I'm always bored. Throughout my time (Which I still have a few decades left in my life) I always thought life would be perfect and I'll always be happy. Ever since my castle appeared my friends and I saw good things in the future. Which the future did turn out good with the peace and being the strongest out of the changelings and dragons (never thought that would happen). Yet life is boring since nothing ever happens except the daily small stuff that we can handle in mere seconds. One thing that really makes me sad is that I don't talk to my friends as much anymore even though we all live most of our lives in this castle except Pinkie since she got married and had four foals. I never talk to Rainbow because she's a Wonder Bolt now, Applejack is never around because Big Mac is dead so she does a lot more work on the farm now, Rarity goes on weekly trips to Canterlot now that she is a big time fashion designer, and Fluttershy is well...She still has her animals but she also is available more now that Spike helps her on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. But one friend isn't enough to have the good ol' days come back, especially without Pinkie. Another thing I hate is...Who's knocking on my door? I'm busy complaining about life. "Hello and what do you want." I ask. "I got a letter for you Twilight, is something bothering you?" "No, I'm fine, just bored." I reply "Well I hope this letter cheers you up Princess." the mail pony says to me in a cheerful tone. Great, the mailpony giving me more fan mail. I get to much that I barely read any of it and write back to the ponies who send these. I don't get why they send more. Yet this letter isn't the plain mail I usually get, might be important. Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle You can probably guess who this is since I suck at writing and that this letter is very short. The point is I'm coming back to ponyville for awhile and so are the others, but Pinkie isn't. Meet us at the old deli on Thursday at 2:00. Hope to see you there. From Rainbow Dash ...My friends are coming back for a bit? I haven't seen some of them for so long, I can't wait! Tomorrow's going to be such a good day, I can't wait! I want to go to bed right now but it's only 6:26, to early. I still haven't had dinner either and I need to clean the kitchen. I'm not used to cleaning unless it's my study area, or cooking since Spike usually does. So I'll just make myself a salad and have Spike clean tomorrow. My neck hurts so much, I slept awkwardly last night, but I still slept good. Yesterday, it felt like forever since I got that letter. I'm meeting my friends in five hours and I don't want to be late. I haven't had breakfast yet because I slept in accidentally, also I look and smell horrible because I haven't showered in four days. I was alone so I didn't care how I looked or smelled. I took a quick shower to clean myself up a bit and I didn't bother eating anything because I'm going to meet my friends for lunch. Now I need to find something to do for four hours. I don't read as much books anymore because they're getting boring, never thought I'd say that in my life. I guess I'll go shopping for things I don't even need that much to pass the time. As I walk out the door I see Fluttershy walking over to me. "Hey Twilight. I was just coming over to see you. I just wanted to make sure you're all right and coming to lunch." says the shy yellow animal caretaker. "Yeah I'm coming and felling fine. How about you?" I ask Fluttershy with a smile. "I'm great. I was so happy to hear that the other girls were coming down to see us." "I haven't talked to them in a long time." I say. "Me neither. Do you know if all of the them are coming?" Fluttershy asks. "All of them but Pinkie sadly." "Oh, so where were you going?" Fluttershy asks me with a very courious look. "Just shopping to pass the time, want to came?" "Sure, I needed to restock on food anyway." she replies almost immediately like she has no where else to be. I can't wait to see my friends, it seems I'm the first one here though. I see Applejack coming but she's alone. "Hey Applejack, I been waiting for a few minutes, I'm surprised I was the first here." I say. "Hey Twi, I ain't sure if Rarity will be able to make it, I know RD will be here soon." The orange farm pony said. "I hope they can all make it. Also, I know Fluttershy will be here soon." I say. "There she is, down the street. What happened to her? she seems to walk funny." Applejack says with extreme worry in her voice, I can easily notice it. "I don't know." I reply "Hey girls." Fluttershy says to us as she limps up to our table. "Hey Fluttershy." Applejack and I say in unison. "Is somethin'  botherin' you sugercube. You look sad and hurt." "Nothing, I'm fine." It's easy to tell when Fluttershy is lying or hiding something, especially since the accident she had last year, she can't hide anything anymore, but the accident is another story. "You sure?" Applejack says trying to get the truth out of her. "Yes." Fluttershy says with a reassuring smile. "Good." Applejack says with a tone that says she doesn't believe Fluttershy. "Girls look, Rainbow's coming." Fluttershy points in the sky. "hey guys." The athletic, cyan pony said while looking down at the street, half covering you eyes with her rainbow mane. Rainbow hands me a letter. The letter is definitely important because it is the mail Princess Celestia sends to show the person it was sent to that the letter is important. "What does it say?" ask Fluttershy. I show everypony the letter. Once they get a good look at it they all gasp. It says Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle Twilight, this letter is of upmost importance. I didn't want to send this letter because I knew it would change your life if I did, even if I didn't send you this it still would, that's why I sent it anyway. The dragons have declared war on Equestria. I must talk to you. When you became a princess to 'fulfill your destiny', that may not be your true path of life. I must test you to find out if you are who can possibly be the only chance Equestria has to survive. From Princess Celestia The dragons declared war on Equesrtia? And apparently I may be the only one who can save everypony?! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: In Canterlot (Part 1) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: In Canterlot (Part 1) TO CANTERLOT (Part 1) I didn't get any sleep last night and I have get on my train to Canterlot to meet Princess Celestia after breakfast. I hope some of my friends will come with me if any of them can, I doubt it though. It seems that it's almost time to leave for my train to Canterlot. I wish this wasn't happening and I can just stay in my castle here next to Ponyville...If I'm a princess and have my own castle than wouldn't the dragons attack me, which means they'll attack Ponyville and kill every one that lives here. I better go to Canterlot. I wonder where Spike is? He should be back from Fluttershy's by now. I guess I'll have to stop by Fluttershy's on the way to train station. so I should probably leave now if I don't want to miss my train. "Twilight! I need to tell you something." Fluttershy says coming my way "Fluttershy, I don't have time to talk right now. By the way, where's Spike at?" "That's what I wanted to talk to you about." her voice a little shaken . "What happened? Where is he?" "I didn't want to tell you yesterday but he attacked me. I thought it was just some anger thing since he's a teenage dragon. He attacked me again this morning and now I think he's part of the dragon army somehow." Fluttershy was starting to break down in tears, I noticed a cut on her side opening back up. I walked towards Fluttershy to comfort her and she welcomed my embrace. "I haven't seen him since he attacked me this morning after he ran away." she explained through tears. "Don't worry Fluttershy, I'll fix all of this and make sure nothing happens to you, our friends, and no pony else. I'll even make sure nothing happens to Spike, and I'll make sure he apologizes to you." I say, still comforting her. "Do you want me to go to Canterlot with you?" She said, starting to calm down. "No, you stay here and take car of your animals. "Make sure you tell me how things go in Canterlot then." "I will. I got to go now or I'll miss my train. I'll write to you in Canterlot." "I'll be waiting to read how it goes then." Fluttershy says to me with a smile. As I walk away Fluttershy waves bye and I do to. I didn't pack anything to Canterlot but I don't think I need anything. I trot to the train station getting there just in time. I can't believe Spike attacked Fluttershy. I have a feeling this is going to be a long train ride. I got off the train a few minutes ago and now I have a massive headache. The train ride was fast, and when I got here I felt the same feeling I felt when arriving here during the changeling attack. My brother must be here putting up that same protective field he did to protect Canterlot before. I got here early so I don't have to be at the castle in another hour. I guess I'll get something to eat before going to the castle. As I arrive at the restaurant I chose to go to I see Rarity, the big time unicorn fashonista, with what must be a new friend of hers. I'm not surprised she's here because this is a fancy restaurant and she is the pony who showed me this nice establishment. I guess I'll say hi to Rarity. "Hey Rarity. Who's your friend?" //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: In Canterlot (Part 3) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: In Canterlot (Part 3) In Canterlot (Part 3) Once I saw him I froze right where I was standing. I didn't move, I couldn't move. Princess Celestia didn't say anything to me, she let me process what I'm seeing right now. I don't know why or how Spike got here in Canterlot. Last I heard about him was from Fluttershy telling me she was attacked by him and that he must be connected to the dragon army. Spike is fast asleep, probably put under a sleep spell, I can see the magic emitting from Celestia's horn. I stared at Spike for a minute in some kind of trance that couldn't be broken. I heard Celestia calling my name for awhile, raising her voice more and more yet I still stare at Spike without even blinking, I bet I set a new record for longest time without blinking and using magic not to. After another few seconds Celestia finally brakes me from my trance. "Twilight, I'm deeply sorry I had you come to Canterlot to see him here. I'm sure you know why he is here, but not the full story why." "I still don't get why the Dragons are doing this though and why now?" I look from Celestia to Spike and back at Celestia with a puzzled look. "From what I know the dragons are just angry at ponykind, I don't know why they are. I also don't think that is the real reason they declared war on us, I think..." Celestia explained her thoughts to me, I wasn't listening what she was saying anymore, my mind was filled with to many thoughts it seemed Celestia wasn't even speaking English anymore. I manage to clear my thoughts a few seconds later and listen in to what Celestia is saying. "This war will bring many casualties and probably leave us weak to any other attack if we survive the Dragons." "How will we survive them though, everypony on the face of this planet knows that one dragon is the equivalent to 100 ponies." "I know one way we can possibly survive the Dragons until we can make some kind of peace treaty. Centuries ago, ponykind was close to extinction because of the Dragons, even Luna and I weren't able to stop them. The Elements of Harmony gave us hope by creating a pony out of thin air, a special pony called the Dragonborn who was gifted with the soul of a dragon. This one pony could singlehanded handle a dragon by using the dragons own language. After seven years of war the Dragons offered a peace treaty because of the Dragonborn pony who was killing all the dragons, I knew the Dragons only offered this treaty so they wouldn't be killed and we didn't want to have to kill them. So we accepted the treaty." Celestia's story filled into my mind and I almost couldn't believe it, but something in my head told me it was true. "Then why didn't the Dragons just attack us after the Dragonborn passed away, was he or she immortal?" I asked. "The Dragonborn is a mortal pony. The dragons didn't attack because when they heard the Dragonborn died, they also heard a new one was born. when that Dragonborn passed away another was born again. The cycle continued for two more lifetimes. Until the day I couldn't find the dragon born. When I did look for him or her I sent word to every city and village to send him or her to Canterlot, I also told them the Dragonborn will have a dragon as their cutie mark. I waited to see who it was but I never did so I assumed that the Dragonborn link was broken somehow. The Dragons still never attacked after that. I also assumed that they assumed another Dragonborn was born, until now. They found out we didn't have our secret weapon. So they declared war. But I believe we do have our secret weapon." "If we do, who is it, and how do you know if you haven't seen him or her yet?" I was lost at this point, filled with so many questions ready to burst out of my mouth. I keept them in hoping Celestia will answer them when she speaks again. "I don't know exactly who it is, but I know how to find out." The magic from her horn dispels and I see Spike start to wake up. I used to think he was cute when he woke up when he was a baby. Now he is a teenage enemy, and it only fills me with terrible thoughts when I watch him wake up. As Spike looks around to see where he is, Celestia speaks up again. "Princess Twilight Sparkle, I believe the secret weapon is you." //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: In Canterlot (Part 2) //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: In Canterlot (Part 2) In Canterlot (Part 2) "Bye Rarity. I'll Talk to you after I talk with Celestia." I say to Rarity as I leave her and her friend to do whatever. I don't want to but I start heading towards the castle. I'm worried what will happen because of this war, what will Celestia say to me? I ponder all the thoughts in my head during the walk. As I approach the castle, a line of guards are there. The ones at the door move out of the way so I can pass. I can feel another magic field as I near the door, probably there in case of a dragon somehow got in the city. Once I enter the castle it's completely quiet, no outside noises pierce  through the door once the guards close it behind me. While I walk through the castle hallways I don't see any guards like I usually see, all the guards must be guarding the city and castle on the outside. As I approach the throne room doors I take a step back asking myself if I should just walk away and hide from the dragons my whole life, but when I think about my friends and all of Equestria I would be letting down, I start walking back towards the doors and open them in my magic to greet Princess Celestia. "Princess Celestia, I'm here now so please tell...Princess?" I call into the empty throne room. Where is she? I turn out of the room and run down the hallway back towards the guards at the front door to tell them that Celestia is gone. "Twilight, why are you in such a hurry, what's wrong you look worried?" I turn around to see my brother looking at me with a curious  and worried look on his face. "I'm here to talk to the Princess but she isn't in her throne room and I was going to alert the guards at the door." I explain to my brother. "I knew she wasn't in the throne room but I have no idea where she is now." my brother tells me, he seems a bit calmer now and I am starter to calm down to. I start to think of the possibilities where  the Princess could be at, I stop thinking once the possibility that the dragons could of somehow got a hold of her. "Do you want to check the throne room again to see if she's there together?" my brother suggest to me. "Sure." I say to Shining Armor. We start galloping to the Throne room and as we approach the doors we see two guards now guarding them, she has to be in there now." HALT! Oh hey twilight and Shinning Armor Sir, go on through." Both of the guards move out of our way to let us pass. Shinning armor doesn't follow me into the room though, I guess Celestia told all the guards she wanted to talk to me privately. When I enter I don't say anything until I make sure she is in the room. When I look around I see a Celestia. And Spike.
