The region of Dust Valley, far to the south of Equestria, has always been a secluded region, surrounded by terrifying beasts and dragons. The moth-ponies of Dust Valley live in harmony with the dragons, who protect them from the dangerous wild-life, and the outside world.

But, a curious little moth-pony decides he wants to venture out into the world and see what else is out there.
