In the huge castle in the middle of the city were the two princess sisters Celestia and Luna who were hosting a visit for the elements of harmony. They were all siting around a huge table with plenty of food striking conversation after conversation. Everything seemed to be going just fine until a guard rushed into the room."My princesses, I hate to disturb but we have some news you all must hear." Of course something that would require all of them to hear surely got the Celestia's attention. "What is it major." Celestia said in a serious tone. "We found a changeling outside the borders of Cantorlot and is currently in the dungeon your highness." After saying that the elements said "what" unison. "Those varmints better not be trying something again because if they are i'm gonna buck them all the way to Wednesday. " said Applejack. "Ugh, those horrible filthy bugs. I really hoped we didn't have to mention them again. " said a disgusted Rarity. "Can you please show us the changeling major? asked Celestia. "Yes your highness." The major led them all to the dungeon of the castle which any pony would try to ignore. "This is the cell he is in right now. " They all looked in the cell with stern faces that quickly turned into confusion. They were all expecting a full grown changeling, but what they got instead was the exact opposite. Inside was a small changeling the size of a regular colt with tear stained eyes and a look of fear on its face. "That's the changeling you were talking about? "Said Rainbow Dash. "Yes we knew it was completely harmless but we didn't want to take any chances especially after what happened at the royal wedding. " "Don't remind me. " muttered Princess Twilight. "What are you going to do with me?" Said a shaky scelared voice. They all looked at the young changeling who just spoke. "Your going to kill me right, my mom always said the princesses would kill changelings without a second thought because your all just ruthless dictators who don't care about other species." That line is what really shocked the mares. Especially the princesses knowing their living things out there who think that way of them. They always thought that every pony just loved them but that think about it, they have made a lot of enemies in the past year. "We would never do something like that. Where is your mother anyway."Twilight said just a little harshly because of her history with changelings in the past. "She's dead. Torn apart by a pack of timberwolves not too long. I guess that makes me an orphan, right." Now this completely shocked them all. What shocked them even more was that Applejack put hoof through the bars and put it on his shoulder. "Ah understand exactly how you feel. My Parents met the same fate unfortunately." Applejack in all her life thought she would say those words, especially to a changeling. Luna after all this time finally spoke up."Where is the rest of your swarm. I don't know much about changelings but I do know they always stay in a group." He snickered a little after she said that. "I can't believe you pony's never new. After that failed invasion my parents and the rest of the swarm did, the changelings completely died out. There are very few of us left and their who the hell knows where." This was in fact very new news to all them. They never really paid attention to the changelings after the invasion except for keeping them out of Cantorlot. They never once thought they were dying. "Chrysalis is dead, my parents are dead, my friends are dead, my little sister is dead. Pretty much anyone that I have loved or care about is dead, so if your going to kill me, kill me now. This once again shocked them all causing a silence that lasted 15 second."Excuse us."Twilight finally said. They moved to another part of the dungeon. "So what are we going to do with him." Twilight asked even though she already knew what they were going to say including her. After settling on a agreement and deal with the details later, they went back to the cell. "What's your name?" Celestia asked. "Roxas." "Well Roxas were going to be moving you to a room upstairs and more comfortable for you to rest up and then you will be moving to Ponyville. " //-------------------------------------------------------// Excuse Me? //-------------------------------------------------------// Excuse Me? Roxas was utterly confused to say the least. He was convinced that he was going to be executed by Twilight Sparkle who's brothers wedding his species ruined, but now she's telling him that he was going to be living among them. He didn't say a single thing and had a confused face on him as they led him to a nice room in the castle. " You will be staying here for the night and you will be moved to Ponyville tomorrow morning." Said Celestia. "Why are you pony's doing this. I know the fact that we feed off love disgust you pony's and that you hate us for ruining the royal wedding. It makes no sense whatsoever. " Then the pink mare he never really paid attention to smiled brightly " Don't you see Silly Billy , it's called being kind and helpful. And let's turn that frown upside-down. " She then started to to tickle all over him. Roxas tried to hold it in, but he couldn't help it, and started laughing. "Ha ha. Please stop it, i'm very ticklish." That made her tickle him even more and made him laugh even more. The young changelings laughter brought a smile on all pony's faces. "Okay pinkie I think that's enough." said Rainbow Dash. Pinkie then stopped. "Just doing my job as the element of laughter, and that reminds me, when we get to town I need to throw you a super duper party because you will be a resident and I always throw party's for new residents at Ponyville. " That made Roxas's eyes got wide open. "No , if all those pony's see's me as a changeling they will hate me." Celestia then spoke up. " "Yes, I was thinking of that and I think it is best for now if you disguise yourself as a pony. Can changelings transform into pony's that don't exist?" She asked. "Yeah actually." his horn then grew green and he soon turned into a blank flank pegasus colt with a green coat and shaggy blue mane. "Does this look like a pony you know. " They were all shocked to see him do a spell like that. Usually colts his age would still be struggling to levitate a ball. But he just did some kind of transformation spell with ease. "We changelings are taught how to transform at a very young age, same thing with any other spell really. " "Wow," Twilight spoke up "when I was around your age I was still struggling to flip a page with magic." "Wonderful, now that we have a plan, for tomorrow why don't we introduce ourselves properly. I'm pretty sure you already know about me and my sister and Twilight." "I'm Pinkie Pie and congratulations because you are my first changeling friend." She then got a ribbon out of thin air that said Pinkie's first changeling friend and put it on him. "Where did you get this?" "Don't question Pinkie, none of us understand her my name is Rainbow Dash by the way, fastest flyer of all of Equestria." "Bloat much" This caught Rainbow off guard. "Excuse me?" "Seriously, how much more ego can you put in one introduction." This had Rarity and Applejack crack up causing Rainbow to give them dirty looks. "A'm sorry Dash, my names Applejack, a farmer at Sweet Apple Acres in Ponyville. " "I'm Rarity owner of carousel boutique and famous fashion designer of celebrities like Sapphire Shores. " "I've never heard of her, and what's with the accent, I understand why Applejack has one, but yours just seems unnecessary " "Ooh, burn." Everypony and changeling were surprised to hear that from Fluttershy who backed away shyly. "I'm sorry that was very rude of me, my name is Fluttershy just so you know." She explained. " Well it's been surprisingly nice getting to know all you but I'm really tired right now and should probably get some sleep. "Said Roxas. "Okay we will wake you up in the morning and give you a chariot ride to Ponyville where you will meet these six and at Twilight's castle. " After saying that Celestia and the other mares left the room letting Roxas to change back to regular form and went to bed. "Wasn't all that bad I guess. It probably would have been a lot worse if it was Shinning Armor or Princess Cadance." He said to himself. And boy was that one hell of a jinx. //-------------------------------------------------------// Oh no //-------------------------------------------------------// Oh no The sun woke Roxas up from the best sleep he ever had in his life. Unfortunately his stomach started to growl reminding him he hasn't eaten in days. Usually changelings can go a week without food and not feel fell hunger depending on their health. And they don't really need to feed off love to survive, they can live just fine a pony diet really. But a benefit of feeding off love is that you become really powerful which was why chrysalis wanted to invade Cantorlot because she wasn't as powerful as she used to be. But unfortunately that decision led to demise of the changelings with only about five percent of the changelings surviving the blast and fall caused by Shinning Armor and Cadence. Since their were almost all males in the invasion. They weren't able to help protect the hives and colony's of changeling from angry predators like timber wolves and manticorns. Eventually it was every changeling for themselves. Helpless young changelings seem to have died first because any parents who tried to defend them would most certainly die along with their kids. But that only delayed the inevitable as most of them soon died later. Lucky for Roxas, his mother was one of toughest changelings and was able to keep herself and Roxas alive a long. But luck always eventually runs out because when they were about a mile away from Cantorlot a pack of timber wolves surrounded them. Roxas's mother risked her life just so her son could escape. After he wandered off for who knows how he was eventually captured in a net with guard pony's surrounding him and dragged him to the dungeon in the castle where they told him the Prince will have a look at him and decide what to do with him. After they said that Roxas was convinced they would just kill him after remembering his mother says the pony's hate changelings and would kill them. and the rest is history from there. There was a knock on the door and Celestia came in with a tray filled with food." I know changelings don't need love to survive, and since feeding you kind of escaped my mind, I decided to get you a big breakfast." She then laid the tray in front of him we will be leaving in a bout a hour, that should be enough time for you to get ready, don't you think." Roxas nodded his head. " Yeah, that's enough time, thank you. Celestia then left the room only to be confronted by Luna. "Sister we have a bit of a problem." "What is it Luna?" Luna then sighed. " Princess Cadence and Shinning Armor are hear and they about Roxas. Not to mention that they aren't exactly in a good mood because of this. Celstia's emotions were soon filled with worry which doesn't really happen that much. " Oh no, this could in fact be a problem. I wasn't going to tell them about Roxas until a little later but I guess I don't have that choice do I ? " Celestia said with a sigh at the end. "Your right it's not." said a new voice. The princesses turned to see Princess Cadence and Shinning Armor. Cadence then spoke up. " your letting a changeling live amongst pony's? Do you not understand how dangerous that could be. He could be some kind of spy for all we know." " We assure you princess Cadence, he is okay. He told us the changeling race is practically extinct by know, there is no way he is a spy." " What if he's lying." This coming from Shining Armor. "No offence princess but you are not very good when it comes to knowing when somepony is lying or not. Let alone a changeling." Cadence then went past the princesses and pushed open the door to Roxas's room. She saw Roxas eating a banana and pony flake. When Roxas noticed Cadence fear struck him jumping off the bed spilling the food on the floor. "Listen changeling I have some questions I need to ask you." she said sternly. But she was stopped by Luna's magic. "No Cadence, your scaring him. Trust us. Were going to send him to ponyville and we'll have twilight send us letters to see how he's doing and if there's anything suspicious he's doing, we'll confront him. Please. Cadence hesitated for a second until she turned around and left the room. "Fine, I'll let you two do your thing. Come on Shinning we're leaving." With that the two left the castle. "Well that could have gone better." said Celestia. "Yeah," said Roxas coming from under the bed." no shit." //-------------------------------------------------------// Ponyville //-------------------------------------------------------// Ponyville A chariot had just just left the castle. In it was Princess Celestia, and Roxas in his disguise. "Hey Princess, how did Cadence even knew I was there anyway." "You see Roxas, Equestria and the Crystal Empire share are arrest reports to see if one pony is wanted in the other country. So when the guards apprehended you, you report went to, so they decided to come too see how everything was and I guest they weren't happy when they found out we were letting you go. " Right when she finished explaining they landed right in front of the friendship castle in Ponyville with Twilight and spike standing out front. "Hello Princess, hello Roxas." Said Twilight. She then pointed to Spike. "This is Spike, my assistant and yes he is a baby dragon." "Hi there," said Spike. "Twilight told me about you and how you were going to be staying with us." Roxas then spoke up. "Actually, I think it would be best if I stayed at another place because I think I would draw to much attention if pony's figured out I was staying at a castle. "No problem, I thought you might have felt that way so I talked to Applejack and her family to see if you could stay with them and they said yes." Worry then filled Roxas. "Wait does her family know i'm a changeling? " "Oh no, they think your my cousin moving heer because of your parents had to move somewhere you couldn't, even though you don't look that much like me. " Said Twilight. "Well, I best be off." Said Celestia. "I hope you enjoy your time here Roxas." And with that her chariot took her away. "Now how about I show you around here in Ponyville and then take you to Applejack's, okay." And with that they were of. There first stop was at Sugar Cube Corner. Where Twilight said Pinkie lives with the Cake's. The minute they stepped in confetti flew in there faces as many pony's said surprise with a welcome to Ponyville Roxas banner on top. Then of course Pinkie jumped in front them with a huge smile on her face. ""Hey Roxas I threw this party just for you so you could feel welcome and meet some of the pony's here. I also invited some colts and fillies from the school so you can meet them before you can even start school tomorrow. " That last part confused Roxas and he looked up at Twilight. "Wait, School?" "Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, since you are just a colt " she then whispered to him. "according to us pony's " she then went back to her regular voice "you have to go to school which is where colts and fillies are taught. " said Twilight. The party lasted all the afternoon. Roxas got to know his teacher Ms. Cheerilee, a colt named Featherweight and The Cake's who made the delicious food he ever tasted. After a while he went outside to take a breather, but was then Ambushed by three fillies. "Hi there, mah names Applebloom Applejack's little sister. She said you were going to be living with us for a while. "Said the earth pony with a bow. "Sweetie Belle, Rarity's sister." Said the white unicorn "And I'm Scootaloo, and we're..." the orange pegasus started to say. "THE CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS." Applebloom then started to talk again. "We're on a quest to find our cutie marks, and since you don't have one would you like to join? " "Um no, bye. " he said leaving a very confused CMC behind. He went back inside and asked Twilight what a Cutie Mark was. After telling him they finally left the party with Applejack, and walked around Ponyville before stopping at farm where he re met Applebloom who seemed to have not been affected by his refusal. He met the rest of the Apple family and was shown to the guest room where he fell asleep. //-------------------------------------------------------// First Day of School //-------------------------------------------------------// First Day of School "Good morning class. " said Cheerilee. "Good morning Ms. Cheerilee." The class said in unison. "Now I have some good news. We have a new transfer student from Cantorlot that's staying at Applebloom's farm for the time being. So please give a warm welcome to Roxas. " She then pointed at Roxas who was standing in the corner of the room. "Now Roxas, you can sit over there next to Diamond Tiara. " Roxas sat down and the teaching began. After about an hour a paper ball hit him the head. He looked around to see who threw it but all the students looked busy working on their worksheets. When he unraveled it it said "Blank Flank" Roxas didn't know what that meant. When he was about to ask Cheerilee another paper ball hit him. This time he was faster and caught the Diamond Tiara quickly looking back to her paper. "Hey what's your problem?"he asked. Diamond simply ignored him."Hey tiara girl, I'm talking to you. " "Roxas can you please work on your worksheet. Now is not the time for talking." "Yeah stop bothering me. I'm trying to work here." Diamond said. By this point everypony was looking at them, knowing full well that Diamond Tiara was just going to get with this like she almost always does. "Shut the f*** up you f***ing b****." Everypony's mouth just dropped to the floor. "Roxas! We do not say that kind of language here. Where did you even learn those words?" Cheerilee said with an angry look. "My parents say them all the time. I don't know why it's so bad." "Well since you're living with the Apple's, i'm going to have to tell Applejack about this. Same thing with Twilight since she's your cousin. And you have detention for the rest of this week." "HE SAID WHAT!" Twilight and Applejack said when they heard Cheerilee tell them about what happened earlier that day. "He said he learned it from his parents and thought it was socially acceptable." Cheerilee said. "I assigned him a few days of detention which is where he is now. However his punishment at home is entirely up to you two." "We'll talk to him about it after detention. Just so ya know that Tiara filly probably did something to him if he said that kind of language to her. Ah know for a fact Applebloom wants to say that kind of stuff to her." "I'll be sure to look into it." "Listen Roxas, I understand the changelings don't care about swearing. But with Ponies it's considered very rude."Twilight lectured Roxas in the barn, being sure no pony hears them."We're not going to punish you since you didn't really knew. And the only reason the kids don't do it because they know they'll get in trouble if they do. Heck I think this this changeling has more balls then all of us combined. This isn't like the time when you confused that hairy guy for Bighoof, is it?" Sweetie Belle said. "First of all, you would have done the same thing,and and second of all, ah don't really know for sure but from what ah hearts from his conversation with Applejack and Twilight, it sounded like he lived with the changelings his whole. The only two things ah can think of reason for this is that he's a changeling that transform himself into a colt or he was always a pony but he was raised by changelings and I think we can all agree which one isn't the most likely." "Sweetie then spoke up. "Well, what do we do? Do we just straight up tell Twilight and Applejack we think he's a changeling?" "Ah don't know, but that kind of looks like our only option of finding out." The CMC walked into the Apple family farm and saw Applejack and Granny Smith making dinner. "Well howdy girls. What are you three doing here? " "Sis, we want to ask you something about Roxas privately." Applebloom said. Granny Smith left wroth a confused face considering Applebloom never wanted her to not hear something they much before. "What is it Applebloom?" "Well um.... is Roxas a changeling? Applejack's eyes opened woe l wide with surprise. She knew her sister was smarter than she let on, but she didn't she would figure out about Roxas this quickly. She eventually sighed and said," Well, you all know i'm a terrible liar so there's no point in doing so. Yes, he changeling. " Normally the girls should be freaking out or overreacting in some way, but they actually took the news Applejack just said very well. "How did you three figured it out already any way? " she said raising an eyebrow at them, particularly her sister. "Well, ah kinda eavesdrop on you, Roxas, and Twilight in the barn earlier today." Applebloom said with a sheepish smile, hoping she doesn't punish her in some way. " Applebloom, how many times did I tell you not to listen on other pony's conversations. " "Never, actually." "Oh, but it's still wrong and you should know better." "So," Sweetie Belle chipped in, " Do we tell Roxas we know or do we keep quiet." "Honestly," Applejack said, "I think you girls need to keep quiet for now. I think it"ll make it uncomfortable for him if any more ponies know about him. And be sure not to make it obvious that you; he's smarter than he looks; I can tell. "Oh he went to the library with Twilight, because she thinks getting him reading will help him get an understanding of how we ponies talk appropriately. I'm sure you girls were there during the incident today." "I actually thought it was kind of funny after I realized what he just said to that brat." They all laughed after realizing it was kind of funny. While Mrs. Cake was in the the kitchen making it. Roxas was confronted by a earth pony filly. She had a purple coat, curly orange mane, and green eyes. "Hey, my names Violet Dawn, I sit in the back of the class in school, you probably never noticed me. I just wanted to say that you had some serious BALLS to call Diamond Tiara that stuff. Let alone in front of a teacher." Roxas was pretty confused. "You looked for me all around town just to tell me that?" "What, No! What do you think I am, some kind of stalker? I just came here to get a cupcake, but then I saw you here. So what punishment did Cheerilee get you?" "Two weeks detention." "Harsh." "One Milkshake for Roxas." Said Mrs. Cake putting a milkshake with Roxas's name literally on it. "You know it's funny." Roxas said picking up the milkshake. "What is?" Said Violet. "Where I came from, there was was this girl who ran away from home. She had the same name as you, and also the same voice. I know this because she lived in the same area as me." Violet's smile slowly turned serious. "Didn't think you would recognize me so quickly, or even remember me." "How about we talk about this in a not so public place." Roxas said finishing his milkshake. The two walked into an alley and when they looked around to see if any ponies were around, they started talking. "First of all how did you end up here." Said Violet. After the the invasion on Cantorlot our race just died away. I'm sure their are many others still out there, but there probably traveling as far away from Equestria as they can. Me and my mother ended up somewhere around Cantorlot when Timberwolves attacked. She got herself killed just so I could live." "I thought Chrysalis only cared about herself." "She only looks that way so everyone else would fear her. So I was found by guards. The ponies took pity on me. And now i'm here." "Huh, I didn't think ponies would take in the changeling prince." "That's because they don't know i'm the prince, and I would like it to stay that way. How about you. How did you end up here." "When you're mother announced we would be invading Cantorlot with her half assed plan, we knew it would be a death sentence. So me and my parents escape the hive and blended in as ponies. We traveled around Equestria and decided to settle here. That may sound stupid since the elements lived here but how could they tell the difference between us and ponies that never existed. Now if Twilight was already a princess when we left we probably would have settled somewhere else but what are you gonna do." "Does any of the ponies know about you being a changeling?" "Nope, they just think we're like them." "By the way, how did you know who I was?" "I only know one changeling who would out of nowhere so all that." "Good point." Violet looked at the sky and got a surprised look on her face."It's getting late, I need to get home. I won't tell my parents about you. I doubt they'll take kindly to you."She then ran away. "It's nice to know i'm not the only changeling here." Roxas then headed back to the farm where he passed Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo who were giving him weird looks. It was a bight sunny day in Ponyville. A perfect day for Fluttershy to be with her animals friends. " Oh, what a lovely day, don't you agree Angel." Fluttershy said to her pet rabbit who nodded in agreement "Hey Fluttershy." "Eep." Fluttershy was startled by the voice and quickly flew to a tree making the animals scurry off. "Uh, sorry about that." Fluttershy looked down and saw that it was just Roxas in his pony disguise. "Oh, hello Roxas." she said flying down. " What are you doing hear?" "I wanted to look at your animals. I always thought animals were cute." "Really? I never took you for a animal pony. Or animal changeling I guess I should I say." "Yeah, I never really talk about it because the other changelings use to tease me about it. They always say that the weakest changelings are the only ones that like animals." "Oh, that's horrible. When I was a filly, the other ponies would tease me about being a weak flier. For the next hour the two bonded by Fluttershy showing him her animals." I heard from Twilight that you got in trouble at school for swearing." "Yeah it was all because of that brat with the tiara's fault." "Oh yes, I hear that she's a nasty filly. She threw paper balls at you, right?" "Yeah the teacher gave her a few days detention. But I also took matters into my own hooves." " What did you do?" 1 week earlier. Diamond Tiara was sky rocketing through the school room. The cause of this was because the powerful long farts she's been having." Oh Dear sweet Celestia what's happening to me." She yelled. Roxas was giggling in his desk holding a super fiber bar. Present Day. "The least you know the better." Roxas replied. "I don't like the sound of that but whatever you say. So have made any new friends in ponyville." " Yeah there is this girl in my class named Violet Dawn. She's pretty nice. She's also kind of pretty, or at least what I assume you ponies think is attractive." "Oh, that's good to hear. It's always nice making friends. The only downside I guess is that the princesses get a little bit oo preachy about it. Especially Twilight." "Good to know." After another hour, Roxas walked back to the Apple house happy.
