Celestia's Sweet
Chapter 3
Previous ChapterBon-Bon, Celestia, and Sweetheart all sat at the kitchen table in Sweetheart's home. Sweetheart looked very similar to her daughter. She had a full pink mane, almost exactly the same as her daughter's, and a vanilla coat. Her cutie mark was a chocolate in the shape of a heart. Celestia did not notice any of this, she was too busy eating donuts while the other two mares talked.
"So, Bon-Bon, dear..." Sweetheart said. "How long have you and the princess been engaged?" Bon-Bon had filled her mother in on the very basics. She had told Sweetheart that she was to marry the princess later in the day.
Bon-Bon gave her mother a glare. "About three hours." she said. Seriously? She doesn't notice anything wrong with this?
"Well, when did you and Lyra break-up?" Sweetheart asked, oblivious.
"About an hour ago." Bon-Bon said, giving her mother a deadpan stare. "What do you think about all this, mother?" Please take a hint.
"I think it's wonderful!" Her mother exclaimed happily. Of course not... "You know, your highness," Sweetheart said to Celestia, "I believe that I have just what you need."
Oh no... Bon-Bon wanted to bash her head into the table. Her mother was going to have them eat those chocolates.
"You see, princess, I have these chocolates that I make, I think that if you eat them with somepony you love you will be together forever. I actually got my cutie mark making them for Bon-Bon's father." Sweetheart explained.
"That sounds wonderful!" Celestia exclaimed. Obviously unaware of Bon-Bon's discomfort. "Could Bon-Bon and I have some?" she asked.
Sweetheart smiled and nodded before trotting out of the room into her main shop. "Yes, mother's superstitious sweets, how wonderful." Bon-Bon said, in a deadpan voice. "Now our marriage will be official."
"You really think so?" Celestia asked excitedly. She smiled, a tear running down her face. "You don't know how much that means to me."
Bon-Bon sighed, she could not ruin this moment for the princess... even if she was out of her mind. "Yes, I really do." she lied. "I can't wait." for you to fall asleep again...
Sweetheart returned to the room carrying a box of heart shaped chocolates, the same chocolate that made up her heart shaped cutie mark. "Here we are, Sweetheart's Sweets Specialty, the love hearts." she announced.
Bon-Bon sighed again, ignored by the other two mares. "Yes, mother we know." Sweetheart frowned slightly but ignored her daughter once again.
"You really think we'll be together forever?" Celestia asked.
"Yes, I do." Sweetheart said. Bon-Bon hoped to prove her wrong soon. Celestia opened the box of chocolates and stared inside.
"You should eat them." Bon-Bon said. She was hoping maybe her mom was smarter than she thought and had thought to put some sleeping pills in the chocolate.
"No, I think you should have the first one dear." Celestia said with a warm smile. She levitated one of the chocolates from the box towards Bon-Bon's mouth.
Bon-Bon shrugged to herself thinking why not? and ate the chocolate. The warm sweet taste filled her instantly, and despite herself she could not help but smile. It really was good.
"Would you like to stay the night here?" Sweetheart asked the couple. "I would like one more night with my daughter before she gets married."
Celestia seemed to think the matter over. "Well, I'm sure my little sister would be willing to postpone the wedding just one more day..." Celestia smiled and nodded. "Yes we would love to."
Bon-Bon had to stop herself from jumping with joy. One more night to escape before the doomsday that was her marriage. "I think that's a great idea mother." Bon-Bon smiled.
"Would it bother you too much if took a moment to tell Princess Luna to postpone the wedding?" Celestia asked Bon-Bon.
Oh this was almost too much to hope for. Now she was wanting to leave Bon-Bon alone, without her supervision. Bon-Bon smiled widely. "Of course not, dear." Bon-Bon said as sweetly and genuinely as she could manage. "Take your time."
Celestia smiled before flaring up her horn. Then she began to speak into the air, "Dear sister, could you hold off on the wedding for one more day? Yes, I think you should lower the moon until night... Yes, you can still raise it for the ceremony tomorrow." Bon-Bon felt her heart drop. Princess Celestia was not leaving... she had some kind of telekinetic spell to hold conversations with her sister. "Oh, and would you go to the dress shop, make sure my dress and Bon-Bon's are ready tomorrow?... Yes I think you should pay for the wall while you are there... okay I got to go... yes I am meeting my soon-to-be mother in-law... you too... bye."
The magic around Celestia's horn dissipated. Bon-Bon sighed inwardly, but she was still hopeful she could escape after the princess fell asleep. Princess Celestia smiled as she pulled another chocolate from the box and ate it.
"These are amazing." Celestia said. "Bon-Bon must get her skill from you." Bon-Bon blinked. Has Celestia ever even had my sweets? She asked herself.
Then Sweetheart gasped loudly. "I know, why don't I go get Bon-Bon's foal pictures?"
Bon-Bon groaned... at least she only had to survive the embarrassing stories until they went to bed.
Six hours of embarrassing stories later, Bon-Bon had finally gone to bed. Sweetheart had insisted they share the room Bon-Bon used to live in. That would make escape more difficult, but not impossible.
They entered the room and Celestia laid down on the bed. She smiled at Bon-Bon while waving her over with one hoof. Bon-Bon suppressed a groan as she sat on the edge of the bed.
"Are you alright, dear?" Celestia asked. "If you're uncomfortable, I could always sleep in the floor."
Bon-Bon was shocked that the princess would sleep on the floor just for her sake. She looked at the dusty, hard wooden floor and sighed... even if she was out of her mind, she would not ask the princess to do that. "No, that's alright... I'm just ready to sleep." Bon-Bon said.
She laid down next to the princess, and jumped slightly when she felt a large white wing fall over her. "Is that okay?" Celestia asked, nervously. The princess was nervous? Bon-Bon had a rough time wrapping her head around it.
Bon-Bon examined the wing, it would be much more difficult to escape unnoticed with it over her, but she also looked at the princess. Celestia was nervous about getting rejected, her eyes were full of hope, and the wing was extremely soft. Bon-Bon took a deep breath, "That's perfectly fine, dear." she said warmly.
Celestia smiled and pulled herself closer to Bon-Bon, "Thank you." she said before nuzzling her head against Bon-Bon's. Bon-Bon sighed quietly and allowed herself a minute to relax. Surely the princess would fall asleep soon, then she would be able to escape.
But do you really want to hurt her? Bon-Bon asked herself. She was shocked by the rogue thought. Yes I do. she argued with herself. Why? Has she been anything but kind since this all started?
Maybe not, but she never asked if this was what I wanted.
But she did ask. Lyra just answered for you. Besides marrying a princess won't be so bad, maybe you'll enjoy it.
No, I'm escaping just as soon as she falls asleep. Bon-Bon looked to find the princess staring at her. She smiled politely back before staring at the ceiling.
She was going to escape soon, just as soon as Princess Celestia fell asleep.
