Chapter 1
It happened so fast.
Cadence and that colt ruined everything. There were no flaws in my plan. We would thrive.
Now, I'm the last one. I've led them to their deaths.
I attempted to raise a hoof, but my efforts were in vain. Pain surged throughout me, leaving nothing untouched. I let out a silent groan, which only worsened the pain.
Let me die already. I have no purpose now. I begged the silent wasteland. The pain worsened yet again, and my plea grew ever more desperate. Black, chitinous bodies surrounded where I lay, all of them were limp and still. I wanted to join them in the afterlife where I could repent for leading them to their end. A single tear trickled out of my eye.
The day passed, the evening passed, and soon, it was pitch black. Even though I was drained of strength, my exhaustion was greater than it was after hours of hard work. I closed my tired eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.
