Cupcakes: Bloodbath

(Not my best work, but it will get better as it goes on)

It was a normal day in Ponyville, ponies trotted around, talking to friends, going to jobs, and Twilight re- shelved books in her library. Twilight finally finished, and went outside.

"It's such a beautiful day today..." Said Twilight as she trotted around looking at the birds flying in the sky. She roamed the town, not really having anything to do, then something caught her eye and she looked at it. There, was the same abandoned bakery where one of her best friends was killed... By another one of her 'best friends'. She instantly looked away, as tons of thoughts flooded her mind. All the horrific things that she had seen in the dreaded basement of the bakery came into her mind all at once as she gagged. A tear fell from her eye, remembering Rainbow Dash. The mare galloped away back to her library.

"Just try and forget about it Twilight, it was at least a year ago and you shouldn't worry about it anymore."

Twi did just that.

"Could she have escaped? What will happen if she did? Will she go after my friends again!?" Twilight thought to herself.

Spike entered the room. "Hey Twi."

He looked at her trotting in circles. "Uh, Twilight, what are you doing?"

Twilight jumped a bit and looked at the purple and green dragon.

"Oh, um, nothing... How was your extremely long nap?" Twilight asked.

"Huh? What time is it?"

"6:30..."

"Jeez, how did I manage to sleep that long?"

"I don't know. Hey, I heard Rarity has a big basket of gems waiting for you in her boutique." Twilight smiled.

"Why don't you go and get em'..."

"Wait, really!?"

"Yep."

The small dragon took off out the door and Twi giggled a bit.

As the day went on, Luna's moon slowly arose until it turned into the dark night. Spike had fallen asleep, stuffed with gems, but Twi was wide awake, still thinking about Rainbow Dash and her killer, Pinkie Pie.

"Come on Twi, there's no way she could have escaped the prison, tons of the royal guard are guarding her cell anyway and she'd probably get caught if she tried. It's gonna be fine Twilight, everything is gonna be fine..." She whispered to herself as to let sleepiness take her over.

"Everything is gonna be... Fine"

She fell asleep.

She looked around the dark area as she slowly figured where she was. An alleyway. A dark alleyway. There was no light except a lantern that Twi held in her hoof. She walked through the dark and creepy alleyway, shivering. Not from being cold, but the creepiness of the place she was in. She heard a small giggle and whipped around searching for the source, only to find darkness.

"Hello!? Is somepony there!?" She said scared. Another giggle, only louder and closer was her answer. She heard hoofsteps slowly coming towards her as she could finally make out a figure in the shadows. Twilight panicked and ran down the alleyway as fast as she could. Another giggle, somehow closer than before came from the direction she was running and the mare screamed. She dropped the lantern and it broke, leaving her in darkness. The giggles turned into laughs, then cackles, and they got closer and closer until they suddenly stopped. Silence. Twi shook and covered herself with her hoofs. A voice, a creepy and eerie whisper whispered into her ear, and was barely audible.

"I'm... Back..."

She woke up and screamed, sweating.

She looked around, to see herself in her room, and Spike sleeping soundly.

"Phew... Just a dream." She lied back in her bed, relieved.

She looked at the corner in her room, and nearly screamed. A dark figure in the shadows, watching her, the figure bolted to the window realizing Twi had seen her. Twi was shocked and didn't move. The figure climbed out of her window and disappeared off into the night. But there was one thing that caught her eye as the figure climbed out the window, a small glimpse of pink fur had shown in the bright moonlight, leaving Twilight shaking in her bed and without sleep.
