Chapter 1:The meeting
Fluttershy’s POV
It was two weeks since the mysterious pony arrived in front of my house. I was at the spa with Rarity. “Fluttershy? Fluttershy are you okay? Dear do I need to call a medic?” Rarity asked. “Hmm? Oh were you talking to me Rarity?” I asked. “tsk tsk tsk. It’s the mystery pony isn’t it? The thing that is keeping you even quieter than you usually are. I can’t say I blame you, that pony can appear in front of me any hour.” Rarity mused in a coy voice. “Ra-rarity!” I gasped.
“What? I was only being honest.” Rarity said as she looked me. I grabbed my mane and tried hide in it. It has been a week since the the mysterous pony healed and went to the everfree forest. “Darling are you sure that you haven’t seen that hunk since he flew into the woods?” Rarity asked. “I’m sorry I haven’t seen him, Rarity.” I said. “I hope he is okay. He was hurt really bad.” I turned to look at Rarity. “I should go check on my animals. Goodbye Rarity.” I said, getting up out of the chair.“Goodbye Fluttershy. Say hello to the pony if he shows up, okay?” Rarity said. I nodded to let her know I will do just that.
I turned and walked out of the double doors of the spa.i looked up at sky. I saw that it dark already already. I turned and walked towards my house. I was almost at the door of my home when I saw Zecora out of the corner of my eye. I turned to greet her. I raised a hoof in greeting, and she did the same. Zecora gestured next to her. I saw something back up next to Zecora. She moved her head to talk to the mysterious pony. I heard a complaint. My started racing. I knew that voice, the voice that washed over me two weeks ago. I heard a sigh of defeat.
I thought I would faint when I saw the mysterious pony walk out of the woods. “Hi. My name is Midnight Sun, and Zecora says your name is Fluttershy. Do you mind if I come inside?”
Midnight Sun’s POV
I was in a clearing in Everfree forest; deep in thought. I couldn’t thinking of the yellow pony.Who are you? Why can’t I stop thinking about you? I thought. That’s it, I’m going to see her. I stood from the rock I was sitting on and walked to the cave that I call home. I gathered my possesions and put them in a hole under a stone slab that is under my bed. I walked to the door and turned around, looking to make sure all my stuff was properly concealed. Nodding in approval, I walked out of my cave. I stopped and looked at the trees around my cave, as if this was the last time I would see them.
I turned and began to walk in the direction of ponyville; thinking of the yellow, ocean blue eyed, and pink maned, pegasus. My mind was on autopilot, my body moving while my mind was elswhere. While I was thinking of the yellow pony, I bumped into a hooded mare. “I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there. My mind was away.” I said. Then I noticed the weird design in the mare’s fur. She had black stripes over a white coat. I saw that she had five gold rings around her neck, and the same amount on her left foreleg. “More careful you should be, there are many things not afraid to hurt thee.” The strange mare said. The strange mare started walking away.
I raised an eyebrow at her and galloped to catch her.“Oookaayy? Anyway do you know the way to ponyville? I’m kinda lost, I haven’t been in this section of the woods since…” I trailed off. “I sense you have a history at ponyville, may I ask as we cross this hill?” the strange pony asked. “I don’t even know you! How can I share my pain with a pony I don’t know anything about?” I blurted out. The pony turned and looked at me with surprise. “I am sorry, you are right. I apoligize for your worry, I do not want to stress you tonight.” At her words I looked up and saw she right, the night was beggining and the moon was rising. After I stared at the sky for a couple minutes I looked at the strange pony again as we continued walking.
“I’m sorry for snapping at you. It’s just I don’t like that certain memory.” I said to the strange mare. “Is there something I can ask you?” I asked. She nodded. “Do you know a pegasus with yellow fur, a pink mane, blue eyes, and a triple butterfly cutie mark?” “You mean dear Fluttershy. Is she the pony that has caught your eye?” I blushed and looked away. When I looked back at the mare, she simply raised an eyebrow. I cleared my throat. “...Can you introduce me?” I asked the mare cautiously.
Minutes later we were at the edge of the woods, next to Fluttershy’s house. “Maybe we can do this again? I mean it is really dark. I can’t even see myself. Can we come back tomarrow?” the mare, whose name I found to be Zecora, looked at me with confusion. “You asked to meet my good friend Fluttershy, but you cannot even think of meeting her eye?” I looked at Zecora. “Seriously? Your playing that card right now? Fine, I will meet her tonight. Where is she anyways? The lights are off.” I said to Zecora. Zecora pointed at the road in front of Fluttershy’s house.
I stopped looking at the house to look at the direction Zecora’s hoof was pointing. Fluttershy was walking along and humming a small tune. She arrived in front of her house when she noticed Zecora. Fluttershy waved and Zecora raised a hoof in greeting, then pointed it at me. “Why don’t we just do this tomarrow? It’s really dark, I should get back to my house.” Zecoras turned her head towards me and gave me a look. I sighed in defeat. “Alrigth, you win.” I walked out of the forest and in front of Fluttershy. “Hi. My name is Midnight Sun, and Zecora says your name is Fluttershy. Do you mind if I come inside?”
