Spike Falls... Literally
-Applebloom's Point of View-
I lay in bed, hoping that AJ would just leave me alone.
"AppleBloom, get down here, and do your chores!" AJ yelled up the stairs. I groaned and pulled the sheets up above my head. Underneath the sheets I heard loud hoof steps entering my room. AJ pulled the sheets off of me and yelled "GET UP NOW!". I got out of bed and AJ left the room.
I sat on the edge of my bed for a minute and sighed dreamily as I opened my closet door and saw the picture of Spike with a heart around him attached to the inside of the door. I tied my bow into my mane and galloped downstairs.
"Good morning Granny" I said as I zipped past her with such force she nearly fell over. "morin' Big Mac" I zipped past him and screeched to a stop infront of AJ. AJ turned around and when she saw me she sighed. "I need you to go get this to Rarity before you start your chores." She said as she gave me a letter.
"I'm on it!" I saluted at my big sister and galloped off toward the Boutique.
-Spike's Point of View-
"SPIKE!" Twilight yelled into my ear and I jumped out of bed from shock.
"Awwww. I was having best dream about Rarity." I mumbled glaring at Twilight.
"Sorry Romeo, but we've work to do Spike." She said softly. Twilight pulled me on her back and she galloped out the door and flew towards Rainbow Dash's cloud house. (italic is my thoughts)OMG she bought my 'i had a dream about Rarity' thing again!
I griped to Twilight's mane as I was still a not used to Twilights' wings... and she was still quite a clumsy flyer. "What do we need from Rainbow, Twilight?" I asked.
"We need her help..." She mumbled just loud enough so I could hear.
"With what?" I asked as we landed on Dashes porch. Twilight knocked on the door completely ignoring my question.
"Rainbow Dash?" She yelled through the door. No answer. "Rainbow??" She screamed again. No answer. She pushed the door only to see it was unlocked.
She walked through to see Rainbow Dash and Soarin talking and seemingly not even seeing them. Twilight just stared at Rainbow Dash and Soarin smiling softly. They were talking to softly for us to hear them.
"Rainbow." I said pretty loud. They jumped and Rainbow practically fell into Soarin's lap and they both blushed so hard and fumbled. "O-oh sorry So-Soarin" Rainbow muttered jumping off his lap.
"N-no its.. Its o-okay... I better go.." Soarin zipped out of the house so quick that you couldn't even see him. Twilight stared at Rainbow suspiciously. Rainbow Dash was staring at the door emotionless.
Twilight pushed me out of the house then. I just stared at the door completely shocked. After I got over the shock I realised the cloud was getting really thin underneath me. Suddenly it 'POOFED' and I fell through.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I screamed. Then it was black.
-Appleblooms Point of View-
I entered The Boutique to see Rarity rushing around the Boutique stressing about her dresses. She was mumbling about something that I couldn't understand.
"Rarity..." I started when she interupted me and yelled "I'VE GOT IT!" and ran up the stairs.
"Rarity!" I shouted. No answer. "Rarity!" I yelled a little louder. "This is how Spike must feel like, trying to get Rarities attention." I mumbled and blushed at the thought of Spike.
Rarity came back down the stairs and I stepped in front of her before she could continue. "Oh! AppleBloom! What a nice surprise! How can I help you?" She had finally answered me, but her eyes were still glancing around the room.
"This is from AJ" I passed her the letter and exited before she even had the chance to reply. I couldn't stand staying in Rarities Boutique for too long because all I could think of was Spike and how much time he spent in there.
I slowly walked home with my head down and my bow drooping. I was thinking about Spike and how he loved Rarity. Not me...*sigh* . I heard a loud scream and then something fell hard onto my back. I turned my head to see a fainted Spike.
I was so shocked to see him on my back, and I just didn't know what to do so I started galloping home to see what AJ would do.
AppleBlooms Fantastic Idea...
-AppleBlooms Point of View-
"AppleBloom! What in tarnation is goi-" AJ screams in surprise as I zip by with Spike bouncing on my back. "AJ follow me!" I scream, interrupting her. After a few second of standing in shock, she gallops up next to me.
"What is going on AppleBloom?" AJ says with worry on her face.
"Spike fell out of the sky, and I don't know what to do!" I Yelled at AJ. I ran upstairs and into my room with AJ by my side.
I look up at AJ, but she seems to be staring into space. I gently lay Spike on my bed and trot past AJ to fetch a cold, damp cloth to place on Spikes head.
As i enter my room again, AJ still seemed to be frozen and I trotted nervously up to Spike. My thoughts went wild. What happened to Spike? Why was he falling from the sky? what should I do? UGGGGHHHHHH!!! WHY DID I HAVE TO HAVE A CRUSH ON THIS PURPLE DRAGON?! IF I DIDN'T, EVERYTHING WOULDN'T BE SO CONFUSING!
I placed the cloth on his head and turned to AJ. I nudged her side softly and she shook her head. "what should I do AJ?" I whispered nervously.
"Oh! Uh- just stay here and make sure that when he wakes up, you tell him what has happened." My eyes widened in worry and she must of noticed it. "Can you handle that?" she whispered. "Y-yeah.. I can do it!" Plastering a smile on my face.
AJ trotted out my room and I sat on the edge of my bed. Spike lay there still as mouse. I smiled softly as he started to smile at his dream... I wonder what exactly he was dreaming of.
-Spikes Point of View-
"AppleBloom.. Are you ok?" I asked softly. I know she's delicate. I mean, remember that one time she got herself the Cutie Pox.
She looked at me and disappeared. My dreams are weird, if you can't figure that out...
I looked around again and saw AppleBloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie-Belle walk towards me. I put my hands up to my head incase they'd yell at me too, then when I heard nothing I slowly took my hands down. They were all smiling at me and AppleBloom gave me her hoof and pulled me up to my feet. Scootaloo jumped forward and riddled me with this "When you feel lost, open your eyes and your heart will pay the cost." and they all disappeared.
I opened my eyes and saw AppleBloom standing by her window, staring out to the infinite valley of apple trees, mumbling to herself.
"W-what happened" I whispered. AppleBloom turned around and looked at me startled.
"Oh, uh hey Spike" She said as she walked over to the bed and sat on the edge.
I tried to sit up but AppleBloom interrupted me "No, no you should lie down" and I followed her request. "So, uh, I bet you want to know what happened?" She said to the wall above my head.
"Uh, yeah" I mumbled. She looked down at me blushing the slightest. Whats the matter with her today? "Are you ok AppleBloom?" I asked.
"Oh yeah i'm fine! I just got something on my mind, thats all!" She smiled. "Okay..." I muttered awkwardly. We sat there for about a minute in awkward silence until... "Oh, sorry! Basically I was exiting Rarities Boutique, was walking home with my head down, when I heard a scream and something fell on my back. Then I looked at what was there and I was so surprised when I saw it was you that I went a little crazy and galloped home and AJ came with me up here, I put the cloth on your head, AJ was frozen in thought and then she left. then i was staring out the window when you woke up. *Big Breathe* And here we are!" She said. I looked at her dumbfounded. Then memories caught up to me.
"Oh, yeah, I remember what happened. I was going to Rainbow Dashes place with Twilight and then they kicked me out and I fell through the cloud."
I hadn't looked at Appleblooms face much since i woke up but when I did, I saw the most honest little filly you ever could see. her eyes were filled with genuine concern for me. I looked away before I could blush. I got up from her bed and handed her the cloth.
"thank you dearly, kind AppleBloom, but i must be heading back to the Castle" I made a small bow and ran to the castle.
-AppleBlooms Point of View-
As Spike handed me the cloth, his cold hand brushed against my hoof for a spit second and I was lost in dreams. ohmygoshohmygoshohmygosh I squealed to myself. He did a small bow to me and ran out.
I fell against my closet door and phoned Scootaloo and Sweetie Bell. "its about time I told you. Come over to my house tomorrow. please." I said in one breathe. For a couple of seconds all I could hear was their breathing and then in unison they both said.. "I'll be there!"
I opened my drawer and opened my notebook. Inside I had researched all I could find on the topic of any pony had ever 'gone' with a dragon in history. So far, none. I pushed it away and looked at my picture of Spike. I sighed in frustration. I just had to get this frustration out...
I galloped at full speed out side to the apple trees and started bucking apples. AJ would be so mad at me, seeing I was too young and I could hurt myself. UGH! i just needed to get this frustration out.
The rain started falling on my mane and I just fell hopelessly against the tree and started sobbing. Nothing could be worse... It just isn't possible.
"AppleBloom?" AJ yelled out from the barn. I trotted towards the barn as Pinkie Pie grabbed me and pulled me in. Inside I saw every-pony, and i'll list them here to help you imagine them:sigh )staring at ME !!!SQUEEEEE ... A bit weirdly, like he was upset or something) (Oh wait... There was a picture of Rarity behind me.. sigh )
Pinkie Pie bounced up to me and looked at me strangely "You look like you need a hug." and she enveloped me in a huge hug and I couldn't help but smile.
"Thanks Pinkie, I needed that" I said smiling up at the pink mare.
Scootaloo and Sweetie Bell pulled me aside. "What did you want to tell us?" Scootaloo asked. "Oh-uh... Lets wait 'till tomorrow.." I said nervously.
"Hey Squirt!" Rainbow Dash ruffled Scootaloo's Mane. Before Scootaloo could answer, Fluttershy asked us all to calm down.
We looked up at her then and all you could hear was the hard patter of rain hitting the window panes. "I-uh, we would like to say something.. Please." Flutter shy whispered. "Go ahead Darling." Rarity said softly. Flutter shy smiled and took Discords hand.
The room tensed up. "discordandiaredating " she squeaked. the room was silent once more and Fluttershy continued. "It all really started when I took care of him... We started writing letters and, well, you see what happened after that..."
Discord was silent and didn't say a word. Everyone was shocked that Fluttershy could have done something, like this..
But I was in awe. Maybe... Maybe this is a sign that Spike and I could be a thing! I was so excited that I started clapping my hooves insanely "YAAAAAAYYYYY!" I screamed. Every ponies head turned to me and just didn't cared. I was staring at the couple in the middle who were gazing into each others eyes and seemed oblivious to the scene that was occurring before them.
Twilight whispered something into Spikes ear and he walked up to me calmly (but was staring elsewhere), took my hoof (and was slightly shaking) and pulled me out of the barn into the rain. He looked at me like i'd gone mad (and a hint of something else. Like admiration...). He shook his head and pulled me to my room. By that time I was blushing like crazy and soaked to the bone.

I don't really know what I am going to do with this, but something will come up... something always does!
Please excuse my grammar, sometimes I just get tired so yeahhhhh....

Hopes and Dreams
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
I lay on my bed staring at the ceiling above me. Luna’s beautiful moonshined its rays in through my window and onto my ceiling and wall.
I didn’t know what to do. I always thought I knew what to do, but now… Not so much.
I sighed as I closed my eyes to try and get some sleep. Sleep was the only thing I was sure I needed these days.
-Spike’s Point of View-
I lay in my tiny bed staring at Twilight. She was out cold, and her snores echoed around the Castle.
I stood up slowly, careful not to wake the sleeping pony. I walked out of the room and walked towards the balcony.
When I was outside, I stared up at Luna’s shining moon.
Everyone was sure I still loved Rarity… But for the past 3 months, I hadn’t thought about her once… Well, not like that at least.
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
I shivered against the chilly air of Luna’s night. Ever since I closed my eyes, all of my thoughts ran threw my mind; and every single one was about Fluttershy and her one, true love.
I clenched my eyes closed, wishing upon a star that I’d get a chance with Spike. A chance is all I needed.
I shifted underneath the sheets and squeezed into a ball, a single tear rolling down my cheek.
-Spikes Point of View-
If I thought I had a chance with her, I’d be kidding no pony. She was so perfect.
Her eyes and the way they gleamed, reflecting all her hopes, dreams and feelings. Her eyes were too honest to lie.
And her smile was like nothing you could ever imagine! When she smiled genuinely, she glowed! And I mean literally glow!
Every thing about her was perfect, her smile, her eyes, her ears, her mane, everything!
I especially loved her bow, her bow showed everything abut her. In some words... Her bow was perfection.
Just thinking about her made me smile. She always did.
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
I had cried myself to sleep, rolled into a ball underneath my sheets.
When I did wake up, my back hurt and my mane was messy, but I didn’t care. I got out of my bed with a forlorn sigh, brushed my mane and redid my bow because I accidently left it in when I went to sleep.
I sat on my bed staring at the door. I took a big breath, stood up, walked to the door, opened it, and walked out.
I walked slowly down the stairs and into the kitchen. “Morning Granny, AJ and Big Mac” I said nodding at the three ponies in turn.
I glued a fake smile on my face as I sat down to the battered table. A bowl of oats was set in front of me and I obediently started eating.
AJ was unusually quiet and I looked up at her suspiciously. As soon as I swallowed I opened my mouth and said, “Are you okay AJ?”
She nodded slowly in reply. For a pony representing honesty, she should’ve known that I’d see right through her 'act'.
I dropped my spoon into my bowl and put both hooves on the table. “AJ, I can see that something is wrong with you.” I said softly. She was silent. I thought about what it could be and then I looked up at her and into her eyes. In her eyes I saw restraint; but from what ?
“What is the matter AJ?” I asked again. She sighed and looked away. I was so shocked to see her burst out laughing that I fell out of my chair. Big Mac who was also laughing pulled me up from the ground.
Granny Smith started snickering like a filly which quickly escalated into full on snorting and rolling on the ground with laughter.
-Spike’s Point of View-
I opened my eyes sleepily and realized I had fallen asleep on the balcony. I stood up and walked back through into the castle with a smile on my face.
For some reason, I was glowing with happiness. “This is what Pinkie Pie must feel like every day!” I yelled in excitement to myself, but the castle seemed to respond by letting even more light shine in through the windows.
Nothing could go wrong today.
I walked into the throne room to see Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. I glanced around as I sat into my own mini throne.
Fluttershy seemed to be explaining to them her feelings for Discord while all of the other girls were staring at her emotionless.
At the end of her explanation, Twilight glanced around to each of the girls and stopped at Fluttershy. She stood up from her throne and started walking towards Fluttershy. “Fluttershy, I can’t say I exactly, ‘agree’ with your feelings for Discord. But…” she stopped walking and started hugging Fluttershy. “I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!” She squealed.
With that Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash joined in the hug smiling.
After a few minutes of hugging they broke away and got back to their seats.
It seemed that they only now noticed that I was in the room.
I looked around to each of the girls and then I noticed that behind Twilight, she had a golden brown book.
I immediately recognized that as MY golden brown book. The one book where I write my feelings towards ponies. Okay, I admit, it’s mostly about Apple Bloom.
My eyes widened. “Tw-Twilight… Why do you have that book behind you? WH-Where did you find it?” I tried to sound calm, but it came out desperate. She looked at me like I was crazy. "What book Spike?" Then it was my tern to look at her like she was crazy.
Then, Rainbow Dash grabbed the book and started Laughing.
"whats going on?!" Fluttershy and Twilight growled in anger in unison.
I stood up from my seat and walked towards Rainbow.
I was frozen in shock as Rainbow trotted to me and handed it to me.
Sweet Honey Iced Tea.
I gingerly took the golden book from Rainbow's hooves. "Don't worry squirt, I promise I wasn't going to read about you and they way you think of..." Crab... She knew..."Rarity" She said with a tiny smirk on her face. I let out a huge sigh of relief. They didn't know. Yet.
"Thank goodness..." I muttered as I walked out of the room. Twilight and Fluttershy were glaring at Rainbow while Pinkie seemed to be staring into space this whole time. I was glad they were... Because Apple Bloom was too special. Too special to me.

A Simple Errand
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
After the incident in the kitchen where Big Mac, AJ and Granny were laughing at me (for some weird reason.) I stormed out into my room
I cleaned my room up a bit, while I was waiting for Scootaloo and Sweetie-Bell to come over. I was a bit nervous because I’ve kept this secret from everyone accept Tootles and my closet… Tootles is my teddy bear that I’ve had since I was 3.
And he was one of the most important things I own.
“Hay AB!” Sweetie-Bell and Scootaloo exclaimed in unison. I turned around to see the two standing next to my closet! “Hi girls!” I started grinning. “So what is this mysterious secret you wanted us to know about so badly?” Scootaloo whispered raising an eyebrow quizzically.
I pointed my hoof at the bed, “lets talk on my bed” We jumped up on my bed, the two girls leaning against the wall and facing my closet and bedroom door.
Sweetie-Bell sat still while Scootaloo was fidgeting ever so slightly. “What’s up with you Scootaloo?” I said trying to stall from me having to confess. She glanced at the ceiling then back at me. “Well, Rainbow Dash has been spending aaaaaallllll of her time with some colt from the Wonderbolts, and when she does see me, all she does is stare into space and its annoying… But enough about me… What did you want to tell us?” Scootaloo said.
Sweetie-Belle rolled her eyes at Scootaloo and muttered something about rudeness then converted all of her focus on me.
I took a big breath and closed my eyes. “Well, for, like, um, ever, I’ve had this huge crush on Spike…” I was silent for a second, and begun talking again, my voice was cracking slightly but I knew I had to get through this.
“He’s just so-“ I was interrupted by the girls “Uh. AB-“ I covered their mouths with my hooves and continued. “ As I was saying, he’s so hard-working and I just… Fell” I removed my hooves and looked at the girls.
Their faces were blushing slightly and staring at my door. “H-Hi AJ” They muttered. My eyes widened as I turned slowly, hoping it wasn’t true.
Fudge-sticks. I forgot to close the door.
-Spike’s Point of View-
After I had hide my book somewhere I thought no-pony would ever find it, I decided to go out for a walk. I started writing a note for Twilight, and just as I was about to leave, Twilight yelled for me from the study.
I sighed and slowly started walking to her study, when she called even louder “SPIIKKEE!” I ran into the study to see Twilight standing there levitating 5 envelopes. “I need you to go get these to the girls… Got that?” I simply nodded and grabbed the envelopes.
I ran outside of the castle and set out for the Sugar-Cube Conner first. I had a plan in my head.
I walked into Sugar-Cube Corners, to see Pinkie Pie practically jumping off of the walls in excitement. I tapped her on the shoulder and she spun around, “Hiya Spike! What’s up?” She said with a huge grin on her face.
“Nothing much… How about you?”
Pinkie started fidgeting as if she wanted to start bouncing again. “Oh, I am just- uh really, happy about something…” Then she sort of blushed. I think. I couldn't see, because then and there she stared bouncing in place.
I decided I should let her do her thing as soon as possible. “Here Pinkie!” I said, handing her the envelope with her name scrawled on it. “It’s from Twilight.” She smiled at me and gave me a special sapphire muffin as I walked out the door. “Bye Spike!”
I took a big bite out of my muffin and grunted slightly as the taste of the sapphires combined with the vanilla cupcake and it entwisted to create the most delicious combination of a food in the dragon world.
It was almost as beautiful as Apple Bloom.
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
I looked away from AJ, not knowing what to expect. “Apple Bloom… I- I didn’t know you thought about Spike that way.” She said gently.
“We-Well I do.” I said trying to sound confident. My eyes were closed.
I heard a couple of hoof steps coming closer to my bead. “I, I know how it feels Apple Bloom…” AJ said, taking a big breath “I’ve felt like that about a pony before!” I opened my eyes. “Really?” I exclaimed. She just doesn’t seem like the pony that would go head over hooves for a pony… Or dragon in my case.
AJ laughed softly. “Every pony does around your age Apple Bloom!” She said with a soft grin.
“So- so you won’t tell!” I said with a bit of excitement in my voice. She nodded in reply and then looked down at the floor. “A-Apple Bloom… I’m sorry.”
I stared at her for a second wondering what she was about to say. “For this morning… Ya see I heard this rumor from some pony saying you had a crush on Spike. And I thought about you, and how you were such good friends with Spike that I thought it was ridiculous! And then that caused Big Mac, Granny and I to laugh… Then I found out it was true.” She looked up into my eyes. “I-I’m so sorry”
I smiled at AJ and nudged her shoulder softly with my hoof, “Awn, don’t worry ‘bout it!”
Then AJ left my room whistling a tune and I turned back to my friends. They were all tense, acting like statues. I blushed slightly feeling a bit awkward. “So. Uh. Now you know! He he…”
Sweetie-Belle said deadpanned “Oh, we already knew.” I was shocked at her response and looked at Scootaloo who nodded. “Wha-But… How?” Sweetie-Belle loosened up a bit and smiled at me. “We’ve seen the way you look at him! It’s hard not too!” She ended that with a wink and I gulped. “R-Really?”
Scootaloo sighed in boredom. Sweetie-Belle and I looked at Scootaloo and she stared back “What? I’m so bored!!” She jumped off of the bed. “Why don’t we go to the Clubhouse!” She said with a grin.
All I wanted to do was get out of here, and get some air. I grinned at Scootaloo, then at Sweetie-Belle and Sweetie-Bell charged out of my room. “Last person there is a rotten egg!” she screamed as her voiced faded.
And so it began.
-Spike’s Point of View-
I walked up to Fluttershy’s cottage praying to Celestia Discord wasn’t home. Pleasedon’tbehere! Pleasedon’tbehere! Pleasedon’tbehere!
Her door opened and The Lord of Chaos himself greeted me. I groaned in my mind. I just wanted to get out of here as soon as I could. Before Discord could begin talking, I handed him the white envelope, with Fluttershy’s name quickly scribbled onto it. And ran away. As soon as I was out of there I fell on my back and tried to catch my breath.
I got up after a while and began walking slowly towards The Boutique. I really didn’t want to go there because then I’d have to put up that ‘act’. UGH!!
I was about to knock on the door when I realized I could just slip the envelope through the crack at the bottom of the door. I hit my face with my hand. Why didn’t I think of that before?
I went to Rainbow’s house and looked around for her mailbox. She had one on the ground for just this purpose. Then I walked towards Sweet Apple Acres.
I knocked on the front door of the house to hear the sound of hooves hitting hard against the wood of the ground.
Suddenly the door swung open which caused me to topple backwards and then a pony fell on me. I groaned as I pushed the pony off gently. I rubbed my head and looked at the pony that had fallen on top of me.
“Oh-Uh sorry Scootaloo!” I ran to her helping her up. “Are you ok?” Then another pony fell on us. I groaned again as a third fell -yet again- on the pile again.
I squeezed my self out and saw three fillies moaning in pain on the ground.
I looked at Apple Bloom. And my heart flew.
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
I opened my eyes to see Spike looking right at me. And my heart sung.
The Festival of Starswirl the Bearded
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
When I saw Spike, my stomach sort of flipped and butterflies flew around it. I couldn’t bring myself to look in his eyes or I’d probably do something I’d regret.
So I looked at the sky. The fluffy clouds and the leaves of the trees were reaching for the sun. I started to drift away, to a world I knew better than reality.
But of course, I’d be pulled away. “Apple Bloom… You sure you’re okay?” Spike asked with worry etched on his face. “Yep…”
I helped Sweetie-Bell up while Spike did the same with Scootaloo.
After I recovered I tried to tame my feelings. “So… Uh… Why are you here Spike?” I asked staring at the space just about his spikes. His spikes where practically perfect, when the sun behind me fell on his spikes, they shone. “Oh, uh, Twilight wanted this to get to AJ a.s.a.p.” He said slightly more slowly than usual.
He sure was acting abnormal. He passed me the letter and I put it on the ground for a moment. “I’ll get that to her right now!” I smiled at the two ponies who where staring at me. Then I looked into Spike’s eyes. “Goodbye Spike, See ya later!” I then glanced at the two fillies and nodded to them each in turn.
They understood what I meant. I picked up the letter and trotted past the three and into the fields. As soon as I was out of eyesight, my mind started to comprehend what had just happened. I got angry with myself. I mean why did you act so shy? I’ve known him forever! But then again… He’s Spike! How can a pony not be shy around Spike? It’s impossible!
-Spike’s Point of View-
I looked at Apple Bloom trot away towards the fields and you wouldn’t believe how hard it was to not run after her. I turned my head towards the other two fillies and smiled brightly towards them. They were unusually quiet…
“Um, is, uh, everything okay?” I asked quizzically and they snapped out of… What ever they were in. “Yeah, uh, we’re fine thanks!” Sweetie-Bell said brightly.
“Just thinking about something…” Scootaloo said holding in a giggle. I raised my eyebrow for a second but then I started to turn. “Well… I better get back to Twilight, Bye!” I said and then began to walk off towards The Castle. When I was out of vision and earshot. I began dancing down the path in glee.
No pony knew it yet… But I knew just what to do.
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
I trotted up to AJ and tapped her on her shoulder. She turned around quickly and smiled at me. I handed her the Envelope and sat down next to her as she began to open it. She scanned the envelope and beamed at Apple Bloom.
I jumped up in excitement. “Don’t tell me it is…” I said with a large grin on my face, larger than any one Pinkie could muster. “It is!!” AJ said jumping up and down.
“I can’t believe you got invited to the Festival of Starswirl the Bearded!” I screamed in excitement. AJ couldn’t contain her happiness and a bit streamed out of her eyes and on her cheeks.
I slowly flew down from cloud 9 and sat on my flank. “Maybe… Maybe you could go to the spot Mum and Dad met.” I said hopefully at AJ. She looked down at me and sat down next to me.
We sighed as we thought of our parents. I don’t remember anything accept from things AJ, Big Mac and Granny Smith told me. I leant against AJ. “When you get there, got to the place were our parents met and write a full letter describing it. Okay?” I whispered.
“Got it.” AJ whispered. We sat there for a full 4.8 minutes until AJ got practically bounced up onto four hooves. “Back to work I go!” She said.
I trotted towards the house but when Apple Jack couldn’t see me anymore, I galloped towards Fluttershy’s cottage.
I needed answers… And I needed them now.

OH! I almost forgot! When this story is finished, I'm gonna write some others about Cheese and Pinkie, Button Mash and Sweetie-Bell and maybe some about Saorin and Dashie. What do you think?
BTW if you want to know about how this is going to end, lets just say I like bittersweet endings :pinkie gasp: That means It'll hopefully be adorable but it won't be like they'll end up together forever:rainbow huh: which probably makes no sense. But OH WELL!

A Short Note Accompanied With A Short Visit
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
I slowed to a trot as I reached the bridge outside of Fluttershy’s garden and took in the surroundings. Every time I’ve been here, I’ve never truly looked and took in the surroundings.
But now that I had, it was beautiful. The way the stream ran and moved around the rocks protruding the shimmery surface. The way that the leaves on the trees brushed against each other. It was all music. “No wonder Fluttershy loves it here” I mumbled to myself.
I looked up at the house and saw it sitting there silent except from the occasional squeak of mice. Wow… She even got Discord to keep the house on the ground. I walked up to the door and took a big breath.
And knocked.
-Spike’s Point of View-
I’m so happy I don’t think I’ll ever come down! I know exactly what to do! I can’t exactly just waltz up to Apple Bloom and kiss her, I mean that isn’t right. I blushed at the thought and brushed it away.
No… I was going to be her secret admirer. A lot of mares like that stuff right? I’m pretty sure they do. I was lost in my thoughts and didn’t realize I had already arrived at the shimmery, crystal castle. I peeked around the corner into the study, hoping Twilight wasn’t there.
“Spike! There you are! What took you so long?” She looks at me with an eyebrow raised. I sigh and walk into the study. “Never mind that, I need you to sort out the library next door.” She says already back to her books.
So this was going to take a while. I look inside the Library and stand in shock at the mess. There were books everywhere! There weren’t any even on the shelves; they were sitting on windowsills, in chairs, even on the chandelier.
I sigh as I begin. I wasn’t going anywhere fast.
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
I stood there for a second when Fluttershy opened the door.
“Hi Fluttershy!” I said cheerfully. She looked at me cautiously. “Th-This isn’t about another sleepover is-is it?” she asked quietly.
“Oh, no, no its not!” I said a little quieter. I looked behind me and leaned closer towards Fluttershy. “It’s about you and Discord,” I whispered. Her eyes shot open and she nodded slightly and moved away from the door allowing me to enter. I walked inside and saw that most of the animals were quietly sitting around.
Something wasn’t quite right. Angel never sits still. I looked around more to see everything was pristine. I looked at Fluttershy who by then was standing next to me. “Where’s Discord?” I asked. She looked down towards me and smiled a warm smile. “He’s out preparing for… Our- uh date…” She said even more quiet than usual. Angel’s ears perked up and he glared at Fluttershy and then crossed his arms. I nodded.
I moved towards the couch and Fluttershy joined me. “So, Apple Bloom… What do you want to know?” She said looking into my eyes and smiled dreamily… Probably thinking about Discord. Then something sparkled in her eye.
“Firstly, I’m a big fan”
-Spike’s Point of View-
I looked around at the spotless library and smiled at my work. I looked at the clock and saw it was 3:53. “Yes! My quickest time!” I said happily, it had only taken me 2 hours.
Now I could finally write my first note to Apple Bloom. I sat down at the small table in the middle of the room with a piece of paper and a quill. I closed my eyes, took a big breathe and began writing.
This note had to be perfect. It had to portray my feelings towards her, without overwhelming her, or letting her know whom it was from.
She was so fragile and so exquisite, so happy and bright.
It wasn’t long, so it wouldn’t bore her. Well, I don’t think any note talking about her would bore her. I folded it into a tiny square and held it in my claws. I looked up at the clock and saw the time was 12:45. Peanuts. I walked slowly towards the bedroom and peeked around the corner to see Twilight sound asleep.

I was going to have you do some more chores but I saw you so fixated in your writing that I decided not to bother you

P.S Don’t get used to it though! Because tomorrow, I need your help to pack for The Festival of Starswirl the Bearded.
I smiled at the note and crawled into bed and sighed as I sunk into the pillow/mattress. I placed the tiny, folded note to Apple Bloom underneath my pillow and fell asleep.
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
As soon as I had said it, Fluttershy burst into laughter and nearly fell off of the sofa. I just rolled my eyes. This seemed to become the regular to me. After 7 minutes had past Fluttershy had calmed down and I had her full attention again.
“That’s good to know Apple Bloom! Seeing not many other ponies’ accept… ‘Us’.” I looked at Fluttershy more closely, something had changed about her. Oh, I know what it is! She’s more confident! You can definitely see in in her posture!
I smiled brightly at Fluttershy. “You and Discord are a total inspiration to me!” I said grinning even more. She looked at me and smiled a smile I had never seen before in my life. This smile was filled with hope and true happiness, and full of love. One day I want to smile like that…
“Okay, well I guess I should ask you the questions I came her for!” I said still smiling. Fluttershy nodded in agreement and grabbed a cushion that had fallen off onto the floor when she had that laughing fit, and started hugging it as I began to ask the questions.
“W-e-l-l,” I said stretching the word out. I couldn’t meet Fluttershy’s gaze because for the first time since I had arrived at her house, I felt extremely awkward. “I-uh- sort of like this, um, guy –well he isn’t actually a pony- and I want to know how you did it.” I said, my voice shaking.
I looked up at Fluttershy as I said the last part of the sentence, and I saw the kindest creature you could ever see. Her eyes were understanding and her smile was found.
“I know how you feel Apple Bloom,” she said fondly, draping a hoof around my shoulder. “And I can tell you from experience, that you need to express your feelings. No matter how hard it may seem.” I sat quietly processing the information.
“But, I don’t want to tell him face-to-face…” I whispered.
A big grin erupted on Fluttershy’s face and she gave me a big hug. “Well, if you don’t… Some pony else might take him Apple Bloom. But don’t worry, maybe he’ll express his feelings to you first” she said with a wink. “That’s what happened with me.” she whispered with a wink.
I stood up and walked towards the door smiling “Thanks Fluttershy! This means the world!” I walked outside and heard Fluttershy softly say “No need to thank me Apple Bloom, just inform me when the weddings coming up!” The door closed behind me and my eyes widened.
“N-No I didn’t… I couldn’t… It won’t…Ugh” I said towards the door. I sighed as I trotted towards Sweet Apple Acres. As soon I had entered the east field I realized.
She didn’t answer my question properly.
I stopped in my tracks and turned around to see a purple spotted tree that ‘poofed’ into a brown-bodied creature with two yellow eyes and blood-red pupils and two wings coming out of his back, one blue, one purple, a red scaly tail with a loins paw and claws as his hands.

A Long Night Spent Talking With The Lord Of Chaos
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
Discord stood in front of me with a red Hawaiian shirt and a suitcase in his claws. His smile seemed full of happiness, unlike the times before, where they were filled with chaos; and his eyes were creased in the corners from smiling so brightly. Although it was near the middle of the night, it somehow was bright as day in this small grove.
I looked at him with an eyebrow raised and sighed. “What can I do ya for Discord?” I said to him. His shirt and suitcase disappeared in a poof and he teleported above me so he was upside down and looking into my face. “Oh, I came here…” he stopped midsentence as he teleported into a tree where he leaned against his branches with a glass of chocolate milk.
“But I think I can help you!” he said brightly looking deep into my eyes. He teleported once again so he was sitting down next to my ear. I processed his words but still felt confused.
“How can you help me?” I asked to the creature eating and apple next to me. I knew better than to question Discord about where he got it. He chuckled to him self as I sat down on the dirt. “Ah, Apple Bloom!” He shuffled closer to me and I tensed up as I felt his breath tickle my ear.
“Don’t tell anyone this but…” He said looking around us, “I accidentally overheard your conversion with Fluttershy. I saw his eye twinkle when he mentioned Fluttershy and I smiled softly. Then I frowned as I realized what he had just said. I thought it through in my mind.
“How can you accidently overhear a whole conversation?” I said turning towards the strange creature floating next to me, balancing a stack of china teacups on his head. “Oh, well, I was picking some flowers-because I thought it’d be sweeter than just teleporting them from my garden back home- and I remembered that Fluttershy’s flowers were simply divine, so I started picking those, and then I overheard your conversation.”
I raised an eyebrow. “But her flowers are at least 4 meters from her house.” I said, a hint of accusation in my voice. He looked down at me and shrugged. I shook my head. “But I still don’t understand how you could benefit me?” I said looking up towards the confusing creature.
Then he started blushing a slight and I was taken back. I never knew Discord could blush! I was so taken back that I barely heard what he was talking about. And even if I weren’t taken back, it’d still be quite hard to hear him, as he was mumbling. “Well, who do you think confessed in my… Uh… Relationship.”
My eyes widened and my ears perked up, and if it was possible, my mane brightened up. “Awwwwww!” I sang towards the blushing creature that had somehow managed to obtain a boa and had it draped around his neck. He scratched the back of his head and glanced around the small area worriedly.
Once I had calmed down, I stared up at the –somehow transformed into an- inspiring being.
I didn’t even realize that the sun began rising from the seemingly endless fields of apple trees
-Spike’s Point of View-
“Twilight… Do you really need all of those books?” I picked up the stack of books that practically reached the roof and looked at Twilight expectantly.
“You never know what situation you’ll be in Spike!” The purple mare said as she turned away from her desk and trotted over to her two suitcases. I raised an eyebrow “But over half of these books are about how to turn paintings into fruits.”
Twilight looked at the books I was still holding and seemed to be processing something. “Maybe…. I think you picked up the wrong pile Spike.” I gently placed the book pile down and walked towards another one next to Twilights bed. “I still don’t understand why you need all of these book Twilight. You’re going to a festival! You should be out with your friends! Not reading!” I muttered in a low voice.
Twilight moved her head to look at me and raised an eyebrow. “Spike… What if, what if a monster attacked us again? It’s not like me and my friends are ‘monster-proof’!” She said, almost raising her voice at the end.
Okay… She is clearly paranoid… “Twilight… Is everything okay?” I said, trying to place the books in a suitcase.
“YE-Yes Spike, I am fine.” Twilight started to write a letter to…some pony. “Okay…” I said, stretching out the word.
A couple hours later, all of the bags where packed and we were going to be leaving in 2 hours. I remembered the… Note. I ran out of the room with it, giving Twilight a probably lame excuse and headed towards Sweet Apple Acres.
I managed to get on the grounds without being seen. I saw the tree Big Mac planted for Apple-Bloom, was placed right next to her room… I quickly decided to climb up it and attach the note where she would definitely see it.
I snuck outside again and walked home again.
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
I looked at the ground blushing more than I had ever done before. “So-Uh what you’re saying is…” I said flustered.
“Yes, my dear! Confess! It’s the only way!” Discord sighed, leaning against a tree.
“But… I can’t! I mean, 1, he probably doesn’t like me like that, and 2, I CAN’T!” I almost screamed the last part. And I looked at Discord he rolled his eyes at me.
“Well, I happen to know who he likes.” Discord said, walking around me with a devilish smile on his face. My face fell with my ears and I looked at the ground.
“He- uh, told you did he?” I muttered loud enough for only him to hear. His smile dulled slightly and he sat down… “Welllllllll, not exactly …” He said pausing for a moment before he teleported right in front of me, his face centimeters from mine. A blush wiggled its way onto my cheeks and I glanced away. “But it’s really obvious.” He said with a wink as he leaned back.
I was silent for a moment and looked up at him. “Who is it?” I said quietly. He slapped his claw on his face and pointed to my home. “You best be off… “ I sighed as he turned around, towards Fluttershy’s Cottage. Then he perked up and spun around with a goofy grin on his face.
“You’ll realize whom he likes in a note” he said the last word really slowly. My face was blank with a hint of confusion.
What the hay does that mean? I asked myself after Discord had teleported out of my sight. I trotted home and a yawn escaped my mouth.
When I got inside my room, I glanced around and noticed that there was something attached to the tree outside my window. I slowly walked towards it and detached it.
I opened the note and read it slowly… Cherishing every word, every syllable. I plopped onto my bed and closed my eyes, holding the note to my chest. I couldn’t stop grinning, even after I had fallen asleep.
The note slipped from my grip and fell onto the floor. Inside it, it said:
To the filly with a bow in her mane,
Your smile is like a mountain of gems, shining in the moonlight. And your eyes stand out in a crowd, your one of a kind.
And I love you for it.

The Final Scene
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
I walked slowly towards The Castle. I didn’t care that AJ was probably very angry with me now, seeing I’d skipped my chores for like 3 days in a row. But I didn’t care. I was going to do this today.
Nothing was going to stop me.
I neared the crystal castle, the tip of the star shimmering.
-Spike’s Point of View-
Twilight had just left and I sat in the middle of the throne room. Remembering all or the times I’d be there for them. I lay back so I lay there staring up at the blue ceiling, the crystal chandelier hanging. I closed my eyes.
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
I stopped in front of the throne room door. I knew he was in there. I admit I was scared. I could lose everything… Our friendship… Was I really ready for this? Maybe I shouldn’t do this…
No.
I had to do this. If I don’t, I’ll probably just break…
I took a big breath and opened the door slowly.
-Spike’s Point of View-
I heard the door creak open and my eyes popped open. I sat up and turned around to see Apple Bloom walking towards me. I stood up and met her half way. “Hi App-“ I begun before Apple Bloom’s hoof covered my mouth. I started blushing and looked up at her.
She looked scared, and I started getting worried. She sat down on the floor and removed her hoof. I sat down in front of her while staying silent.
She looked so cute sitting there… I shook my thoughts away. Apple Bloom was scared I have to focus.
-Apple Bloom’s Point of View-
“Spike… I need to c-confess something.” I started; I was avoiding looking into his eyes. If I did, I wouldn’t be able to tell him.
“Well, you see, uh, I’vehadacrushonyoufor,like,foreverandi’msorry,causeyouprobablydon’tlikeme…” I was blurting it all out but I couldn’t continue as I was frozen up. Spike had me stuck in a tight hug and I didn’t know how to respond.
He moved away with a huge grin suspended on his face and I couldn’t help but smile back.
-Spike’s Point of View-
“I *big breath* like you too…” I said blushing.
