he eats a gem.
I guess he noticed

It's about 11:56 and Twilight said that her friends will be coming by at 12:00. I'm feeling a little nervous about that but most of my concerns are elsewhere debating whether this is a dream or not. I want to believe this is just my brain playing tricks on me, but deep down i know its real.
Spike has been sneaking cupcakes up from the deep freeze in the basement ever since I ate that sandwich. I can honestly say they were the best I've ever had. They were so filled with sugar that they made my teeth ache I can practically feel cavities growing in my mouth.
knock knock!
Oh wow it's 12:00 already? I guess I'll get to meet more ponies. Spike tells me to wait upstairs because he wants to see everyone's reaction when they see me. Which I can understand back on earth I used to watch reaction videos all the time. Listening I hear the sound of hooves trot into the library downstairs.
"Hey Twilight where's the annoying house guest?" I can hear Rainbow dash say.
From the moment she came to the door and saw me out on the street with a tree branch on my head she's been teasing me as if it's a profession. Whatever, I'm used to it by now my family and friends act the same way. I start to make my way down the stairs and the looks of shock on their faces is priceless.
Totally worth it!
"Everypony this is Ed, he's a human."
That's it!..
She took like a million different notes on me and my past and that's the grand introduction I get!?
To be honest this I think Spike should have introduced me instead of Twilight. That introduction just seemed so vague.
"Ooo-a-new-creature-what's-your-name-what-are-you-do-you-have-a-favorite-colour?" Rants a pink earth pony only to be cut off by Twilight.
"Woe Pinky pie slow down. I'll introduce you all one by one." Twilight says.
"I'm just so excited!! Pinky pie exclaims bouncing around the room.
I smile, her enthusiasm is definitely something to envy. Maybe one day I can be that joyful and happy.
"This is, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rarity, and you already know Pinky pie and Rainbow dash." Twilight says gesturing to the ponies she was speaking about while saying their names.
They all say hi to me in their own way, Applejack just tilts her hat. Rarity went through a formal greeting, and Fluttershy seems to be very quiet. She manages to squeak out a "hi" in a hushed voice that I almost miss.
(Dude, Manners.)
"It's very nice to meet you all." I say giving a salute wave.
Pinky pie walks over to me and says."Hey you know what this calls for!"
"What Pinky?"
She stands up on her back legs and throws her front legs out." A Party!"
"Have a party? How, we are keeping Ed secret remember." Rainbow dash states.
"We'll have a secret party!"
Personally I don't really care about a party, but it looks like it would make Pinky pie happy. I'm more like those people who sit at the back in the dark waiting till it's time to go home. But who knows maybe they are different here.
"Sure let's do it. Let's see if we can pull this off without anyone noticing" I say.
"What, your okay with this?" Rainbow dash looks shocked.
"Sure why not, I haven't been to a party in over a year." I say shrugging my shoulders.
"B-but then you may get discovered. We don't know what other ponies will react like." Twilight says jumping into the conversation.
"It's no big deal, if anyone comes to check on us we can just say you all were having a sleepover. And Pinky pie wanted to have a sleepover party. "
"That actually sounds like it could work." Rarity comments.
"Yay! Just leave all the preparations to me, THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST SECRET PARTY EVER!" Pinky says practically buzzing with excitement.

It takes Pinky pie roughly six hours to set up for the party. The entire time everyone else was banished to the upstairs bedroom. Twilight spent the time reading, and everyone else talked about old times. I decided to get some practice in for my drawing so I drew everyone sitting upstairs in Twilights room. I don't know how she did it but when Pinky pie was done setting up she just appeared over my shoulder.
Im beginning to think she can teleport.
"WOW! Your a really good artist!"
I nearly fall out of my seat, when she appears and practically yells that in my ear. I looked over into her direction.
Ok I'm a little frustrated that she scared me. But from her viewpoint she's just complementing me.
I turn to look at her. "Thanks."
"So is the party ready?"
"Yep! Everypony come on down!"
I follow pinky down the stairs and to say I'm shocked would be an understatement. The entire downstairs is designed like a dance club. Lights are hanging from the ceiling, dark blue styrofoam covers the walls and a DJ stand has been set up by the stairway. The windows are covered with pictures of the inside so if anyone looks in from the outside it looks like a empty library.
"Where did you get all this stuff?" I ask in bewilderment.
"I had it lying around." I hear her say while bouncing around.
Rainbow dash flies over to me and puts a hoof on my shoulder." Listen, here's some helpful advice. Don't try to figure out how pinky pie does anything and you will keep your sanity."
"O-okay" I say trying to understand what she meant.
What's that supposed to mean?
Out of the corner of my eye, I then notice Pinky reach her hoof into her mane and pull out a cupcake.
Okay maybe that's the type of stuff she meant.
Suddenly the front door slams open and in walks a white mare with a mane of varying shades of blue.
"DJ PON 3 is in the house! Let's get this party started!" She yells.
I look over to Twilight and Pinky pie having a conversation about what's going on.
"Pinky pie I thought we were keeping Ed secret. So why is Vinyl here?" Twilight says to Pinky in a hushed voice.
"Hey, you the new person in town." I turn around to see that the DJ has walked up to me.
"Yeah."
"The name's Vinyl Scratch, nice to meet ya"
"It's nice to meet you as well."
Vinyl shakes my hand, then walks over to the DJ stand. "Let's do this!"

The party lasted till maybe 12:30, and it was the most I've ever danced in my whole life. Somehow once the party was done pinky pie managed to remove all the decorations, and electronics. The library looked the exact same as from when I first saw it within ten seconds.
One by one the ponies started to leave, starting with Applejack because she needed to get up early tomorrow. Then Rarity, Rainbow dash and Fluttershy left. That left Vinyl, pinky pie and Twilight.
"So what now?" I ask.
"We all hit the hay" Twilight says mid yawn.
Then she realizes that I have no place to stay. I notice her looking around the library room as if she's trying to find something that's not there.
"What's up Twilight?"
She looks at me with a guilty grin." It's just that I realized that you have no place to stay. There's nowhere in this library that would even be considered comfortable enough to be called a bed."
I nod my head understanding her concerns. "Well maybe I could just get some blankets and sleep on the floor."
"Sleep on the floor! No way, I've got a free room back at my place." Vinyl says walking over to us.
I almost forgot that she was there.
"Vinyl what about Octavia?"
"It's no problem Twilight, she's all the way out in Canterlot right now."
"Thank you for your hospitality" I say to both mares trying to be as respectful as I can.
Both mares just smile at me. Then the sound of the door opening and closing alerts us to Pinky pies departure.
"Right, shall we get a move on then." Vinyl says gesturing to the door.
I simply nod, and we make our way over to the door. I decide to let vinyl go first to see if the coast is clear however nobody is awake. The town is silent and the moon is high above the sky surrounded by a glorious array of stars.
"So, where is your place?" I ask.
"It's that one over there." She points her hoof over at the closest house to my right.
It looks the same as most of the houses around but it still holds slight differences. From this distance I can see the party lights attached above the door and the top window lying on the ground by the front door.
"What happened?" I say looking at the window waiting for her to follow my gaze.
"I was doing the dishes."
Windows are being knocked out because of doing the dishes?
What have I gotten myself into?
Temporary roommate vinyl scratch
It's been nearly a week since I came to Equestria, and I think I'm finally accepting that this is my life now. Vinyl Scratch has taken me in as a temporary roommate and I'm enjoying my life here. I now have a full understanding of why the window was blasted out of the side of the house from doing the dishes. Each morning I awake to the sound of wubs so strong the house is nearly turned into a giant stereo.
I have been trying to stay out of sight from the streets, but there was one point where I was spotted through the window by a turquoise mare. She started spouting nonsense about how nopony was ever going to humiliate her again. I later told Vinyl about my little encounter describing the mare in detail, she was laughing so hard that she almost breathed in her food. She eventually calmed down and told me that the mares name was Lyra
So ever since then, I decided to wait until I can be properly introduced to Equestria. Twilight says she managed to get a appointment with the rulers of this kingdom and we will leave to see them tomorrow.
So now it's just me here with vinyl. During the day we have been playing against each other on her PONY STATION 4.
The name is practically ripped off the PS4!
I spend most of my time now playing the ponified video games, and drawing manga. It's kind of nice to get away from my old life, here it's so much of a slower pace. Back home it was wake up early go to school, go to work. Then after a long day and hard work get five hours of sleep then start over again.

"So are you going to do anything today?" Vinyl asks as she sits down for breakfast.
Her question pulls me out of my own thoughts.
"Hmm? Maybe, do you have any carving materials?"
"Sure, do you want just the carving tools or the keys to my workshop?"
"You have a workshop. What type?" My curousidy burns deep within me, it would be nice to do something different.
"Ya know wood, metal and electronics."
My face holds an expression of surprise and shock.
"Wow vinyl I didn't see you as the type of mare to have a full on build anything workshop" I say.
"We'll I got to make my wubs somehow, so I got the tools and made them"
"Where is it? I've been here a week and I didn't see a garage anywhere."
"It's in the basement behind a secret door, not even Octavia knows about it."
"So why are you telling me?"
"Well there's two reasons. One is because I noticed your drawings contain cool inventions. Two Octavia is coming home tonight."
A look of worry flashes across my face. I didn't know this mare or how she would react, whereas vinyl did and she was going to hide me in a basement."
"Just one question. Why is it a secret basement?"
She finishes drinking her cranberry juice and then slams her hooves down on the table. "Because the tech down there is god damn expensive that's why! Plus you understand that I have nowhere else to put you to keep you a secret."
I can see her passion and worry for this place that she is letting me be. It must really mean a lot to her.
Okay, note to self she cares a lot about this stuff so don't wreck it.
She's still pushing on the other side of the table and glaring at me with those crimson red eyes. I know it's meant to be a type of threat but she looks as threatening as a three year old child trying their best to make a scary face.
"Fine." I say getting up.
" I promise not to touch any thing you made or look at anything your working on. Cross my heart, hope to fly stick a cupcake in my eye.
I sit back down and vinyl seems to be reassured about letting me down there. Then I think I hear from the fridge freezer a whispered "Forever." I quickly brush off the thought of hearing things but it puts a shiver down my spine nonetheless.
After breakfast Vinyl starts to collect the dishes, and I run to get my homemade ear muffs.

One
The sound of dub step fills the house and I can feel the vibrations pass through my entire being. I can handle the dish washer but I don't think I will survive if she turns on the bass canon again.
"So the work shop?" I ask her.
"Oh the key is this fridge magnet and you put it directly behind that yellow book to unlock it." She says.
I decide to try it out and surely enough the bookshelf swings open. The staircase to the basement is surrounded by sound proof styrofoam same as the back of the bookshelf. The stairs go down about twenty feet then its a ninety degree turn to the right.
I can feel myself getting giddy, every tool and machine one would think of is here. On the far left is the metal fabricating section, the middle is the electronics like computer chips and whatnot, and on the far right is the wood shop.
Thoughts of inventions from my world storm my mind even ones theorized by Si-Fi entertainment. I turn around to see vinyl sitting in the doorway with a prideful look in her eyes.
"Thank you, this is perfect."
It's a vague sentence but I know she understands what I'm thanking her for. For giving me a purpose and something to do.
"Hey, what are friends for."
Now that I think about it I didn't realize just how quickly we got along. It's only been a week and she knows me well enough to rival Matthew. My face saddens at the thought of never seeing my family or friends again.
"Hey what's wrong? Don't you like it?"
"Hmm? Oh I love it, I was just thinking about my life back home"
She walks over to me and puts her hoof on my shoulder.
"Don't worry man, we'll find a way to get you back home. Plus in the offhoof you don't get back your always welcome here."
A tear in my eye fails to remain concealed. Looking at vinyl I realize how she's standing, she is balancing on her back legs and using me slightly for support. I can't believe that the entire time I've been here I didn't realize that ponies were as tall as humans when on two feet.
"Thank you."
Meeting the Rulers of Equestria
I awake to the low rumble of a bass shaking the house. A smile forms across my face, I'm in my new basement room and my ears aren't bleeding when I wake up. Forcing myself out of bed I notice the surveillance monitor to my left, Octavia is home and I can't just walk around upstairs like old times. Vinyl had the surveillance system installed so she wouldn't walk out of here accidentally showing the passageway. It's a smart idea because then she can keep what's down here a better secret, meaning me also.
It dawns on me that this is going to be harder than I thought originally, when I try to sneak out of here to go to Canterlot. Then again Vinyl did say that Twilight had that all figured out, I guess I'll just have to put my faith in her.
The clock beside my bed says that it's 7:23 AM, I'm supposed to leave at 8:00. So I figure I have roughly thirty minutes to get ready.
Walking over to the nearest light switch I push the button and row by row the lights turn on dramatically. The size of this place is staggering, if I had to guess, it would be one hundred by one hundred and fifty feet in length and width. Doing some quick calculations that would mean the floor is one thousand five hundred square feet.
The sudden realization hits me like a ton of bricks.
I'm doing math for fun!
The very bane of my existence is what I'm doing for entertainment!
It must be a sign of being homesick and effects of being locked up in a dark basement. I get myself cleaned up to the best of my ability, but the lack of a washroom makes that difficult. I hear the door up the stairs open, my mind falls into a slight panic. The rational part of my brain fights to convince me that it's just Vinyl and I slowly calm down. She trots down the stairs floating a plate of scrambled eggs and toast with a glass of milk down for me.
Nope, still not used to things floating around.
"So did ya have a good sleep?" Vinyl asks.
"Yep the bed down here is actually more comfortable than the one upstairs." I say.
"That's good." She says setting my breakfast on a nearby table.
"Just make sure your ready for when we have to leave." She says before heading upstairs again.
I eat my breakfast as quickly as I can keeping a close eye on the time. When the clock strikes 8:00 I suddenly feel a strange tingling sensation. In an instant I go from sitting at the table to Twilight's library. I fall to the ground feeling sick.
"Next time could you give me a little notice." I cough.
"Sorry." Twilight sheepishly grins.
"Its okay, just give me a minute to recover."
Looking around I see all of the ponies I met on my first day, a light sense of nostalgia washes over me. Some like Fluttershy are slowly warming up to me, and it will be nice when she doesn't cower behind her hair at the sight of me. Rainbow Dash is hovering around the room reading a book that would be equivalent to Indiana Jones back home. Meanwhile Rarity, Pinky Pie and Applejack are deep in conversation about going to Canterlot again.
"Alright. The train is at the station and is waiting for our arrival." Twilight says after studying a book intently.
"Okay, but how are we all going to get there? Can you teleport all of us?" I ask.
"No I can't, but I can teleport you into the train car itself. Then everypony else will be there shortly."
A similar feeling makes its way through my very being and I brace myself for the sick feeling soon to follow. Dropping to the floor again I feel the affects even worse than before, I clench my stomach trying not to hurl.
"Hey are you feeling okay!?"
Yet another thing I'll never get used to. Pinky Pie is already sitting in a seat in front of me, stretching her head over the backrest to face me. I try to not focus on the impossible things Pinky Pie does regularly, I'd probably have gone mad if I didn't.
"A Train. Good choice." I say.
Ten minutes later the others arrive. They all seem tired and worn out, panting as they stepped onto the train.
"Did you girls run here?"
"Kinda." Rainbow Dash says.
Only a few seconds after everyone got on I hear someone outside yell "All aboard!"
So that's why they were running.
We're leaving, now!.

The train ride lasts about two hours. I use that time to get some sleep, resting my head against the window. They need to work on the braking mechanics for this locomotive though. When we reach Canterlot my head is almost driven through the back of the seat in front of me.
I sluggishly wake up and take in my new surroundings. Outside of the windows I can see a dense yet clean city. Every building is adorned in white as its coating and ponies all shapes and sizes are already easily seen. I start to get a familiar tingling sensation in my gut and my eyes widen at the realization of what's happening.
"No no plea.."
poof
"..se."
I drop to the ground clenching my chest and gasping for air.
If this keeps up it'll kill me!
Getting my bearings I notice that I'm now in a large hallway directly in front of large golden doors. Two guards stand watch at each side. They stare straight ahead, unmoving like statues. Curiosity looms in my mind and I take a couple steps toward the thirty foot tall doors. My trek towards them are cut short though when a spear crosses into my path. Allowing my gaze to follow the tip of the spear to its owner, I find the guard pony still staring straight ahead but his horn is aglow as he holds the spear with his magic.
"Umm I'm supposed to go in here aren't I?." I ask in a very unsure manner.
"Not yet." I hear the other guard say.
Feeling defeated I back off and find a nearby pillar to slump down against.
The agonizing wait I have before the girls caught up to me seemed to take forever. In reality it's only been fifteen minutes but when your anxious about something time seems to pass slower.
"Hey, what took you so long?" I joke.
Rainbow gives me an annoyed look.
"We didn't see why there was any need to run."
"Fair enough." I say pushing myself against the pillar to lift myself up.
"So can we go in yet?" I ask in a bored tone.
They don't say anything but they do retract their spears and the doors start to open. Light dramatically pours through the crack causing me to shield my eye's. After they adjust I see a great hall adorned with glass murals, of what I can only guess is important memories. At the end of the hall two mares stand tall, one has a dark blue coat and a mane that resembles the stars. The other one is about my hight with a white coat and a multi coloured mane.
"Twilight Sparkle my faithful student, how nice to see you again." The white one says.
(Sparkle so that's her last name!)
Shut up brain!
"Its verry nice to see you again Princess Celestia, and princess Luna." Twilight says bowing.
It takes me a second to notice that all my friends are bowing and I'm sluggish to follow suit. Celestia and Luna chuckle and make their way over to me.
"Please do tell us, what is your name?" Celestia asks.
"M-my name is Ed." I blurt out.
A smile creases her lips." It's very nice to meet you Ed welcome to Equestria."
"Sister, may us speak in a more comfortable location. Perhaps the dining hall were we can recline at the table enjoying dinner." The blue one says
"Yes Luna I think that would be a good idea, we will discuss matters there."
I have a feeling a lot of questions are in my future.
(That's for sure.)
