Peachy Pie was waiting for Sunny Daze to accompany her at lunch. Normally Peachy Pie sits with just Sunny Daze so there she was waiting for her.
Sunny Daze walked in the classroom with her lunch bag in her muzzle. She trotted to Peachy Pie’s table and Peachy Pie bounced up. There was a question she wanted to ask her. It’s been killing her since this morning.
“What does your cutie mark means?” she asked and ate a slice of her organic orange. Sunny Daze raised her eyebrow.
“You had four hours to ask me about my cutie mark and now you ask me?” Sunny Daze wasn’t amused and Peachy Pie shrugged with a nervous smile on her face. Instead of white teeth, an orange peel showed up instead.
“I wanted to guess,” she replied and spat out the orange peel.
Sunny Daze smiled. She remembered when she guessed Peachy Pie’s cutie mark with great ease. None of the other fillies and colts in class could guess her cutie mark not even her two siblings so why not let it stay that way for now?
“Keep on guessing,” she laid back. Peachy Pie glared in annoyance. Is Sunny Daze serious? Just look at her cutie mark! How is a filly like her supposed to know what’s her cutie mark? Then… it hit her! Who said a filly like her was supposed to know?
Sunny Daze finally sat properly getting impatient now.
“Why aren’t you guessing?” Sunny Daze asked. Peachy Pie didn’t seem to hear her. Sunny Daze glared, “You got until the end of the day okay?”
Peachy Pie then zoned back to reality.
“Huh? Oh ok!”

It was finally 3 o’ clock. Peachy Pie ran to catch up with Dinky, who was walking with Pina Colada, Noi, and Ruby Pinch. Dinky turned to her direction. Peachy Pie finally slowed down. Dinky was the smartest filly in class or the school even. She’s the vice president of the fifth grade body with the president being Shady Daze.
“Hi Dinky!” she smiled. Dinky raised her eyebrow. Peachy Pie didn’t normally talk to her. Peachy Pie rolled her eyes. “Do you know what Sunny Daze’s cutie mark means?”
Dinky stopped in her tracks. Soon Ruby, Noi, and Pina stopped.
“No,” she said, the tone in her voice sounded sarcastic but the expression in her face was in shock. “That was stuck on my mind the whole entire day! Her cutie mark is a sun and the only logical answer is to raise the sun!”
Ruby rolled her eyes clearly not caring about Sunny Daze or Dinky’s concerns. Pina Colada and Noi didn’t care either.
“Are you coming Dinky or are you going to join Peachy on her ‘quest’?” Ruby asked. Dinky turned to Ruby’s attention.
“Not today girls, this mystery’s been killing me for… a day!” Dinky lowered her eyebrows hoping her best friends could understand. Ruby wasn’t amused.
“Well-“ Ruby started but her mouth got shut by Noi who knew exactly what Ruby was going to say, “It’s fine Dinky, just don’t try to be guessing any other pony’s new cutie mark… unless it’s mine of course tomorrow, okay?”
Ruby groaned and Dinky beamed and ran off her usual route with Peachy Pie close behind.

“I got the perfect pony to talk to! She’s possibly the smartest pony in Ponyville,” she said still running. Peachy Pie showed a weak smile then started panting. Dinky was pretty fast for a unicorn. They finally reached Twilight’s castle where you could ask anypony any question you want. Dinky stopped in her tracks once she reached the roots. Peachy Pie nearly bumped into her and made a screech sound.
“That’s a great idea Dinky!” Peachy Pie smiled. Dinky knocked on the door. It hurt her hoof a little bit. The doors automatically opened and Twilight Sparkle opened the door.
“Hi there Twilight,” Dinky’s eyes sparkled glancing at the alicorn princess. “May Peachy Pie and I come in?” she asked.
Twilight smiled, “Of course you can!” then Dinky walked in with Peachy Pie walking in slower for she was admiring the castle.
“My friend is having trouble figuring out her best friend’s cutie mark,” Dinky explained. Twilight nodded listening carefully to Dinky’s problem.
“So we wanted to ask you to see if you knew.”
“Okay then, what’s your friend’s cutie mark?” she said and looked directly as Peachy Pie. Peachy Pie was silent still not believing where she was and who’s presence she was in.
“Oh… um, pardon me princess,” she said and bowed weakly. Her knees were wobbling. Twilight blushed in embarrassment. Did she have to deal with this again?
“Oh no need to be so formal,” she waved her hooves.
“Oh um pardon me again Princess, her cutie mark is a sun,”
Twilight raised her eyebrow. A sun… doesn’t that seem a little intense? She should probably alert the princess on this.
“Spike, take a letter,” she ordered. Spike rushed in the room with a paper and quill in his hands. Twilight spoke some words and Spike wrote I down. Once Spike blew the letter, Princess Celestia crashed through the window. She looked at the damage she done.
“Oh, I’m sorry… I’ll pay for it,” Celestia knew those windows weren’t replaceable due to them being provided by magic. Twilight sighed.
She landed swiftly on the floor.
“Thank myself, I found a replacement! I mean when Sunset Shimmer got her cutie mark I was totally excited but then I realized it was something else which made me pretty angry and now few years later, this pony seems to come along and now I get a 4,000 year vacation to make up for the years I worked… wait, let me see the pony,”
Twilight glanced at the fillies and the fillies glanced at her. Sunny Daze then stood up, “I know where she lives!” she shouted.
Celestia smiled, “Wonderful… “

The five ponies walked to Sunny Daze’s house. Everypony the princesses passed by bowed in their presence. When they finally reached the house, Princess Celestia knocked on the door. A few minutes later the door opened to see not Sunny Daze but her twin sister Lemon Daze.
Lemon Daze groaned, “Sunny Daze, it’s your stuffy friend, Dinky, and some princesses,”
Sunny Daze ran to the door. “Hi there Peachy, did you guess my talent?”
“No more guessing Ms. Daze… tell the princess now or die,” Celestia smiled. Sunny Daze widen her eyes. She started to sweat. She sighed. Peachy Pie beamed. Sunny Daze was finally going to crack!
“Okay fine my cutie mark is…”
Suddenly Pinkie Pie jumped high in the air with some cymbals and crash them multiple times. Sunny Daze finished telling them what it was.
“Oh! Now that’s completely logical!” Dinky said and bounced off.
“Shoot,” Celestia mumbled under her breath and teleported to her castle.
“We’re sorry for wasting your time,” Twilight said and trotted off.
Lemon Daze glanced at Sunny Daze and rolled her eyes. “Whatever…” she muttered and went back inside.
Now Peachy Pie and Sunny Daze were staring at each other.
