Rainbow Dash opened her eyes. "3,907 days.." she mumbled to herself. She could remember every day. How couldn't she? Always having to look over her back, for the spirits of those ponies, she wronged, might come for her. She could remember the first night. She was at Twilight's room, in her castle.
They were playing chess. Well, She was playing chess, Twilight was lying on the ground. So..... cold. Twilight, was so cold. She came back to the real world when she was nudged by the guard. They were flying... She could see the destination right above the horizon. A tear rolled down her face.
The memory came back... Twilight's rear hooves slowly came into view... The guard looked at Rainbow Dash with a sympathetic look, as they got closer to their destination. She could slowly make out the faint outline of two wooden pillars, and a metal, plate at the top.
Now, in her memory she could see Twilight's Cutie Mark.... The purple 6 pointed star..... and she could hear gargling......
There was a little bit of air turbulence as they approached their destination. She slowly got off of the wagon, they carried her on. The cloud below her felt so soft.... She made these clouds... The Irony.. she thought to herself as she slowly lay her head on a stool. Her tears now pouring out of her eyes like a waterfall. She made this platform years ago. She remembered that cold night. Someone tried to kill Twilight. So the guards asked of Rainbow Dash to make a platform. Little did she know the device they would use to end the Stallion's life. She could still remember, washing his blood off of her hoofs, as they had forced her to do the dirty work.
Slowly the memory showed her the entire scene... Twilight lay there, a huge red slit in her throat.... her eyes blood shot red as she gave a cold stare to the wall. There was a mare behind her with a filly.... It was Applejack, her throat had a slit but not nearly as deep as Twilight's... But you could still see the veins and arteries, extruding from the throat. She was trying to say something but all that came out was gurgling. Finally, after minutes she managed to say something before dying.. "I'm *choke* *gargle* s..rr....y.... Dashy" And as a final attempt to communicate, Applejack, put out her hoof and rubbed Dash's Shoulder, before she fell, cold to the ground. In her arms she was cradaling, little Apple Bloom... They both were crying..... Apple Bloom... Poor little Apple Bloom. If she hadn't been there she might have lived.... But the little dagger, stuck in her chest, ensured that she would not say a single word to the Royal Guards....
Rainbow Dash looked up... she could clearly see now that she was at a guillotine.... she was crying heavily as the announcer told the people of Equestria about the crime that she had committed....
She could remember why she did what she did. She was invited to play cards with Twilight, Applejack and Apple Bloom. When she got there, Apple Bloom was in the kitchen getting food. She walked towards Twilight's door, until she heard moans.... she looked down to the red roses in her muzzle, as a tear formed in her eye.. She pushed open the door and saw Twilight, kissing Applejack. She dropped the flowers and they looked at her in horror. Little Apple Bloom stood at the door next to Rainbow Dash, as she gagged all over the floor. The started to cry and they tried to explain... but Rainbow Dash held up a hoof to silence them.... "I-I Loved you Tw-Twilight...." she said... collapsing to the floor... Twilight got up and tried to explain how she was sorry. But anger took the best of Rainbow Dash. She closed the doors and pulled out a dagger, she threw it up into the air, and leaned her head back... It was perfect.. it was going to hit her right in the throat... but Twilight jumped in-front of her... It was a heroic act indeed, but she did not see where the dagger was falling.
The announcer finished talking and asked Rainbow Dash to explain her reasoning... "I-I *sob* loved her......"
Applejack screamed for mercy, but Rainbow Dash knew she couldn't let her tell anyone. She grabbed the dagger, and slit Applejack's throat. She fell to the ground sobbing and gurgling. Poor little Apple Bloom looked at Rainbow Dash in horror. She cried harder than ever. "I'm sorry Apple Bloom..... I'm so.. so sorry." She grabbed the dagger and stabbed it into little Apple Bloom's chest, leaving it there. She looked at what she had done.... tears fell from her sore eyes as the guards came in, to find Rainbow Dash, playing Chess by herself, next to a pile of dead corpses.
The announcer now looking at her with a sympathetic look. "Any last words?" he said almost chocking as everybody's favorite Pegasus was about to be beheaded. "I-I love you Twilight....." The guard pulled the lever and dropped the blade. But they did not see that the blade was dull, it fell and only cut halfway through, leaving a wide eyed audience, and a screaming Rainbow Dash. Blood spewed all over the stage.. "IM SO SORRY!" screamed the guard to Rainbow Dash in an attempt to prevent her from haunting him for this. Her head fell to the ground because of the struggle. Her spine could be seen and some nerves, and muscle could be seen, torn and hanging loosely. the audience gasped, and some even gagged. Fillies could be heard crying in the distance. The Wonderbolts waked up to her now detached head and sobbed. Her final words still lingered in the air.
"I love you Twilight.........".
"Are you sure?" Asked the concerned silhouette by the door. "Positive. Just take these roses to her and, darling, she will be all over you. These roses are just too fabulous to reject." Said the white unicorn mare behind the counter. She was levitating a bouquet of roses to the the blue Pegasus at the door. “What if she does reject them?” asked Rainbow Dash, her eyes sore from having cried about her dilemma in front of Rarity earlier. “Rainbow, Don’t think about if….. just listen to-” “Listen to my heart.. yeah yeah yeah, I know” interrupted Rainbow. “Ew… No. I mean listen to what your instincts tell you. Your heart can’t talk.” said Rarity, disgusted that Rainbow would think so little of her, as to assume that she would give her the stereotypical, highly overrated, speech about ‘Listen to your heart.’
Rainbow started walking down the street to the new Castle. The Castle was a Diamond, in the light of the stars, shining at all the citizens below it. Even though it had already been 4 months since it “grew” out of the ground, she was still in awe by it’s beautiful, yet ugly design. She used her Element to open the front door. As she entered she could clanging in the Royal kitchen and the sound of pots falling from a counter. She peered into the hallway and saw Apple Bloom standing on the counter holding a box of Hay Cookies in her mouth. She blushed as she noticed that she was being stared at by Rainbow. “S--Worry” Apple Bloom apologized trying to keep the box of cookies in her mouth. Rainbow laughed and proceeded down the crystal halls of the Castle. She sighed as she approached the hall of the Royal Chambers. She could see Twilight’s door at the end of the hall. She now had second thoughts, but Rarity told her that she needed to stop chickening and confront Twilight. Rainbow procceded, although hesitant at first, she finally started to walk with motivation. And then she heard the moans. Loud, moans. “Uhgggggg” was the sound that came from Twilight’s room. Rainbow’s pupils shrank. Her heart sank like the Titanic. She realized what had happened. She could only imagine the stallion in there. She knocked on the door while tears rushed down her face. The roses in her mouth were the only thing containing her cries of hurt. She could hear Twilight, and whoever the other person was jump up and scramble around. She could imagine the handsome stallion playing with Twilight's more....sensitive...parts. The door flung open and as Rainbow Dash looked up, she saw Twilight standing in front of her with a surprised and sad look on her face. Standing next to her was that handsome stalli-a mare? Confusion ran through Rainbow as she understood and more anger and hurt ran through her. Apple bloom walked up to the door, and saw the scene. Being at the age of 13, AppleBloom was a smart filly, she knew what those..pickle shaped toys did. She gagged at the thought of her sister using them on Twilight. She had known for months that Rainbow liked Twilight, but Applejack? Rainbow looked at the two figures in front of her in pain. She turned and slammed the doors shut before anyone else saw. "I loved you Twilight." She said as Twilight stared at the roses on the ground, crying. Dash opened her saddlebag and perturbed a small dagger. She threw it in the air at the perfect angle. Having practiced throwing knives for three years, she knew exactly how to throw it. She tilted her head back and let her neck be right in the range of the daggers fall. The skull was too thick for the dagger to cut through, so the throat was the only other option. Twilight quickly recognized the movements and pushed Rainbow out of the way. She had not accounted for how long it would take the dagger to fall and it stabbed her in the back of the neck, and made a huge slit in her throat. After a lot of gurgling, she fell to the ground cold. Rainbow looked at her with bloodshot eyes, pouring out tears from her eyes, realizing what she had done. Then she heard whispering and saw Apple Jack and Apple Bloom trying to escape the room. Dash knew that she could not let the witnesses live. She grabbed the dagger with her mouth and threw it right at Apple Jack. She tried to dodge it but it cut her throat and she fell to the floor crying in pain and gurgling blood, as her swollen and broken veins, and arteries hung slight outside of her throat, and blood coated her fur. Apple Bloom look at Rainbow with a look of terror and asking for mercy. Rainbow knew that having ilex her sister, if she let her free, she would tell on her. She grabbed Apple Bloom and held the dagger right over her chest. "I'm so....so sorry...." Said Dash choking on her words as she forcefully stabbed the knife into the little filly's chest. Apple Bloom fell cold out of her hoofs. Apple Jack could be heard, apologizing do crying harder. Rainbow walked to the chessboard and sat down for a match against herself.
"I'm sorry Dashy......."
