Chapter 1-Ten or Hundred Years Gone

Two ponies are strolling together in a tree-like castle discussing the possible retrofit for the structure. Both of these ponies were very important to Equestrian society, but not like Princess Celestia or Luna themselves.

“Are you sure this would fit the castle?” One of the ponies have purple fur, a purple with indigo-striped mane and purple eyes. The most striking appearance of this particular pony was that she has both a horn and pegasi wings; the familiar structure of an Alicorn. However, she doesn’t have any authority for the moment.

“Why yes darling, it would the castle perfectly.” The other pony have white fur as pure as snow, a dark blue mane which fashioned into the extreme, and light blue eyes. She is the friend of the purple Alicorn.

“I don’t know Rarity. I have a bad feeling about this.” The Alicorn said.

“Don’t fret, Twilight my dear. I’m sure nothing is going to happen big in here.” Rarity said. Twilight just sighed.

“I know nothing big is going to happen, but the design of this would mean that the castle will be a big treasure trove for thieves.” Looking into the design, Rarity could see the reason why Twilight was so worried. With many gems dotting the interior of the castle like crazy, bad ponies would seize an opportunity to grab as many of those precious crystallized stones.

“Well, I guess your right then Twilight. Maybe I would get another design for the castle then?” Rarity could see Twilight barely smile, but it was still a smile nonetheless.

“Sure Rarity, you could.” With a smile, the white unicorn waved goodbye to her friend and trotted back towards Carousel Boutique. Twilight, on the other hand, trotted towards her personal bedroom which was in the top floor of the castle.

‘Why does it have to be upstairs?’ The Alicorn shook her head in amusement as she began climbing the tall castle stairway. When she reached the top, her bedroom door was in front of her. She opened the door and could see her bedroom is actually….plain to be exact. A simple king-sized bed and half-filled bookshelf only filled quarter of the bedroom space. But Twilight didn’t mind. It reminded her of her old home, the Golden Oaks Library. But she still feels a little bit sad for losing that incredible home.

‘It’s hard to remove it in my head. However the past is the past. I must keep forward than mourn for my dead ho-……why am I suddenly antagonizing my old home? What’s wrong with me today? As if my Alicorn heritage give me insanity.’ Twilight thought as she levitates a book out of the bookshelf. She’s going to have a nice, simple read without any interruptions at all.

Except, that was her plan in her head. Fate has other plans.

As soon as she reads the book, a swirling vortex of light appeared suddenly, and it began sucking up air into it. Twilight was just stunned.

‘What is this?! Did somepony is pulling a magical prank o-……wait…….am I being sucked into it?!’ Truth to be told, she is now slowly being sucking into it, and instincts began to kick in. Dropping the book, she tried desperately to fly away from the lighted vacuum, but to her horror, she being sucked into it even faster. She beat her wings like there’s no tomorrow, but the vortex was too much for the young Alicorn. Her hind legs were now in the vortex, and she knew the rest of her body is next.

Gathering all her strength, she yelled the only word she could muster before slipping completely into the vortex of light.

“HELP!” With that final cry, the vortex also disappeared, leaving only a dropped book as a clue.

Ten Years Later

Twilight’s Castle was now just a shadow of its formal glory. Its exterior walls didn’t change much, but the interior did. Dust and cobwebs litter the castle as if nature had reclaimed a part of its original territory. The interior coloring of the castle faded in the ten year span, although it still has some vibrant colors left in it in some areas, but all in all, the castle was utterly ignored to oblivion.

When the cry was heard, everypony-including the Princesses-rushed towards to help Twilight. However, when they got there, the ponies gathered there was utterly shocked to see the castle interior empty, except for a book in her bedroom. Presumed ponynapped, search parties were launched to get Twilight back. For four years they searched and searched in every part of Equestria, even the entire globe. But the same results kept going in: nothing.

With hope at an all time low, the ponies cancelled all search parties, leading to ten years today of anguish. Ponies all around Equestria visit the castle for educational and memorable purposes, ensuring Twilight’s disappearance-even death for some-was never in vain.

Ponyville was still on its usual routine, although on a much bleaker and greyish atmosphere. Most of the ponies here loose most of their bright and cheerful colors, but still maintains their usual gossips and fun.

However, nopony didn’t notice a faint light erupting in the Castle Bedroom.

Twilight P.O.V

‘Ugh….that hurt.’ I thought to myself as I shook my head to rid the dizzying effects of teleportation. It was rather…...I don’t have the proper words to say it but something among the lines of ‘unpleasant’ to say at least. I look to myself, and could see that I’m still an intact Hobbit. Still good I suppose.

I look around and could see a half-filled bedroom, which is just occupied by a rather large bed and a bookshelf. Wait a minute………………..Am I in my castle bedroom? I look around more closely and could the crystalline walls of the castle, which would confirm my suspicions. But to truly confirm my suspicions, I look at the window in my bedroom and I could see the beautiful landscape of Ponyville itself. My breath caught up in my throat as my suspicion is confirmed.

‘I’m back….’

As if my bullseye was hit by an arrow, I have mix emotions on this moment. I was happy I was back in my home soil, but I’m going to miss my friends since I was gone for about a hundred years or so-even though I made new friends also in Middle Earth which was nice. A sigh just escaped my lips. I guess I have to live my life without my friends.

I was about to get my sword Friendship off my belt when a newspaper hit my face. Well, that was just rude. Oh well, don’t blame nature, it’s her usual role. When I removed the newspaper off my face, I read the contents of it and I stopped at the bold headline on it:

“10TH ANNIVERSARY OF TWILIGHT’S DISAPPEARANCE!”

‘What?’
