Aria grumbled in her bed as she felt a hand gently shaking her awake. She knew there was no way it was morning already, and Adagio doesn't get up in the middle of the night unless it's important. She swore if it was that idiot again...
The shaking continued and slowly got less gentle. Aria groaned and let out a mumbled "What?" To whomever was shaking her, hoping they would stop so she could sleep.
"Aria, I can't sleep."
Aria sighed, she knew that voice all too well. She opens one eye and confirmed her suspicions. There, Sonata stood in her white robe with a few lines of gold on them. Her cutie mark in gold on the hips of the robe.
Aria sat up and rubbed her right eye, "Why are you waking me up then idiot?"
Sonata shuffled in place and poked her index fingers together, "I had a nightmare..."
Aria took a deep breath, ever since she found Sonata playing with that baby stuff after her shower today Sonata seemed to be more childish than ever before. Now what did she want? To sleep with her?
"What do you want me to do about it?"
Sonata pursed her lips and looked to the floor, "Well...I thought you could comfort me for a bit. Till I fell asleep?"
Aria held in a sigh, every time Sonata made that upset face it was hard to ignore what she wanted when it was something small like a taco or a hug. Aria wasn't going soft! It was just really hard to ignore it.
"Alright...alright...just come sit here before this takes all night," she patted the spot to her right, Sonata quickly sitting next to Aria and a smile on her face. She then lays her head on Aria's shoulder and mumbles a "Thank you."
Aria simply nodded slightly, putting her arm around Sonata's shoulder. This convinced Sonata it was alright for her to snuggle up against Aria, which she did. Aria had a light blush on her face, silently cursing the fact that the idiot could be cute when she wanted to be.
While Sonata calmed down, closed her eyes, and simply rested on Aria's shoulder. Aria meanwhile thought back to a few hours ago...
Aria took a deep breath in relief as she stepped out of the bathroom, having taken a shower. She was dressed in a red short sleeved shirt with black pants, ready to go to bed. She walked towards the bedroom and stretched, opening the door and walking in. But she stops a few seconds later in shock.
There, in front of her, was Sonata with a pacifier in her mouth and a teddy bear in her arms on the floor. Sonata reared her head in surprise at Aria and sat there, she didn't expect anyone to come in so soon...
Aria stared at her a few more seconds before bursting out laughing, her hands holding her stomach as she fell onto her knees. Sonata took out the pacifier and had a deep blush on her face, she stampered as she spoke, "I-I-it's not what it looks like Aria!"
Aria looked at Sonata and wiped a tear from her left eye as she calmed down before speaking with a smirk, "I know you're an idiot but I didn't expect you to play with baby stuff! A pacifier?! Hahahaha!"
Sonata's blush got worse as she looked away, holding onto the teddy bear tightly, "It m-makes me feel like a kid again, especially after how Dagi has been today."
Aria kept fighting against her fit of giggles, she hasn't laughed so hard in a long time. She stood up and crossed her arms, the same smirk still there as she spoke in a baby voice, "Does Sonata want her bottle?"
Sonata stood up, clinging to the teddy bear and yelling at Aria, "Stop it!"
Aria chuckled, "Alright idiot, I'll stop. I was just having some fun before bed. Do you want me to tuck you in~?"
Sonata gulped and looked away, she knew Aria was just teasing her more.....
Aria's thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of soft, yet cute snoring. She looked down at Sonata, whom had already fallen asleep on her shoulder.
She sighed, Sonata can be stupid and childish yet cute at the same time. It made sense why she was the most likely to get a date out of the three of them now and then. Aria tugged Sonata a bit closer, causing a faint smile to appear on the blue siren's face.
Aria's thoughts started to drift back again to when Adagio came in and found them both. God she may be a -censored- now and then but finding Sonata had played with baby stuff just made Adagio baffled and stand there for a minute before she quietly went to bed. Though she did mumble something about Sonata.
Sonata shuffled in her sleep and rubbed her face against the purple Siren's shoulder, causing Aria to gain a light blush on her cheeks. Why did Sonata have to be so adorable when she slept? Like a cute kit-
Aria shook her head, what was she thinking?! It was probably her being tired, yeah.
"Perhaps I should go to bed," she mumbled. As she was about to move Sonata off of her shoulder, the blue Siren clinged her arms around Aria and whispered out,"Mommy sing me a lullaby..I can't sleep...."
Aria's eyes went wide for a second and her face became flushed. But instead of tossing the siren off of her or shaking her awake, she quietly puts a arm under Sonata's legs and another under her back. Carefully picking her up and taking her out of the bedroom and to the living room of the hotel room.
She sits in a swinging chair by the window and sets the blue siren in her lap, an arm on her back and the other on top of her legs. She couldn't believe she was doing this, hopefully neither Adagio nor Sonata would find out about her going soft like this.
She starts to gently rock back and forth as Sonata deeply leans into the purple siren and puts her left hand on Aria's right shoulder, smiling and nuzzling Aria in her sleep.
Aria tried to ignore the heat in her cheeks as she quietly sings a lullaby that she heard Centuries ago to the cute blue Siren in her lap,
"Lullaby and good night, with roses bedight
With lilies o'er spread is baby's wee bed
Lay thee down now and rest, may thy slumber be blessed
Lay thee down now and rest, may thy slumber be blessed"
Sonata continued to softly snore as she smiled brightly and clings to Aria as if she really was Sonata's mother. Aria started to sing the second verse as a smile formed on her face,
"Lullaby and good night, thy mother's delight
Bright angels beside my darling abide
They will guard thee at rest, thou shalt wake on my breast
They will guard thee at rest, thou shalt wake on my breast"
As Aria finished the second verse, she herself started to feel tired. Letting out a yawn, she was about to get up when Sonata mumbled out, "A few more minutes mommy..."
Aria couldn't help but comply as she instead sat there with Sonata in her lap still. The blue siren snuggling her like she was a real life teddy bear. Aria didn't know why she did it, but she leaned down and kissed Sonata's forehead and leaned back on the chair.
She started to close her eyes as she felt Sonata snuggle tightly and closely to her chest. A smile formed on Aria's lips as she let the warm embrace help her fall asleep.
