Apple Jack shouted to Rainbow Dash as she emptied a big raincloud all over the trees of Sweet Apple Acres. "No problem!" Rainbow Dash shouted back. She left the farm and was greeted by Scootaloo when she landed. "What's up, Scoots?" Rainbow Dash said. "You said we can practice more flying when you finished helping Apple Jack!" Scootaloo said excitedly. "I'm sorry, Scoots, but I'm exhausted." Rainbow said. "Maybe tomorrow?" "Yeah, I guess," Scootaloo said in disappointment. She turned and started running toward the direction of the Cutie Mark Crusaders' fort. Rainbow Dash went to the edge of the woods to get some shade. ********** -Further in the woods- The little Pikachu and Dedenne ran ahead of the rest of the group, eager to battle more Pokémon. Ash and his friends, Clement, Bonnie, and Serena followed. "Pikachu! Wait up," Ash said exhaustedly. "Dedenne! Wait for us!" Clement said. "Pika!!" Pikachu said. "De! Dedenne!" Dedenne said. "We all know you two like battling!" Serena said. "Hey! What's that over there?!" Ash said. ********** -Back at the edge of the woods- Rainbow Dash heard an unfamiliar, high-pitched echo coming from deeper in the woods. She looked around to see what it was. All of a sudden, she saw something yellow. It seemed to be moving. Rainbow moved slowly toward it. When she moved the last few branches out of the way, she found herself face-to-face with a small, yellow... What was it? She never saw anything like it in her life! And it couldn't be from Everfree Forest; it was too... Cute! "Pika!!" It said. "Over there!" Said a voice. It was followed by a group of three or four... Humans?! "Uh... Hello...?" Rainbow Dash said. "Wow! It can talk!" Said the little girl with blonde hair. "I've never seen a talking Pokémon except for that Meowth!" "What kind of Pokémon is it?" Said the boy in what looks like a light-blue jumpsuit and also has blonde hair and glasses. He took out a strange red and white object. "It doesn't seem to be... a normal Pokémon." "A Poke-What?" Rainbow said. "It must be a new species?" said the older girl wearing what looks like a pink fedora. "Whatever it is, I'm gonna catch it!" The boy with black hair and a red hat and blue jacket said. "Pikachu! Use Thunderbolt!" "Pikaaaa-CHUUUUUUUUUUU!!" The yellow creature said as it shot out a light bolt at Rainbow. The bolt hit Rainbow right under her left eye and she fell to the ground. She tried to get up, but she couldn't move. She was paralyzed! "Great job, Pikachu!" said the boy with the black hair and red hat. He took out a small, red and white ball. "Go! Poke Ball!" He threw it at Rainbow and all of a sudden, she was brought into darkness. Was she... No! She can't be! There's no way she can fit in a tiny ball! "HELP!" she tried to escape, but she was locked inside. "Somepony! Get me outta here!" ********** -Outside the ball- "Great job, Pikachu!" Ash said again. "Pika," Pikachu said. "I've never seen that kind of Pokémon before!" Serena said, excitedly. "I couldn't find it on the Poke-Dex," Clement said. "Is it a new species?" Bonnie said. "De!" Dedenne said. Ash went to the Poke Ball and picked it up. "Let's take it to Professor Sycamore; he'll know what it is." ********** -Up in a nearby tree- The two members of Team Rocket and their two Pokémon, Wobbuffet and Meowth, have been spying on Ash and the others the whole time they were there. "So, they've found a never-before-seen Pokemon," James said, still looking through his binoculars. "It is a new and extremely rare Pokémon?" Jesse said. "I don't know, but forget that Pikachu!" "That is now old news." "Let's steal the new one." "And it would be our own!" "Can you please take a break from the rhyming!? Sheesh!" the Meowth suddenly said. "You're right," James and Jesse both said. "Let's go!" "Waaahh-ba! Waaaah-baa!" their Wobbuffet said behind them. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2 Ash, Serena, Clement, and Bonnie entered the Pokémon Lab in Lumiose City, where they met with Professor Sycamore on the third floor. "Ah, look who it is," Professor Sycamore came up to them as they exited the elevator. "Hello, Professor," Ash said. "Pikachu!" Pikachu said. "Have you come to show me your Poke-Dex?" The professor said. "Actually, I've found what seems to be a new Pokémon," Ash said. "but we don't know what it is." "Can I see it?" "Okay." Ash took out the Poke Ball that contained the mystery Pokémon. "Come on out, Mystery Pokémon!" A white flash came out of the ball and formed the Rainbow Horse Pokémon. "Ugh! Finally! Fresh Air!" it said. "It can talk!" Professor Sycamore said. "I think it might belong to Team Rocket," Serena said. "How can it be when it came into the Poke Ball?" Clement said. "Good point." "Anyway," Ash said, "We came to you because we thought you might know what kind of Pokémon this is." The professor looked at the Pokémon for a long time. Then he finally said, "I think I've seen a Pokémon like this." "You have?" the four said. "Yes. I believe this Pokémon is called Rainbow Dash, and there are two moves that only this Pokémon can learn." "A Rainbow Dash!" Ash said. "This Pokémon is extremely rare. "Great you know my name now," Rainbow Dash said. "Can I go home now?" "What are the moves?!" Bonnie said. "The two moves, I believe, are Rainbow Beam and Sonic Rainboom," Professor Sycamore said. "I wonder how it battles," Clement said. "Battling?!" Rainbow said. "Excuse me, but if you'd listen, I'm not a Poke-what-ever-it's-called!" "Thank for the help, Professor!" Ash said. "C'mon guys, lets get some Lumiose Galettes!" ********** "There they are," James said when he saw the four Trainers exit the lab across the street. "I see the mystery Pokémon," Jesse said. "What's the plan?" "They seem to be heading towards the Lumiose Galette stand, so we disguise ourselves as the clerks and ask to take a closer look at the Pokémon. Then Meowth will weaken the Pikachu and, well, we take the Pokémon" "It's like all of your plans involve disguising yourselves," Meowth said. "Hurry, let's go! They're almost there!" James said. "Waaaahh-buffet!" Wobbuffet said. ********** The four Trainers reached the Galette stand on North Boulevard. "We'd like a dozen Lumiose Galettes, please," Ash said to the two clerks. For some reason, they seemed a bit suspicious. one had blue hair and the other had pink hair, and it was way out and made her head look like a pink shooting star. Were they....? "Here you go," the clerk with the blue hair said. "Wait, before you go!" He said. The four turned around and he seemed to be staring at Ash's Rainbow Dash. "I've never seen that kind of Pokémon before. Mind if I have a closer look?" "Pika?" Pikachu said in an unusual tone. "Uh, sure," Ash said. The clerk jumped over the counter and stared at Rainbow even more. "I sure would like a Pokémon like this," he said. He looked around as if waiting for something. "Uh, I said I sure would like a Pokémon like this!" He said a bit louder. They heard whispering behind the counter and all of a sudden, a Meowth jumped from behind. "Team Rocket!" Serena said. "Pika! PIKA!!" "Meowth! Use Scratch on that Pikachu!" James said. Their Meowth opened its paw and sharp claws appeared. It scratched Ash's Pikachu to weaken it. "NO!" They heard a loud cry as Jesse stuffed Rainbow Dash in what looked like a pillow case. "Froakie! Come out!" Ash said as he threw a Poke Ball in the air. When it came down, it wasn't a ball anymore; it was a blue Frog Pokémon. "Froakie!" It said. Clement and Serena threw out their Poke Balls. Clement's Poke Ball came down as a Chespin and Serena's was a Fennekin. "Ches! Chespin!" Clement's Chespin said. "Fen!" Serena's Fennekin said. "Go! Wobbuffet and Inkay!" Jesse and James said as they brought out Wobbuffet and Inkay. "Waaaaahh-buh!" "Inkay!" Inkay said "Froakie! Use Bubble Beam!" Ash said. His Froakie shot a forceful beam of bubbles right at Jesse's pillow case, freeing Rainbow Dash. "Inkay!" James said. "Use Shadow Ball!" Inkay created a large, purple ball and shot it at Serena's Fennekin. ********** The Pokémon battle went on for at least fifteen minutes. Ash's Froakie was low on its health, and so were Fennekin and Chespin. "Froakie! Return!" Ash said. He took out the Poke ball and Froakie went inside. "Rainbow Dash! Come out!" He threw the Poke Ball and Rainbow Dash came out. "Please! Just listen to-" Rainbow started, but was interrupted when Meowth hit her with Tackle. "Rainbow! Use Rainbow Beam!" Ash said. "Wait! What!?" Rainbow said. "How many times do I have to-" She was again interrupted when she suddenly created a large, rainbow ball. "Huh?" She shot it at the Inkay. Then, the Inkay fell to the ground and seemed to be motionless. "NO!" Jesse and James said at the same time. Jesse took out her Poke Ball and brought Inkay back in. "Great job, Rainbow Dash!" Ash said. "That's one down, two to go." "Meowth! Use Dark Pulse!" Jesse said. Meowth shot a midnight-purple-colored wave that hit all three of its opponents, and it Knocked Out Fennekin and Chespin. "Rainbow Dash! It's up to you now!" Ash said. "Use Sky Drop!" Rainbow grabbed both Wobbuffet and Meowth and flew up high with them. When she seemed to be high enough, she let go of the two opposing Pokémon. When she went back down, Wobbuffet was Knocked Out, but Meowth was still able to battle. "Meowth! Tackle 'em!" James said. Meowth jumped up and landed on Rainbow Dash and tackled her to the ground, causing her to feel a bit weaker. "Rainbow Dash! Finish them off with Sonic Rainboom!" Ash said. Rainbow flew up into the air real high. When she was high enough, she flew down real fast. After about five seconds, she made a loud explosion that could probably be heard from even the furthest region, and it was followed by a wave of colors. There was a rainbow trail behind Rainbow Dash, who flew fast toward Meowth and punched it real hard, Knocking Out the Meowth. Ash couldn't believe it, and neither could the others. That had to be the coolest move Ash had ever seen. When Rainbow Dash finally came down, Ash didn't know what to say. "That was..." Serena started, but she didn't seem able to finish. "You don't have to say it," Rainbow said." I already know." "Pika!" Pikachu said. "You may have won this battle!" James said. "And the last one. And the one before that. And maybe all the other ones before that. But you won't win the next one!" "In your dreams!" Ash said. "Pikachu! Thunderbolt them!" "Pikaaa-CHUUUUUUUU!" Pikachu said when it shot a lightning bolt at the two Team Rocket members, sending them flying into the air, like always. "We will catch that Rainbow Daaaaaaaaasshhh!!!!" They said at the same time. "Who are they?" Rainbow said. "And why did they try to kidnap me?" "They're Team Rocket," Ash said. "They don't seem to be after my Pikachu anymore." "Well, that answers my first question." "They seem to realize Pikachu isn't rare now and they're after you because you're extremely rare." "Aaannd...?" "And they think they could be famous if they get an extremely rare Pokémon." "What makes them think that?" Rainbow was confused. "We don't really know." Ash then turned to the others. "C'mon, let's get our Pokémon healed at the Pokémon Center." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3 Later that day, the Trainers hung out at Cyllage City, where they ate at the café and their Pokémon played outside. Rainbow Dash, though, was sitting at the beach, staring at the ocean. A gentle breeze blew her mane slightly. Pikachu noticed and went up to her. "Pika?" "Oh, hey Pikachu," Rainbow said with a depressed voice. "Pikachu," Pikachu said. "Listen, there's something I have to say." "Pika, Pi?" "I'm not really a Pokémon." "Pika, Pika!" "Wait, you knew?" Rainbow was surprised. "Pikachu!" "Why didn't you say anything?" "Pika." "Well, I may not be a Pokémon, but... I actually enjoy being one, despite those Team Robot-whatever people trying to kidnap me. But this isn't me. The real me is supposed to be back in my world hanging out with my best friends. I've been gone for so long, I bet my sister, my pet turtle, and all my friends are wondering what might've happened to me. Heck, they're probably even wondering if I'm still ALIVE! I need to find a way to return to they way I'm supposed to be." "Pikachu?" "You're right, I should tell them."
