The Journal of a Firefighter
I just woke up and showered and Sunny already left to go to Town hall to get her own home. And i'm getting ready to go to the station.
Hopefully it all goes well.
I just arrived and Sunny is here and told me she got a smaller place then me but good for her.
There is no crew around here so i guess their on a call. Wait i hear something. It sounds like the roar of a firetruck. Wow that scared me. The garage door opened behind me and scared me to death. I'm going to put my Journal away for now. I'll write sometime later
I just met my crew. I recorded the conversation on this cassette tape.
Cassette tape 1
"Hey there." Said a orange Earth pony mare. as the others exited the truck. "You're our new members correct?."
"Yes." Said Joey. "My name is Joey Walters. And this is my Marefriend. Sunny Eclipse."
"Nice to meet you." Said a blue Unicorn Stallion. "I'm Captain Blue Shadow. I'm the captain of this crew."
"And this is my Second in command. Firetrap." Said Blue Shadow. as he pointed towards the orange earth pony. "And thats Match." Said Blue as he pointed over to a Brown Earth Stallion "And Thats Frankie." Blue pointed over at another brown Stallion But this time it was a Pegasus.
"And thats the current crew we have." Blue said "But just so you know. I prefer to go by Blue or Captain Blue." Said Blue.

I'm finally done with my first day heres what happened after we met the crew.
I liked that guy. He was cool. But not even 20 minutes after we met and talked. A call came through i remember the exact call out.
*TONE* ENGINE 1 ENGINE 2 RESCUE 1. RESPOND TO A SMALL HOME FIRE ON 305 EVERFREE ROAD. TIME IS 9:30.
I geared up and Blue asked me to take Sunny with me and take Engine 2 to the call. Firetrap And Match took Rescue 1 and Blue And Frankie took Engine 1. I grabbed the radio in engine 2 and radioed. "Dispatch Engine 2 responding to call over?."
"Copy Engine 2." Said the dispatcher. I turned on the lights and siren. And i drove towards the location. When we arrived i radioed. "Engine 2 on scene" It was a cottage that was burning.
Engine 1 and Rescue 1 was on scene.
"Any victims trapped?." I asked
"No The animals and Ponies inside got out okay." Replied Blue. I suddenly noticed Princess Twilight Sparkle was one of the victims inside. Due to match treating her for smoke inhalation.
"Jesus christ. The princess was in there?!." I asked.
"Yeah This is her friend Fluttershy's house. Now get some water on the fire." Replied Blue.
I ran back to the engine and opened the compartments with the equipment in them. I pulled out a hose and i hooked it to Engine 2's water tank next to the cottage.
I began attacking the fire.
It was about 20 minutes later We all had hoses on the house and Blue and Frankie were inside fighting the interior blaze. In no time we had it under control. Suddenly i heard coming from the radio
"Support beam coming down. We have to get this fire out or else the house is going to collapse." Said Blue over the radio. "Joey!. Match!. Get your asses in here. We have to get the interior fire out." Blue said
"Copy." Said Joey and Match at the same time.
I grabbed some breathing gear and ran into the cottage and began spraying any flames.
About 10 minutes later the fire was out. We walked out and the cottage's roof finally came crashing down.
Twilight came trotting over. I bowed and she began to speak
"I have to thank you kind sir. Because of you. The fire didn't spread to the forest." Said Twilight.
"No need to thank me Princess. I'm just doing my job." Joey said
That was something i always dreamed of saying
"I never seen you around before. Are you new to Ponyville?." Twilight asked
"Yes actually. Just graduated and moved here yesterday. My name is Joey." Said Joey
"Well you know who i am. But I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle. If you need anything i'm always at my castle." Said Twilight.
"Thank you Twilight. I guess i should be going." Said Joey.
"O.K Bye." Twilight Walked away and waved.
We returned to the station. It was around 11:30 And Blue came over to me and Sunny.
"Alright you two. Here is a pager. One for you Joey and One for you Sunny." Said Blue as he handed us the pagers. "There set for station 2. So if your at home and a call comes through you can come if you want." Blue said.
I ate some food in the station and then it was a slow day after that. It was around 3:30 Pm when my pager and the station went off
ENGINE 1 RESPOND TO A 47 YEAR OLD MARE HAVING DIFFICULTIES BREATHING. HOSPITAL ALREADY ON SCENE TIME IS 15:34.
Blue told us he and frankie would take care of it. And left us to do what we needed to. Me and Sunny went off duty to go on a date.
We went to this fancy restaurant and then went back to my place. Were going to "Do it" And have a good night together. Hopefully tomorrow will be a good day,
The Journal of a Firefighter
January 11th [Second Entry]
Graduation just finished. It wasn't all that fancy. It was just the head chief of the canterlot fire department telling us we should try our best and we did a good job in training. You would think there would be a more original speech out there but oh well.
I just read the list of where everyone is being stationed. My name was under. "Ponyville. Station 2." Sunny was also assigned there. My best friend Mack was also being assigned to Ponyville station 1. We were both going to get to see each other. I'm pretty excited. My train leaves canterlot in 30 minutes. So i better get going.
I just made it to Ponyville. I have my saddle bags full of my clothing and Money. I saved 500 bits for my own house. So i'm going to head to the town hall and find a home that i could buy. I'm very familiar with Ponyville since i had family that lived here.
I'm at the town hall. Waiting for the receptionist to finish looking for some homes available. Sunny is with me and were waiting around. Oh hey there motioning me over.
They found me a small home just a couple houses from where the golden oaks library was. Considering it was destroyed after tirek invaded.
They said for 450 bits But since i'm a firefighter i was getting a 100 bit discount. I asked if i could see it and she said "Sure." And took me and Sunny to the house. It was a small 2 Story house that could fit me and Sunny if we ever moved in together. Not sure if that would happen soon. Mostly because we've only known each other for 3 weeks. It had some nice looking wallpaper. I instantly loved it and the Seller told me they would throw in some starting furniture since i'm new to town and will be busy. I of course took the offer and bought this place. They left me a bed. A small tv. A nice couch. And of course the kitchen things and bathroom. Sunny asked if she could crash here since they said she could not get her own place til the morning. Town hall closed shortly after i paid for this. I let her have the bed and i'm going to sleep on the couch.. I'm not ready to sleep with another pony. I'll wait. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. Good night Journal.
