My Little Toa: Quest for the Masks
Chapter 4: APPLEJACK: MASTER OF STONE
Previous ChapterNext Chapter“I am Applejack. My Will is Solid Rock. I am here to battle evil. Its is my destiny to claim my Golden Mask of Power… AND BECOME… THE MASTER… OF STONE!!!”
The sun was burning down on Applejack, as she and the Protector of Stone, Big Mac, were making their way through the desert of Okoto. Applejack grunted as she stubbed her foot on a boulder.
“Stupid Boulder…” She said as she reared her leg back and swung to teach it a lesson. Big Mac watched as the boulder went sailing over the desert as Applejack stood there, shocked at her own strength. Big Mac chuckled and walked over to the Toa.
“You must be careful, you have yet to realize the full potential of your power yet, but you will.” Applejack nodded and continued after the Protector as they made their way over to a canyon.
“So tell me, what exactly are we looking for?” Applejack asked as they stopped over the cliff. Big Mac turned to her and shook his head.
“You forgot the clue from the Temple of Time already?” Applejack sighed as she remembered back to meeting her fellow Toa.
“So, whats the plan?” Twilight asked as her and the other Toa turned towards the Protectors. Sunset stepped forward and waved her hand as an image of the Island appeared.
“It was said that one day, Six heroes, The Toa, would arrive on Okoto, and gather the six sacred Golden Masks, to defeat evil, Awaken the Mask Maker, and save the Island! However, nobody but Celestia knew the locations of the Golden Masks.” She said hanging her head in defeat.
“Well, she MUST of left some clues as to where the locations of the masks might be, in case she was no longer with us to give us directions!” Rainbow said as she leaned on her swords. Sunset turned to the other Protectors who nodded in agreement.
Maud stepped forward and replied, “Perhaps she did… Look!” Maud then pointed up towards the walls of the Temple as the symbols began to glow. The group looked up in amazement as words began to form.
‘To find the Golden Mask of Stone, one must locate the gorge in the endless desert.
To gain the Golden Mask of Ice, one shall brave the harshest blizzard.
To obtain the Golden Mask of Jungle, one will find it hugged by thorny vines.
To locate the Golden Mask of Water, one will locate it in the deepest part of the ocean.
To find the Golden Mask of Earth, one will need to scale an underground mountain.
To receive the Golden Mask of Fire, one must find a way to cross molten lava.
Do all this, and these masks will become yours.’
Applejack looked at Big Mac and sighed. “I know were meant to cross this here gorge, but exactly what are we looking for? A random rock that has the Mask just floating over it? A temple filled with traps?”
Big Mac chuckled and slid down the side of the cliff. “If asking questions was your power, youd be invincible.” Applejack groaned and slid after him. Big Mac landed on rock and looked both ways.
“We should go that way.” He said as he pointed left. “I sense a great power coming from over there.” Applejack nodded and stepped forward. Big Mac followed, only to stop. Applejack soon turned around to find her companion was stuck in the sand.
“Uh… A little help?” Big Mac asked as Applejack walked back over and pulled him out of the ground and over her shoulders.
“How come you were sinking, but Im not?” Applejack asked as she turned around to continue their trip.
“Probably due to your sand shoes your wearing.” He said as Applejack looked down at her feet. “I guess so.” She said.
Applejack set down Big Mac as they neared an ancient temple. “Looks like the place has been deserted for awhile…” Applejack said. Big Mac nodded and looked around.
“Then you better hurry! Before the Skull Spiders attack!” he said. Applejack stood up and made her way towards the temple. She soon stomped into the entrance and looked around. It was quiet… Too Quiet… Applejack frowned and walked into the Temple. She saw the Golden Mask at the end of the Temple and sighed at the easy task ahead of her. She suddenly heard a scuttling sound and looked up. She groaned as she saw hundreds of Skull Spiders making their way towards her. Growling, she clenched her fists and channeled her power. She soon found herself floating in the air.
She looked down seeing she was inside a tornado. She smirked under her mask and began flying towards the Golden Mask. The Skull Spiders jumped at her, only for the Tornado to knock them away from her. She soon found herself in front of the Golden Mask of Stone. She could feel the power pulsing from it. She removed her own mask and grabbed the Golden Mask, placing it over her face…
MEANWHILE
“With an army that large, I could win for sure… But why stop there?” A Mysterious Snake said as he punched in a few more buttons and soon got a picture of Okoto. “Hmm… I wonder what kind of evil lives here…” he said as he punched in another message. However, before he could finish, the screen once again activated, showing just a pair of red eyes.
“Don’t bother with your message you worm… You grabbed my attention the moment you spied on this island…” Nightmare Moon said as the creature turned towards it, smiling.
“Very well then. I am Lyric of Dimension SB2WWC5. I am here to make a most excellent offer.” Nightmare nodded, allowing Lyric to continue. “I am offering you a chance to join me and my new associate Galvatron in CONQURING the Multiverse!” Nightmare Moon blinked and chuckled darkly.
“A chance at ruling over more than just this island? How could I not accept? With My skill of creating armies, I know I will make an excellent addition to your army. As long as my actions keep my sister Celestia asleep for all eternity.” She said as Lyric smiled hissing.
“Then I shall contact you when I re-obtain the power I need to break a hole in reality to bring you here.” The Dark one smiled, and nodded.
“Very well… Nightmare Moon out.”
