"Wut, Sweetie Belle?" asked Apple Bloom, clearly bored. She was sitting inside the Cutie Mark Crusader's treehouse, playing Go Fish with Scootaloo, who by the looks of it, was bored as well, on the cold winter day. "Rarity gave me the cookbook she didn't want for Christmas!" she practically screamed in poor Apple Bloom and Scootaloo's faces. "Eh.. Cookbooks are for eggheads" said Scootaloo, running her hand through her soft hair. "Yer only syain' that, because it's Rainbow Dash's favorite thing ta' say ta' Twilight" retorted Apple Bloom. Sweetie Belle looked sad for a second at Scootaloo's comment, but instantly brightened up again. "Since we're so bored, we should make cookies!" she squeaked again. Scootaloo looked at her like she had grown a second head. " Bake cookies?" she asked, spitting out the word 'bake'. Apple Bloom scratched the back of her head. "Ah don't know, Sweetie Belle. Maybe we can bring over Babs ta' help. She's over at Twilight's library" she murmured. Sweetie Belle looked disappointed. "But I thought it should be only us three! The originals!" she argued. "The originals, huh?" asked Scootaloo, brushing some imaginary dust off of her red turtle-neck sweater.   "Ah dunno, Sweetie. Ah've never been great at bakin' cookies before" confessed Apple Bloom. "That's okay! They don't have to be perfect!" said Sweetie Belle, trying to persuade her friends. "To sell them, they do" commented Scootaloo fixing her amber gaze on Sweetie. "But we ain't gon' sell 'em, Scootaloo" growled Apple Bloom sharply, causing tension between the two. Sweetie Belle twitched nervously. "We could sell them for a bit if they turn out okay" suggested Sweetie, trying to crack the ice between Apple Bloom and Scootaloo. "A bit? How big are these things gonna be?" wondered Scootaloo out loud. "They'll be small! About the size of an Oreo" promised Sweetie Belle. Apple Bloom looked unconvinced. "One bit for one cookie? That may be too pricey for 'dem folks out there" she added. "It's worth a shot, isn't it?" asked Sweetie Belle, pleading her with her eyes. Scootaloo sighed. "Fine! I'll make these dumb egg-head cookies. For the money" she said, rolling her eyes. "Yay!...Apple Bloom?" asked Sweetie, turning back to Apple Bloom. "Oh alright! But don't be too bummed out when I mess everything up" she grumbled, getting up. Sweetie Belle grinned and adjusted her green scarf. "Great! Let's go get Babs from Twilight's library" "Yeah, Babs is pretty good at these things" sighed Scootaloo, putting on her own scarf, and making sure her boot laces were tied. Apple Bloom nodded in agreement, and slipped on a pink turtle-neck sweater. She waited for Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo before opening the frail door and making them vulnerable to the freezing terrain outside                                                                                           ~~~ "Remind me why we're doing this again" grumbled Scootaloo, stepping into Apple Bloom's house. "We wanna make money and have fun, right?" asked Babs in her Manhattan accent. "I guesso" muttered Scootaloo closing the door after the four friends. "Cheer up, Scoots! It'll be fun! Trust me on this one" sqeaked Sweetie Belle, removing her scarf and hanging it on a hook near the door. "Yeah. You're not too old for this stuff" scoffed Apple Bloom, taking off her sweater showing off her newly-bought yellow T-shirt. "What're y'all up to?" Asked Applejack wearily as she walked in with Big Macintosh. "We're baking cookies!" replied Sweetie Belle promptly. "Cookies? Y'all dun know how ta' make cookies!" sputtered Applejack. "Eeyup" agreed Big Mac, crossing his arms. "Don't worry, we've got it all covered. I know how to bake, and Sweetie Belle has a cookbook that Rarity gave her" said Babs casually. Applejack sighed. "Don't y'all go makin' a big mess, ya' hear?" she asked glumly. "Yes Applejack!" said Scootaloo, sounding irritated as she slipped off her boots and set them neatly next to each other on the hard, wooden floor. "A'ight, me n' Big Mac ar' tryin' to solve crossword puzzles, so don't be too loud" she said over her shoulder, heading back into the living room. "Eeyup" added Big Mac as he trailed after Applejack. "So we gotta be quiet and not make a big mess" Said Babs in a short summary, heading to the kitchen. "That takes all the fun out of it!" Wailed Scootaloo. "Ssshhhh!" Yelled Apple Bloom following Babs. "Whatever" Scootaloo rolled her eyes and reluctantly trotted to the kitchen. "Wait up guys! I have the cookbook, remember?" She asked as she scampered after the three of them. Babs and Apple Bloom already had small aprons on. Apple Bloom's said: Apple of my eye and Bab's said: An apple a day, keeps the doctor away. Scootaloo was on a chair looking bored.
