CLANG!!!
"Uggghhhh" Crimson groaned as his eye's cracked open.
He looked at the silver clock on his night stand and sighed, only 6:30 in the morning and Blueblood was already terrorizing the castle.
"Really Blueblood..., on a monday?" Crimson muttered.
While trying to sit straight up in bed, Crimson heard another yell from Blueblood.
"GO BACK TO THE KITCHEN AND GET ME A NEW SALAD! " Blueblood yelled from the hall.
Crimson heard the servant Blueblood was yelling at apologizing to him.
"I..,i am so sorry Prince Blueblood! " The servant stammered.
"I..i didn't know you disliked daisies with salad!
"alright that's IT " Crimson said to himself as he jumped out of bed and walked towards the door of his dark room. He walked towards the door and used his magic to pull it open. He looked out of the door to his Right, nothing but the everyday hall with royal red carpet and white polished stone, and here and there a Sun-guard with there ever so stone faces.
Crimson covered his eye's. "Dear Celestia, do you really need to have such polished white stone around the sleeping quarters?" Crimson muttered through his teeth. "i hope my own bedroom get's finished quickly..."
He looked to the left, exactly the same as the right side of the hallway. Red carpet through the middle and polished white stone's underneath it and on the walls. Also guards, but those at the end of the left side of the hall had the slightest hint of annoyance on their face.
And at the end of the hallway at the intersection which forward was going towards the kitchen and the royal dinning room, left towards the garden of the castle. and to the right the throne room were aunt Tia would soon begin her day.
In the very middle of the intersection was the very source of Crimson's so called, "Wake up call. "
Walking out of the doorway of his bedroom towards the yelling Prince and the frightened earth pony servant mare, who was bowing low with her nose touching the carpet.
with collected thoughts and calmness Crimson walked over behind the unicorn and coughed in his hooves to get his attention.
Blueblood huffed and spoke, "Don't you see i'm trying to discipline a servant here?" he said without turning around to look who it was.
"Blueblood." Crimson simply said.
At that the Blueblood turned around and looked Crimson direct into his teal, green eyes and then Crimson just said as cool and collected as possible" Dear cousin, would you please like to explain to me why you are so impulsive in the early hours?"
"Because this discipline lacking servant of nothing can't even get an order right!" Blueblood spoke with an noble accent.
"And what was wrong with the order this mare brought you then?" Crimson said, trying to sound as regal as one possible could at 6:30 in the morning. While looking from Blueblood to the still bowing mare. the mare had an yellow coat and an light red mane done in an servant bun, with the usual maid outfit.
"This lacking mare brought me a salad with daisies in them daisies! " Blueblood complained. "While i specifically had ordered to bring me a salad with Rose Pedals ".
Crimsons right eye twitcht, when Blueblood finished his sentence while he closed his eyes with his nose held up high in the air. Crimson said trough his gritted teeth,"Ssooo.. all this yelling at a servant, and waking up everyone in canterlot, over one tiny mistake in your salad?".
"What ever do you mean with a Tiny mistake!?" Blue blood gasped. "This is not an Tiny mistake dear cousin, this is horrible! if we let more of these mistakes go undisciplined everything will fall apart!" Blueblood complained.
"thats the last straw... " Crimson thought to himself.
"Blueblood?"
"Yes, dear cousin?" Blueblood said, with his nose held high thinking that he was right to be angry at the servant.
"You apologize to this friendly mare right now, and you will clean up that salad that you have thrown on the floor." Crimson said with a bit of tense in his voice. "Because, dear cousin, this has to be the BIGGEST load of HORSEAPLLES i have EVER heard from you!!" Crimson yelled at Blueblood which made him blink twice.
"I have had it till up HERE with you" Crimson yelled at him while using his left wing to point above his mane that he crossed the line. "Now apologize to this mare, and get a broom, and CLEAN THIS MESS! OR I WILL TELL AUNT TIA ABOUT HOW YOU TREAT THE SERVANTS!" Crimson yelled with a bit of the Royal Canterlot voice.
Blueblood was shaking but found his voice back," Okay! Okay!" he whined. He turned to the servant mare, who was still bowing and spoke just above a whisper, "i'm sorry." and with that Blueblood trot off towards the throne room. "he's probably going to complain to Celestia that i told him to clean something... "
Sighing silently, Crimson looked towards the mare and took her hoof which made the mare tremble. With her hoof in his, he gently pulled her nose from the ground making her look at him with a bit of water in her blue eyes. "I'm terribly sorry for my cousin Blueblood, miss?" It took a few seconds before the mare responded with a shaking voice. "My... my.. name is Petal Daisies, p-prince Crimson Night" the mare bowed again but Crimson stopt her before she could do that. " There is no need to bow to me miss Daisies, in honesty, i must bow before you" with that Crimson made a slight bow towards the mare which was answered with an puzzled look from her.
"But Prince Crimson Night, why must you bow before me?" she said her ears drooping lower than they already were and eyes looking towards the ground.
Crimson stood up and placed his hoof gently under her chin and raised her eyes from the ground to meet his teal one's. "Because no pony and i mean no pony deserves to be scolded like that by anypony. and especially not by my cousin." she got an light smile on her face while Crimson kept talking to her with an apologizing smile.
"I can not apologize enough for his constant complaining." as he said the following he got an playful smile on his face, " but i can yell him through the castle if that makes you feel better." Crimson said, which got an giggle out of the mare.
" Now how about you take today off? you will get paid for today, don't worry. it's the least i can do as an apology for my cousin's rude behavior." Crimson spoke with an soft tone and an gentle smile towards the mare. which was looking much happier now than a few minutes ago. "Really!? Thank you Prince Crimson Night!" she spoke with joy in her voice.
"No trouble at all. Ohw and miss Daisies?" Crimson asked.
"Yes, Prince Crimson Night? Petal Daisies Responded with an puzzled look.
"Please call me Crimson, or Prince Crimson. I don't like to have my full royal title to be used every time i speak to somepony." Crimson said with an smile.
The mare bowed slightly, "I will prince Crimson! Thank you once again!" And with that the mare trotted off towards the servants quarters.
While all that just went down, Crimson realized something.
He needed to take a shower.
An nice and looonngggg shower .
Walking back towards his room he looked at the few guards, somehow, they looked happier now. "I would be happier too if some pony next to me was yelling and got made to keep his mouth closed... " Crimson thought to himself.
He walked into his room and closed the door with his blue magic and walked over to the bathroom that was across the room. He looked himself over in the mirror and kept his eyes on his mane which looked like he was run over by an herd of buffalo's, with hair sticking out everywhere and his fur being pointing in different direction's except for the good direction. The only thing that broke the silence was the prince himself muttering," Wow... i look terrible..."
Crimson jumped in the big bath and turned on the faucet. After Crimson washed himself, he turned the faucet off and just relaxed in the tub spreading out his wings so that his wing muscles also could relax a bit.
After sometime in an state of ultimate relaxation, it got time to get out of the tub and dry off. Using his magic, Crimson pulled a fresh towel from the drawer of the dresser in the bedroom, and floated it over towards him which he used to dry himself off with, beginning at his face, from there along his back towards his tail down his legs.
With himself dry of water he tossed the towel in to the laundry basket and walked out of the bathroom back into his bedroom. he walked over to his dresser and grabbed an Silver necklace with a crescent moon shining in the middle of it, he put it over his head and hang it around his neck against his dark blue fur, a smile plastered across his face, when he is remembering something again. "Gggrrr " his belly groaned at him. "yeah yeah, we are going to get breakfast, sheesh." Crimson spoke to his belly, which only groaned back in response.
Taking one last look in the mirror in front of him, he took in the stallion that was staring back at him. Teal, friendly eyes. light blue Mane, Dark blue coat, and Dark blue wings with slightly blackened feather tips. His cutie mark of an full moon, covered half way by an dark cloud with three stars over the moon. And as last at the silver necklace with the white crescent moon hanging proudly from his neck. With the final check made he walked out of the bedroom towards the royal dinning hall.
As Crimson walked towards the royal dinning room he was greeted with an most pleasant look, Pink bags were being brought away by a servant unicorn with gave him an respectful bow before trotting along with the baggage in his magic.

Before Crimson could do anything else he heard an happy yell from behind him, "CRIMSIE! " and before he could react, Crimson was pinned to the floor in an strong hug from an pink alicorn with two blue ties, one in her hair making a ponytail, and one in her tail.
"Hey Cadey! when did you get back from your school trip?' Crimson asked as he was still hugged on the ground by the Princes of Love.
"Just an hour ago!" Cadence said without breaking the hug.
"Cadey.... do you.... mind... GASP " Crimson managed to say before his face turned into a shade of purple. Cadence suddenly realized that she was hugging her cousin to death and quickly released him. "Oops... sorry Crimsie" Cadence said between giggles, which were always cute to hear, were it not for his rapid air intakes to fill up his half squashed lungs.
"It's... alright Cadey." Crimson managed to speak before taking in one big breath of air." You know cadey, you should really watch out with those Grizzly hug's of yours." Crimson said while chuckeling, Cadence chuckled with him.
Suddenly both of their belly's groaned for breakfast and they both laughed, " I guess we should get breakfast than don't you think?" asked Cadence.
"My belly agrees with you Cadey, let's get to the dinning room. I bet aunt Tia and my mother will be there as well by now." Crimson said to Cadence.
With that they both Walked off towards the dinning room, with idly chat between the walking. " Hey Crimsie?" Cadence said to Crimson. "Hmm?" Crimson responded. "I notice you are wearing your necklace again. Can you tell me how you got it again?" Cadence asked.
"My mom made it for me when i was born Cadence, you know that." Crimson answered.
"I know!" Cadence chirped, making an little jump. " but i like to hear why she made it for you." Cadence smiled.
"Mom made it for me when i was born." Crimson began, smiling at the memory. "Mom told me when i was young, that she made this necklace with stones from the moon herself."
"She told me that if i wear this necklace i will always stay safe, and will bring me luck. and she will always know where i am." Crimson explained to Cadence, who was smiling at hearing the love behind the story.
"But isn't it now a tiny bit inconvenient to wear it, that Luna knows were you are at all times?" Cadence asked Crimson.
"Sometimes, yes" Crimson looked to the floor, thinking back when Luna found him multiple times doing something bad because he was wearing the necklace. "It is the very reason i was grounded this week, that's why i couldn't come with the school trip." Crimson chuckled, "Thats what you get for not doing your chore's and just nap on a cloud multiple day's a week."
At hearing that, Cadence just held her belly because of the laughing." You're just incredibly LAZY nephew!" Cadence said after she stopped laughing. "But why are you still wearing it now then?"
"I wear it because my mother made it specially for me, there are only 2 of these necklaces in Equestria. it is also my good luck charm where ever i go remember?" Crimson spoke with pride in his voice, taking an pose with hoof on his chest which made Cadence giggle again. But his pose was interrupted by his belly groaning, protesting that breakfast was taking to long. Cadence belly did the same thing in response to Crimson's.
"let's get to the dinning room before we begin to eat the carpet don't you think?" asked Cadence.
"RACE YOU THERE!" Crimson said trotting of.
"HEY! NOT FAIR!" Cadence yelled trotting after him. Down the hallway Crimson yelled back to Cadence over his shoulder,
"YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT IN LOVE AND WAR EVERYTHING GOES!"
Breakfast and something to remember
Celestia and Luna were sitting at the large dinning table in the middle of the room. The room was lighted by the sun creeping through the large windows at the sides of the room, and the small window dome on the ceiling. The room itself was decorated with red banners with the sun on Celestia's side of the room. On the other side were blue banners with an crescent moon for Luna.
The floor was made from white marble, while not as polished as the hallway, but they were still pretty bright with the sun reflecting on the white marble stones. In the the room were three doors. One door was for the kitchen staff and servants, while the door on the other side of the room opened up in the garden. The last door in the middle was the biggest, which let to the hallway and therefore the rest of the castle.
At the big table Celestia was facing towards the kitchen with her back towards the garden, to her left was the big door that led towards the hall. Across the table was sitting Luna facing her sister with her back towards the kitchen.
Celestia was drinking her honeyed tea which was her favorite during the morning because of the soft, sweet after taste the tea left her with. She was reading the news paper called,"Canterlot Daily " which she held in her golden magic aura while humming an sweet tune to herself.
Luna on the other side of the table was filling in some left over royal forms in her dark blue magic aura from her last night's court. The papers were not of big importance, but needed to be looked at anyway since it was her duty as Princes of the Night. Next to her empty silver plate on the table was standing an small wine glass with an little bit of red wine in it.
The paper was about permission to extend a store in the Common part of Canterlot, but to do that, the store owner would be needing to expand into an foal playground. And that will not happen if Luna has any say in the matter.
She floated an scroll over to the table from the bookcase in the corner of the room but couldn't find a quill to write with.
"Sister, do you have any quills with you at the moment?" Luna asked Celestia.
"In fact i do Lu-Lu, i keep telling you that you must take an quill with you every time you are looking trough the papers." Celestia said, as she gave her quill to Luna with her magic. "I know sister, but it slips my mind every time." Luna said as she sighed, taking the quill from Celestia.
Luna rolled open the scroll and began to write.

I appreciate that you brought your interest in expanding your store to my court, but i must sadly decline your request in expanding towards the foal playground.
While i understand your statement that there are almost no foals playing there, you must see that i cannot simply allow an whole playground to be removed because you want to expand your store. There are still foals which play there, and removing it will have an unpleasant effect on the ponies living around it.
These ponies bring their foals out to the playground to play, make friends, let off some steam after school, or just go there for relaxation after an busy day.
As you see there are enough reasons to denie your store's expansion, and for that i apologize.
Although i cannot help you in this matter, i can give you an alternative to expand your store. Instead of expanding your store horizontally, you can think about expanding your store with an another floor vertically. Making your store higher may sound strange, but has proven an quite good solution to many store owners who have requested to expand there store's in an similar way.
You will only need to ask the construction workers to check on your store if it is in capable condition of putting another floor on top of the first.
Once they say it is possible to do so, inform me of the developments on the work and send me an blueprint on how it will become to look like. if it is in tolerable limit's of construction, i will be able to grant your request in to expanding your store.

"Most certanly Princes, right away!" Feather spoke and bowed, while taking the scroll in her magic before walking out of the dinning room.
Done with her last scroll, Luna let out an sigh of relief and took an tiny sip from her wine. the wine itself was simple but had an somewhat spicy aftertaste which Luna liked. putting her glass back down she took the quill and floated it over back to Celestia who was still reading the news paper.
"Tia, thank you for letting me use your quill. But why do you have it with you?" Luna asked Celestia who took the quill in her magic. "You said to bring a quill with me when i have royal papers to look at."
"It's okay Lu-Lu. indeed i said that." Celestia said without looking from her paper.
"But why do you have it with you then? you are not looking through any royal papers." Luna asked.
"Lu-Lu, i have this quill with me because i like to make those word puzzles they have in the paper." Celestia responded looking up from her paper. she turned the paper around, showing Luna the word puzzle she was making pointing her quill to it.
"oowww" Luna responded. "I bet you're not very good at it then."
"Why do you think that Luna?" Celestia said with one eyebrow raised.
"Because you are always taking a long time to put down even one word." Luna said with an playful smile.
"I do not!" Celestia scowled at Luna who was just smiling.
"Yes you do, i have been reading trough these scrolls for the past half hour and you haven't put one word on the puzzle." Luna smirked.
"That's because you had my quill!" Celestia retorted.
"Even before that sister, you certainly took your time." Luna said to Celestia, sticking out her tongue.
Before the two princesses could go any further on the subject, the hallway door flew open with an dark blue and pink alicorn trotting trough it and falling on the ground panting.
"I... win!" Crimson said through fast breaths.
"No you... didn't! i... won!" Cadence responded while also breathing fast.
While Celestia and Luna were both looking with puzzled faces at the two panting alicorns laying on the red carpeted floor, Celestia spoke up,"How about you two called it even? ohw and morning by the way."
The two calmed down young alicorns looked at each other and at the same time they said,"NO WAY!"
" I'm sorry sweetie, but i think our Cadence has won this time by an nose length." Luna said to Crimson, with an playful grin on her face.
"YEEEY!!" Cadence chirped with glee.
"Oh come on mom!" Crimson said facing his mother.
"I agree sister, i think Cadence won this time." Celestia jumped in the conversation. "Sorry nephew, but you lost this time."
"That is not fair! it's the filly's against the colts!" Crimson playfully complained, to the amusement of the Princesses.
"Fine, you win Cadey." Crimson gave in, which made Cadence clap her hooves in joy.
Crimson walked over to Luna and nuzzled her which she returned while also placing an kiss on his forehead. "Good morning mom." Crimson said smiling as he took a seat next to Luna.
"Good morning to you too sweetie." Luna said with an smile on her face. "Have you slept well Crimson?"
"With you watching the night mom? I always sleep well." Crimson said to his mom which was greeted with a little ruffle of his mane by Luna.
On the other side of the table, Cadence hugged her aunt Celestia. "Good morning auntie!" Cadence said with a smile while she hugged the sun goddess."Welcome back Cadence, i take it that your school trip went well?" Celestia asked Cadence after breaking the hug.
"It didn't went well..." Cadence said, which got an puzzled look from Celestia."It went GREAT! I even met an nice colt while on the trip!" Cadence spoke with an little blush on her cheeks.
"Oh? and who is this nice gentle colt you met then?" Celestia asked her with an sly smile.
"His name is Shining Armour! He is very nice and friendly, has an white coat and an mane with three different blue colors in it! And light blue eyes to get lost in..." Cadence answered while looking ahead with an dreamy smile on her face. "Cadence? Are you still with us?" Celestia asked as she waved her hoof in front of Cadence without getting any reaction from her.
"I think she is already planning her wedding day..." Crimson said snickering, which was greeted with an jolt of magic from Luna which caused him to yelp in surprise. "AAHH, MOM! why did you do that!?" Crimson whined while rubbing his cutie mark where the jolt of magic hit him. "Don't make fun of your niece's wedding dream sweetie, one day you will have one as well." Luna said with an playful smile on her face.
Crimson mouth hang open for a second with an small blush on his face. shaking his head he found his tongue back, "MOM! i am not going to marry anytime soon!" Crimson said with still an small blush on his face. "Besides i was just kidding, it is not like an changeling army will come knocking on the door of her wedding day!"
Luna giggled at his bad excuse, "Joke or not, a marriage is an sacred bonding of two ponies who love each other, their wedding day is one of the most important day's in an ponies live, and should not be made fun of." Luna said to Crimson with an more serious expression. "Maybe not soon, but someday it will be an important day for you as well sweetie."
As Luna said the last part, a small tear escaped her eye, to think that er little colt will be happily married in a few year's or so, and she could become an grandma as well. Crimson saw the tear escaping his mother's eye and got out of his chair. He walked over to his mother to bring her into a hug, which she greatly accepted. Crimson knew why she was tearing up, "Please don't cry mom... i will always stay your little colt."
Those words, those words a mother always want's to hear, Luna hugged her son even tighter. "I know sweetie, i know." Luna said with an motherly caring tone in his ear while nuzzling him. "Just knowing that in a few years you will be all grown up, and taking your own path. A day every mother knows that eventually comes, and fills her with pride, but also with sadness. Seeing her little grown up colt walking into the outside world, without his mother on his side... or his father..." Luna said, now with more tears escaping her eyes, falling on Crimson shoulder.
At the image of his father as Crimson would introduce his marefriend to him, ruffling his mane for getting an beautiful marefriend, the embaracing talk about the birds and the bees. The image in his mind of his father looking proudly at him, at his own wedding day, smiling at him with a tear in his eye of fatherly pride. And the look of joy on his fathers face when Crimson and his wife would come to visit him, with two foals trotting towards their grandfather and hugging his legs, asking him if he could take them to the playground and then to the ice cream stand where he would always buy them their favorite ice cream.
At these images Crimson also begin to tear up a little, letting his tears fall on his mother soft coat while nuzzling her. "You remind me so much of him." Luna said softly in his ear. They stayed in their embrace for a few minutes, quietly comforting each other."Shall we visit him sweetie?" Luna asked Crimson as she broke the hug with still watery eyes. Crimson looked in his mothers watery eyes with his own and nodded slowly. "I would like that mom." Crimson said sniffing a bit.
Getting out of her seat Luna walked towards the garden door with Crimson walking on her right side. Celestia looked up from her paper with an puzzled look, but when she saw their watery eyes she knew where her sister and nephew were going. Celestia looked at her sister, Luna looked back at her and gave an little nod. With that Celestia used her magic to open the garden doors. Cadence saw Luna and Crimson walking towards the garden and wanted to go with them, but Celestia held her hoof in front of Cadence and softly moved her head from side to side not saying a word.
Cadence wanted to ask why she could not go with them, but thats when she saw the small sparkles of tears flowing down their cheeks. her ears drooped down and looked towards her aunt who had also the smallest hint of sadness in her eyes. Cadence nodded slowly in understanding and sat back next to Celestia.
Walking into the garden, the sun was just the tinniest bit above the horizon in front of them, signaling the begin of the day. Luna looked at her son with sad smile, Crimson looked back at his mother with his watery eyes and drooped ears.
Luna put her right wing around him, comforting him just a little bit. " I know he will be happy to see us again." Luna said softly.
Crimson didn't respond but nuzzled his mothers neck and buried his face softly in her coat with tears flowing freely from his eyes. Luna hugged him tighter with her wing around him and nuzzled his mane softly.
They walked towards an cobblestone path with grass growing between the stones. Luna and Crimson walked slowly, following the path toward an tiny hill with an big pine tree on top it with dark blue leaves. The tree rustled the tiniest bit on the wind, a few leaves every now and than escaping the tree branches swirling silently to the ground, covering the side's of the cobblestone path, like the leaves knew that they were coming.
Luna guided her still silently sobbing foal over the path with the air and a few leaves dancing silently around them. they walked up the hill and stood still under the pine tree. Right in front of them was an memorial stone with an same silver necklace as Crimson had, hanging on the edge, slowly dancing with the wind. The stone had an inscription carved into it.

Seeing the picture again made Luna start to cry freely, She hugged Crimson tight and laid her head on his while Crimson was still in his mothers embrace, looking at the memorial stone and the picture, Crimson sniffled softly but had an sad smile on his face.
"No matter what, i love you dad." Crimson said between sniffles. "We both do." Luna said after calming down a little bit. " And that is never going to change."
After quietly sniffling in each other's embrace they sat there, still hugging each other, watching the sun slowly climbing up the horizon bathing the sky in an orange hue. feeling the small breeze through their coat and mane's, while leaves silently flew past them in an almost respectful looking way. Not one leaf ever touching them, only flowing past them on the silent wind.
Luna and Crimson looked one last time at the picture and the they both stood up. Luna gave an light kiss on Crimsons forehead,"I know your father would be proud of you." Crimson nuzzled his mom as she said this. With both small, sad smile's they went back to the cobble stone path leading back to the dinning room. While walking back, the air felt like it was weighing less. like the air was fresher, more soothing, every time Crimson took in an breath of air he felt better again.

Cadence got out of her seat, walking up to Luna giving her an hug. Than she looked to Crimson and hugged him softly, Crimson hugged her back,"Thank you." he whispered to Cadence. Cadence broke the hug looked at him and nodded once with an sad smile.
Everypony went back to their seats and at that same moment four servant's came in through the kitchen door and began serving breakfast. Crimson got what he liked most, an simple dailies sandwich with apple juice. Luna got an salad with her glass wine being refilled to half full. Celestia had an salad as well only with an small piece of cake on the side of her plate. Cadence got an mix of salad and some hay fry with lemonade for drink.
Crimson looked at what Cadence was having."Hay fry? Weren't you on an diet Cadence?" Crimson said snickering to himself. Cadence looked at him with fire in her eyes."Shut up!" Cadence yelled to Crimson.
"Cadence! Lanquage!" Celestia scolded to Cadence, which made Crimson laugh hard.
"Sorry aunt Tia." Cadence apologized.
Crimson went back to eating when something smacked the back of his head.

"OOWW!" Crimson face planted on his sandwich. Crimson looked behind him and saw an book floating back to the bookcase in an light blue aura. He looked at Cadence rubbing his sore spot. Cadence looked back at him with an evil smile. "Okay, that one... i deserved." Crimson said holding his hooves up. "Indeed you did." Cadence said smiling back at him.
After breakfast the two young alicorns stood up. Crimson walked up to his mom nuzzling her and planting an kiss on her cheek. "I must go to school mom, i will see you this afternoon." Crimson said to Luna. Luna placed an kiss on his forehead and nuzzled him back. "Becareful sweetie, i will see you in the afternoon, have a good day at school."
"i will mom!" Crimson said to Luna. Walking towards the hallway door where Cadence was waiting for him she shoved him with her hoof. "Where was that for?" Crimson asked annoyed.
"Never... call.. me.. fat...EVER." Cadence said through her gritted teeth while smiling at Crimson. Crimson shook an tiny bit under the stern gaze of his niece. " I will try to remember that..." He said weakly smiling while also fearing for his dear life. "Good!" Cadence said, now genially smiling to him and walking off to get her school bags. Crimson found his courage back and walked after Cadence to get his bags for school as well.
After grabbing their bags from their rooms they meet up at the castle entrance and walked out in the open air. Crimson put his nose in the air sniffed, and let out an happy sigh, spreading his wings giving them an few good flaps before putting his wings back to his side.
"You are happy to be outside again." Cadence said with an giggle.
"Yeah, thats what you get if your mother grounds you for a week because you don't do your chores. So yeah, i'm happy to be outside again." Crimson said with an relieving tone. "Shall we?" He asked his niece.
"Lets go." Cadence said with an smile beginning to walk with Crimson at her side.
The wind brushed through Crimson's light blue mane as he and Cadence walked down the steps of the castle entrance. Cadence hummed herself an little tune wile Crimson was enjoying the sun's warm rays as they fell on his dark blue coat. They walked towards the golden gate that separated the castle from the rest of Canterlot, the gate was as high as when two Celestia's would be standing on top of each other.
Alongside the gate were white stone walls that encircled the whole castle, next too the gates were four guards waiting, two unicorns at the gate entrance, and two pagasi guards were waiting in front of it with an carriage. The two young alicorns were approaching the carriage with puzzled looks, when they came close to it the two pagasi guards stood to attention and saluted the two alicorns.
"At ease gentlecolts." Cadence said with an smile which made the guards ease up a bit and lower their salute, Cadence was curious for who this carriage was for, "Please tell me, for who is this carriage meant for?" she asked tilting her head to the side with curiosity written over her face.
The pegasi that was standing next to the carriage door open'd it, "This carriage is meant for you Princess Mi Amore Cadenza and Prince Crimson Night." the guard answered, "Princess Celestia asked us to escort you to school"
Crimson looked to Cadence with an boring look on his face, Cadance just giggled but nodded her head to him."Okay Crimsie, we'll walk."
Crimson perked up at this and faced the guard with the door still open."No thank you, we will walk." with that Crimson and Cadence walked around the carriage, Cadence walked to the guard at the door,"Thank you sir's, but we will take the tourist route through Canterlot, please inform my aunt that."
The guard saluted the Princess of Love, he closed the door and went to the front of the carriage, and hooked himself on it. And with that the carriage and the Pagasi took off.
Cadence walked back to Crimson who was sitting at the gate on his hunches, wings spread, basking in the sunlight with his eyes closed. Cadence got an mischievous grin on her face and silently crawled over the stone path to the unsuspecting Prince. When she was right behind him, she charged a bit of magic in her horn and sent an spark into Crimson's light blue tail making him yelp and jump into the air.
Cadence looked up and was laughing hard, because on top of the gate was an hanging light pole with an frightened Prince hanging from it, wile holding his tale in one hoof and was blowing air at the burned tip."Huff...huff...huff... " Crimson blowed at his tale, he looked to his laughing niece on the ground,"Ha-Ha Cadey, i will get you back for that one later..." Crimson huffed, he flapped his wings and glided to the ground and stopped next to his niece,"Ow cheer up Crimsie, it was only a joke!" Cadence said with an wide smile. Crimson just huffed and looked back at his burnt tale tip."Yeah, one that burnt my tale!" Crimson exclaimed with annoying on his face."I will get you back today Cadey, you can count on it!" Crimson said with an competitive grin, Cadence just wiggled her eyebrows up and down."We'll see about that now will we?" She said teasingly as she walked by, flicking her tail against his cutie mark.
Crimson just laughed at that and joined his niece in walking down the road into Canterlot leaving the castle behind them. When the two young alicorns walked down the road you could see that this was the more noble part of Canterlot, as there were ponies everywhere with clothing and chins held up high. Wile the passerby's gave an slight bow too the two, you could see that they were for mere politeness because they were royalty.
The big road was the main street of Canterlot with all kinds of shops, clothing and Jewell store's being among the most of them. Between every few store's were little cafe's or restaurants, with side roads going into the rest of Canterlot. Cadence, of course, can never get enough of all the store's on the main street. Crimson knew this, so he decided to walk into an side street taking him away from the main street and out of the noble part of the city. But he realized Cadence wasn't with him so he turned back around. Walking back to the road and looking for his niece he found her pushing her face onto the glass of an clothing store that was specialized in dresses of all kinds.
Crimson walked up to her and looked at what kind of dress she was looking at. "...A wedding dress...should have seen that one coming." Crimson poked her with his hoof to her side, Crimson sighed because his niece was not responding and was beginning to drool on the window in an very un-princess kind of way. Crimson worked his brain on how to get his nieces attention, when he got it, he walked up to Cadence her ear and whispered softly."Cadey... Shinning Armour is starring at you... "
At this the pink alicorn reacted, she jumped a little, drying her mouth with her hoof and began to frantically look around."W-WHERE?!" Cadence asked in an hurried tone, not seeing her crush she looked to her cousin with an evil glare. "Don't look mad at me, i needed to get your attention somehow." Crimson smiled and shrugged with his shoulders.
Cadence just sighed and looked to the ground, "I was lost in the store's again was i?"
"pretty much, yeah. An wedding dress store no less." Cadence blushed a little at this. "Come Cadey, we still have school for today." Crimson smiled and turned around walking off towards the street he planned to go trough, now with Cadence walking next to him.
The small side street was a lot quieter than the main street of Canterlot, but still there were some ponies walking around, talking or just chatting at the little cafe that was in the middle of the street. As the Prince and Princess were walking down the small street, the ponies gave an deep bow wishing the two an good day, which Crimson and Cadence returned with an little bow, bidding the ponies an good day as well. At the end of the road, there was an clearing with an foal playground and an library store next to it. The playground was buzzing with foals, Unicorn's, Pagasi and Earth ponies colts and filly's were playing about.
Some foals were playing on an big tube slide, some were climbing in the obstacle jungle made of wooden logs and climbing robes with an small bridge that connected it with the tube slide. There was also a big sand box where three unicorn's were building an sand castle. Crimson looked at the playing foals and smiled as he saw the foals playing freely, not giving a care in the world. "You miss the time we were like that, don't you?"
Crimson sighed happily, "Yes, yes i do Cadey."
Cadence walked up next to Crimson and hugged him with her left wing. "I liked how we would come here after school with an few friends just playing around as these foals are doing now." Cadence nodded at him."I know, i miss it as well sometimes." Crimson stood there, still smiling, when an little ball rolled against his right hoof. He looked down and saw that the ball was deflated and rough to the point were it surprised Crimson it could still roll.
An little dark blue coated Pagasi colt with an white mane and tail and without an cutie mark walked slyly to the Prince and trembled a bit. "I-i am truly sorry Prince Crimson Night, i-i didn't mean to let the ball hit you." the little colt said with an sad trembling voice. Crimson smiled reassuringly to the little colt and lowered himself on his belly so he could look the little colt in his green eyes."Hey, it is no problem little one. What is your name?" Crimson said with an smile to ease the foal a little. "F-Frost A-Ace..."the little colt answered. "Frost Ace, it is nice to meet you." Crimson said bowing an little, he looked to the little colts ball,"Your ball is very deflated tough, did i do that? If so, I'm truly sorry for that Frost Ace."
The little Pegasus colt didn't say anything, he just trembled and looked at the Prince and than to his ball and back with an sad look. Crimson was about to ask when the little colt began,"I-it isn't your fault Prince Crimson Night. My hoofball has been like this for a wile now..." the colt said with his head and ears drooped down. Crimson looked at him with an sad smile, he looked to Cadence who had an sad smile on her face as well. Crimson looked at the ball and worked his magic. The colt looked up because of the sudden blue light that surrounded the ball, he looked at the little ball as it inflated itself and the rough patches on the surface began to look as good as new.
The little colt watched with amazement as, the ball as good as new, was floated down to his hooves. He looked at it with an giant smile and kicked the ball up with his blue hoof balancing it on top of his head and white mane. Crimson was surprised by this,"Wow... that came out of nowhere, you got talent little guy!" Crimson said with an smile on his face. Cadence just cooed softly at the Pegasi colt, not able anymore to hold the amount of cuteness it held. Crimson stood up and looked at the little colt with an smile,"Well looks like you can play with your little friends again huh? I think they will be waiting for you Frost."
The little colt let his ball fall to the ground and looked sadly away,"I don't have any friends... I live at the orphanage around the corner." Crimson looked shocked and saddened at the colt,"But don't you have any friends there? Surely you are not the only orphan right?" Crimson asked with worry in his voice. Cadence had water in her eyes at imagining what the colt might say. "Actually... i'm the last orphan there, the others are all gone to other orphanage's outside Canterlot or are already adopted."The colt said sadly sinking to the ground. Crimson looked to Cadence,"Cadey? How much time do we have before our lessons start?"
"uuhhmm." Cadence looked to the library, which had an large brown wooden clock hanging from the roof of it."Our first lessons starts in about...25 minutes. Why?" Cadence asked her smiling cousin with an quizzical look. Crimson simply walked over to the still laying colt and nuzzled him a little. At this the colt looked up with watery eyes and an confusing look. "How about we play a little game of hoofball Frost? Are you in Cadence?" Cadence softly shook her head with an smile."No thank you. I don't like hoofball that much, i get my flank kicked every time i play." Cadence went to an nearby park bench and laid down on it closing her eyes, enjoying the little bit of sun bathing and sound of the surrounding.
"Well looks like it will be just us two Frost. How about it?" Crimson said with an competitive smile. The colt jumped to his hooves, flying a little with his tiny wings, an smile on his face matching the one of Crimson. "I'm always in for an game of hoofball!" The colt said happily, flaying an hoof in the air. Crimson was happy to see that Frost had passion for hoofball.
Crimson walked to the end of the grassy field that was next to the playground and watched as Frost trotted with his tiny hooves in the opposite of him wile kicking his ball. "I well be the keeper, let's see if you can get past me!" Crimson used his magic to make two small dirt pillars to act as an goal, he went between them and smiled at the colt. "Well? Let's see with you got in you!" Crimson encouraged the colt.
The colt just stood there with an hoof on his ball and eyes closed, taking steady breaths of air. Crimson watched what colt was doing confused a bit at what the colt was doing. But in an instant the colt charged with his ball over the grassy field with the ball at his hooves, coming at Crimson with an fast amount of speed, Frost kicked the ball up, jumped and flapped his blue wings. In the middle of his little flying he kicked the ball hard with his right hoof, Sending the ball very fast towards Crimson who was quite afraid of the ball that was heading straight for his face!
Crimson ducked for his live, the ball went straight in the goal hitting the tree behind it nocking some leafs down and bouncing towards Crimson's hoof. Frost jumped up put his left hoof up in the air, "YEAH! one to zero for team AWESOME!" Frost cheered for his team. Crimson stood up looking at the colt and then to the ball, then to the tree where the ball hit. "....There is actually an small dent in the tree..." Crimson said quietly to himself. "wow..."
"HEY, come on Prince Crimson Night! we don't have the whole day!" Frost yelled back from across the grass field impatiently. Crimson shook his head, he looked at the ball and picked it up with his magic, he saw that an patch on the ball was already beginning to let go of the ball. "I wonder how this ball survived so much... Those kicks could catch even Celestia off guard."
Crimson looked to the impatiently waiting Frost, "You know Frost, those kicks are pretty strong of yours. You even made an dent in the tree behind me!" Crimson said stepping to the side so that Frost could see the light dent in the tree. Frost walked up to Crimson and looked at the tree. "D-did i do that?"
"Well unless there was an dent already there in the form of your ball... which i highly doubt, you problaby did." Crimson said smiling at the colt. "I've never seen an powerful kick from somepony of your age!"
Frost blushed slightly at the compliment,"T-Thank you Prince Crimson Night."
"You can call me Crimson, Frost. During free time outside of the castle you can call me without the royal part." Crimson said with an smile which Frost returned. "Okay! Uhm.. Crimson." Frost said happily.
"You know Frost, you really got quite some talent with your ball. Where did you learn to be so good?" Crimson asked, truly interested how an little colt could kick an ball as hard as most professional hoofball players. "Well.. once i was playing outside of the orphanage, when an professional hoofball player came walking by. The player saw me playing with the ball and said i was pretty good at it and showed me with some tricks how you can kick really good and with precision. She taught me for 30 minutes before she had to leave again. But before she left, she gave me some tips on how to get even better at it. She said to me that i should train every day for 1 hour, just kicking the ball hard at the wall with an circle painted on it and try to hit it in the circle every time. If i feel that i am becoming better, i just make the circle smaller!" Frost explained fast and with pride.
Crimson listened with an smile on his face, "You know Frost, you are lucky that an professional came by and had spare time to teach you. Do you remember who it was?" Frost looked at Crimson and ponder for a little putting his hoof on his chin in thought. "Uhmm... i believe that her name was..."
"Wait Frost..." Frost looked up at Crimson with an puzzled look. "Huh?"

"Yeah, it was a mare who taught me. She was an Pagasi with an white mane with an red streak trough it, the same for her tail, with an orange coat. Why?" Frost asked.
"Because you met The Breeze ... She is one of the best in whole Equestria! Not to mention, almost the only mare! And you just met her on the daily street! That is an feat even i haven't accomplished yet." Crimson said with glee as Frost looked up with pride.
Crimson wanted to go on but an sound interrupted him. Ting Ting Ting . Crimson looked up at the big clock above the library and saw that the time was 8:15, he had about 15 minutes before the school would start classes. "Frost, i'm sorry but it's now time that i must leave, for i must go to school. I will look if i can see you after i'm done with school okay?" Frost looked down with an saddened look. "Oh okay.."

You got amazing hoofball talent, besides if you train even more for today, you can show me it in the afternoon again okay?" Crimson said with an smile. Crimson stood up, "That is what i like to hear. Well Frost i must go, i will see you this afternoon okay?" Crimson said sticking his hoof out towards Frost. Frost looked up at Crimson who simply nodded, Frost smiled again and bumped his hoof with that from Crimson. "Stay frosty Frost."

"Sorry, couldn't help myself" Crimson said grinning. "Anyhoof, i will see you this afternoon Frost!" Crimson said turning around and walking down the grassy field back to the bench where Cadence was snoring lightly.
