Sweet Tale.
New filly
Load Full Story''Pound! Wake up quicker next time, I don't want my prefect attendance to drop!'' yelled Pumpkin at her brother as the pair ran down the dirt path to Ponyville Elementary School.
Pound rolled his eyes, he had heard this all before so he just muttered, ''Well, not all of us fillies want a prefect attendance ya know.''
Pound and Pumpkin had grown and were now 6 years old. Pumpkin had developed a love in cooking and magic whilst her brother had turned into a rebel, always wanting to skip school; much to Pumpkin's annoyance.
As for appearances, Pumpkin's long orange mane had grown quite a bit so the young filly often put it into pigtails with blue ribbons. As for her tail, there was a pink ribbon at the top and one at the bottom. She was a blank flank, not that she was all to bothered. She preferred getting her grades to lacking a mark.
As for Pound, he had only messed up his brown mane even more. Much like his sister, he was a blank flank not that he cared. He was too focused on flying to care. As for his flying, he was getting very fast and many believed that he may become faster then Rainbow Dash one day, which was what he dreamed.
''Well, I do. So buzz off.'' growled Pumpkin.
''Fine, feisty pants.'' grumbled Pound, as he flapped his wings. He flew above his unicorn sister, keeping a look out for the school house.
Soon, the red building that was the school house came into view. It was a scene of happiness. Foals were playing around in the backyard and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.
''Race ya, sis!'' Pound called out, before bolting off.
''Hey, no fair. You have wings!'' yelled Pumpkin, before stopping and thinking. ''Well, you wanna cheat. Well same goes here.''
Her horn became wrapped in a mystic blue glow. And with a flash, she was gone. She soon reappeared next to the red building and began grinning. Pound scowled, he hated it when his sister upstaged him with magic. The light brownish-cream pegasus landed and glared at his sister, who only giggled.
''Well, serves you right for trying to use flight to cheat.''
Pound pouted, and walked away. Pumpkin giggled, before chasing after him. She leaped into the air, and tumbled onto her pegasus brother only to end up rolling through the long grass, mucking up both of their coats. Both instead of whining, they just laughed. A quick tumble and they're friends again, it was stupid.
The school bell chimed, making the happy scene freeze. Mrs Cheerilee walked out with a bright smile lighting up her face. Pound and Pumpkin got up off the dirt, grassy ground and walked in. Pumpkin quickly and quietly used her magic to clean the pair of them from the dirt which covered them.
Pumpkin took her seat on the front row, in front of the teacher's desk whilst Pound took his seat, which was on the back row. They weren't too fussed on their seats, the only problem was the foal sat next to Pumpkin. The classy and up-to-date Shimmer Crown, Diamond Tiara's little sister. Shimmer believed she was the top of the class just because of her looks and appeal. Most of the colts had already fallen for her, with the exception being Pound.
Now, Shimmer was a white unicorn filly with a purple and pink twin colored mane, which was styled to perfection. Pumpkin had to admit that she was cute, but that didn't mean she liked her; in fact, a better word would be hate. Since day 1, Shimmer would torment Pumpkin for her blank flank and her straight A grades, which was why she hated being sat next to her.
She didn't have much more time to think, as Cheerilee walked in with something walking next to her. The mulberry earth pony walked to the center of the front of the row, before turning around. Next to her was a filly with Cheerilee's hoof resting on her little shoulder.
The filly was clearly an earth pony with a beautiful cream coat. Her mane was styled back into a bun, which was tied with a dark violet ribbon. Her mane color was a lavender, same goes for her eyes. Much like the twins, her flank was blank. However there was something up with her eyes, that non of the foals could put their hoof on. They were clear, very clear.
Pumpkin was the first to realize it. This filly was blind. She looked down sadly. The filly would never know what the world would look like, or what her parents look like. It was very sad to know.
''Good morning, class.'' called Cheerilee, interrupting Pumpkin's thoughts.
''Morning, Mrs Cheerilee.'' chorused the class in unison.
''We have a new student with us today, treat her warmly.'' said Cheerilee, with a smile before glancing down at the filly. ''Would you mind introducing yourself, sweetie.''
The filly blinked, despite being blind, before nodding nervously. ''...Um...H-hello...M-my...name is.... C-Cream...P-Puff....P-pleased...to meet you...''
Most of the foals clapped, though their was chatter going around the classroom about the filly's blindness and her blank flank. Ignoring the chatter, Pumpkin smiled and thought 'I wanna be friends with Cream.'
''Okay, class. Cream Puff is blind, but I would love you to treat her the same way you would like to be treated.'' said the teacher.
''Yes, Mrs Cheerilee.'' chorused the class, even though some didn't mean it.
Cheerilee smiled and turned back to the young earth pony. ''Now, Cream. Come along.''
The mulberry earth pony walked forward, making certain that her hooves made a sound so that Cream could follow. The young earth pony hestited for a moment before following the earth pony. Next to Pumpkin, there was a free seat, it was the last one of the 4 seat row. Cheerilee stopped by it, and smiled.
''Sit here.''
Cream nodded slowly, and took the seat, nervously. Pumpkin smiled, looking warmly at Cream before turning back to Cheerilee, who was beggining class.
''Now, students. Math time~'' said Cheerilee, in her sing-song voice.
