Prologue
15 years after the 2nd imprisonment of Discord, he was released again, this time not by something as small as a tussle between some simple foals, but a war. The New Lunar Republic had been plotting ever since Princess Luna’s imprisonment is the moon. They had bided, and then released, the battle was quick and Cloudsdale, Ponyville, and Fillydelphia were soon taken. Discords slumber was stirred, but not yet ended. He needed more this time around. It was when Celestia fought back, that the plan between TNLR and The Discordian Empire had worked, but Discord wanted more than just Co-Ownership. He wanted supremacy.
During the war that raged on, we learn the story of Landor Bridlehorn, a simple artist Unicorn in Ponyville, who had known about this for years, and was in the plan as well He hoped for a world where Celestia was no longer in power, and night could be appreciated too, and under Discords rule as well. The Ponies wouldn't have to control and help nature and could relax for once. But he learned that all the Republics and Empires only wanted one thing...

CHAPTER 1
10 days into the war
"What are you talking about!?" Landor yelled at the Lunar Republic guards, "I thought we had an alliance!” "So did we, that is, before your leader Discord attacked the Republic's head base last night" The Lunar guards said, not hiding their hatred in the slightest. "But you don’t understand! We ALL thought Discord had an alliance, and that Night would not be eternal, nor would Chaos Reign unleashed!" "Not our problem, you claim to be a General in TDE and you shall be arrested immediately." The guards told Landor while attempting to hoofcuff him. "Get off of me! Filthy scum of the night!" Landor yelled while using his magic to send the guards flying. "Get hi...m." the guards tried to utter before being knocked unconscious with a rock. "I need to get out of here, Ponyville is the LAST place I should be right now, where the HELL is Twilight I need someone NOT in one of these horrid tyrannies, and is just unaligned with anything." Landor said to himself while galloping off into the night, with rain and cannons going off in the distance."
As Landor walked into the Library he yelled, "Twi! Where the hell are you, I am not here to hurt you! I need you help!" Suddenly a dark figure walked out of a hidden door in the wall "Hello Landor, what do need my help with? Something to make MORE chaos!" Twilight said with much hatred. "No Twilight, I thought I could give Discord another chance, everyone is born happy, and can be hurt, so I thought, if we actually gave hi a chance..." Landor mumbled, with much embarrassment. "And WHAT that Discord would become everyponies very best friend and help us all?" Twilight spat at Landor. "In i..n a way..." Landor said meekly "BUT! Now I realize the error of my ways, please just help me?" Landor asked with much hopefulness. "Fine, but I am not going to happy about this." Twilight said "Learning that Rainbow Dash was with Luna all along was enough shock for me, and Applejack being on Celestia’s side, even more shock, that ANY Ponies could hate each other so much." Twilight said, with much disdain. "What do you need?" She asked. "You and the rest of the mane 6 that are unaligned, we need as much flank-kicking power as we can get" Landor said. "All right, I'll get ahold of them." "SPIIIIKKKKEEE!!!" Twilight called all throughout the Library. "Huh? What do you need? I was sleeping Twilight, come on" Spike said rubbing one eye and yawning. "Take a note and send a copy to Fluttershy, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie, tell them to meet near the Everfree Forest, now" Twilight said, putting much emphasis on NOW. "Okay okay..." Spike said copying up each message and sending it yawning as he did. "Alright lets hustle!" Landor said, running out the door. Once they were at the forest they saw the mane 6 come up, but they were followed by one more person, they couldn't tell who, but s/he was very strong. The pony said "Well, hi Landor I thought I wouldn't see you again ever!”
"I know you..." Landor said pondering, and then gasped "I know you! You’re... DERPY IT'S YOU!" Landor said with much happiness and surprise. "I thought that if you were going to be here, I would invite Ms. Hooves here" Rarity said with her usual flare. "I can't believe it’s you!" Derpy said hugging Landor as she did. "S...So what are we going to be doing...?” Fluttershy said while kicking one hoof. "Obviously we're going to PARTAY!" Pinkie Pie said standing on her hind legs as she did. "No, Pinkie, we aren't going to party, we are going to stop Discord, Luna, AND Celestia for destroying Equestria" Twilight said with much impatience.
"You mean we're going to destroy even Luna and Celestia?" Rarity said, with much surprise. "No, Discord's influence is just so strong, he took control of Celestia recently and Luna not long after his 2nd release" Twilight said. "And we are going to re-imprison him, and end his control of the Princesses, ending the control Discord has over the armies of the 'New Lunar Republic' and 'The Solar Empire' and even 'The Discordian Empire' as I recently did when I realized the chaos this is causing" Landor said with little emotion and much seriousness. "But Applejack and Rainbow Dash have been hypnotized by Discord!" Pinkie said.
"And?" Rarity mocked, "We can just use Twi's old memory spell, riiight Twilight?” "Sadly, no, Discord's power is much too strong this time around, he even destroyed the Windigoes with his extreme power" Twilight said, with a depressed voice. "Th...Then what are we going to use?" Fluttershy said. "We are going to use The Elements of Chaos, when they are used on Discord, they can give him so much power he shorts out, like a star" Landor piped in. "Hmm?" Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Derpy, and Rarity said in unison. "Yes, we are going to use them, they are Disloyalty, Selfishness, Lying, Vengeance, Hate, and Dark Magic" Twilight said. "But we, we don't have that in us!" Rarity exclaimed. "Well, we do, we all have a dark side we try to hide, I have a horrid dark side of Disloyalty, so I can go in rainbow Dash's place" Landor said "And, umm, I lie a little much, I try not too! But it just... Happens...” Derpy said, with much disdain. "And you 3, you can just as easily use the Elements of Chaos IF those Elements of activated" Twilight said. “SO when we find them, I will help Twilight use a spell, and it for a split second, allow us to use the Elements, and when that happens, Discord will appear from the pure chaos" Landor finished. "So, we head off now?" Pinkie Pie asked. "Not yet, we have to grab a LOT of stuff from the library storage before we go" Twilight said. "Then we will camp out at Zecora’s, then head off, to each one of the 3 places the Elements could be at" Landor said. "Ok, Landor, I hope is going to make everyone know that you really are a good pony" Derpy said to Landor after the others headed off.
"I hope so too, I hope so too Derpy..." Landor said, walking off with her. At the Canterlot Castle “So, Celestia...." Discord mocked, "What do you think, of New Discordia?” "New Discordia!" Celestia roared "Yes, Celestia, I thought I needed a name, Equestria is such a dull name" Discord said, smirking as he did. "Luna may be fighting me but I'm still fighting you!" Celestia said. "Yes, of course..." Discord said, thinking "Foalish mare, you cannot win, even while you think you are at your own will, you are under my complete control"
Meanwhile, in the Everfree forest the ponies were chatters among each other. "Hoooow much longerrrrr" Rarity whined "OH MY CELESTIA, KILL ME" Landor yelled, "You have been going on like this for hourrrsss...” "Don't be so loud Landor, you'll wake something up." Twilight said "Pinkie Pie, get away from the poison joke" Rarity said, "I don't want to deal with 'Spitty Pie' ever again!" Pinkie Pie giggled, "Okay fine Rarity, you silly pony!"
"Ugh.... I hate this place it’s not normal" Landor groaned, "What if we run into a hydra or something?" "Landor, seriously, Hydras are only in the swamps!" Twilight berated. “Okay, then, what if a dragon wakes up from a cave!” Landor shuttered. “That… is a… possibility however” Twilight muttered with fear. “Dragons! Where! Help!!” Fluttershy yelled. “Fluttershy, calm down” Pinkie Pie chuckled. “NO! I don’t want to even think of some big, mean, old dragon being anywhere near us!” Fluttershy yelled, again.
“Who like me?” a sinister echoing voice cackled out. The whole group yelled in unison. “Oh calm down” The voice said. The voice revealed itself to be a huge, red dragon. It towered above them, opened up its enormous wings, and stretched out. “Little pony, not ALL dragons want to eat you” He chuckled out. “In fact, I want to help you out” The dragon offered. “Why help us?” Twilight said “Because, If ‘Discord’ ” The dragon said, mocking his Discord’s name as he did, “Takes over Equestria, then the whole balance of nature you ponies set up would be history!”, “I am not about to let some half-dragon destroy us REAL dragons way of life so he can have his ‘entertainment’!”. “Okay then, if you really want to help us, you can show us the way to Discord’s old castle” Twilight informed. “Show you?” the dragon said “I’ll fly you guys if it means Discord can go back to his stone- abode!” “Okay then, wait, what’s your name?” Landor asked. “My name is Eldr ok blóð, Fire Blood in your language” The dragon said, with much pride in his tone “Cool name, mine’s Landor Bridlehorn”. “Well then, Landor, you and your friends hop on!” Eldr said.
The dragon flew for hours on end, and after a whole 2 days they reached the end of the forest, where an ancient, destroyed, castle awaited them. “Well, here we are” Twilight said “Well this is his castle, me and the rest of the dragons I can gather are going to free the cities” The dragon told them “Alright, thanks, we need as much power as we can get, once again, thank you so much!” Twilight said, with a huge smile on her face. “You’re welcome, and good luck with whatever you plan to do with this old thing, watch out though, some Cockatrice moved in here I heard”. “It’s okay, I think we can deal with them” Fluttershy said. The dragon flew off, but before it did, it left them a torch with an eternal fire burning on it.
“Well friends, here we are, Discords castle” Twilight said, mystery in her eyes.
END OF CHAPTER 1
Chapter 2
As they walked into the castle, they could see the age of it; ancient old tapestries, piles of rubble, and burn marks all over. “This place could use a cleaning!” Exclaimed Rarity “Rarity, do you even have any idea of how old this place is? Hell, I’d even say the princesses forgot about this old dump” Landor said, ducking from a falling beam as he did. “Careful! This place is a death trap!” Twilight said “No kiddin’! Look at the walls! They are soft from age!” Derpy said “I ho…hope there’s no…not any mo…mo…monsters” Fluttershy barley whispered out “In this place? I doubt even a cockroach could call THIS place home” Landor said. And how right he was, for the castle had not even been entered for many a year, yet the chaos of Discord’s very being here was still in the air.
“So what are we looking for again” Derpy asked “Yes Twilight, what ARE we looking for in this old dust box” Rarity said “Were you not paying ANY attention to what I said earlier? Were here to find the Elements of Chaos” Twilight said “So, Twilight, master of all knowledge, where are they” Landor said “Wherever the most pure source of insanity and chaos is located in this infernal rubble heap”
“How did these… these pieces of pure destruction even come into being? I cannot even fathom their origin!” Rarity exclaimed “They were born into this world when Discord’s power was at its height, he was so strong, he put away all the most evil powers in him into rings, when they are worn, one has complete control over Discord and all his powers, but, at the loss of ones sanity, and all the kindness in their heart” Twilight said “Whoa.. That’s deep” Landor said, at a loss for words. “Hard to even imagine what Discord was like in the beginning…” Derpy said.
“Wha... What so ‘deep’ and stuff? Are we going swimming?” Pinkie said “Huh? Oh, there you are Pinkie, I was wondering where you were” Landor said. “She fell asleep, but was too tired to wake up for long, so I have been carrying her this whole time” Rarity said “Oh, well Pinkie, got any weird Pinkie-Sense for finding stuff?” Landor said. “Nope! I don’t think I have that in me!” Pinkie said, happy as ever. “Alright then, Landor, Rarity, use this locating spell to try and find it, the rest of you, try and search the rubble for any clues
They searched for hours on end, with nothing to show. “This is hopeless, we are never going to find them.” Landor said the anger was evident in his voice, “Damn it all! Why do we even try?!” Landor hissed under his breath. “Calm down, this castle really is getting to y-“she said suddenly realizing something, “THAT’S IT!” “What’s it, darling?” Rarity said, the corruption of the castle not yet affecting her, as it did everyone else. “The only way we will find the rings is if we give in!” Twilight said, “Just like when the Elements of Harmony appeared when I realized my true friends, and let friendship into my heart, the Elements of Chaos when we all let chaos into us!” Twilight said. “Well that doesn’t sound, ideal” Landor said. “It may not, but it is the only way we can stop him once and for all” Twilight said. Landor sighed, “Why did my life have to lead to… to… this! It was fine before that damned freak creature destroyed my life!”
Something then sparked in Landor, he felt, a feeling to just, ditch those losers and go home, to his life, and if that didn’t work screw them, he thought, he would just find somewhere else without all this crap to settle down at. Just as soon as the Landor felt it, it hit everyone else Fluttershy wanted to pound those lame whiny brats and kill this stupid dragon thing after she was done kicking her little brat angel’s ass in. Rarity remembered that they were rings, and rings means money, so why should she care about some stupid harmony and balance in the world. What would that do for HER? Pinkie Pie was ready to kill the next twerp who even grinned, with their stupid “fun” hell with that, it doesn’t do anything but make noise! Derpy felt that the truth only did wrong, lies can even make the saddest person happy, but wait, hell with that, she could get away with ANYTHING! Mix up the mail; steal muffins from the bakery, but who says it has to end at that! And Twilight, she was like a mix of all their feelings she hated all of them, “Who needs them? Stupid ponies, all they do it bother me and my books” speaking of books, oh her lust for the books, she imagine herself just flipping through page after page of books and she didn’t care how she got them, lie or steal, connive or cheat, hell with them.
Oh and the second these thoughts were all thought a box fell from the sky, Rarity dived for it but Fluttershy slapped her and sent her into a wall, Derpy just picked it up and said, “It OBVIOUSLY is mine, my name is right on the front of it!” this was an obvious lie, as the only thing on the top was curvy lettering reading ‘Chaos Vadum Sceptrum’ “Oh shut the hell up, you are so annoying!” Pinkie Pie said smacking the box out of her hoofs. Landor just came up, smacked them both grabbed the box, and rose it way up in the air with magic. “Shut the FUCK up!” He may have been corrupted, but only with Betrayal, so he could think of what they had to do with them. “We just need to-“was all he could get out before fainting, he had been struck with a spell by Twilight, causing the box to fall and be caught by her. She said, her voice echoing around the castle, or perhaps that was just her, “Silence fool, I remember what we were here for, but who says I want that to happen
