"Agh... Shit." Frost awoke, searching around for some idea of where he is. Ah, Fuck. Middle of the woods. Perfect. He had now realised that he was laid on the branch of a large tree. The tree was in the middle of a large circle of grass, sunlight coming through a circular hole in the lush green canopy. Looking down he saw a soaked cyan mare, not moving.

"Dash? Rainbow Dash? You oka- CRAP!." Frost was interrupted by the snapping of the branch he was sat on, he fell to the floor with a 'thud' and landed next Rainbow Dash.

"Owwwwww... My wing..." Frost tried moving his wing, but as he did he immediatley recoiled as a surge of pain flowed through his body. He got up back to his hooves and turned to Dash. Shit. Her back looks in really bad shape, if she was awake, she wouldn't be able to move at all. The stallion stood for a minute, panicing on whether she was asleep, or she was knocked out, or worse. After a few moments of simply standing, and dripping rainwater after the incident hours ago. Right. Okay, She's just going to have to ride on my back. Won't put to much tension on my wing... right? Frost moved closer to Rainbow Dash, thinking how he was going to get her on his back in the first place. He sighed, turned around and fell on his hind legs haunches.

"Okay, Now what?" He looked behind his shoulders, he sighed again, and blushed a bright red, he was going to have to reverse and slide her on from the back. He began moving backwards and shivered, as he felt contact between her nose, and his hind quarters. It felt wrong to do this, but somehow, in some strange way... it felt so good. Frost continued moving backwards, and eventually, Dash reached a point on his back where he could pull her on with his hoof. The left foreleg of the mare fell upon Frost's broken wing, making him wince in pain.

"Right. Where would Ponyville be..." He looked around, thinking of where exactly they came from before the storm. Thinking he might know, he heads off into the woods. It could be hours until Dash wakes up. She may not wake up until we reach town. His concern wasn't for himself right now, but Dash. As Frost walked through the mass of trees, he had time to reflect on his history, what exactly lead up to meeting Rainbow Dash.

"Hey Frost! Get over here! You're going to be late for the show!" Jet called from the entrance of the stadium, obviously impatient and tired of waiting for the white pegasus. The Equestria Flight show, all of Equestria's greatest stunt fliers combine for the greatest show around. Frost Storm was one of them. The Wonderbolts, Blazing Pegasi, Lone Wolf. Frost walked into the stadium, taking in the awe-inspiring decor. 'SPEED IS TALENT' These were the words imprinted on the wall. He could hear the almighty roar of the crowds and crowds of ponies sat in the stands. Frost walked down the corridors, each one belonging to a stunt team/pony. He kept walking and finally stopped at the door bearing his name. He walked in and saw the standard decor. Red and gold paint, Frost diddn't need or want this, he sighed and simply put on his goggles.

"Well, I'm next! Wish me luck Jet!" Jet, who was sitting in the corner of his room simply grunted and went back to checking his mane." Frost exits his room and walks towards the pit entrance, his heart was pounding, and began to sweat. Thoughts like 'What if I screw up? 'Do I just leave?' Such thoughts became irrelevant, he was in the middle of the pit. This, This is where his troubles began. For his opening routine, he flew into the air, and pulled death defying tricks that struck the audience with fear, shock, and cheers. This continued until he came to his finishing act, Ice Storm. He flew into the clouds, gathered a bunch together and flew them into coldest parts of the sky. He then circled the clouds, until their fluffy, harmless white became a terrifying black. It was time. Frost flew above the clouds, took a deep breath, and shot through them. The clouds exploded in a frenzy of rain and ice, the pegasus reached the speed of lightning bolts as he continued plummeting. As he continued diving a large bolt of lightning now marked his trail, and grew as he moved. He was reaching the point where he HAD to open his wings. But, due to the sheer speed, he couldn't even move.

"T-T-This is it! GET OUT OF HERE!! IT'S NOT SAFE!!" He screamed as he continued gaining speed. The crowds diddn't move. Was it because they diddn't hear him, or they thought it was part of the act? Frost was about to die, he knew that, but if he diddn't do something quick a load more people will die too. His only option was to pull out, burst through the walls, and die. That's it. Unfortunately, that wasn't going to happen. Jet, from the comfort of his room, had seen the whole thing, and seeing as he'd known Frost all his life, he knew something was wrong. Jet's plan was to match his speed, and slow Frost down that way. Jet prepared himself on a spring in the centre of the pit, and at the right time, launched. He was flying at the same speed as Frost, Collision was certain. For them both, the rest was a blur. The two pegasi connected and, it was like an explosion. A large white light covered the area and the next thing Frost remembered, was limping away from a burning stadium, his body covered in blood. He'd been on the run eversince.

Frost was snapped out of his thoughts, he'd felt a twitch on his back. He'd been walking for hours, and it was late at night. By now he would've of thought Dash would be awake, but having sustained such powerful injuries on her back, he would've done the same.

"Nngh... F-Frost...?" Dash was awake, shivering, but awake. He breathed a huge sigh of relief. Frost felt the mare grip him tighter, he could feel her damp coat press against him, and her shivers shook his body slightly.

"Dash... You're awake... You got me so worried. You got struck by lightning while we were flying, I swooped over to pick you up. When I did I tried my hardest to get away, but ended up getting struck myself. We landed in the woods and you were unconscious, I've been walking for the whole day now." Rainbow Dash gave a smile and burried her head in Frost's damp mane. This had caught the stallion off gaurd, and caused him to trip into a large pool of water.

Frost moved helplessly as he felt himself sink, what worried him more was that Rainbow Dash was no longer on his back. SHIT. He rose back to the top of the shining water, it was so deep, which made him panic even more for the safety of the mare. The colt instantly dived back under water and searched for the cyan pegasus. As Frost searched the bottom of the pool, he caught sight of a particularly bright object under water. Diving down even further he manages to make out the shape of a curled up pony. Frost finally made it to the mare and dug her up under his hooves and swam back up to the surface of the water. As he eventually reached the surface, he began to gasp heavily for air, while dragging himself towards the dry land. The stallion reached the point he could feel his hooves on the ground and waded through the remaining water. It could be too late.

Frost lays the mare on the marshy dirt and on her back. He begins peforming CPR, hoping that maybe he could bring her back.

"One...Two...Three..." He repeated this, inbetween giving resue breaths. After what seemed to Frost like hours, Rainbow Dash finally came around and awoke coughing and spluttering, getting rid of the excess water. She fell on the stallions shoulders and began to sob. The whole experience nearly killed her. Again. Dash falls off Frost and curls up into a ball, shivering rapidly. As if by instinct, Frost curled his body over her's, sharing as much body heat as they could. Dash's shivering died down a little, and eventually, the two fell asleep, exhausted, soaked, and cold.
