Twilight Sparkle finds herself in a black void with no idea of where she is or how she got there. There is nothing except the darkness and the isolation. As she ponders if she has died or is being manipulated in some way, a strange and unrecognizable voice reaches her ears. Will this voice provide her with the answers she is seeking, or is it something intending to do her harm? And why does she seem to grow more cold when the voice gets closer?
