Author's Note

I honestly almost went into tears while writing this.....hope you'll enjoy it

Hopeless

Fluttershy opened the door to her room and turned on the light, greeted by Angel bunny. The sight of his little smile and flick of an ear made her giggle. "Why hello Angel." She picks him up and sits on her bed, stroking his head slightly.
Though everything went ok when she got home, such as her mom greeting her with a smile, and the fact that she got an A+ in History, something was wrong. She sighed and rested her on the garden-colored comforter. Staring at the ceiling, her mind started to wander.

Whenever this happened, she'd usually pulled out her pink journal and write down what was wrong. This time she did just that; she sat up and opened her night stand dewar, taking out a pink notebook with a monarch butterfly on the bottom right hand corner, and a pen. She wrote:

How could this happen? How could I not notice him at first? I'm so stupid! Now Crashie and Rainbow Dash are gonna be....

Fluttershy sheds a tear onto the word "Together" after writing it and putting a period. She continues, sniffling.

Why? Why can't I be with him? I've been with him longer then she has! Well, in the shadows, but nonetheless I've been with him longer! I just don't know what to do. Not only has this been happening, but my father recently left me and my mother. My life is falling apart! No one is noticing me at school at all, my father left me only sorrow (Heaven knows why), and now the boy of my dreams is being taken by my best friend...

She rips out the page crumbles it, throwing it and the pen against the closed door and slammed her face into the pillow. She sobs loudly, muffled by the force she released onto the object against her face. Fluttershy's mother knocked and asked. "Everything ok in there?"

"Yes..." She muffled. "Yes I-I'm fine..."

The mother then went on her way, unaware of the suffering her daughter was going through, at least right now.

Fluttershy's cell phone rings, she grabs it and answers, her face lifted from the pillow. "H-hello?" She sniffled.

"Oh! Fluttershy! There you are!" Rainbow Dash said on the other end. "Hey, got some awesome news! There's a concert going on here at the park! Crashie and Flash Sentry are gonna rock! I was wondering if you wanted to come. Cuz you know....it's music."

Fluttershy sighed and thought for a moment. "Ok. Sure. I'll be right over."

"Great!" Dash shouts. "Show starts in 20 minutes!"

Fluttershy hangs up and puts her phone on her night stand and sniffles, looking down at the floor.
