My Little Toa: Quest for the Masks
Chapter 1: THE PROPHESY
Previous ChapterNext ChapterProtector of Stone, Big Mac, was sleeping the night away. Being chief of a village was tough work, especially when said village was in the middle of a desert. However, he couldn’t be any more at home than he was right now. Suddenly a massive explosion shook the entire village, causing him to wake up instantly. Mac ran out of his hut a few seconds later to see that his entire village had woken up and were now panicking.
Mac frowned watching his village panicking, and slammed his mighty foot into the ground to get their attention. Now Big Mac was known for a Protector of few words, but when he had something to say, you listened. “Everybody return to your homes at once!” He said as the villagers nodded and returned to their homes… All except one. The village elder, Granny Smith, walked over to Big Mac and looked up to him, saying,
“Your gonna go see what that there explosion was all about, aren’t ya?” She said to which Mac responded with his trademark “EeYup”. Granny nodded and turned towards her home. Mac frowned and grabbing his weapon, a laser staff, left the village of stone towards the area of the Massive explosion. Mac crossed the ocean of sand towards what seemed to be the one of the sacred area’s on the island, owned by the Mask Maker Sister’s, Celestia and Luna.
Mac knew that if he was heading in towards the Mask Makers, then his fellow protectors would surely be meeting up with him before long. And it would appear he was right. Mac was soon joined by two of his fellow protectors and friends, the Protector of Earth, Maud Pie, and the protector of Ice, Bulk Biceps. Together, they made their way towards the Mask Makers Hut, only to find it empty.
“I don’t understand” Maud said as they looked around, “Where are the Mask Maker’s?” Bulk looked outside to see the last of the protectors, Sunset Shimmer, Protector of Fire, Daring Do, Protector of Jungle, and Zecora, Protector of Water.
“I don’t know, but Im sure we will be able to double our efforts in finding the Mask Makers now that they are here” Bulk said as Mac walked over giving his usual “EeYup” as they walked over towards the other protectors.
Sunset sighed as her fellow protectors searched the area around the Hut in hopes of finding the Great Sister’s, but at this point, their search seemed to begin turning up fruitless. “Ugh… I don’t think we will EVER find them now” She said as she used her fire claws to cut through more rock in hopes that one of the Mask Makers was behind it.
“EVERYONE! OVER HERE!” Yelled Daring who was standing by a massive hole in the ground. The other protectors ran over to her and looked into the hole gasping at what they saw. There in the hole, was the maskless, lifeless body of Celestia. However, there was no sign of Luna. Mac frowned down at the lifeless body and turning towards his fellow protectors, said
“We must give the Great Celestia a proper burial.” The other protectors nodded only for Zecora to stop them and put a hand to her ear.
“What is that that my ear does hear?” She said as the other protectors quieted down as they soon heard a faint whisper in the air. They all turned back towards the lifeless body of Celestia and gasped as the whisper was coming from Celestia herself!
“When Times A Dark, and All Hope Seems Lost, the Protectors must Unite, One from each Tribe. Evoke the Power of both Past and Future, and Look to the Skies for an Answer. When the Stars Align, Six Comets will Bring Timeless Heroes to Claim the Masks of Power, And Find the Mask Maker. United, The Elements Hold the Power to Defeat Evil. United, But not One.”
The Protectors had brought the Mask Maker Celestia to a sacred room hidden away on the Island of Okoto. They gently set her down inside a coffin of stone. The protectors looked at the great one in pure sadness as Mac and Daring set a replica Mask of Sunlight onto her face, before the other protectors pushed the coffin lid onto her coffin, and sighed. The Great Mask Maker had somehow lost her life, and currently, there was no way of bringing her back. Worse yet, Her sister Luna had still not shown up after all that had transpired, and hope for her being alive grew even slimmer.
As the protectors left the tomb of the Great Celestia, Sunset decided to take one last moment alone to be with Celestia. The rest of the protectors nodded and respected it, knowing that Celestia had been like a mother to Sunset. “Oh Celestia… I shall greatly miss you. I only hope that these dark times you predicted never happen. But if they do… I only pray that we will be reunited again one day. I shall miss you…. Mother…”
