//-------------------------------------------------------// The Trixieverse I: The Grass is Always Greener -by TheSorcerersApprentice- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A Day In The Life //-------------------------------------------------------// A Day In The Life Trixie's Log Stardate: I don't care anymore. Once again Trixie I have been scourging for food to no avail. It's been a while since my last entry. I hope you haven't gotten lonely without me. You'd probably be the only one who has. I'm trying to build a new wagon but in case you didn't notice, I have no bits. My primary source of income is futile. Ponyville has taught me that entertainment is a job you might want to avoid. Is there really any point. I mean really. This will most likely be the last log. If anybody picks you up, the ghost of Trixie Lulamoon will haunt them for eternity! Seriously, I will be keeping a eye on you and your next owner. Goodbye log. Thanks for being such a good friend.            Trixie closed her book and threw it in the trash off-road of the trail she was walking on. It was somewhere around midnight and Luna's light was shining down on the path. It was as quiet as a meadow. Trixie honestly didn't know where she was. Judging by the trees around her it was a forest. She had been walking for months traveling to wherever she ended up going. She then looked back at the trash can. Trixie felt like she shouldn't have thrown it and walked back to take a look at it. She noticed something below her "log". It was a newspaper. Something she hadn't seen since that disturbing article about her. Trixie then was intrigued and failed to see the harm in reading it. EXTRA EXTRA! Princess Twilight Sparkle Defeats Giant, Rampaging, Magic-stealing Monster            "Must've missed that one." Trixie said throwing the paper back in the garbage. "I could've easily been like her. If I wasn't so stupid!" Trixie thought. "I...could've...I wish...maybe...I could start over. Just do things over from the start. Make a better life for myself." Trixie said to herself. "Why am I even saying this aloud!!" Trixie shouted, echoing throughout the area. She slowly sat down on the path she was on and began to cry.             Suddenly a ray of light shown down on Trixie. When she finally opened her eyes from crying, she saw a white allicorn flying above her. It was none other than Princess Celestia.             "'Don't have the Triple Hay Burger' he said. 'It'll go straight to your stomach' he said." Trixie said in disbelief.             "I fail to see how hay burgers relate to the current events." Celestia chuckled.              "It just...you're not real! You're a figment of my whiny conscience telling me not to eat Triple Hay Burgers. So thanks Whiny Conscience! Next time I'll order a regular. Now begone!" Trixie said waving her upper hooves at Celestia.              "I'm afraid I'm not your "Whiny Conscience"." Celestia said still smiling.              "Oh yeah? Then why are you, Princess of the Sun, talking to the most pathetic pony in Equestria...no, talking to the most pathetic pony in all times. Don't you have things to do?" Trixie questioned.               "First of all, my shift is over Luna takes over from here. Secondly, aren't you the one formerly known as 'The Great and Powerful Trixie'?" Celestia asked teasingly.               "I...don't...do...that anymore." Trixie said angrily. "And why am I still talking to a figment of my imagination?" Trixie then began to pinch herself repeatedly. Celestia still watched her patiently. "Why...ow...isn't...ow...this...ow...working?" Trixie said, still pinching herself.                "How are you even pinching yourself?" Celestia said.                "Don't ask." Trixie replied.                "Hmm...well how about a prove my existence by granting your wish?" Celestia said.                "Wish? Huh? When did I make a wish?" Trixie asked as she stopped pinching herself.                 "You said you wanted to make a better life. Well I'm about to give you a better life." Celestia said tenderly.                 "You...give me a better life? You can solve all my life problems just like that?" Trixie asked.                  "It appears so."  Celestia said energizing her horn.                   "Ok...but I still don't believe you're real unless I see it with my own-" "-eyes..." Trixie said finishing her sentence. She found she was in a completely different room. Trixie was now officially convinced this was not a dream. More or less, she was frightened. Trixie took a look around the room and found it was a library of sorts. Something then caught her ears attention. It was a young boyish voice clearing his throat. Trixie turned around to find a baby dragon. Not just a baby dragon: Twilight Sparkle's baby dragon.  "I'm so so sorry! I honestly don't know how I got here! Is this Twilight's castle? Please don't roast me to a crisp! I promise I'll make it up to you for-" Trixie said on her knees. She was stopped by the bewildered baby dragon.        "Whoa! Trixie what's gotten into you? I won't roast you to a crisp. I'm just your friendly neighborhood dragon :Spike!  You know that! And who's Twilight?" Spike said.        "You mean...you don't know who Twilight Sparkle is?" Trixie asked.        "Mm...can't say that I have. So anyway Trixie, what do you want me to do first? I know you're itching to command me around like you always do!" Spike said with a smirk.        "So...this is my library?" Trixie asked looking around.        "Trixie? Did you get amnesia or something? You're Trixie Lulamoon! The princess's best student!" Spike said.        "Student...Me...Princess...wheels...always...watching...." Trixie said fainting. Spike immediately ran to to care for the unconscious mare.         "Trixie? You okay?" Spike asked. //-------------------------------------------------------// Friendship is...Magic? //-------------------------------------------------------// Friendship is...Magic?       "Trixie!? Trixie!?"       "I wasn't torturing wheel spies I swear!!!" Trixie shouted as she awoke. She found she was in the same library as before. With the same dragon as before...        "You just passed out! And then you started murmuring something about a 'wheel rebellion'." Spike said raising an eyebrow.         "Yes...well...it was just a bad dream." Trixie said embaressed. "So this is my library?"         "Sure is!" Spike said. Trixie wasn't sure what to say so she just winged it.         "I remember everything now!" Trixie said. She was a stage actor so pretending to be happy is something she had gotten used to.         "Great! So...um are you ready to send your letter?" Spike asked.          "What letter?" Trixie asked.          "The letter you were going to send to Princess Celestia. About Nightmare Moon returning. I thought you said you remembered everything." Spike said raising a brow.          "Yes...well everything but that!" Trixie said.          "Okay then." Spike said. He then proceeded to breathe his green fire onto the piece of parchment on the desk right side of Trixie. Trixie stared in awe as she saw the paper she had seen burst into flames. She wondered if this was something regular or not. Spike then suddenly looked as he was about to be sick. He then spouted out another piece of paper. "A reply this early?" Spike said as he passed the paper to Trixie to read. Dear Trixie, Have you figured it out yet? See you at the festival...or not. Sincerely, Princess Celestia P.S There is a backside.      Trixie looked at the paper and then to Spike. This process repeated several times until she finally believed what she was reading.     "I'm living Twilight's life! Everything is resetting! I'm altering time and space as we speak." Trixie said with shock as she dropped the letter.      "I haven't the slightest idea what you're talking about. Now come on! We'll miss the carriage!" Spike said.      "B-b-b-but. Time travel." Trixie said still awestruck. Spike then had to push the frozen Trixie all the way to the carriage pulled by two pegasi. Fortunately for Spike, Trixie came to about halfway through the ride to Ponyville.         "Oh! You're back! Are you feeling alright?" Spike said to Trixie as she rubbed her head in confusion.          "Yes. Never been better." Trixie said, obviously not meaning it.           "Good! Would you like your letter back? It sort of dropped when you froze." Spike said, handing the letter to Trixie.            "Yes, thanks. Looks like there's a backside to this thing." Trixie said examining the letter.            "That's funny. Princess Celestia doesn't usually put backsides on letters." Trixie found that on the backside of the letter, there was a list of instructions to guide her. It said: Obviously you are now confused as you have been jumped into this life all of a sudden. So here's a list of things you need to do. Go to Sweet Apple Acres Check the weather Check the decorations Check the music 5.Go to the residence I have set up for you in the biggest tree in Ponyville. You can't miss it!       "This helps. This helps a lot." Trixie said as she read the letter.        "We're here!" Spike announced. Trixie felt a bump as the pegasi landed on the ground. Spike then led Trixie out and tipped the pegasi.         "Ok! We need to head to someplace called 'Sweet Apple Acres'.          "It looks like it's over there." Spike said as he pointed towards the barn in the distance. Trixie nodded and walked with Spike to the barn. "It doesn't look that far anyways." "I underestimated the distance. This is far! This is very far! This is LeFar Burton." Trixie groaned.         "Who's LeFar Burton?" Spike groaned.          "Oh yeah...time travel."           "What was that?"           "Nothing!"            "Wait...we're here!" Spike said pointing to the barn.             "Thank Celestia!" Trixie said as she ran towards the barn. She was stopped by a orange pony with a cowpony hat.             "Whoa there! What's got you in a hurry?" The orange pony asked.             "Oh! Princess Celestia sent me here." Trixie said showing the orange pony her letter.              "Well then! I guess you came to the right place! Name's Applejack." Applejack said giving her hoof to shake. Trixie examined the hoof.              "Are you handing me an invisible gift? Because I don't see it." Trixie said confused.              "No silly! You shake it! Haven't you ever shook a pony's hoof before?"               "No. I'm afraid I've never had the...pleasure."                "Well here's your chance then!" Trixie was hesitant at first, but slowly but surely her hoof shook Applejack's. "There! Now what did you say your name was?"                 "It's The Gr-...oh that's right. I don't do that anymore." Trixie said as she stopped herself.                 "Do what?"                  "Well, see I used to be a stage performer until one day it got me in a dangerous situation."                   "Well why dont'cha go back! They'll be sure to appreciate some performing!"                    "That's the thing. They don't."                     "Aw! Well that's a darn shame! Anyways, Celestia said to check our apples for the celebration huh?"                     "That's what I'm assuming."                     "Well I assure ya that we have over a thousand apples in supply!"                      "Perfect! Well I should be going now."                       "Aren'tcha gonna stay for brunch?" Said a small, yellow filly with red hair and a bow on top.                       "Well, I'll tell you a secret. I'm a time traveler." Trixie whispered in the filly's ear.                       "No way! I want proof!" Trixie then gave the filly a receipt in her pocket. "That's five years from now! Wow! See you later Miss Trixie!" the filly ran away cheerfully with the receipt. Trixie then said her goodbyes and turned away from the little apple farm, unaware a hooded figure saw the whole thing. //-------------------------------------------------------// You Don't Exist Anymore //-------------------------------------------------------// You Don't Exist Anymore Ugh! Where am I? Last thing I remember was me helping Spike with something. Is there anypony there! Hello! Is that...a light? Better go check it out. Huh? I'm at Sweet Apple Acres. Looks like Applejack is...shaking hooves with Trixie?! What!? What's going on! I can't see. Help! Please! "What did you say Spike?" Trixie asked.         "Hm? I didn't say anything." Spike replied.         "It sounded like somepony was calling for help."          "You read too much fantasy books Trixie!"           "Funny though. It sounded real."            "Maybe it was her." Spike said as he pointed to a pink pony who was jumping around. "Why don't you go talk to her."             "I dunno. She seems very distracted by something."              "Can't hurt to ask."               "I guess." Trixie said as she walked over to the pink pony. "Hello. I was wondering if you said you needed help earlier." The pink pony gasped and she ran away as fast as she could. "Ow!" Trixie said as she got a sort of headache.                "Trixie? What is it! Did you get amnesia again?"                 "No. I'm fine. I just got a sort of déjà vu."                  "What's déjà vu?"                   "It's when you experience the same thing twice." Trixie said as she saw the pink pony bounce away. "Or meet somepony twice."                   "Have you ever met her before?"                   "I don't know. It was hard to see when..." Trixie then remembered where she had seen her before. It was where she saw Applejack before as well. "This is either really good or really bad."                    "You've been saying a lot of weird things today Trixie."                    "I could start over! Just like with Applejack! I didn't even know it! But I did it! Is this why Celestia brought me back in time? I don't care! I love this new life! Thank you Celestia!" Trixie yelled to the sky shortly before being doused by a unexpected rain cloud. "I am shutting up now. That reminds me, I have to check the weather." Trixie remembered. "Hey you!" Trixie shouted to a cyan pegasus who was napping on a cloud.                     "Who? Me?" the pegasus replied as she flew down.                      "Yes! Celestia sent me to check the weather for the celebration."                      "Oh yeah! I almost forgot!"                       "How can you forget your only job!" Trixie said annoyed.                        "Whoa! Settle down! I was just thinking about the awesome stunt I'm gonna show the Wonderbolts!"                        "Well ok. As long as you do your job."                         "Can do! Looking forward to hanging out with you more!" As soon as the pegasus said that she froze.                          "Spike? Do you know what's wrong with her? Spike!?" Trixie said as she saw Spike was frozen as well. "Did I do something wrong?"                           "Trixie! What are you doing here? And why is everything frozen?" A hooded figure said as she emerged from the shadows.                            "Who are you? Do I know you? You sound familiar." Trixie said as she examined the figure. The figure then took off its hood to reveal a lavender allicorn. "Twilight Sparkle?"                            "Trixie? Are we in a different timeline?" Twilight asked.                             "I guess so. Celestia told me she would grant my wish of making my life better so here I am!" Trixie answered.                              "Indeed I did." A soothing voice said from above. In a flash of light there stood Princess Celestia.                              "Princess Celestia? What are you doing here?" Twilight asked.                              "I was afraid this would happen." Princess Celestia said sadly.                               "Afraid of what?"                             "I've been keeping something from you. Both of you." Celestia said as she turned to Trixie."You see, as you know Twilight, you weren't the only one to apply for my School for Gifted Unicorns. Trixie was there was well. Only, under a different name. Bellatrix Lulamoon. She showed so much promise. She was humble, kind, timid but strong. I said she would be my personal student. Until one day..."                               "Please stop." Trixie said in tears.                                "...I replaced her with you, Twilight."                                "Trixie, is this true?" Twilight said to the still crying Trixie. She just barely made out a tiny "yes".                                "That's why I wanted to make it up to Trixie. She could've been one of my greatest students. But unfortunately, life hasn't been kind to her. I wanted to give her another chance. So, what do you say Trixie? Do you want to be my student again? I know this must be a hard choice for you. I promise I will never abandon you again." Celestia said.                                 "But, what will happen to Twilight?" Trixie asked.                                 "She will be placed in at the same point in your life as this moment."                                  "What!? Trixie! I know your life's been rough but I'm sure we can build it up again! Just go back to your life! It'll all be fine!" Twilight pleaded. Trixie thought about it for quite a bit. She finally came to a blunt answer.                                   "Princess Celestia, I accept your offer. Sorry about this Twilight but I don't care what you say anymore. This is my life. Go ahead with your own life, leave me alone! You've had your life filled with happiness like a script from a movie! But I've been given a golden opportunity and I don't intend to waste it." Trixie said walking to her new mentor.                                   "What!? Princess Celestia! You...please...help...me!" Twilight said as she was pulled into a black hole. "Trixie! Help me Trixie! Ahhhhhhh!"                                    "Twilight, I'm sorry." Celestia whispered. //-------------------------------------------------------// Return Of Nightmare Moon //-------------------------------------------------------// Return Of Nightmare Moon My name is Bellatrix Lulamoon. My parents can no longer care for me. Please take me in. -Mr and Mrs. Lulamoon "A baby? How curious..."    "Trixie? You look like you've seen a ghost!" Spike said to the petrified Trixie.     "Spike! Do you or do not know the name Twilight Sparkle! Tell me!" Trixie said as she shook Spike.      "I told you before, I don't know! Geez Trixie. I think you need to lie down for a few minutes."       "Right. Right. Sorry Spike. Just had a bad daydream."       "That's okay. Anyways we should be checking on the decorations."       "Yes, right. Good. Let's go." Trixie said. Trixie did her best to look natural but after seeing Twilight go down in a black hole screaming, she didn't think that could get out of her mind quickly. Still, her life was turning up. The only way to repay it was to enjoy it.        "Decorations...beautiful." Spike said as the pair entered the hall of the celebration.         "They look all right I guess." Trixie said. Not to be snobbish but the decorations used for most of her shows were superior. At least until the Ursa incident.        "Not the decorations, her!" Spike said as he pointed to the white mare with a purple mane who was setting up the decorations.         "Ah! I see. You know, I'm pretty good at transformations spells..."          "Do it! Please!" Spike pleaded.           "Ok here goes!" Trixie said energizing her horn. If she could turn a dog into a mare, she could turn a dragon into one too. A spark of magical glow surrounded Spike. It tangled itself around Spike like a rope. Noticing the glow, the mare turned around to look at what was going on.          "Hello darling, did you need something? Oh my!" The mare said as she saw Trixie and a purple stallion with a green mane.          "Hello. We're just here to check out how the decorations look." "Spike" said in his manliest voice.          "Go get her tiger." Trixie whispered as she chuckled to herself.          "And you might you be? I absolutely must know your name!" The mare said dreamily.          "Names Spike. Now may I have the pleasure of knowing your's?" "Spike" said with a bow.          "Oh where are my manners? I am Rarity. Rarity Belle." Rarity said giggling to herself. "Now who is that mare beside you?" Rarity said suspiciously.           "Oh I'm his sister, Trixie Lulamoon!" Trixie said hesitantly.           "Nice to meet you m'lady. I should be going now. We shall meet again!" Spike said dramatically.            "Goodbye Mr. Spike Lulamoon!" Rarity said blushing. Spike walked with Trixie away from the hall. Once they got out, Trixie deactivated the spell turning Spike back into a dragon.            "That was the single greatest moment of my life." Spike said.            "Amazing what a simple bit of illusion magic can do." Trixie smirked.            "Could you do that again sometime?" Spike asked.             "Hehe. Any time you want. It is just an illusion though."              "All right!"               "I wonder if Twilight ever thought of using that." Trixie thought as the two walked away.               "Next is music." Spike said as he and his unicorn companion strolled along a path. "Should be somewhere along this route." They both heard the sound of music and followed it. The music led them to a yellow pegasus with a pink mane conducting a bird chorus. Trixie went and approached the pegasus.                "Um. Hello." Trixie said nervously. As soon as the pegasus heard the sound of the unicorn's voice, she stopped conducting and faced Trixie. Or at least she tried. "So...my name's Trixie. And...this is Spike!" Trixie said putting Spike in front of herself.                 "Trixie!? Why are you bringing me into this!?" Spike whispered.                  "A baby dragon! I've never seen a baby dragon before! He's so cute!" The pegasi said.                   "All righty then. The music seems to be in order. Spike! Let's roll!" Trixie said walking away from the pegasi. After a few moments she looked back. "Spike?" She found that Spike was being petted by the pegasi and he was enjoying every minute.                    "In a second Trix. So what is your name?" Spike asked the pegasi.                     "Oh! Where are my manners? My name is Fluttershy!" Fluttershy said.                      "Ok...Well then...maybe you could take care of Spike for a few-" Trixie began.                       "I'd be delighted Miss Trixie!" Fluttershy exclaimed as she interrupted Trixie.                       "Good! Take care Spike!" Trixie said as she moved away from the two. "Maybe I should've used the illusion on her instead..." Trixie thought to herself. In a few minutes, Trixie made her way to her new home, a tree that housed a library. "Well, it looks cozy at least." Trixie murmured. Trixie went to open the door. When she opened it, she found her house was filled with ponies. The pink pony from before jumped in front of Trixie. "Surprise!" She yelled. "AHHHHHHH!" Trixie screamed as she ran away from the tree as fast as she could. "What was that all about?" The pink mare asked the party attendants. "I have a feeling that shouldn't have happened. I'm going to go check up on her." The pink mare said as she ran in pursuit of Trixie. Using her powers of breaking the laws of physics as we know it, the pink mare quickly caught up to Trixie. "Wait! Please!" She cried. "I won't let you! Your wheel overlords will not brainwash me too!" Trixie cried as she ran away. "Wheel overlords? That's ridiculous!" The pink mare shouted to Trixie. "'Ridiculous?' This coming from the mare with a weird hairdo?" "Touché..." "I'll never let you take my mind! Never! Never!" "I'm just trying to throw you a party!" "A party?" Trixie stopped when she heard the word. "What's a party?" Trixie questioned the mare. "You mean...you don't know what a party is?" The pink mare gasped as she stopped running. "Apparently not." "A party is like the best thing ever! You can't go through life without at least one! Let me introduce myself. I'm Pinkie Pie: Party Extraordinaire!" Pinkie yelled with a fanfare in the background. "What's with the mariachi band?" Trixie said pointing to the band behind Pinkie. "It's their day job." Pinkie shrugged. "Anyways, come with me! I'll show you what a party is!" "Ok...ah!" Trixie said as Pinkie grabbed her by the hoof and dragged her to the party as quick as a flash. "We're heeeere!" Pinkie shouted. Pinkie directed Trixie towards the cake. It had words on it that were written in frosting. It said:"Welcome to Ponyville!". "What am I supposed to do with it?" Trixie asked pointing towards the cake. "You eat it, silly!" "Are you sure?" "Yup yup!" "But where are the forks?" "Where we're going....we don't need forks." Pinkie said ominously before grabbing a slice of the cake and pushing it into Trixie's face. Cake was splattered all over her. "Hey! What was that for?" Trixie asked as she licked the cake off her face. "It's fun! You try!" Pinkie said as she jumped up and down like a kangaroo on a sugar high. "Okay..." Trixie said as she slammed the cake right into Pinkie. "Now we're mmm talkin'!" Pinkie said as she licked up the cake and ate it. "CAAKE FIIIGHT!!" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Rz5Z5t4B7g) Pinkie then threw a cake slice at a random green pony that she saw. The green pony turned around just in time to see a cake slice collide with her face. She then grabbed her apple pie and aimed it back at Pinkie, but ending up firing at a grey pony. Soon, the entire room was in chaos. Everybody was throwing cake this way and that. Even Trixie has joining in the fun! Suddenly, Pinkie vanished. "Hey where did Pinkie go?" Trixie asked. "Introducing....the party cannon! Now with added cake!" Pinkie said as she emerged with a giant cannon stuffed with cake. Everyone attempted to dodge the cannon, but it was no use. No one could hide from the deadly delight of the party cannon. "Take that! Hold it, you aren't going anywhere! I object! You will not escape me! Aha! Gotcha! Now where are you...Eureka!" Pinkie yelled at her victims. The party lasted on into the night. Trixie barely got a minute of sleep that night. For once, everything was going just great. "Why would she send us a baby! Is this to mock us? Well, we think thou is a little cute. I sense great potential from you in the future." "What!?" "I'm sorry, but she's not the one." "You mean, you just came up here, just to tell us she's not the one? We've been up here...she's been up here for ages! She even has her cutie mark! It's a moon, you know what this means!" "J-just because a filly has a moon cutie mark....d-doesn't mean..." "You know that I will return to power and replace you as a leader. And you are afraid of that, aren't you?" "No! I would never sister! I love you!" "Then prove it! Bring this filly to her true potential!" "I...can't do that." "Why not?" "Because she's not the one!" "How do you know!" "I-I..." "Liar! Liar!" "I don't know if she's the one or not." "Aha!" "But you are not ready to rule. You heart is filled with jealousy and hate. I thought a baby would calm that." "It did. You are the one with jealousy!" "Goodbye sister..." "What!? Don't take Bellatrix! Don't take our little Trix! No! No! Noooooo!" "You'll pay for this...dearly. One day I will find you Bellatrix. One day." "No!" Trixie said as she woke up from her new bed. "What!?" Spike said as he entered the room. "Oh Spike! Did Fluttershy drop you off here?" "Yeah, so why were you screaming 'no'? Was it the wheels again?" "No. Not the wheels this time. It's something that happened to me a long time ago...but that doesn't matter now. I have to get dressed!" "But...you don't wear clothes." "Of course I do! I have my cape and...my...hat. Oh yeah, alternate timeline." Trixie facehoofed. "Still don't know what you're talking about. Now let's go! We'll miss the sunrise!" "Spike! We're three hours early! Actually...what day is it again?" "How can you forget?! It's the Summer Sun Celebration!" "Which means...Nightmare Moon." Trixie mumbled. "What?" "Nothing! Look Spike, I have to go run a few errands. Can you wait for me at town hall?" "Sure!" "I can prevent disaster...before it even happens...this is really...cool." Trixie whispered. "In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year! And now, it is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day, the good, the wise, the bringer of harmony to all of Equestria..." Mayor Mare began. Trixie had just barely made it. She entered the room quietly and joined her companions. "Trixie? Where have you been?" Pinkie said. "Um...nowhere." Trixie replied as she patted her satchel. "...Princess Celestia!" Mayor Mare introduced. "3. 2. 1." Trixie said. To everyone except Trixie's surprise, instead of Celestia, Nightmare Moon appeared. "And dramatic speech cue." "Oh, my beloved subjects. It's been so long since I've seen your precious, little sun-loving faces." Nightmare Moon said. "What did you do with our princess." Trixie said with a smirk on her face. "That's...what I was gonna say..." Rainbow mumbled. "Why? Am I not royal enough for you? Don't you know who I am?" Nightmare Moon said. "Quick! Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, put these on!" Trixie said as she brought something out of her satchel. "I got these from the ancient castle of the two sisters." Trixie then pulled out the Elements Of Harmony. "Um...Trixie? What the hay are those?" Applejack asked. "Don't ask questions! Quickly!" Trixie said as she watched Nightmare Moon deliver a long "Villain Monologue". "Why? Are they mind control devices?" Rainbow asked. "No! Just put them on!" "Ok, if you say so." "But...where's the sixth element?" Trixie said frantically as the others put the elements on. "Come on Trixie think! Think! Think! Think!" Trixie said as she accidentally ignited her magic. Oblivious to Trixie, the others started to float up. "Trixie? What's goin' on!" Applejack cried. "I'm sorry. What was that...Ahhh!" Trixie said as she too floated up. "I'm blind! I'm blind! I'm blind! I'm blind!" "And that is why...what is that!?" Nightmare Moon said as she spotted the elements. "Um! Nightmare Moon, wherever you are, prepare to be defeated! Or something!" "I'm right here!" "Yes, keep talking!" "Are you mocking me?" "No!" "Are you sure? Because it really seems like you're mocking me!" "Now! Fire 'Final Rainbow Color Blaster Thingy'" Trixie said as she and the others shot a rainbow at Nightmare Moon. "What the! Agh!" Nightmare Moon yelled as she was hit by the blast. "Well! Everything is going according to plan! Perfect! Soon, the rightful princess shall be on her throne once again!" "Sister please! Reconsider!" "Silence! You knew this was coming! I'm changing history here! And you can't do a thing to stop it. Now if you excuse me, I have to congratulate some ponies!" //-------------------------------------------------------// The Great And Powerful Sparkle //-------------------------------------------------------// The Great And Powerful Sparkle "We...did it..." Trixie huffed. "And I can see again!" "Pardon me Trixie, but what exactly did we do?" Applejack asked. "I would like to know as well!" Rarity exclaimed. "I knew Nightmare Moon was going to come here, so I grabbed the Elements of Harmony to defeat her in advance." Trixie exclaimed. "How did you know?" Fluttershy asked quietly. "A hunch?" "Good enough for me!" Rainbow Dash shouted. "Now let's go home!" Spike said. "I'm getting pretty hungry." Suddenly a flash of light appeared in front of the friends. It was Princess Celestia. "Hello, my little ponies! Thank you for defeating Nightmare Moon. Now I have something to clear up." Celestia said as she walked to her defeated sister. "I'm so sorry!" Luna said sadly, now released from being Nightmare Moon, "It's okay." Celestia said. Then Celestia whispered something to Luna and Luna's face instantly grew happier. "Now let us rule together." "Of course, 'sister'." Luna replied. "Now Trixie, can you and your friends leave while me and Luna have a private discussion?" "Oh okay!" Trixie replied as she led her friends out. "...So let me get this straight, you're me?" "That is correct." "And I am you." "Yes, from another time." "But how?" "There is a scroll in the archives. It tells of a spell that can make it possible for a pony to travel through time. Unfortunately, it can be only used once by the average unicorn." "Oh!" "Fortunately for us, we are not average unicorns. I can travel as long as I please. In fact, I could stay in this timeline forever!" "And...where is our real sister?" "She is getting what she deserves." "I see." "I will assume her guise for the rest of my time here." "That mare...she looks familiar." "She's Bellatrix. Or as she calls herself now, Trixie. Beautiful name." "Bellatrix? Oh how finely she has grown! And she has her own element too. By the way, the elements looked very different from ours." "None if this would have been possible without me. Those elements were placed in the castle by me for Bellatrix to find from my timeline. Clever mare. Always was clever..." "So our elements?" "Have not been released yet." "But what about the other timeline?" "The elements do not exist anymore. I had to make multiple trips." "So what happens in your world?" "Celestia is in charge. We barely do anything because she tells us to do nothing. Every time she asks Twilight to do something, it's a reminder that she's the chosen one and not Bellatrix!" "Who's Twilight?" "My timeline's chosen one. I gave Bellatrix the chance to be the chosen one in our new world." "So what will happen to Bellatrix now?" "Great things. Great things." "Trixie wake up! It's time to start the day!" Spike yelled to the sleeping Trixie. "Wha! Oh! It's you Spike." Trixie said. "What's going on? Some kind of festival today?" "No, not a festival. Time for Celestia's training!" "Well then, let's get to work." "Celestia says that, and I quote, 'You will be practicing defensive spells and offensive spells. Spike will assist you and breathe fire for you to block. Good luck.'" Spike said reading Celestia's latest scroll. "Why couldn't it be something like making mustaches out of thin air?" "I guess Celestia wants you to be ready for the world out there. There's plenty of no good ponies out there!" "I guess you're right." Trixie flared up her horn as Spike breathed fire. Trixie blocked it using a magical shield in front of her. When Spike stopped breathing fire, she shot a tiny magic blast at him. "Ouch!" "Sorry Spike. I tried to make it as painless as possible." "It's all right. Besides, I have to toughen up for Rarity!" "Come on. Let's take a walk. I could use the fresh air. We both could." Trixie said as she opened the door and entered her town. It's been about five days since the Nightmare Moon incident and so far, everything was turning out great. She had nice friends, a great home, what more could she ask for? Certainly not being trampled over by two colts. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. "Gangway! Comin' through!" The orange colt named Snails said. "Snips, Snails, what's going on?" Spike shouted. "Haven't you heard? There's a new unicorn in town!" "Wait a second, I know you! You're those two lunatics wh-" Trixie began angrily. "Sorry! I think you got the wrong colts!" "This seems very familiar." Trixie murmured. "Anyway, she's in the town square!" "Town square...that's where..." "Come one! Come all! Come and see the amazing magic of The Great And Powerful Twilight Sparkle!" Boomed a loud voice. "Oh no." Trixie whispered. "Twilight's Log Day 6 in Trixie's Life I had no idea being a showmare was so hard! The only "house" I have is a wagon. Well, I guess I have to give Trixie credit for what she does. I have to be careful here not to mess up the timeline even more than it already is. I must meet with Trixie and set things right. I also have to find out just what is up with Celestia. I haven't got much time. Shows starting! Wish me luck! -Twilight Sparkle "Watch in awe as the Great and Powerful Twilight performs the most spectacular feats of magic ever witnessed by pony eyes!" Twilight said as she boasted on the stage, wearing a purple hat and cape. Trixie had just joined the audience. "What's going on?" Trixie asked her friends, who were in the audience as well. "Some mare is showing off." Rainbow Dash responded. "Well, it is kind of her job as an entertainer!" Trixie said, getting a little defensive. "I know, but it's annoying!" "You do realize you can just not watch the show, right?" "Actually...you've got a point. C'mon! Let's go somewhere else." Rainbow Dash said as she started to leave. Twilight observed the entire scene carefully. "C'mon Twi, you're losing them! I have to think of something. What would Trixie do?" Twilight thought to herself. "Uh! You there! No disturbing the audience while The Great and Powerful Twilight is performing!" Twilight shouted. "We're just going to leave dear. We don't mean any trouble." Rarity replied. "You! You look like a worthy rival for the Great and Powerful Twilight! Come on! Show Twilight what you've got! Show us all!" Twilight said pointing to Trixie nervously. "Now you stop right there! Trixie has no right to unwillingly come up there with you!" Applejack said. "It's okay Applejack. I accept your challenge. In fact, nothing beats the original, Miss Twilight!" Trixie said as she winked to Twilight. "Just like the old days." "Trixie? Do you know this pony?" "In another life." "What?" "Enough talk! Your duel with the Great and Powerful Twilight begins now!" Twilight shouted as she energized her horn. Trixie then flipped a tiny switch on the stage. It opened a trap door underneath Twilight. "Ah!" Twilight yelled before hitting the ground. "Twilight is okay!" Twilight then teleported back onto the stage. She walked past Trixie and whispered in her ear as she walked by. "How many tricks do you have on this stage?" "Only that one. But you're going to have to do better than that to beat The Great and Original Trixie." Trixie whispered back. Trixie then pulled a smoke bomb out of nowhere and covered the arena in smoke. When the smoke cleared, Twilight was covered in soot. Eventually she collapsed on the ground. "I can let you win if you want." Trixie whispered to Twilight as she walked over. "Thanks." Twilight whispered back. Trixie covered the stage in another smoke bomb. When the smoke cleared, Twilight was standing on top of Trixie, victorious. "The Great and Powerful Twilight prevails once and for all! If she can handle an Ursa Major, she can handle you!" Trixie then walked back to her friends. "You let her win, didn't you?" Applejack said. "Psh! No! Why would I do that?" Trixie said with a fake smile. "You're terrible at lying sugarcube." "Ok maybe I did." "Now! Twilight must bring her show to a close! Goodnight Ponyvile!" Twilight yelled as she ran backstage. "Ok we can finally go now." Rainbow said as she led her friends out. Trixie however, stayed behind and went backstage to meet her former foe. "Oh Celestia, that was horrifying!" Twilight said to herself as she looked in her mirror. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. "Who is it?" Twilight yelled. "Somepony that you used to know." A familiar voice said. Twilight opened the door. It was Trixie. "You know, you didn't have to copy my entire routine." Trixie said as she walked in. "You noticed huh?" "A creator should know his work like his own home. Or in this case, her." "Trixie, I have to talk to you about something important. I saw in the newspapers what you did." "You mean being 'the savior of all Equestria'? Yeah, I figured you'd find out one way or another." "I know but, I fear this could result in something horrible! Like something going wrong. You might not be able to handle the obstacles ahead." "Twilight, I know the obstacles ahead. I know what's going to happen." "Who's to say it might change given the circumstances. Look, I know Celestia. She seems different than usual. Keep an eye out for her." "She's my former teacher. At least when I was a filly. Come to think of it, I can't remember that much from my fillyhood." "All the more to be suspicious! Trixie, I know life has been tough for you but taking somepony else's life isn't necessary." "Then what should I have done? Go into Ponyvile with a thousand flowers and say 'Gee! I'm really sorry for being a maniacal omnipotent overlord!' No Twilight, life doesn't work that way. Look at it this way, at least your life won't be screwy. You're much smarter than I was. You would never want revenge or grab a cursed artifact to get revenge. You're...perfect. That's why I want your life. To do everything you did so I'll have a great life." "Trixie, let me tell you something, it's not what happens to us, it's how we deal with them." "Really? It seems you did everything perfectly then." "No. Not everything. I couldn't save my library for one." "I'm...sorry about that. I never knew." "It's alright. I also could've solved problems earlier when I was moping around. Something tells me with your knowledge, you won't mope around. You just defeated Nightmare Moon in less than ten minutes! I could've never done that! Future or not." "Thanks, but I kind of like this life. Would you mind if I kept it a little longer?" "Well, I won't ask you to get back into your own life until you absolutely want to. It wouldn't be right. Celestia gave you an offer and you took it. I can't blame you for that." "Thank you for understanding." Suddenly there was another knock at the door. "Who is it?" Twilight yelled. "It's us! We have a tiny problem!" Snips said behind the door. Twilight and Trixie looked towards each other in shock. "The Ursa!" They both shouted simultaneously. //-------------------------------------------------------// A Major Situation //-------------------------------------------------------// A Major Situation "No, no, no, no, no, no, not the Ursa! Anything but the Ursa!" Trixie screamed. "Trixie, calm down. If it's anything like last time we can defeat it. Together." Twilight said, trying to calm Trixie down. "You...you're right. Besides, it's just a minor right?" No sooner than the words had left her mouth, giant footsteps boomed in the distance. Twilight went out to take a look. When she came back, she was as pale as white. "Trixie...that is most definitely not a Minor." "What is it? Some kind of Ursa lower than a Minor?" Trixie chuckled. "No. It...really is a Major this time." "Stop messing with me!" "I'm serious." "Twilight, Twilight, Twilight. We are in the same time as before so there is no way..." Trixie said as she trotted outside. "...there...is...a...Ursa Major. Oh dear!" Trixie said as she spotted the Ursa. "But you can vanquish it, right?" Snips asked. "Yeah! You said you could!" Snails said. "I...ugh!" Twilight groaned. "Now you know how it feels." Trixie said. "Annoying isn't it?" "I have to admit, now I wish I had given them a harsher punishment." "You know, torturing them was the only enjoyment I got out of the Allicorn Amulet." "So, what is it li-" Twilight said shortly after being interrupted by a roar of a angry Ursa Major. "I suppose it can wait." The four went outside together and faced the Ursa. It immediately turned its attention to Snips and Snails. "Again, what possessed you to bring a Ursa Major to Ponyville!" "Well, we did find a blue one but we thought a purple one might be your style!" Snips said. "You idiots!" Trixie shouted. The Ursa then leaned in on Snips and Snails. "Um...no hard feelings?" Snails said weakly. The Ursa opened up its wide mouth. Snips and Snails watched in horror as the Ursa leaned closer to them. They were paralyzed with fear. The Ursa then ate the two and swallowed them whole. "So...would anypony actually care?" Trixie asked Twilight. "Well they are orphans." Twilight replied. "Alright good." "Trixie! Did you feel no regret that you couldn't save them?!" "A bit...a bit..." "To be frank...me too." The Ursa then turned to the rest of Ponyville. "Twilight! Do what you did last time!" Trixie shouted frantically. "It's not a baby! It wouldn't work!" Twilight shouted back. "Well, we're pretty much bucked aren't we!" Trixie shouted, "Trixie! Language!" "Language doesn't matter now! You are going to die! I am going to die! Everypony is going to die!" "Calm down. I'm sure we can find a logical solution to the problem." "Wait, we can just use the elements! Actually, why didn't you use the elements last time!" "Because...um..." "Because it wasn't a "two-parter" silly!" Pinkie said as she arrived with the rest of her friends. "Trixie, we've been looking all over for you! And why are you with her!" Rainbow Dash said pointing to Twilight. "Um...she's my long lost sister!" Trixie said as she brought Twilight closer to her. "Make...this...work." Trixie whispered. "Yeah! We go way back!" Twilight said. "If you say so." Rainbow said suspiciously. "Now onto the task at hand. There is a giant rampaging Ursa on the loose and we have to stop it." "Hold on there! You said 'we'. Twice. What happened to 'Twilight'?" "Ahem. I mean Twilight! Yes! That's what I meant!" "Er...look! Giant rampaging monster!" Trixie said, trying to distract the group. "Get the elements! Quick!" "Um...Trixie you can't just whip out the elements for every little thing!" "Why not?" "Because....because...I...don't know." "It's because it's not a two parter, remember! But...since this is a fic, we'll make exceptions." Pinkie said. "What are you...never mind. It's Pinkie Pie, don't question it." Trixie said to herself. "I see you caught on quick." Twilight said. Trixie then grinned at Twilight then reached into her satchel for the elements. Unfortunately, they weren't there. "Ha. It's...not here. Come on, Deus Ex Machina. Come to Trixie." "Where did you leave it last?" "I don't know! Ugh! Ursas! Ursas! Ursas! I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate THEM! I want them to die and endanger their entire species!" Trixie ranted. Twilight and the rest of Trixie's friends slowly walked backwards. "They ruined my life!" Trixie then glared towards the Ursa Major. "And now, I'm gonna ruin theirs. I'll kill them! I'll kill them all!" Trixie cried as tears ran down her face. "Trixie! Calm down!" "What? Did you have to endure this? No! Did you have to endure living on a rock farm just to make a quick bit? No! Did you have revenge slowly take over your mind and eventually take away any hope that you could live a happy life? No! Revenge, that is what makes life worth living! It's the best feeling in the world! It can give you a satisfaction greater than any game or award! It...it...makes you...happy. It made me happy. It made me hate you. It made me hate them. It made me do horrible things. It...made me not me. I'm...so sorry." Trixie said as she broke into uncontrollable tears. "It's...alright." "No! It's not. I...don't want to defeat the Ursa." "What!? Why?" "It's...revenge. I can't handle that feeling. It's too strong. Too tempting. Tell me Twilight, have you ever experienced revenge? Actual revenge?" Twilight didn't know how to respond to that. She had felt a little bit of revenge when Tirek destroyed her library but she had gotten a new castle afterwards. She had also felt that feeling with nearly every villain that she had encountered but she always got what she wanted. Twilight never had to deal with that feeling for long. Trixie on the other hoof did. Twilight couldn't imagine how horrible that must've felt. "Not as much as you have." Twilight admitted. "But we have to defeat this Ursa. Revenge or no revenge. Some evil has to be vanquished. You can defeat the Ursa, but not in the name of revenge. In the name of good." Twilight said as she put her arm over Trixie. "Well then, we have a Ursa to vanquish don't we?" Trixie said. "Why is this happening? This is not supposed to happen! Trixie is supposed to hate Twilight and Twilight is supposed to hate her!" "Fate is a unpredictable thing, my sister. You can't simply control it." "Quiet you! A good whipping should do the trick!" "Ahhh!" "Had enough Celestia? Do you know how it feels?" "Luna, what happened to your teeth?" "Ah so you noticed! I knew you would! Well, let's just say, your nightmares will be coming true soon. Ha! Ha! Ha!" "Twilight, wherever you are. I pray you are safe." "Pray? To whom? You are one confused princess! Ahahahaha!" . //-------------------------------------------------------// No More Magicians //-------------------------------------------------------// No More Magicians "So...got any ideas?" Trixie asked Twilight "None at all!" Twilight said triumphantly. "Then...what do we do?" "We wing it!" "Really? Wing it? Is that what you usually do? Just wing it?" "Most of the time, yes." "That's idiotic!" Trixie raised her hooves up in annoyance. "That's what we do." "You can't just run in there. Think of something at least! I...ugh! I'll deal with this monster myself!" "Trixie, it's too dangerous." "Remember how I said I could defeat an Ursa Major? This is my chance to prove it to you." "Trixie, you aren't seriously considering this, are you?" "I've been known to consider a lot of crazy ideas." Trixie said as she winked to Twilight. She threw a rock at the Ursa. "Hey, you want me? Come and get me." Trixie yelled. The Ursa snorted and turned to  Trixie. It walked slowly and bent over to Trixie. Trixie then looked back to Twilight. "In hindsight, this may not have been the best idea." "Told ya." "You know...sometimes I hate when you're right." Trixie sighed. She then ran away from the Ursa. Trixie raced throughout the streets of Ponyville with the Ursa wreaking havoc on the town in its persuit. It knocked down every cart and every barrel in its wake. Trixie then spotted what could be her salvation: The Everfree. Trixie ran toward the forest with the Ursa close behind. As soon as Trixie ran into the Everfree she blended in with the darkness. She hid behind the nearest tree she could find. Suddenly, she heard large footsteps. It filled Trixie with dread. The Ursa walked slowly, carefully looking around for its prey. Trixie was sweating bullets as she closed her eyes, hoping that the Ursa wouldn't find her. Trixie slowly walked around the tree when she stepped on a twig. The Ursa noticed it immediately and went after the sound of the noise. Trixie took off again. She ran and ran in what felt like an endless path. Eventually, she reached a dead end. The path had led her to a cliff. The Ursa closed in on her. Trixie looked in every direction for a way out, but couldn't. The terrifying beast licked its lips. Trixie frantically looked for anything to defend herself with. Her attention turned to a large branch that had fallen down from its tree. She energized her horn and concentrated on picking it up with her magic. The Ursa opened up its mouth wide.  Trixie focused on pulling the branch and then to the Ursa. She felt a surge of anger. This monster, that had filled her life with grief was at her mercy. It was going to pay. For everything. All those years on the rock farm. All that jeering and teasing. Giving birth to that demon-spawn. And overall ruining her life. Her eyes flashed teal for a moment. And then she delivered her attack, quick and sure. "I HATE YOU!" Trixie looked down at her fallen prey. It's eyes were shut and there was no sign of a heart pulse. No doubt, it was dead. "I've done...what I've always needed to do...I...fulfilled my role...as The Great and Powerful Trixie. Now...this...magician charade...can finally die...in peace." Trixie murmured before passing out. "Trixie! What were you thinking!!" These were the first words Trixie heard when she awoke. Trixie was in a bed in her library. She was surrounded by her friends in her library with Twilight leaning over to scold Trixie even more. "Gah! Twilight! Give a mare some space!" Trixie yelled putting her front hooves up. "I'm sorry." Twilight sighed. "But, it's just...you...when we found you..." "You appeared to be taking a nap...next to..." Rarity said as she got closer to Trixie. "A dead Ursa! Never thought you had it in ya!" Rainbow praised. "Rainbow Dash...please don't say...the 'd' word." Fluttershy whimpered. "You mean desert? 'Cause I think some is in order!" Pinkie yelled as she brought out a large cake. "Pinkie, give the mare some space. In fact, we should all give Trix some space after what she's gone through." Applejack said. "It's okay. You can stay." Trixie pleaded. "In that case, I'd like to ask you about something." "Shoot." "What's your real relation to this show-off." "Um...we're sisters! I told you that didn't I?" Trixie stammered. "I told you once and I'll tell you again: You're terrible at lying." Applejack raised a brow. "Well, I guess you girls need to know the truth." Trixie gave up. "We actually had a crush on each other in magic kindergarten!" Twilight blurt out. "Oh! Yeah...I see why you would want to keep that a secret." Applejack said awkwardly. "Well, we should all be going now. You need your rest. Bye!" Applejack and the rest of Trixie's friends went out the door. "Twilight! Could you stay for a second!" Trixie yelled. "Sure. What is it?" Twilight asked. "Well, you see, ponies are going to treat you awfully out there. I was wondering if you'd...maybe like to stay here. You'll feel right at home anyways." Trixie chuckled nervously. "Well, I don't really have anywhere else to go...why not?" Twilight shrugged. "Thanks." Trixie smiled. "Thanks? I thought you were the one who offered me something." Twilight joked. "Things may not have gone smoothly as I imagined but they still worked out in the end! Ha!" "What is it going to take, sister? Your plans will fail. You're only hurting yourself!" "Silence fool! In 20 days we'll see who will fail. Muahahahahaha!" //-------------------------------------------------------// The Ultimate Nightmare //-------------------------------------------------------// The Ultimate Nightmare "Hm...as I suspected. She is almost ready to be the next host. A strong desire for revenge and powerful magical capabilities. What more could I want? I already lent a bit of my power to her, so who knows? In a while my successor shall be ready to rule. Whether she likes it or not." "Luna, come to your senses! Remember how much you loved Trixie. Trixie wouldn't want this." "How do you know what Trixie wants? Did you think of what Trixie wanted when you took her away?! I thought not. The clock is ticking, Celestia...AGHH!" "Sister!" "Celestia...I'm so-SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHE IS SAYING! WE NEED A NEW HOST! WE NEED HER NOW!"** "Luna? What's wrong?" "Nothing is wrong. Everything is right. Ugh!"** "What...what is that on your leg! Is...that armor?" "N-Nothing a disguise can't fix. There good as new!"** "Please let me help you." "Enough! Every time you try to help her, you end up making it worse. Actually, keep helping. It feeds my power."** "'Her?' 'We?'" "Looks like the cat's out of the bag. Let me introduce myself. I am the manifestation of revenge itself: Nightmare! Every time anypony has a need for revenge, I gain power! Fortunately for me, your little sister just happened to be the most hate-filled pony in Equestria! She is making a fantastic host. Well, I haven't gained enough power to gain full control, so I will only be talking to you for a short time." "So that's why you panicked when Trixie stopped hating Twilight..." "Clever! But that doesn't matter anymore. I am almost complete and will soon be able to take over without it. And if that doesn't work, I still have this timeline's Luna to possess." "You monster! Give me back my sister!" "...As you wish. But my influence will always be there." "...Sister, is that you?" "Of course it's me you dunce. Have you forgotten already the pony who doomed you?! AHAHAHAHA! Now if you excuse me, I have some business to attend to." "Guess what? Tonight's the night!" "What night?" "The night I take over the world of course!" "Sister, stop! I'm sorry! I'll do anything just stop!" "Nothing you say could change my mind. It's far too late for that. Besides, what's more fun, co-ruling alongside your goody-two-shoes sister or ruling alongside your daughter?" "Luna, is this what it's all about?" "Be quiet! Tonight I will reveal myself for what I really am and Trixie will finally be as powerful as she wanted to be. Ahahahahahahahahaha!" "Sister..." "Trixie?! Trixie, wake up! Today's the day of the gala!" Twilight said, as she leaned over Trixie's bed. "...the what now?" Trixie mumbled sleepily. "The Grand Galloping Gala of course!" Twilight said annoyed. "I haven't gotten an invitation to the gala!...wait...was that supposed to happen?" Trixie said worryingly. "I knew something was off! In my timeline, Celestia sent the tickets days ago!" Twilight exclaimed. "I knew this 'Celestia' can't be trusted! I-" Twilight was interrupted by Spike, who had just entered the room. "Trixie! There's an invitation here to the Grand Galloping Gala!" Spike said as he held 8 tickets in his hand. "Eight?" Twilight questioned. "Guess Celestia knew you were here! Not that you deserve a ticket anyways..." Spike grumbled. "Spike, what have I said about being kind to our guest!?" Trixie scolded. "It's alright. Let's just go together!" Twilight said. "Spike, could you leave us alone for a few minutes?" Trixie said as she motioned Spike to leave. "Ooookay..." Spike said suspiciously as he left and closed the door behind him. "So how is the gala?" "It's horrible." Twilight said flatly. "WHAT!? Then why go?!" Trixie shouted in Twilight's face. "Because it's fun!" "I don't follow." Trixie said confused. "Hanging out with friends! That's all that matters. Just do a little favor for me." "What?" "Tell them to lower their expectations." "I don't want to do this." "Yes you do! Teach them all a lesson they won't soon forget. Did you really think I would give up on you, after all these years? No. When I saw you, you were pathetic. You only came out when somepony needed you. Now, they will need your mercy!" "Then where were you? Where were you all those years?" "Surviving. I picked a new partner every time. Sometimes I revisited old partners. Sombra, Chrysalis and others. Did you really think they could get where they were without me?" "You-you're..." "Did you think the changeling queen could've passed through the barrier just like that? Did you think the Crystal Empire could've risen without my help? Who do you think persuaded Cerberus to leave his post? Me! I suggest you stay true to your word. You don't want to make an enemy out of me." "Well, is everypony ready?" Trixie asked her group of friends. The group nodded back excitedly. As soon as they had been told they were invited to the gala, their hearts burned with anticipation. "Good! I arranged a carriage to come pick us up here." "Really? I could just get a couple of mice and..." Twilight murmured. "And here they are!" Trixie said as she pointed outside. Two stallions in golden armor opened the door of Trixie's library and escorted the gleeful ponies to their carriage. "I can't believe we are actually going to the gala!" Rarity exclaimed as she got into the carriage. "Yeah! What could go wrong?!" Rainbow Dash said. "...famous last words." Trixie murmured. "You have no idea." //-------------------------------------------------------// The Battle Of Time //-------------------------------------------------------// The Battle Of Time "We're here! Trixie said as she stepped out of the carriage. She and her friends stood in front of a giant castle. It shimered like the light of the moon itself. Everypony squealed with delight as they walked towards the setting of their grand gala. "I feel so excited, I could just sing!!" Pinkie said as she opened up her mouth as if to sing. "No! You're not going to do a song while I'm here!" Trixie said as she covered Pinkie's mouth. "Why not?" Twilight asked. "High school...I wrote a song that...sweet Celestia...never again. High school was a dark time." Trixie said softly. "You mean that annoying song that played when we were trapped under th-" Twilight said until she noticed Trixie's glare. "I shouldn't bring it up." Twilight said, blushing. Trixie and her friends soon arrived inside the castle. The room was filled with ponies. The group looked in awe of all the beauty of castle. From the shining glass windows to the grand hall. When they entered, Celestia herself stood in the middle to give a opening speech. As soon as she cleared her throat, everypony became silent. "Hello everypony and welcome to The Grand Galloping Gala. I'm sure you've all met me but I would like to introduce you to someone new." Celestia said. "No! Not yet! I'm still not complete!" "...your.." "Oh what the hay..." "...doom..." Celestia said as her beautiful white wings transformed into black ones. Her flowing hair turned into a stary night. Her white skin turned into shadowy armor. There was no Celestia, there was only Nightmare. "Did ya miss me!?" Nightmare Moon cackled. "What!? But we defeated you!" Trixie blurted out. "Yes, you did. But that was the past me." "I don't follow." "Celestia never really made an offer to you. It was I. Every time you saw Celestia from the moment you arrived, you saw me." "Its...not...possible..." Trixie stammered. "Do you not remember? You weren't Celestia's student. You were mine. I tried everything to get you back in Celestia's School, but my sister still feared you were the chosen one. Instead, she chose Miss Sparkle. Join me. My...daughter." "No! No! You're lying! You're lying!" Trixie shouted. "I am telling the truth. Celestia gave you to me during my banishment. I was your foster mother. Together we can start a new world where we rule!" "Really?" Trixie said. "W-what?" "You're going for the whole, 'Join me and I will make your face the greatest in the land',thing? Isn't that a little cliche? Even for you?" "Well, I was hoping for you to join me." "Do you think I'm an idiot!?" "No." "Then why did you not tell me all this in the first place?!" "Well...uh...see...I didn't really think this plan through and I didn't quite count on this." "Oh!" Trixie turned to her friends and chuckled. "She didn't think this plan through! A villain who didn't think their plan through! Mares and stallions, I would like you to meet the worst villain ever born!" "How?" "Unlike you, I thought this whole thing through. And I still have the elements and we can defeat you like last time!" "What!?? I don't know...Nightmare, help me!" Suddenly all the lights in the room flickered and died. A chill filled the air as a ghostly voice echoed through the halls. "I told you, you don't want to make an enemy out of me. You made the right decision of making me your ally. But you seemed to have the perfect timing. For I am finally complete and ready to take full control." a chilling voice said. "Full control? What do you mean full control?" Suddenly, Nightmare Moon's eyes sparked white. Then they turned a shadowy black. "Your mind is now mine." Nightmare chuckled. "Nightmare Moon?" Trixie said approaching the dark allicorn. "No. Just Nightmare. Also known as the manifestation of revenge." Nightmare said before proceeding to grab Trixie's neck with her magic and began to choke her. "Trixie!" Twilight said as she rushed to her new ally's aid. As soon as Twilight appeared, Nightmare stopped choking Trixie and let the showmare fall to the ground. "So, here is the legendary Twilight Sparkle." Nightmare mocked. "You've...met me before. Haven't you." Twilight said suspiciously. "Hm! She's smarter than she looks. But you forget, you aren't in your perfect universe anymore. This is my world and you are not welcome in my world." Nightmare said as she shot Twilight with a shadowy magical blast. Twilight's eyes closed and she collapsed. As Trixie started to get up, she saw Twilight collapsing. "Twilight!? What did you do to her?" Trixie yelled. "I gave her a little nightmare. One she will never wake up from." "...Twilight..." Trixie tried to wake up her friend but with no avail. Nightmare looked on with delight. "Tonight marks the night of a new timeline! A new world!" Nightmare proclaimed. No sooner than she said those words, everything started shaking. The world became distorted and blurry. "What the..." Nightmare muttered. Right next to Nightmare, a purple portal opened up. Nightmare slowly examined it. She felt curiosity and went in. There, she saw every time, everywhere. Multiple portals filled the room to other times like doors in a hallway. Nightmare grinned at this opportunity. "I can take over any time I want. Everything will be mine. Nothing will escape my wrath. My lust for destruction will be shared with everypony. No...everyone!" Nightmare shouted. Meanwhile, Trixie panicked. There was nothing she could do to save Twilight. She shook her for a while, but then came to a conclusion: If she beat Nightmare, she would have a chance at reviving Twilight. She turned to her friends for help, but she found everypony was frozen. She then turned her attention to Nightmare's portal. Trixie reached into her satchel and put on the elements one by one to each of her frozen friends. Lastly, she put the element of magic on her head. With great courage, she walked into the portal. Trixie found a spiraling vortex inside the portal. The first thing she saw was an enthusiastic Nightmare looking at all the possibilities. "H-hey! You!" Trixie stammered. Nightmare turned back to Trixie. "Oh there you are. I had almost forgotten about my new host." Nightmare said. "New host? Is that your plan?" Trixie questioned. "Why yes." Nightmare said calmly as she walked threateningly towards Trixie. "Well, you're going to have to catch me first!" Trixie said as she jumped into a portal. Nightmare followed bin pursuit. The two ended up in a small patch of grass in the middle of nowhere. They both looked at their surroundings to identify their location. Suddenly a cannonball hit Nightmares head. It came from a earth pony manning a cannon in a nearby fort. "As chancellor, I have the right to shoot at unidentified ponies!" The pony yelled. Nightmare shot a huge magical blast back in response. "Point made." The earth pony squeaked back. "Now, where were we?" Nightmare said. Trixie immediately ran for her life. Nightmare didn't even move. She just energized her horn and made a flame. She set the flame on the grass inflaming it. Trixie stopped and looked back on the horrifying scene. Trixie then ran even harder. Unfortunately the flames were faster and they chased Trixie to the edge of a cliff. Trixie came to a halt. The flames were catching up quicker. Trixie only had one choice. Jump. Trixie took a leap of faith and fell down the cliff. Right bellow Trixie a portal appeared and she fell through it. Trixie found herself near a calm lake. She looked at her reflection in the water but instead, three seaponies popped out. "Shoo be doo! Sh-" The seaponies sang in unison before being shot by a magical blast. Shocked, Trixie looked to see where the blast came from. Who should appear in that direction but Nightmare. She shot more blasts, this time at Trixie. Trixie ran in every direction and soon ran into another portal. Trixie fell from the sky and ended up in a strange rainbow-colored land. Nightmare made short work of it. She set flames to the fields and in place of it's beautiful sunset, an eternal night was put in its place. Trixie saw Nightmare coming towards her. She screeched and fell through another portal. This time she ended up in the throne room of the Canterlot Castle. Trixie looked to the throne to see Nightmare sitting down in it. She tried running towards the doors but Nightmare closed them before she got to them. "There's no escaping this time." Nightmare threatened. "Time to accept your fate." Nightmare energized her horn and made a fireball. Just then, Trixie got an idea. A crazy idea. As Nightmare fired the ball at Trixie, the former showmare dodged it and ran towards Nightmare. She slowed down and bowed to her. "I am ready to accept my fate, master." Trixie said. "I thought you might give in sometime." Nightmare said as her essence left Luna. She flowed through the air towards Trixie. Right at the last second, Trixie took off the element of magic and used it as a shield against Nightmare. A pink aura blocked Nightmare from getting to Trixie. "What is in this thing!?" Trixie shouted. "A part of its original user of course!" A voice said. A ghostly version of Twilight appeared to Trixie. "Twilight? Is that you?" Trixie asked. "Yes and no. Whatever power or feelings Twilight put into the elements stays in it." "You...mean..." "This element is from a different time as yours." "Oohhh! That makes much more sense." "Now Trixie, let's finish her off!" Twilight's spirit said as both Trixie and Twilight combined their energy to make a giant magic blast. It consumed Nightmare and held it in captivity. Suddenly it vanished. "That was too easy." Trixie said. "Now...one last nightmare....for YOU! You thought...you've won? That...is a lie. You may not have been my vessel...but there are more of you to go around! I will...return....another....day. Have...a nice...Nightmare..." A voice said. Trixie collapsed and fell to the ground. "Trixie! Please! Wake up!" said a very familiar voice. Trixie opened her eyes to see Twilight. "T-twilight?" Trixie murmured. "Oh thank goodness! You're ok!" Twilight exclaimed. "I'm glad to see you're ok too!" Trixie said. "You know, lately I've been having this feeling whenever I'm around you. I think, maybe it's time I let myself express that feeling." Twilight said as she puckered up her lips and leaned over to Trixie. "What!? What!? Twilight what are you doing!? Stop!" Trixie yelled. "Trixie? Trixie wake up!" Trixie opened her eyes to see Twilight. "Ahhh! Please don't kiss me!" Trixie pleaded. "Kiss you? Why would I kiss you?" Twilight asked confided. "Nothing...just...a...never mind. Wait! Twilight! You're alive!" Trixie said. "Thanks to you. Apparently once you defeated Nightmare, everything went back to normal. We eventually found where Celestia was located and returned her to her duties." "Thank goodness." Trixie sighed with relief. "I think this life can get a little tough. You can have your life back if you want." Twilight shook her head. "You can stay if you want." Luna said as she walked into the room. "Luna?" Trixie said in horror. "My apologies about my lust for revenge. Nightmare returned and...I know not what came over me. Can you forgive me?" Luna apologized. "Apology accepted." Trixie replied. "I can transport you both to your proper place, however you have made an impact on this world and others in it. You have every right to stay." Luna said "So I can stay?" Trixie asked. "Why not! Now I need to be heading to my universe." Twilight said as she walked off. "Wait! Can I...visit you?" Trixie begged. "Any time." Twilight answered. Suddenly, Celestia entered the room. "I'm so sorry for any trouble I caused." Trixie said ashamed. "It's quite alright." Celestia comforted "However Trixie....there is....something you should see." Celestia said. Celestia led Trixie to a mirror. It looked very distorted and strange. Trixie pressed her hoof against the mirror. Suddenly her reflection came out in real life. "Trixie." The reflection said. "You're...me!" Trixie exclaimed. "I know, I had the same reaction. But you have to listen! Something terrible is happening. It's in the human world!" "What is this problem?" The reflection paused for a minute. "It's you....or to be more precise...the human you." The reflection responded gravely.
