Immortality Doesn't Last Forever - Chapter One

Twilight was sitting in her library late at night. She had finished most of her work and was relaxing with a new book and some hot tea. She sipped gingerly, as it was still hot. Spike had been asleep for around an hour or so and Owlicious was out hunting, leaving Twilight to her own devices. She set down her book, careful to place her bookmark so it covered the lines she had already read. The Princess of Friendship held her cup and saucer close. I wonder what the Princess' have planned for me. Will I rule over my own kingdom? If so, which one? Maybe I'll be something like a dignitary, or perhaps an adviser? Is that why she first wanted me to study friendship? So she could make decisions with a better understanding of the emotional consequences? What about- The sound of a loud crash and breaking glass gypped her remaining thoughts. Twilight quickly cast a spell of cloaking. She crept upstairs silently, using a spell of soft-step. Scanning the room, not seeing anypony, Twilight relinquished her magic.  Twilight walked over to the broken window, magically repairing it. She stared outside for a moment, looking for some 2-bit punk to be running (or flying) away.

Suddenly something froze her body, lifted her up and over to her bed, and splayed her out. Her mouth was sealed by the same magic that held her down. A unicorn wearing a black cloak stepped out of the shadows. Twilight's mind was reeling. How did I NOT notice him?! The unicorn spoke in a slow, heavy, masculine voice that was slightly hypnotic. "Good evening, Miss Sparkle. I am sorry to have come at such an inconvenient time. You seemed to be enjoying yourself." He teleported directly above Twilight.

"Now, this is going to hurt, but it's not that bad." The trapped pony noticed the fangs protruding from his twisted smile. Her heart-beat quickened. The vampony lowered his head to her neck, merely breathing for a moment. His warm, moist breath awoke a strange and rare emotion in Twilight: arousal. She was terrified, yet...she wanted him. He slowly slid his fangs into her neck, beginning to drink from a vein near her jugular. His victim could only attempt to relax as waves of pain and pleasure flooded from her neck. After only a few seconds and a few sips the mysterious vampony pulled his fangs out of her neck, blood dripping onto her face. "I will not kill you Princess Twilight, though your blood is delectable. You assisted my mortal self many, many years ago. We were only young teenagers back then. I suppose all things change, given enough time. Goodbye, Twilight." As he teleported away, he relinquished his magical hold on Twilight, and healed her dribbling wound. She laid there for a moment, her body and mind exhausted from the ordeal. Sleep overcame her quite easily, Twilight unable to will herself awake.
