"You know this isn't the way, right?" I think this was the only time I've ever heard a voice. Or...it felt like it. I don't remember another one.
"I know damn well that it's not." A second voice. I'll call this one Second.
"Then why?..." I guess this one is First then.
"..."
The sound of typing filled my sense of hearing.
"Well?" That came from the First. They sounded kinda worried. I wonder what it's about. Maybe they need help?
The typing came to a pause; Immediately silence dominated the room. Though I couldn't see anything; I could feel the tension thick in the air.
"It's not too late. We can still-"
"No! What's done is done. If I'm going to die, it will be in pride. I won't grovel before their feet. I refuse to beg. I am a proud scientist."
That was Second, who snapped. Who I guess is a proud scientist. Gee, who would have known? I wonder how smart he is...
"They're ponies... They're likely not going to kill us. Maybe some dungeon time..." Sorry First, but that still sounds kind of bad.
"You're right. But the answer... is still no."
"Boss..." Guess he's the boss around here.
"The project is finished, but it's need to be hid. They'll be in the building any minute." Project?
"Where can you hide it? No matter where you put it, they'll find it."
"Besides trying to resist arrest- What do you think I'm doing?" Getting yourself in more trouble maybe?
"You don't mean?..."
"It's going to where no one will know to look."
"Sir! That's-"
"You know...you're too late. Right?" A mysterious third voice. I guess I'll name him Third.
"-A dying stallion should know his place. Even when you're like this..."
A weak chuckle resounded throughout the place, where ever this place was. It came from the third voice. What in the world was going on?
"M'not gonna die that easily..."
"Save your breath. You'll need it if you're going to make it in enough time for them to arrest us and get you stabilized enough to take to the stockades. Don't die on us."
"While he's blunt and angry about it, he's right. Save your strength."
"..."
Click.
A sudden loud tap of a button and suddenly my world knew nothing.
"This tale begins with another's end."

"Ugh..." I felt groggy. Opening my eyes, I found myself laying in my bed. I pushed the covers off of me and sat up. Stretching, I lift my hooves into the air. What a strange dream. Though, I do wonder what those ponies were talking about. Usually I can't remember my dreams. I don't think they were all ponies though. So what could they be?
Deciding to dwell on it on a later time, I shook my head to get the sleep away. I gave a smile and hopped out of my super comfortable bed. Weaving around the messy room; I stopped at my mirror sitting on the dresser. It was a gold dragon portrait frame complete with cosmetic glowing red eyes. It had every last detail in it down to the scales. Pretty cool, huh? I made it myself. I don't mean to toot my on horn or anything, but I always was good at crafting. I gazed into the mirror. The figure in the mirror gazed back at me. I gave a very pearly grin at the mirror, winking my left purple colored eye at it.
"I'm looking good today!" Indeed most of my friends even told me I could easily pass off as a mare. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.
"Eclipse! Are you up yet?" Oh! I know that voice. Walking to my window, I gazed outside. I opened the window. The sun was pretty today. Just below the horizon. Oh, sunset? I must have slept in all day... "Stop daydreaming! You've been dreaming enough today to last you for the next two days!" Glancing down; I looked upon all three of my friends.
Okay! So first off there was the one screaming her head off and nagging me to wake up. That's my friend Crystal! She's super nice, but she can be awfully annoying at times. We've been friends for a very long time now. She's pretty, has bright ruby eyes and an long all silver mane. Her coat was a nice shade of white. It was bordering a yellow color. There's a name for it, I just can't remember. Or maybe I never knew. She's an Earth Pony. She also has a nice curvy figure- I just thought I'd add that. Her cutie mark is a giant red crystal.
"There he goes again. Narrating in that wacky brain of his. Hey! Wake up when we're talking to you, Eclipse!"
That's the loud mouth of our group. His name is Dreamer. 'D' for short though. We've been friends as long as I can remember. I know he means well, but he sure knows how to tick me off sometimes. He had a spiked black mane. He also had a rust red coat with brown eyes. His body was pretty toned. He's a Pegasus. For a side note, he's not dumb at all. Just headstrong. His cutie mark is a bright looking cloud.
"I'd probably be day dreaming too if I spent my whole day sleeping..."
And that's the quiet mare of our group. She sometimes puts forth what she wants to say, but she doesn't usually say anything. Her name is Hushed. So, I guess it fits her. Pony names are strange like that. I'll get back on those thoughts another day. Hushed was actually Crystal's sister. She had bright red ruby eyes and a silver mane. Difference is her coat was black. She was a Pegasus. Though covered by the familiar looking coat today; Her cutie mark was a gleaming knife. That was a little scary if you ask me. She said it was for culinary though.
"Sorry guys! I'm a little out of it today. I've been having these weird dreams lately." I apologized to my best friends. I knew they were a little upset though.
"Whatever, just come down already! There's supposed to be a meteor shower today! We're gonna watch it together, remember?"
