Sunset Shimmer is a mad power hungry bully who is desperately seeking to return to Equestria and dethrone Princes Celestia. Pocket Pair is a teenage poker player who has Asperger's syndrome and has had so many failed friendships in the past he has nearly given up on ever finding a friend. Desperate to find a friend, he comes up with a plan he hopes will finally end his friendship slump, find a girlfriend this school year. unfortunately for him, his acquaintance Ralph misconstrues this as ANOTHER attention ploy, and desperate to shut him up, he bets him $100 he won't actually follow through on his girlfriend plan and says he has to ask out Sunset Shimmer. but is he really sure it's an attention ploy or is the another reason he's so opposed to Pocket Pair getting a girlfriend? Meanwhile, Sunset pushes her boundaries too far when she makes fun of Derpy Hooves and turns the entire school against her, and needs to restore her popularity before the fall formal or she will miss her chance to lead a zombie army in an attack on equestria. Always the schemer, Sunset decides the best way to fix her problem is to take a 'loser' under her wing for awhile and prove to the school she does care about them, and of course, the person she chooses is Pocket Pair. So with both of them standing to gain something from the interaction, they decide to hang out, much to the dismay of Pocket Pair's other friend Applejack, who knows full well what sunset could do to pocket pair if she uses him like she is infamous for, but is that the only reason she is so opposed to it, or is there more than meets the eye to the element of honesty? And then what about that rainbow haired girl that Applejack hates who keeps showing up and giving pocket pair a hard time along with her pals from the wonderbolts drill team? Sure applejack dislikes her for bugging her friend, but is there more to her than that? And to top it off, the school Janitor even plays into the hijinks by adding some additional chaos to pocket pairs life ( although this is relatively mild mannered)
