Chapters I'm In Love With A Changeling
She was everything I ever wanted in a mare, her eyes shined in the moonlight and she had a kind smile on her face, no pony could ever stand close to being as beautiful as her. She has a voice of silk and she smelled of a Lilacs and Blossoms, I knew she was a my perfect some pony. But her kind is my kinds worst enemy, she's a changeling and I'm a pegasus, no pony or thing will stand in my way of loving her.
In the Crystal Empire it was my sworn duty to protect the prince and princess. Shining Armor is my captain and I am his loyal lieutenant, of the royal crystal guards. I am a pegasus, my name is Cream Field, to others I'm Lieutenant Field.
One afternoon I was called in by my captain and the princess. Arriving I was given a salute by my loyal comrades and I gave them one back. Shining Armor greeted me and I greeted him and his wife with a full bow.
"Lieutenant Field, I have called you here because I have received some news from Princess Celestia" Princess Cadence said walking down the step from her throne.
"It seems some of Queen Chrysalis royal guards have left her side and wants to come join ours," Shining armor replied after
"Are you going to let them?" I asked in a nervous tone
"That's why I called you here" Princess Cadence replied
" I need you and some of the other guards to go to the old Canterlot castle that is where they agreed to meet us," Shining Armor said walking over to me.
Even though I had a bad feeling about this, I agreed to go. Princess Cadence walked out with me and whispered in my ear.
"Their captain will be there, though my Shining Armor wont be there I need you be brave and strong." The pink alicorn gave me a smile
I nodded bowing to her, then took to the sky. I flew to my home where my brother and best friend staid both crystal guards. Speedy, my brother a black pegasi with yellow mane and tail then Metal Feather, my best friend a gray unicorn with Frosty blue mane and tail.
I walked to the kitchen seeing Metal Feather with half his body in the fridge, like always. Metal apparently heard my groan of frustration and threw his head up into the ceiling of fridge. The stallion fell back and clenched his head, saying "owie" multiple times.
"Metal Feather, how many times have I told you to not leave the fridge open," I said walking over closing the door shut
Metal Feather whimpered and looked at me with big puppy eyes "owie, Field," Metal whined to me
I gave a terrified look "stop making that face, it freaks me out!"
Metal stopped whining and got up sitting at the table, "so what did Princess Cadence and Captain say to you?"
I had my back turned to him, I bit my lip "well.." I stopped talking for a few seconds then sighed "The Princess and Captain told me that me and other guards have to go to the old Canterlot Castle to bring changelings that stopped ruling under their Queen to come and join us" I took a deep breathe and panted lightly then took another deep breathe in. "And I need you and Speedy to come with, because you two are the only two I trust the most but I don't trust what those changelings would do," I finally stopped talking breathing heavily.
Metal Feather had his eyes wide open trying to process in his brain on what I just said. He then relaxed and made a goofy grin "of course we'll go you know my magic is strong enough so if any danger occurs, you know I'll be there to help."
I smiled and sighed in relief "thank you, I should go tell Speedy"
"Already heard big brother," Speedy said as he walked in, "I'd be more than happy to go."
I smiled at them both giving them a quick nod, "let's get ready then, we need to be there by midnight."
The two stallions got up and walked to their rooms putting on their gear. I waited outside until they got ready to go, Metal Feather walked out and nudged by shoulder making me jump lightly.
"You okay, dude?" The unicorn stallion asked with concern in his voice
I made a smile and sighed "Of course, I am! Who do you take me for?" I answered back
"Just don't get too worked up before meeting them, they may be actually nice," He responds then chuckles "for a changeling? That's a blessing."
I laughed lightly at the comment then saw my brother who flew down in front of us and did a 'I'm awesome' pose "come on, lets go!" he cheered
Since Metal couldn't fly we had to take a royal carriage that the princess lent us, Metal sat in the carriage but up in the front close to us as Speedy and I got hooked up to the carriage. After my brother and I got hooked up then we took off into the sky, Speedy wasn't as strong as I was so I had to put in some extra muscle, which hurt quite a bit. Also, I wasn't as fast Speedy either so he had a fly at a normal speed which actually made him whine and fidget in the sky.
"We're almost there, guys" Metal reassured us, which made us smile in relief "you guys are doing great just hold out a little bit longer and we can walk the rest of the way to the castle.
After sometime we all noticed the old Canterlot castle, Speedy and I both landed next to the bridge just before the castle. Metal helped by unhooking us and Speedy fell over panting, this was his first time dragging a carriage behind him, I was so proud of him but my muscles ached so all I could think about was rest. Metal Feather took off Speedy's helmet and laid a wet rag on his forehead cooling him down, I watched then leaned back on a rock near me and relaxed.
"It's almost midnight, we should relax and we can be rested up before we meet them, so we don't show weakness" I said towards the two in front of me, Metal Feather nodded and Speedy made a grunt in approval. I looked up at the moon and stared at the twinkling stars, I then thought to myself.
"Meeting up with our once enemies. I don't know if I can trust them, I guess we'll wait and see."

The moment Speedy caught his breathe and was able to stand without falling, we started to make our way towards the castle. The bridge squeaked and creaked until we reached the other side, as we walked inside the only sound we heard was the sound of our hooves tapping on the ground. We kept quiet none of us making a word, until we heard whispering and laughing, Speedy suddenly tripped over a bucket and make a huge crash. The noises and stopped and I turned to see Metal Feather picking up Speedy, I turned back to see shadows walking towards us. Metal Feather puffed out his chest and Speedy got up brushing himself off, we all then saw a Changeling, she was tall almost as tall as her Queen. Her mane and tail was a dark orange and it was wrapped in a ponytail, her horn was like a lighting bolt that bent backwards, her eyes were different shades of orange and she wore huge body armor , she must be the captain. Her eyes her fixed on me she looked like she was about to attack me but, the complete opposite, she bowed to me. I stood staring and when she brought her head back up to see me her eyes were kind but she still showed strength.
"Lieutenant Field, " she spoke "It's an honor to meet you, we were about to think you wouldn't show up. I am a Captain Meta."
"it's a pleasure to meet you , but I was expecting more than just one." I responded
Her eyes looked to the side she then turned her head "there is more, come on out"
All of us looked behind Captain Meta and saw a little changeling filly with a curly light blue mane running out and behind the Captain's foreleg, following what was look to be an older brother of the filly, he was still a young colt though. "This is Evala and Alteris, after our Queen came back to hive after the wedding, she was angered and took out her anger on the changelings. They lost their mother and they have no where else to go."
I stared at the little changelings with sadness in my eyes but, as I looked up to speak to Captain Meta I saw her. She was changeling mare, her eyes were like, two blue crystals and her mane was as white as snow. She looked up towards me and part of her hair covered her right eye, she smiled lightly and we both began to blush.
"This is my half-sister, Silkana" Captain Meta said
After the four were introduced Evala started to play around with Metal Feather's tail, he leaned his head down and looked upside down as the changeling she giggled and laughed hiding behind the stallion's leg. He looked around his body and blew air into the filly's ear and she screamed in laughter running around Metal's body playing hide n seek with his body. I smiled at the two and I heard a soft laugh next to me, I turned quickly and saw Silkana, I blushed harder as she spoke and it felt as if music was hitting my ears.
"This is the first time Evala has laughed ever since her mother passed away, her brother on the other hoof, " she spoke then turned to look at Alteris with Speedy talking to him. "Alteris hasn't spoken since their mother's death, your friends might be what our small rebel family needed." she turned and made a smile
"I'm Cream Field, the stallion is Metal Feather and over there is my brother Speedy," I responded after her, clearing my throat lightly
Captain Meta sighed "well we should be heading back to your Kingdom, I must meet the Princess and the your Captain."
I nodded, "lets go."
We all exited the Canterlot castle and walked over the bridge to the carriage that the three of us arrived in, I stood waiting to be hooked up but Silkana was hooked up by Captain Meta. I stared she then looked at me and smiled as Metal Feather started to hook me up to the carriage.
"I'm stronger than I may appear" Silkana grinned
The rest got into the carriage and he started to take off into the sky, and Silkana put more weight into the carriage until we shared the same amount of strength into pulling the carriage. I had a permanent smile on my face then I started to think to myself which made my smile vanished.
"She's a changeling, I am a pegasus pony. Their kind tried to take over Canterlot and almost take the love away from Equestria, but there's something about these four. They don't feel like a threat and I wasn't casted under Silkana's love spell, Speedy seems to take a liking to Captain Meta and Alteris, also Metal Feather would be a great step-father to Evala. Maybe just maybe, these changeling aren't like the rest, maybe they just want to be treated the same as us pony kind."
After my blanking out I came back to see we were at the Crystal Kingdom boarders, upon arrival the sun was rising in the distance and my Princess and Captain with some crystal guards standing beside them, outside. We flew down and stopped the carriage as Princess Cadence opened her wings and started to walk towards us with Shining Armor close behind. As Silkana was unhooked, her and the other three stood in-front of the Princess and bowed in respect. I looked at Shining Armor and didn't a strong salute as did Speedy and Metal Feather, I then looked over and saw the Princess bowing which I was really surprised. Captain Meta leaned up after the Princess did and looked towards my Captain.
"Captain Shining Armor," she saluted "It's a pleasure meeting you, I am Captain Meta, the captain of the Hive guards. This is Silkana, Alteris, and Evala"
"Wow, only the four of you?" Princess Cadence responded in confusion
"We were the only ones to make out with out being captured and imprisoned for going AWOL, luckily Silkana was here to cast spells to trick the others into thinking we went through another opening in the Hive," Captain Meta spoke.
The Princess was about to speak until we all heard a scream/laugh every pony turned to see Metal Feather playing with Evala. The stallion picked the changeling filly up with his nose and threw her up in the air lightly catching her again. The pink alicorn just simply smiled and didn't bother asking anymore questions.
"Captain Meta, you and your group will sleep in the Kingdom until we can build a home for you four," the Princess smiled and started to walk into the crystal castle.
Silkana, Captain Meta, and Alteris started to following the Alicorn but they turned back to see Evala with Metal Feather still "I don't wanna go without, Metal."
The stallion leaned down and nuzzled the filly "I'll come visit you the moment your eyes open, okay?"
The filly giggled and ran to the other three following them into the castle. I smiled and we were dismissed by our captain, the three of us went back to the house and Metal Feather went straight to the kitchen, like always. Speedy flew upstairs after saying his 'good nights' and went to bed. I took off my armor and hung it up on the wall, then entered the kitchen where Metal was making a small meal to eat. I sat at the table then closed my eyes and started to think about Silkana and her beautiful smile. I threw my eyes open as a plate of hay fries was laid in front of me, Metal chuckled lightly and started the eat as I did too. We didn't speak through the rest of the meal until we both felt as if we would fall in slumber. We said our "nights" and went to our rooms, I laid on my bed under the covers and snuggled into a ball falling into a deep sleep.
I opened my eyes but saw I was in a dream, no, it didn't feel like a dream, it felt as if it was a nightmare. I looked around the saw a green wisp of light down a tunnel. I walked over to it cautiously then heard a laugh, but not a happy laugh, like a evil sinister laugh. The tiny wisp turned into a huge green flame, I turned away closing my eyes, turning back I saw Queen Chrysalis she grinned and laughed loudly. I backed up as she walk forward her horn started to light up in a green flame but her eyes widened and she bursted into bubbles and I saw Princess Luna.
"Princess Luna" I gasped out
"You seem to be having a troubled nightmare," Princess Luna calmly said " Your nightmare is your worst fear am I correct?"
I nodded to the Princess
"Why might you be having this nightmare?" before I could speak or even wanted to she spoke again "Is it because you have fallen for a Changeling?" Silkana appeared as a hologram and she smiled but vanished"Is it because since you have fallen for her, the Queen might take her revenge?"
I didn't know what to say I put my head down in shame but a hoof lifted my head up, "you did nothing wrong, Cream Field. You're letting your imagination run with you, I am the night princess you must remember that even if there is trouble, my sister and Twilight will be here to help. If you wanted it."
I wasn't able to get another word in until I woke up, I looked around my room and sighed closing my eyes again.

Author's Note
The names for the changelings is what took me awhile into the making this chapter Evala is Evolution Captain Meta is Metamorphosis Silkana is like a Silk worm Alteris is Alteration All these words are other words for Metamorphosing. Also I did a little Changeling species thing, only the mares and filly's have manes, tails and detailed eyes, the colts have the normal body structure from the series.

When the afternoon arrived, I finally managed to crawl out of bed; I knocked on Metal Feather's door. No one came to the door, I peeked my head in the room and saw it was empty, and then I knocked on Speedy's door, no answer."Where is every pony?" I asked myself Cream Field,
Speedy and I didn't bother waking you up so we left to play with the changelings. Captain said to not put on your armour because he wants us to make the changelings feel at home.
I was almost finished putting on my armour and groaned at the line, I took it all off and walked outside flying to the Crystal Kingdom. Upon arrival I was escorted inside to the Dining Room, when the doors opened I was greeted with "hellos" and "good mornings." I sat down next Speedy and across from Silkana, who was using her magic to light up her fork with eggs at the end of it. I was given a plate of food and started to eat myself, I turned to see Evala decorating Metal Feather's face with random colors of paint. Metal Feather dipped his hoof into a paint tin and splodged Evala's nose with the paint who, giggled and clapped her hooves together. I turned to look at the Princess who stood up and clanked her glass quieting all of us.
"Lieutenant Field, I would like for you to know that you will be having two new members living in your home," she smiled to me. "Metal Feather has adopted Evala and Alteris."
Every pony clapped and Speedy cheered flying in the air as Alteris stared at the flying pony. When Speedy started to land he accidentally bumped into Captain Meta who spilled her drink on herself. Everyone then became silent but, Captain Meta started to laugh and the tension in the room was lifted. After lunch/breakfast was finished we all went outside to the field and get some exercises in.
I watched as Captain Meta dragged over some heavy weights to where Silkana stood who, was relaxed as she stretched her body. Silkana's horn lit up in a silver color, the first weight she picked was simple but as she kept going the weights got more and more difficult. The others stood in "awe" as Silkana raised the weights above her and she started to make them spin, I watched as the weights spun faster and faster. Silkana fluttered her wings she soared lighting quick through the spinning weights then the circle got small each and every time Silkana went through. I opened my wings lightly almost ready to catch her if she hurt herself; Silkana then slowed the weights down then landed. I lowered my wings as Captain Meta and Captain Shining Armour went to praise her, I walked over and smiled as she panted and smiled back.
"You should meet my sister, Silkana!" Shining Armour smiled "Maybe you two can use your magic together and make a light show."
"Of course, is that a problem?"
I could clearly see that Silkana had stage fright but with a beautiful face like hers why wouldn't she want to show it off? Shining Armour then finally figured out what was going on and simply nodded, then Captain Meta and him began to walk around the track. I then walked over to Silkana who had her head down still slightly panting, she then looked up at me and she smiled.
"That was amazing" I said to her as I saw a cute little blush creep onto her cheeks
"I was Queen Chrysalis's apprentice" her smiled dispersed and she lowered her head lightly "That's why I am able to do the magic I can do, it’s because I was supposed to take over the Hive after she stepped down from her throne. I practiced so much for her, I was her prized student, the apple of her eye is what you pony-folk call it. "
"Why did you leave then?" I asked she then sat down and looked up at me
"Because, she was no longer my mentor all I could see was a monster," the wind started to blow and she faced the direction the wind was flowing. Her eyes were filled with tears but, she blinked them away trying so hard not to cry in front of me.
We both heard giggles and looked at Metal Feather and Evala who were running around playing through the hoops, I then saw Speedy and Alteris race by. Everyone stopped to see the two ponies neck and neck racing around the track passing by the two Captains, they both stopped and dust scattered everywhere. We all ran over to see Alteris and Speedy side by side both hooves touching the finish line, Speedy danced up and down and screamed "yippee" as Alteris watched. I stood and smiled as Silkana and Evala congratulated Alteris, he wanted to smile, I could see it but the poor colt just needed a little more persistence. Metal Feather ruffled his step-son's mane with his hoof then picked Evala up on his head and she laid her head next to his horn, yawning lightly.
"I need to take this little filly to bed for her afternoon nap" Metal Feather smiled "You can come too Alteris, if you wish"
"Wanna race again?!" Speedy jumped up spreading his wings
With a nod from the quiet changeling both took off around the track again, I looked over to see Silkana who had a permanent smile on her face. I was about to speak until Speedy and Alteris stopped beside us, both panting but Speedy cheering and hoping up and down. I then looked at Alteris and saw his tail lightly wagging, Captain Meta came over and took Speedy away putting him on the track next her. She grinned and her wings started to flutter, we all went silent, Speedy smiled and got into his pose flapping his wings. With a sound of Shining Armour’s "GO!" the two took off, Captain Meta and Speedy raced down the field at lighting speed, as a faint trail of lighting appeared from behind Speedy. The dust scattered and both ponies reached the finish line, sweat beating off them, Silkana ran over to check where the hooves were placed.
"Captain Meta wins!" Silkana cheered fluttering her wings quickly
My brother simply nodded and Princess Cadence walked down from the stage and smiled "That was amazing, I've never seen any pony faster than Speedy. Captain Meta I would be very grateful if you would you stay as your rank and be Captain of the royal guards. Shining Armour needs to stop being a Captain and be a prince for the Kingdom."
Upon hearing this I knew that Meta would be my captain, and truthfully I was okay with this, of course others would think why I wouldn't captain? Well, I like being a Lieutenant, and a Lieutenant I'll stay. Captain Meta bowed to the Prince and Princess and walked over to me and Silkana who couldn't stop congratulating the tall mare. Silkana then jumped up and hugged her half-sister, both swirling around hugging.
After what happened Speedy, Alteris, and I walked home where Metal and Evala were walking out the door. Speedy jumped up and flew over the gray stallion telling the news to him, he seemed thrilled and Evala skipped around cheering. We walked passed the three as Alteris and I walked inside, Alteris stood near the couch and looked around as I watched him.
"Alteris, you can sleep in a room by yourself or you sleep in a room with one of us" I told the changeling who simply bowed his head. I walked over him and sat down in front of him fixing his mane "Alteris, I am not going to say that I know your pain of losing a mother but I do know your mother would want you to move on. You not smiling and not talking is hurting her, knowing that you're not happy."
Alteris opened his mouth and lightly spoke "It's not that I don't want to be happy I just forgot how to." The colt looked up at him with dark green eyes "That's why I like being around your brother, he smiles all the time and he is so happy." He lifted up his hoof and put it to his chest closing his eyes "I want to know what that feels like again."
I smiled the whole time he spoke then hugged him tightly "I know two ponies that can make others smile, that's Pinkie Pie and Speedy. Pinkie Pie isn't around so Speedy will be the pony to make you laugh and smile again."
Speedy ran in and jumped on Alteris, almost making the changeling fall over "I can make you smile, Alteris. We can start now!!"
"Smiling is easy, just follow my lead" Speedy spoke then started with simple lip curl and Alteris did the same. The small lip curl turned into a small smile and Alteris followed the lip movement and we all clapped our hooves. Alteris smiled to us then the smile he made grew and grew until the changeling in front us was making a huge smile like Speedy's. Speedy hopped up and down then Alteris followed and started to laugh, his eyes widened and they changed from a dark green to a light crystal green then his body began to light up and shine. He stopped and my eyes widened to see it was just like our crystal bodies, we never kept ours crystal bodies shining unless we were in a meeting or showing off our ranks to others. Alteris looked at his entire body then smiled towards me then to Speedy who he hugged tightly.
"You did it big brother!!" Evala cheered and ran over who was picked up by Alteris and hugged tightly, then I saw a blue shiny stream flowing from his eyes. Metal grabbed my waist and picked up me and the others hugging them tightly, he let Speedy and I go but kept hugging Alteris and Evala nuzzling them both.
When the hug ended Metal wiped his tears away and walked into the kitchen to make dinner, Evala and Alteris decided to help while Speedy and I moved another bed into the black colt’s room. At the same time the bed was fixed dinner had finished and all of us dug into the food in front us. Evala and Metal went outside as the sun began to lower itself to make way for the moon the rise, the rest of us followed and watched the moon rise then we saw the stars form. Evala giggled as fireflies lit up around us and jumped up flying lightly off the ground following them. Metal Feather was close behind making sure she didn't hurt herself, Speedy and Crystal Alteris flew up into the sky running through bundles of fireflies.
My ears perked lightly as I heard a faint melody, my curiosity got the best of me and I followed the beautiful sound.

I walked away from my friend's laughter, following the sound of the beautiful singing. I walked to the borders of the Crystal Kingdom and saw the Crystal Tree that blossomed only on full moons, tonight was that night. I walked to the tree and peaked around the edge seeing Silkana dancing lightly as the petals flew around her almost dancing with her.
"The magic will never dispersed, For I will be your spark. The love will never fade, For it will always light the dark.
My Love, I will always be there, Please don't hate me. My Spark, will never leave you, I want you to see.

The sun will always shine, It will always been there. The sun may leave the skies, But I will always be your mare.

The petals began to calm and a huge rose blossom flew into her hair staying there as a smile never left her face. I was suddenly pushed by a gust of wind and our eyes widened as our noses pushed against each other. Silkana didn't move and neither did I, her cheeks were a dark red as my hoof laid on hers. Silkana opened her wings and the petals pushed against them as she lightly flew around, I was given same treatment but a little rougher. I flew right behind her as the mare in front of me flew into the clouds as did I, she slowed down and the clouds were clumped together but seemed to move so they didn't cover the moon. Silkana landed on the cloud and looked back at me as I landed beside her. The clouds broke apart slowly, her and I stood on a cloud that barely big enough for two. I saw as she laid down and I followed behind her, our bodies were close together and she laid her head on the crook of my neck. I laid my head on hers wrapping wing around her body, I felt her snuggle into my touch and she closed her eyes. Silkana opened her eyes and stood up, she looked down at me then started to fly in a different direction. I jumped up and flew right behind her, she looked back then turned her body around and flew backwards. I got close to her and our faces were so close, she nuzzled her muzzle against mine and I blushed lightly then started to fly wobbly. She giggled at me and flew right beside me pushing her body close against mine, I watched her and we started to fly lower. We landed in the far outskirts of the Kingdom in a field; Silkana saw the fireflies and she sat down watching them.
“So, Cream Field? Tell me about your life" Silkana smiled looking into my eyes
"Then what happened" Silkana asked, she was so intrigued on my life and I laid down on the ground continuing.
"When I was still a teen colt, the whole Crystal Kingdom and King Sombra happened and that's when Speedy never stopped smiling. Speedy was just like Alteris, but now the pony just loves to make every pony smile." I smiled at the mare who had her head on her foreleg listening.
"Why did you want to be a royal crystal guard? How did you become lieutenant?" Silkana asked
"I wanted to be a guard because all I wanted to do was to protect others. To make sure nothing like this would happen ever again, to my friends or family or the ponies of the Crystal Kingdom. Speedy was so excited about me going to the Royal Schools that he wanted be one too."
"What was is it like being in the school?" the mare asked
"Just like any other school" I responded "It wasn't easy but we did it, in our second year we met Metal Feather who was in his fourth year. Metal Feather was the toughest in his class, Speedy was the fastest in our second year. After the school had ended Shining Armour actually wanted Metal Feather to be his lieutenant but he asked if that title could go to me."
"There's nothing really much about a changeling life, I was fascinated with the magic my Queen was using but I thought there was more. I stole books from libraries across Equestria ever since I was a filly. I love to learn about magic but being a changeling you're just at as a monster." She then got up and walked a few feet away and lowered her head, I got up and laid my head on her neck nuzzling.
"I don't think you're a monster" I whispered to her
We both leaned back, looked into each other’s eyes our heads got closer together and we kissed softly. The ground beneath us seemed to disappear and we felt as if we were floating in the sky. We leaned back and the ground touched our hooves again, she had her eyes still closed blushing deeply and her head was lowered lightly. My wings were extended as if I was a prince, and they wouldn't lower themselves. After struggling quite a bit I eventually was able to lower them and Silkana was giggling at me, the mare then started to run past I ran after her close beside. Silkana flew into the air as I did the same we danced in the sky close to each other, I kissed her once again and she blushed smiling.
I didn't care if our love was forbidden I love Silkana, I didn't care who knew or who hated me. I wouldn't care if I was stripped from my rank, I wouldn't care if I was banished. She was the pony that I wanted to spend my life, no, my eternity with.
"I love you, Silkana" I smiled to her "Even though we just met two days ago, you're everything I ever wanted, what I need."
"Cream Field" She seemed to well up in tears as a huge smile never left her face when the tears fell "I love you too!"
"We got kinda worried when we couldn't find you, but I sort of had a feeling you were just with Silkana. Am i right?" Metal Feathered grinned at my blush and nod "You look like a teen-mare with her first crush," he teased
"I admitted my love to her" I smiled and so did, he wrapped me into a huge hug
"I'm so proud of you, Cream Field!" he cheered
After the hug Metal went upstairs with the water and I went to my room, I grabbed my pillow and snuggled into them blushing almost giggling. I then stopped and thought to myself "I do sound like a teen-mare with her first crush, time to act like a stallion." I then made a goofy smile and rolled around in bed giggling more.
I love you, Silkana.

Love you ponies for all the support you're giving me. I have so many stories to write and ill be doing a collab with another pony. I want to finish this one before I start on another, because I tend to forget about the old ones.
I'm In Love With A Changeling
A Peaceful Day Or So It Appeared
I was snuggled into my bed sleeping soundly until Speedy threw my door open, causing it to slam. He walked over to where I was sleeping and started to bounce on my bed. I woke up to see his smiling face, making me groan in frustration, while putting my pillow on top on my face.
“Get up, Cream Field!!” Speedy sung and threw the covers off me. “Princess Cadence said she has a surprise for all of us.”
I leaned up and Speedy jumped off the bed and skipped out the door, going down the stairs. I looked in the mirror, shook my head to fix my mane, and then flicked my tail getting it smooth. I spread my wings, seeing that some feathers were out of place. I started to nip at them, smoothing my wings down, making sure they were clean. When I was done, I shook my wings and started to walk out my room.
Upon seeing that Alteris and Evala had their heads in the fridge, I simply shook my head and gave Metal Feather an angry face.
“Oh, good morning Cream Field” He smiled towards me. His bright smile disappeared when he saw the look on my face. “What’s up? Bad dream? Tummy ache?”
I rolled my eyes, “You’re teaching Alteris and Evala to be just like you,” I said, pointing towards the two. “It’s bad enough you stick your head in the fridge, I don’t need one pony and two changelings doing the same.”
“Oh right, come on you two grab what you would like to eat and close the fridge. Uncle Cream Field doesn't like it when I do it.” Metal Feather smiled as they grabbed their food and closed the fridge.
I saw Alteris that was still a crystal pony. He had an apple held in his mouth and sat it on the table.
“Could you make Evala and I something with this red thing, we've never seen anything like it before,” Alteris smiled brightly.
“That is called an apple, their popular in a town called Ponyville. We have them shipped here from Sweet Apple Acres,” Metal Feather smiled, picking up the apple, slicing it.
“Apple? Ponyville? Sweet Apple Acres?” Evala repeated.
“Why don’t you have apples here?” Alteris asked.
“Well, apple trees, that’s what apples grow on, can’t live here because our soil isn’t fertile enough to grow any crops. So we get all our fruits and vegetables from Ponyville and neighboring towns.” Metal Feather answered dipping the apple slices into something creamy then placed them on a baking sheet.
“Wow, there is so much to Equestria! How will a changeling discover it all?” Alteris smiled “Silkana would read us stories about the two royal sisters, but that’s all she could get her hooves on. She would go out once a full moon and try to find old books, but sometimes the books would be too torn to read.”
As Alteris spoke, Speedy flew out of nowhere and tackled Alteris, who laughed loudly. They both started to play-wrestle as Metal Feather pulled the glazed apple slices out of the oven.
He then placed four or five slices on plates, while putting them on the table. Alteris and Evala took a small bites, then their eyes shined, while a huge smile slipped onto their faces. They ate the rest of the apple slices and drank some apple juice.
“That was amazing, Daddy,” Evala said, then frowned. She looked at Metal then looked down “I mean, um….”
Metal walked over to Evala, nuzzling her gently, “You can call me Daddy if you wish.”
Evala smiled, then ran to the restroom with Alteris, so they could brush their teeth. I finished my apples and placed the plates in the sink, washing them. Speedy walked outside and started to trot around, spreading his wings.
When everything was finished we all walked to the castle, where all the crystal ponies were gathered in front of the castle. I saw Silkana, who ran over to me and hugged me. She didn’t say a word. I stared at her for a moment until we all saw a carriage being flown down. All of us walked next to the Princess, Prince, and Captain Meta who bowed at us. I couldn’t believe it! The famous six ponies from Ponyville!
“Twilie!” Prince Shining Armor smiled and hugged the famous Princess Twilight Sparkle. She then pushed back the stallion and started to bark at him.
“Why didn’t you tell me you stepped down from the rank of captain?!” The Princess growled. “It’s like your wedding all over ag-," Before she could finish, she turned to see Captain Meta who puffed out her chest.
“Uh, Shining Armor? Why is there a changeling wearing the royal armor? More importantly, why is there a changeling in Equestria?!” The Princess’ horn lit up as her wings spread apart with a gust of air. The other five stood beside her, angry at the changeling, ready to fight.
“This is Captain Meta. She and three other changelings joined us in the Crystal Kingdom.”
“No offense, Princess Cadence,” Rainbow Dash started, “But are you crazy!! Changelings are what almost took over Canterlot, who almost trapped you and Twilight forever, and almost stole your husband!”
“I know it may seem like an odd thing to do,” Princess Cadence stated, “but these four aren’t like Queen Chrysalis. They are loyal, gentle, and loving. I think there might be a changeling who has been wanting to meet you ever since she heard about you. Silkana, would you please come here?”
Silkana walked over to Princess Twilight Sparkle, bowing in respect.
“Wow I can’t believe I am meeting the unicorn who became an alicorn. Who learned about the good in magic and friendship.”
Silkana almost cheered in glee. I smiled at her joy, looking towards Princess Twilight who was giving a forced smile.
“I was hoping you could befriend Silkana and teach her the magic you’ve learned.” Princess Cadence smiled, wrapping her wing around the other alicorn.
“Anything for you, Cadence,” Princess Twilight smiled. She then looked at Silkana and all of us walked into the castle.
Princess Twilight looked at me as we made our way into the castle. “You must be the Lieutenant? Am I correct?”
I nodded “Yes ma’am. I am Lieutenant Field but my friends call me Cream Field.” I pointed towards the two stallions beside me “This is my brother Speedy and our friend Metal Feather with his adopted the changeling foals, Alteris and Evala.”
Rarity stopped and turned to see Evala, who was hiding behind Metal Feather’s foreleg. We turned slightly to see Rarity who smiled at the filly. “Well hello there, Evala. Your mane is absolutely beautiful! It’s very poufy, it looks like my little sisters’ mane. No holes? How is that possible?”
“That is a good question, Rarity” Princess Twilight said. Captain Meta then walked into the room, looking at her. “Could you tell me everything there is to know about a changeling? I know nothing about them, other than what I saw years ago.” Twilight asked Captain Meta.
“Well of course, we changelings are a very odd race,” Captain Meta smiled. “When fillies are born, they always have a full set of a mane and tail. After fillies grow into mares, their hair starts to change and they eventually form holes.” I looked towards Silkana, who spoke up looking at the princess.
“But when it comes to colts,” Silkana looked towards Alteris. “They are born with no hair because colts are born only to serve the Queen as her workers or army. They were never given that gene when our race was created long ago.”
“Who was the first changeling ever known to pony-kind?” Princess Twilight asked.
“None of us know, only Queen Chrysalis knows and she forbids any pony from reading the documents or asking about it.” Silkana sighed. “I would know, I tried and lost my position in the hive guards. That was just a warning.”
“So why did you come to me to learn magic? When I last saw Queen Chrysalis she knew all kinds of magic,” Princess Twilight said as we walked into the library.
“All was for evil, I always believed there was good magic.” Silkana said, as her and I sat on the couch. “I only know teleportation and lifting spells, nothing like you know.”
“Well I could teach you, but you would to follow my rules and no funny business.”
“Funny business! That sounds like a laugh!” Pinkie Pie cheered, who then jumped onto Speedy. They both started to laugh while making funny faces towards each other.
“Well, it sounds like we all are going to have our hooves full with meeting each other,” Rarity smiled “I must create a design for you four! Although, I’ve never designed dresses for changelings.”
“I might get a kick out of this. Maybe I can make some delicious apple recipes for ya’ all to try” Apple Jack said, while Evala and Alteris cheered, jumping up and down.
“What are you going to do, Fluttershy dear?” Rarity asked.
“Oh I might take Evala and Alteris out for a walk to see the animals. They look like they would have fun.” The pink manned mare smiled.
“And you Rainbow Dash?”
The blue mare just snorted “I don’t know why you all are being nice to them! Their QUEEN tried to take over Canterlot! They could be spies and they could just be waiting until we let our guard down and BAM” Rainbow Dash flew in the air and threw a punch. “We go down like a tower and they have the Crystal Kingdom.”
“Rainbow Dash!” Apple Jack barked “One, Alteris and Evala are just babies. Two, Silkana here barely knows any magic, that’s why Twilight will able to stop her, no offense of course,” Apple Jack frowned at the mare who just simply smiled. “Three, the other pony here with strength is Captain Meta and she was afraid of us when we came this morning and now? We are bein’ rude to them, trying to act big!”
“What can we do to make you see that we’re only here because we want to fight for good not evil?” Silkana frowned.
“Race me” Rainbow Dash grinned “If you beat me then you win my trust.”
The six friends started to argue saying “It was a stupid idea” and “It’s obvious Rainbow would win”
“I’ll do it” Captain Meta said, stepping up. She looked down at the mare, who then flew up and met her glare, more powerful than the Captains.
“Right now” the blue mare grinned.
Rainbow Dash and Captain Meta walked out to the field with all of us following. Speedy and Pinkie pie were still talking about nonsense, still oblivious of the situation at hoof. Silkana and I stood beside the rest the pony friends, while Evala and Alteris played with Metal Feather.
Princess Twilight was up high in the clouds with Captain Meta and Rainbow Dash. At the sound of a “GO” both raced around the field as fast as their wings could take them. All of us watched in “awe” as the two were neck and neck, but the loyal pegasus was quicker. When the dust cleared both of the two were crouched, wings spread, panting, and eyes fixed on each other. Princess Twilight flew down and her eyes grew, she looked towards the two in front of her, then back at us.
“I don’t believe this,” the purple alicorn said “Captain Meta you lost, Rainbow Dash won.”
I saw Captain Meta’s eyes lower and her emotion changed as the blue pegasus gloated and cheered. I then looked down and saw my Captain who had her head low and eyes fixed shut.
“Hey, you flew really fast” Rainbow Dash said, actually feeling bad for winning “I mean no pony has ever gotten close to being as fast as me other than the Wonderbolts.” My captain picked her head up, eyes open slightly. “Look, I’m not saying I trust you just yet. It’ll take some time, but maybe you can be a nice flying partner, alright? So cheer up?”
The changeling lifted her head and smiled looking down at the mare before her. “Okay.”
Pinkie Pie and Speedy jumped in cheering, “This sounds like a great time for a PARTY!”
In the Crystal Square, a party was being held with Speedy and Pinkie Pie as the hosts. The changelings were laughing and having fun. I’ve never seen so much happiness since the Crystal Heart was returned. Evala and Alteris sat with Metal Feather, Apple Jack, and Fluttershy (who mostly talked to them about animals) as they ate most of the delicious apple sweets that laid before them. The rest of us played the games and talked about anything that came to mind. Rarity pulled my captain away into a building close by.
"Thank you, Rarity" Captain Meta cheered.
"You're welcome dear, I have dresses and suits for all of you ponies!" Rarity said as she walked into the house, a smile plastered on her face.
The mares went into the house Rarity walked into and got changed. Us colts went into the other house and got into the suits laid out for us. Alteris had some trouble putting on his suit, but with the help of Metal, he was dashing. We exited and the mares were already finished waiting for us. I gasped when I saw Silkana's dress.
Her dress was glittery silver that sparkled in the moonlight. It had beautiful white roses that laid on the lower part of the dress. I then looked down and saw Evala with a tiny pink ballerina outfit on with a giant bow wrapped around her waist. Metal Feather picked her up and nuzzled her. I walked over to Silkana who was laughing with Rarity. She looked towards me and I bowed, she giggled slightly and bowed right back.
"Care to dance?" I asked as the music softened.
Silkana took my hoof and we pressed our chest together with our cheeks touching and both danced slowly. I looked over seeing Evala and Metal dancing together, while Alteris and Captain Meta danced. Silkana and I closed our eyes, but when I opened them Silkana was looking up at me, smiling.
"The party is already over, Field" Silkana giggled.
I blushed slightly and nodded. We both walked to the castle where the rest of the group was, all laying in front of the fire, talking. Alteris and Evala were soundly asleep next to Metal who was talking to Rarity. Fluttershy and Apple Jack had already fallen asleep while the rest were trying to keep their eyes open, all while still talking softly. Princess Twilight greeted us and we laid down beside each other. Silkana laid her head on my foreleg and my head rested on her head. Rainbow Dash was the next to fall asleep, then Metal Feather and Captain Meta, after Princess Twilight and Pinkie Pie soon fell asleep. I was the last awake and I looked out the window staring at the moon. I slowly got up and made my way outside to the balcony. The moon sparkled and so did the surrounding stars. I blinked, seeing Princess Luna who stood in front of me. I bowed quickly.
"Lieutenant Field" Princess Luna spoke as I rose my head "You have done remarkable work. You have shown Princess Twilight and her friends that there is kindness in a changeling"
I was about to say 'Thank you', until the alicorn before me spoke again. "But Princess Celestia and I fear that Queen Chrysalis will take her revenge and Equestria, I fear she won't only take the love away, but destroy pony-kind."
Fear rose in my voice "H-how can we stop her?!"
"My sister and I are discussing how we can bring safety to all ponies, but in the meantime, do not speak a word to any pony," Princess Luna stated. "We do not want to put fear into the ponies and cause a panic, so for now keep this to yourself, alright?"
I didn't speak, only nodded. She brushed her muzzle against my cheek, then started to disappear into the starry night sky. I sighed, then walked back into the castle laying down beside Silkana once again with my head on her neck and my wing wrapped around her body.
I promise nothing will hurt you my love, I promise to the Sun and the Moon that I will protect every pony. Even if my life is put on the line.
When morning came, we all ate some apple recipes Apple Jack came up with, which made Evala and Alteris jump for joy. After breakfast was over, all of us went outside and Rainbow Dash was teaching Captain Meta some new tricks and moves. Speedy was teaching Evala how to fly while Metal kept a good eye on her. Silkana and I went on a walk towards the Crystal Tree.
My vision then began to blur and the air around began thicken as if I was being forced to lay down. I looked over, but Silkana was nowhere to be found. I panicked and the whole world turned black, but the Crystal Tree was still bright and shiny. I ran towards it but stopped as the tree started to glitch, fuzzing in and out. I gasped to see Silkana next to the tree, her back turned. A giant black pony came out from behind the tree. I tried to run, but I felt my legs weren't getting me anywhere. Then the black pony lit up the tree in a fiery green blaze with its magic and the tree shattered.
I covered my face then looked back to see Silkana in front of me with a blank expression, sporting half lidded, dull eyes. I held my hoof out to touch her face but she burst into flames. I saw the black pony rise before the green fire. I gasped to see it was Queen Chrysalis. She grinned at me and I heard snickers and laughter. I began looking all around me, seeing nothing but her army.
"There will be a war soon, better be ready to defend yourself." Queen Chrysalis cackled. Then everything went quiet and I couldn't see anything. I heard a familiar voice calling out for me. It was Speedy, his voice was in a panic and it sounded like he was crying. I opened my eyes to see a white ceiling. Turning I saw Speedy, Silkana, and Captain Meta sleeping in chairs. I looked around to see I was in the hospital. I lifted myself up, then whimpered in pain holding my side. I saw bandages wrapped around my ribs. I looked at Captain Meta who was staring straight at me, she sighed in relief, and got up setting her hoof on my leg.
"What happened, Captain?" I asked
"I don't know. You and Silkana left the field, next thing we knew Silkana was running back, crying and screaming. We ran over to where you were and saw your eyes were a solid bright green, then you burst into a strange familiar green flame." Captain Meta answered. "We all were so worried you wouldn't wake up, Speedy and Silkana have been here since you were brought here."
"How long have I been here?" I asked
"You've been asleep for four days" my captain said, looking down. She had a smile on her face when she looked back up, "But you're awake, and every pony will be thrilled."
"Cream Field?" I heard a soft voice speak.
I looked behind my captain to see Silkana, then Speedy both looking at me, they both started to cry and ran over to hug me. I hugged them both as they cried into my shoulders, I then started to cry, nuzzling them both.
"Hey there little bro" I heard an awfully familiar voice speak.
I opened my eyes and all four of us turned to see it was Speedy and I's big brother, Golden Luck. The bright golden yellow pegasus grinned, then was tackled by Speedy's hug. Speedy and I haven't seen him since our mother passed away. He patted Speedy on the back, then walked over to hug me tightly.
"When I heard what happened, I got on the next train and came straight here, it took a couple of days because my train kept getting cancelled due to snow." Golden Luck explained himself. I just hugged him again, just happy knowing he is here and safe. "So that's why I'm not leaving ever again. I felt just awful knowing I left you and Speedy by yourself," he responded after. He looked over at Silkana and smiled, "You must be my brother's mare-friend, I was talking to Metal Feather before I came and he told me all about you and my little brother."
"Oh, yes. It's nice to meet you Golden Luck," Silkana smiled wiping the tears away.
"You're okay we her being a changeling?" I asked.
"Little bro, Love is Love." Golden Luck smiled to me "It doesn't matter where you came from or what kind of pony you are, if you love her and she loves you, it was meant to be."
I nodded at his wise words. Golden Luck was always good with helping other ponies. He always knows the right words to say, I think he got it from our grandmother. I snickered lightly to myself.
Even if Queen Chrysalis will come with an army, we have twice as many soldiers and twice as much love.

I just figured out that this might end soon and I don't want it to, Maybe I shall do another chapter will two special some ponies. Maybe the cutie mark crusaders could stop by and say hello.
