After every storm
There is a Rainbow.
"Help" I called as I ran through the forest, trying to get away from something thrashing through the forest. Behind me I could hear somepony laughing, there enjoying it, there enjoying my suffering and pain, as always. Why do they always torment me? I tripped on a root into a puddle, getting mud all over my lavender coat and star shaped cutie mark, I got up and continued to run not caring about the new pain that now shot up my leg.
"Hey where are you going?" A voice behind me asked but I didn't stop for a second. "We just want to play" she said play like it was the newest form of pain. More laughter broke out coming from all around me except strait a head. That is my only hope of getting out of here. But the voices were closing in fast and started to sound like hyenas, ones ready to kill. And being in a dark un tamed forest only made that worse. But I know some thing they don't, we're about to leave the forest, maybe there will be a pony there that could help, or at lest scare them away.
When I broke thought the tree line my hopes were crushed all I found was a cliff off the mountain. Any other day I would happily stop and read my book. the land was beautiful grass blow in the soft breeze, flowers dotted the clear area and witht he wind they seamed to dance. But to day was different, this place was going to be the sight of something big. A bunch of filly's and cult's came out of the forest and blocked all escape routs. And for the first time in my life I wish I was a pagasis.
They encircled me and started to close in causing me to move, closer and closer to the edge, the drop that had to be at least 100 foot drop easy, not to mention the jagged rocks on the side. At the bottom was a lake, and flowers going to the forest, the flowers were every color I could imagine, a beautiful flower filed as a resting place is fine by me. One of the filly's stepped foreword the leader of the grope, I never got any details on her looks, and didn't bother to learn her name, manly so that when I' m older I won't remember her and want to seek her out. The same still holds true now if I was right about her cold heart, then I don't want her to be the last thing I see. I was at the vary edge now couldn't move without falling and my attackers wearing evil grins. I looked to the sky, something that I always loved. It was sunset and the beautiful colors the setting sun created danced in the sky. The moon was beginning to peek, this is beautiful, if this was to be the last thing I ever saw then it won't be so bad. Seeing the glow of a day ending and hope for a new tomorrow, that is what a sunset is, and that is my name sake.
The filly stood right in front of me spewing insults, trying to get a rise out of me, but I payed her now mind "look at me!" She tried to sound big and mean, but her high voice just made it sound funny. "Alright then. You were always the best in school. I hope you can learn how to fly, freak!" And she did exactly what I knew she would do. Rising onto her back hooves, with all her might she push me over the cliffs edge.
I still had my eyes glowed to the sky. The sky, a thing of poetry even now in my last moments it is art. The colors stopped there dance and started to spread, it looked like it was trying to save me, but couldn't leave the setting sun, and in my heart I felt a spark of joy the storm of pain, suffering, and loss. Finally after years of hurt it is almost over. There were still many thing that I wanted to do wanted to see, but the pain was tying me down, stopping all that I love, kept me from friends.
When the thought of friends crossed her mind, things got... wearied, the spark in my heart grew stronger and stronger and was reaching out with a hand to something, something I could not see, something that my heart wanted though I didn't realize just what it meant. Then I saw a shining rainbow shot across the sky, and the spark in the storm started to resonant with it. Why? It was like time was slowing down as I saw the rainbow turn towards me and as it got closer the spark grew in strength and stronger, bigger, happier, brighter, un tell it seamed like my body was glowing. The spark started to spread, filling my body with hope, it flew into my mind, and soul, I grabbed onto it not wanting to lose this un equal felling. Starting to thrash in the air, I noticed the rainbow was still closing in, the bright colors surrounding, waving, exploding from, a cyan pony. It was trying to save me.
The spark was now a glow, the storm was blown away, and the glow took back what was lost to it. The glow enveloped my whole body, it connected to my magic and exploded out words. The resulting explosion scared the fouls that through me down here, there laughter gone as they realize, they pissed off the wrong pony. Even with all the energy exploding out words progress of the cyan foul didn't falter for a moment but grew faster. The light stopped, and the energy crackled out the pony flying to me saw something amazing and got a look of shook and determination on her face and speed up. Now everything was coming back up to speed. But I was so tired from all my magic exploding out of me at once, everything began to fad, the last thing I saw was the foul catching me and pulled up into the sky.

When I woke up I could tell that it hasn't been too long because it was still sunset but the sun was lower, and moon was more visible. The voice of a boy came from behind her "hey your awake" this made her jump to her hooves.
"Who are you? Where am I? What's going on?" A stream of questions pored out of me and I couldn't stop them. Part of me didn't want to, my life just went crazy and this pony that saved me may know more then the girl that almost died. I looked over the cyan colt, he has a rainbow mane and a cutie mark of a cloud with a multi colored bolt.
"Whoo one at a time, first I'm Rainbow Blitz, second your on a cloud just above the castle, and lastly I saw you get pushed off a cliff while I was flying with my parents. Then you got all glowy, and... Did you always have wings?" I was confused. Wings I'm a unicorn, but something grew in my mind, if I'm a unicorn then how am I standing on a cloud? Looking down I saw the cloud which I stood on like a floor, the way only pagesus, or alicorns could do, only thoughts with wings... then Rainbow's comment came back full circle, turning my head to my back, my jaw dropped. On my back was a brand new set of lavender wings perfect for her body. There was a tens moment of silence before...
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" the shout could be heard all over Canterlot."I... I have wings! Why?! Why do I have wings?!" I was in a total freak out, nothing was right, I some how became a alicone. But there are only two alicorns, Celestia and Cadence, I am not a alicorn! so why do I have wings and a horn? That's it I've officially lost it, this is a dream, or I did bite the dust. Wow morbid. Hold on a sec, was my magic connecting to Rainbow?
After Rainbow tried, and failed, to calm me down a shadow appeared behind me. It was princess Celestia my new mentor "what is... " she noticed my wings and looked to Rainbow "could you both come with me? I need to know what happened." They both grabbed one of my hooves as I tried fluttering my wings to fly to the ground. The princess lead me and Rainbow to her personal chambers and said to the guard that she didn't want to be bothered. On the way there way the the room Rainbow turned to me "Um... by the way what's your name?" Rainbow asked.
Right in all the excitement I for got to tell her "Twilight Sparkle" that was when we got to the room Celestia asked what happened. At first I didn't want to tell, I never told anyone what happened to me, but things gone too far, I had to tell someone. So everything spilled out, Rainbow put in what she saw, and did, Celestia turned to us.
"Twilight you are my student and when your older, and trained, you have a special destiny waiting. Rainbow Blitz when I first saw you I knew that you are also part of that destiny, in your own special way. I wish to personally train you for that day, both of you." Rainbow was shocked to get a offer like that from the princess!
"OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD! Yes! I don't know what it is but yes."
I looked at my new wings there was so much more I could learn, I can grow in many ways, this was me wether I liked it or not, so I looked at my mentor and nodded.
This was the first day of my destiny coming and I can't wait to find out what it is with my dear friend that saved my life. My Rainbow Hero.
