Love Songs and Butterflies : Charade (EG)

After the bell rang, and Buck Withers had left for his next class, Crashie Tunez just sat there against the locker he was beaten against. He sighed and looked to the floor, wiping of the blood from his lip and tearing up.
I knew it. His voice cracked. I knew this would happen, I bet there's gonna be more abuse coming my way...I just know it. Just the very thought led to fear as he was shaking and sobbing in his hands.

All his life, this truly was no surprise. For the boy had stayed in the same house and same neighborhood since birth. You'd think Crashie would like that, but that wasn't the case. He absolutely hated the fact that he had been stuck with Buck all his life. Sure he told his parents, however they gave him the whole "Ignore them and they'll ignore you" bit...it didn't work. He still suffered that wedgie in 4th grade and so on.

In middle school, he tried telling the principle. Eventually Withers was put into detention....but only for a week. A WEEK! After every wedgie, toilet dunk, and beat down--which started in middle school--, he had to suffer A WEEK of detention!?

Just then, a closed door is heard across the hall. Crashie decides to look up when he hears footsteps approach closer. It was Miss Cheerily, the Canterlot High mathematics teacher. She sees Crash and kneels down to his level, smiling a little.

"You okay there? You should be in class." She says with a joyful tone.

The teacher might have been joyful, but Crashie wasn't even gonna crack a smile. He just got up and nodded, walked across the hall and into the math room. This made Cheerily tilt her head, quite confused as she watched him go into the room. "Hmm, strange boy."
In a matter of 4 seconds she managed to creep a smile again. "Oh, I'm sure he'll be more into it. After all, this is Canterlot High." The teacher then began walking back to class herself.
