A New Palette
Chapter One
"Okay.. I've got everything I need... I think.." Fluttershy spoke to herself as she was looking at a long list of food items.  
"I got some things to make cucumber sandwiches for Discord and I, and I got carrots for Angel. Applejack gave me some apples, I got the makings for sweets for Pinkie. What else did I get.. Oh I hope I didn't forget anything! I should've brought a pencil!"  
Fluttershy continued to ramble off her list when she heard a soft noise from behind one of the buildings around the market place.
"Oh my.." Fluttershy said as she started to walk towards the noise. It took a good few 30 seconds before she found the source of the noise.  
She gasped in horror as she found a red unicorn; a filly. She was in a small box, tears rolling down her cheeks. The poor thing was all covered in bruises. Fluttershy went over carefully and picked up the filly. "Who could've done this to you!" Fluttershy whimpered. She held her close. The filly looked up at her, tears still filled her eyes.
"Let me take you home with me..." and without a second thought, Fluttershy flew to her home.
"I'm home.." as she said that, Angel bunny hopped over to his owner. He looked at Fluttershy, hoping she got him his carrots.
"Angel, give me a second. Okay?" She asked the rabbit as she flew past him. Angel growled as he hopped after her. The Filly started to look around the house as Fluttershy took her into the bathroom. "Okay, I'm going to clean you up. Alright sweetie?" Fluttershy asked. The filly didn't answer, she only looked at her.
Angel hopped into the bathroom, growling at Fluttershy. The rabbit began to tug on Fluttershy's saddle bags to get to his carrots. Fluttershy simply ignored as she began to wash off the small unicorn. A voice began to echo through the bathroom, "Oh knock if off rabbit. Can't you wait for a stupid carrot?" Angel quickly looked behind him to see that it was the lord of chaos himself; Discord. Angel squeaked loudly which made Fluttershy's head turn, "Oh, Hi Discord. Can you give me a second?" She asked him politely.
The Filly looked at Discord in amazement. "Sure.." Discord replied back. He then noticed the unicorn, "Where'd you find her?" He asked.
"I found her all by herself. She was in a box, I found her all beaten." Fluttershy replied.
"Hmm..." Discord started to think.
"Done.." Fluttershy said with a smile as she dried off the filly. The little filly started to giggle as she dried her.
"I bet you're hungry.." She said as she held the unicorn close. Fluttershy picked up her saddle bags in her mouth as she flew into the kitchen with the filly in hoof. Once she put her down, she started to put her things away. Angel hopped after them and tugged on Fluttershy's tail, begging for a single carrot. She looked down and gave one to him. Angel then happily hopped off with his carrot safely in his paws.
"So... What are you going to do?" Discord asked as he stood behind her. "I.. I don't know.. I guess I'll look for her parents tomorrow." Fluttershy replied softly. The little one continued to look right at Discord. He looked back at her. "I'm not that great with kids Shy.. Hope you can find them." Discord said as he poofed into smoke. The filly's eyes grew as she saw him disappear.
After a good 30 minutes or so, the filly was fed and a bit happier. She was currently sitting on the floor, painting with her hooves on a piece of paper. Angel looked at her, very annoyed. He did NOT like that she was here. He thought that Discord was annoying, but now his feelings changed. But not by much. The Foal was now his least favorite thing here. He sighed and hopped away.
The Foal painted and painted. She really liked it. Happy little cooing noises escaped her mouth every now and then. Fluttershy watched her happily. She let out a soft yawn as she started to pass out. A few hours later, Fluttershy awoke to find her walls covered in paint.
"O-Oh my goodness!" She yelled. She looked around for the filly who was sleeping in Angel's bed. Angel was angrily pushing against her, trying to get her off. Fluttershy sighed softly and picked her up. "Sorry Angel. She didn't mean it." Angel huffed and laid in his bed. Fluttershy put the little filly softly down on the couch. She the got a rag and started to clean off the paint. Once she started cleaning, she looked over at the little one. She softly smiled, "I think I know what to call you for right now little one..."
"I'll call you, Palette.."
Palette woke up to the sound of Fluttershy's voice. She cooed softly at her temporary guardian. Fluttershy smiled at her. She gave up on the walls, 'I can clean it later' she told herself. Fluttershy gently floated over to Palette and hugged her. "You've gotta keep paint on the paper silly." She giggled. Palette giggled with her. Angel rolled his eyes as he laid there awake in his bed. He let out a loud sigh as he tried to sleep.
Palette cooed again. Fluttershy laid down with Palette on her stomach. The filly then yawned and curled up. "Goodnight Palette.." Fluttershy said to her temporary foal. This was going to be a challenge, but a good one.

((This is my first fic. Please give me feed back. This is based off a story I made in school before Dissy was reformed and stuff. I know this is probably crap but meh. And I know this must be generic but meh. I like this idea :3))
