A King Awakened

              Was a rough day for Twilight Sparkle, (now an alicorn princess). She had just finished helping Pinkie Pie out with a surprise party idea for Applebloom. She was just about to walk into her library, when a familiar purple green dragon ran up to her, breathing heavily after he ran from Applejacks barn, a worried and exhausted expression on his.

       "Spike! What's wrong with you? You look like you had a party all day," still trying to shake off Pinkies party idea.

       "The....(pant)Princess....(pant)wants to....(pant)see....(pant)(pant)you.

        "What?!?! What does she want to see me for?!"

         She didn't get a response as spike,clearly exhausted,collapsed in the dirt. Twilight picked up and carried spike inside, trying to think why the princess wanted to see her. Soon after she set spike down, he belched green fire, surprising Twilight,as a note fell to the ground,clearly from the princess she thought. When she levitated the note open and held it in front of her,her eyes widened as she read.

          "Dear Twilight,

An emergency has come up and I need you to get the Elements of Harmony and come as quick as you can to Canterlot. Tirek has escaped and is coming for revenge, and will not be easily tricked last time. He will be after the Alicorn magic and will try to destroy the Elements before we can banish him again. Please come as quick as you can to discuss how do destroy him once and for all."

           When she finished reading,she couldn't believe what the princess wrote. Without a second thought, she bolted out the door, quickly trying to get to her friends.

Canterlot

           On their way to meet the princess, Rainbow Dash was still talking on why they had to go.

           "Why do we have to come all the way to Canterlot again?" said RD.

           "Because surgarcube, Celestia obviously wants to see us, so it's gotta to be very important." said AJ.

           "She's right darling. It must be important for all of us to see her at such time." pointed Rarity, who's hair looks like she just woke up.

           "But WHY! I mean, what's SO important that she wants to see us? Is it like another changeling attack?" said RD.

           "It's probably that she wants to tell us that somepony got away!" noted Pinkie, who's hair is slightly less puffy than usual.

           "That is rediculous Pinkie! Even if what you said was true, who would it be?"

           Then Twilight lost her cool."IT'S BECAUSE TIREK ESCAPED AND IS OUT FOR REVENGE!!!!!"

           "WHAT!!!!" said all four mares.

           "I KNEW IT!!!" Exclaimed Pinkie Pie.

           Twilight gave a deep sigh and started to explain.

FEW MINUTES LATER

            By the time they reached Celestia's quarters, Twilight finished explaining what had happened.

            "So that's why spike left in such a hurry." said AJ, giving a sigh of relief.

            "Um...Is spike going to be ok?" Flutter shy said, quiet throughout the whole walk.

            "Yeah, he'll be fine. Just exhausted is all."

            "I hope that spikey wickey gets better soon." said Rarity.

             Celestia was waiting for them in front of a large oval shaped table.

             "Great to see you all got here quickly. We need to discuss something rather VERY important."

On the edge of the everfree forest

              Tirek had finally escaped and can't wait to get his hands on the Alicorn magic again."I hope this doesn't happen like the last time I did this."he thought to himself." But before I can take their magic, I need to build up  some strength first. Then, I need to destroy those BLASTED ELEMENTS OF HARMONY!!!"In rage, he grabbed a boulder, and chucked it at some animals, making them scatter. Though he liked that, he had more important things to do than make animals run in fear. Right now, he had some unfinished business to take care of.

Back in Canterlot

                The discussion was over. They had a plan, and all they had to do was wait for Tirek to show up. While Celestia was lowering the sun and Luna raising the moon, Twilight had one thought on her mind, just how did Tirek escape, and was he here or somewhere else? Her thought was interrupted when Celestia came up next to her. A small smile on her face.

             "Hello princess."

             "Hello Twilight."

             "Celestia, can I ask you something?"

             "Sure, anything. What did you have in mind?" She sat next to her student, listening to what she had to say.

             Twilight cleared her throat, then she began.

             "It's about Tirek. Just how did he escape? I'm just curious on how he got back. Do you know how?"

             Given some time to think her question over, Celestia had what her student was asking.

             "It could be possible that he might have taken the magic from the guards and escaped. Either that, or someone helped him."

             "What?! Who could have helped Tirek? There's no way the guards could have anypony get close to him."

"It couldn't have been Discord, he's at Fluttershy cabin. So that leaves with........"

              Just then, a royal guard came in scared and terrified.

             "Your majesties. I'm afraid I have some very bad news!"

             "We're listening." The Princesses said saimotaniously.

             It took a while for the guard to clear his throat, and when he did, he just blurted it out.

             "Tirekhasbeenspottedatthecastlegates!"

             "Wowo! Slow down! Can you say that again, slower?"

             "Tirek has been spotted at the castle gates!"
