Enclosed in this book is a completely true account of my thoughts during the Canterlot Wedding Fiasco. Also, enclosed in the letter accompanying this, is a very important document that I hope reaches you well. If not, send for another copy.

Dear Diary,
It’s Happened! I’ve mobilized my forces and infiltrated the Castle of my worst enemy, Celestia! I’ve taken advantage of a poor Guards love and hidden his bride in the Crystal Catacombs under the Castle. The best part? The bride is the princesses’ very own niece; Princess Mi Amore’ Cadenza! She and some stallion named Shining Armour are having their marriage ceremony in 2 weeks. Now all I have to do is seduce this Stallion and cast my spell on him until I can suck the love right out of him! We will take the ponies land for the Changelings!

Dear Diary,
I get closer every day. I have wormed my way farther into this worthless stallions heart. Far enough to cast my spell to put him under my control. I should write down why I am doing this; beyond the Pony’s and Changeling’s rivalry. You see, Canterlot has the most love in all of Equis, excluding the dormant Crystal Empire. But that aside I have a personal reason. You see I wasn’t always bad. The Changelings and Ponies used to live side by side, passively absorbing the love the ponies gave off. But then that day came. The day Celestia betrayed our race.
You see, my mother was severely ill. But Celestia had the power to change that. And yet, she stood there and watched as my mother died; hurting from her illness. So I have come for sweet revenge! Yes the only way I see to get back at her for my pain is to steal the love of the ponies she reveres and loves! I will steal the power from all that love and defeat Celestia herself! I will deal a blow so crippling the sun will shine dull! See!? I have a righteous reason for this! I’m not insane; am I?

Dear Diary,
There has been a problem. The Stallion, Shining Armour? His overprotective sister has come and seems to suspect something is off. I will have to deal with this with ultimate finesse or see my revenge crumble! I can’t let this happen! It can’t! I’ve worked too hard!
That aside I have a solution. I’ll play her right into my hooves! Let her see irrefutable evidence that I’m using him and then make her seem foolish in front of her brother, the princesses and her friends. She’ll feel disgraced and want to cry. I’ll ‘comfort’ her and then knock her out. After she has been knocked out I’ll send her to the crystal catacombs and lead her to the real cadence and then let her take her rage out on her. After this ‘Twilight Sparkle’ realises that the Cadence she killed is the real one she will take her own life! Taking out 2 birds with one stone! Ingenious!n That’s all for now. I’ll keep you posted.

Dear Diary,
I have failed. The unicorn and the real Princess Cadence returned and stopped my attack. The love of the now Prince Shining Armour and Princess Cadence was enough to blast me off my feet. But that aside there is something Celestia said to me that won’t leave me alone. She said that my mother didn’t want Celestia to heal her. Celestia was the one who wanted to use her powers and save her but my mother wouldn’t have it. She told me the reason. She said “I wanted so badly to heal your mother, Chrysalis. But your mother didn’t let me because she wanted her daughter to grow and learn and knew if I casted that spell than I would have died for her to live on.” And it struck me. All this time I have been letting my mother down. I have been making her sad with my foolish plots of revenge.
And so I sent a letter to Celestia; The first one since I was young and asked for an alliance. Not because I care for Celestia. But because I want to make my mother proud. And so I stand. Queen Chrysalis IIV, the first Changeling in 700 years to be in an alliance with the ponies. And I. Stand. Proud!
Proud because of my ability to make my mother proud. Proud to serve such a great nation. I Hope that when you, Celestia, read this; you can forgive me.

Diary Log of a Changeling Queen
Dear Chrysalis,
I have just read your diary, sent to me with your Alliance Proposal, and I would like to say I am honoured. Honoured that you would send me a complete set of your thoughts and that you could trust me enough to believe what I told you.
It’s all true. You mother didn’t want me to heal her, knowing it would kill me. She knew that Luna couldn’t rule equestria and you could handle her death. And all these years later you prove right one of the few things I didn’t believe possible.
I have also just come to a decision on the disclosed matter. I shall send out a royal decree that all changelings seen shall be treated as equals to any Earth Pony, Pegasus, Unicorn or Alicorn in the land.
On another note I would wish to see you for tea on the Summer Solstice, 12 days from today. The reason for this is that I need you here to accept your Alliance. I, Celestia Solarium Uranos, will usher in a new age of light and peace with the changelings. And I would as you, Chrysalis, to stand with me.
