Krampus is bored. most of the humans were dead. the only survivors were to stupid and irradiated to appreciate toys and coal. but something else was rising to power. colorful equines had raised from the radioactive waste that was once earth. naming the land equestria, they worshiped two immortal creatures. bird ponies with horns, or something. a couple thousand years later, and still nothing. BUT THEN… they made a small holiday: hearths warming eve. it wasn't much, but it opened the barriers between the North pole and equestria. and both of them were hungry.

"wait, what was that?"

long, long ago, far longer than even the princesses could remember, there were two brothers. one was born with silky hair, no freckles, and a smile that was illuminated by the stars. the other was tall, had hooves, wings and horns. despite their differences, their mother loved them very much, and named them Nicholas and Krampus, respectively. growing up, Nicholas was a kind thoughtful boy, with a penchant for finding the perfect gift for their friends. even for people he didn't like, he tried to be nice, and generous. Krampus on the other hand, was the complete opposite of Nicholas. he was mean and rude, and out right refused to go to school past the age of ten. he was bullied often, and one day, he locked one of the bullies in a pot, suffocating him to death. for that, he was thrown out of the town, into the unforgiving ice of the north. at age twenty, Nicholas had become a prominent member of the church, almost a candidate for the pope. one day, at age thirty, a rumor that Krampus had been seen near greenland surfaced. so, he put up his over-sized hat, said goodbye to all his friends, and chartered a boat to greenland.

a year later, and he found his way to the arctic. bringing with him only a bible and a burlap sack, he trekked out to find his brother. after two months of fruitless searching, he had found a cave. setting up to spend the night, the bottom broke through, and fell unconscious. he awoke in a room, being tended to by little people. a small search later, and he had found Krampus, leading the elves. a short, tear filled reunion later, and he had resigned himself to staying with his brother and the elves. 3 years passed, and he saw a elf child trying to get his father to buy him a toy bear in a shop window. without a second thought, he went in and bought him the toy.
