Terror With The Bear
The Second Night
Previous ChapterNext ChapterNight had come over the town, and while most most ponies were going to sleep, Pinkie wasn't, right now, she was standing outside Freddy’s Pizzeria, her shift was about to start, but unlike the last time, she wasn't looking forward to it, in fact she was terrified, she knew what was going to happen, but she knew that she had to go there, or some other pony would end up, and she didn't want that to happen.
Pinkie walked into the pizzeria, and ran into the security guard room. She didn't think that the animatronics would try to catch her for some reason, but she wasn't going to take her chances. she sat down in the chair and grabbed the pad. Just as she did that, the phone rang.
Pinkie quickly answered the phone and said, “Hello, Lightning.”
“Hi Pinkie.” He replied.
“So, what can you tell me?” Pinkie said as she started to flip through the camera’s, making sure that none of the animatronics had moved.
“Well, not much, check the camera’s and Pirate’s Cove, close the doors only when you need too. Oh, I forgot to tell you something last night, you see, the camera’s outside of the room have a blind spot, and that blind spot is right outside the door, so if you can’t find an animatronic, turn on the door light, because you might only have a few seconds to react. Also, one of the Forgotten Ones has come online, I think his name is Bucky The Bull, I’d explain more about him but I don’t want to take to much of your time, all you need to know is that he has a very eraddic way of moving, and he yells things out all the time, so if you hear the basement door open and close, that means he’s in the pizzeria, anyway, I have to go bye.” And with that, Lightning hung up.
“No! Wait! I... AARGH!” Pinkie smashed her head against the phone, “I swear, next time he hangs up on me, I’ll throttle him with the phone!”
Pinkie checked the stage, Bonnie, Chica, and Freddie were still on stage. She went on to check Pirates Cove, the curtains were slightly open, but not by much. Pinkie continued to check through these two cameras, they barely changed, although Pinkie could have swore she saw the animatronics heads looking at the camera. Weather or not they actually did didn't really matter to Pinkie.
Pinkie then heard a creek of a door, she checked to see if the characters were all still there, thankfully, they were.
“Wait...” Pinkie did a quick checkup around the cameras, and saw in the backstage room that there was a animatronic in the corner of the room. Pinkie checked the main stage, the characters were all there, and she checked Pirates Cove, Foxy was still there.
She checked back with the animatronic in the backstage room, it was still there.
“Hello, Bucky.” Pinkie said, though she was scared, there was confidence in her voice. She could outsmart this guy, after all, he’s only a bull.
Pinkie started to relax, if they scrapped this animatronic, that means there was something wrong with him, who knows, maybe this animatronic could barely move, Pinkie let out a small chuckle at this thought, she then went back to checking the camera’s and making sure she didn't use too much power, but when she went back to the backstage room, Bucky had moved, she checked the rooms that were near it, and found him in the hallway, she then went back to looking for the other animatronics, and when she checked the camera that was right outside the west side of the security room, she she saw Bucky standing outside the door, but unlike the other animatronics, it didn't look like he was looking at the camera, it looked like he was looking at a wall, but then Pinkie realized that there was a window into the room, and given the position of the camera and where Bucky was looking, he would be looking into the room.
Pinkie quickly hit the button to close the door, that was a little close for comfort, but the one thing that stuck out in her mind, was how did he get there so fast, maybe she should worry about the Forgotten Ones, they seem to be smarter than they look.
Pinkie looked at the time, 2.AM already. Aside from the bull outside, the night shouldn't be all too bad. Pinkie looked at the camera, only to find Chica gone.
“RRGH! I hate you chicken!” Pinkie yelled.
Pinkie checked the lights to see if Bucky was gone, thankfully, he was.
Pinkie heard pots and pans banging in the kitchen, “Found Chica.” Pinkie said, going back to her routine of looking for Bucky.
Bucky moved back to the maintenance closet. Pinkie checked the dining hall, and saw the bunny bastard himself, Bonnie, standing in the middle of two tables.
“No. No! NO!” Pinkie shouted, gritting her teeth, “This is so hard!”
Pinkie then switched the feed to the dinning room, and saw something running to the left side of the camera and off screen, Pinkie didn't get a good look at it, but from what she could see, it looked like it was made of metal, this brought back the thing she saw at Pirate's Cove the last night, she checked the room nearby to try and find whatever it was, but she couldn't find anything.
Pinkie then heard humming coming from Pirate’s Cove.
Pinkie quickly switched over to Pirate’s Cove, where she saw Foxy, who was now out of Pirate’s Cove, and looking down the west hall, Pinkie made a note to herself that she should check Pirate’s Cove more often, and then, she heard a voice yell.
“FUN DIP!” Pinkie had no idea what this had to do with anything, or who yelled it out, until she remembered that Lightning had told her that Bucky yelled things out at random, and Pinkie guess that Bucky liked Fun Dip.
Pinkie then went through another camera swipe, Chica had move to the east hall entrance, Bonnie was for some odd reason in the supply closet, which made Pinkie wonder why there was a camera in there, she guessed that the pizzeria really wanted to make sure nothing was taken. and Bucky was in the dining area, and from what Pinkie could see, he was holding a packet of Fun Dip, where he got it, Pinkie would never know.
Pinkie then went to check out Pirate’s Cove, but other than an open curtain, there was nothing, but she thought she heard something moving in her direction, so she checked the west hall entrance camera, only to see Foxy run past the camera, Pinkie immediately knew that Foxy was running to her room, she quickly got up to press the button to close the door, but just as she reached out to press the button, she lost her balance, and fell out of the room, where she saw Foxy running as fast as he could towards her, Pinkie quickly got up, ran back into the room, and shut the door just before Foxy could get in, preventing him from getting inside, this didn't stop him from hitting the door a few time, he then look through the window, right at Pinkie, and said, “I’ll be back Lassy, and next time, you won’t be so lucky.” Then Foxy ran off, back to Pirate’s Cove.
Pinkie looked at the clock, 4:39.AM. She looked at her power, 27%.
“Few! Alright, Pinkie. You can do this!” Pinkie said, “Just an hour and a half to go.”
Pinkie looked around, and saw Chica in the camera right outside her door. Pinkie raised her right hoof, and swung it right at the door button.
The right door slammed shut, and Pinkie went back to looking for the others. She saw Bucky in the dining hall, but couldn't find Bonnie.
Pinkie pushed the light on the left side of the door, and saw the giant blue face of the bunny.
“Hello.” Pinkie said, jokingly, and she closed the door, so that it couldn't get in the room, “Goodbye.”
Pinkie realized that she was loosing power, fast. She checked the light and camera to see if Chica was still there. Pinkie didn't see the bird in the window, and opened it.
Pinkie looked and she saw that a bunch of power had been lost from closing both doors.
Pinkie checked to see if Bonnie was still there. He was.
“Just leave!” Pinkie yelled, and clicked the lights again, he was still there, “C’mon! Just leave!” She kept trying, but the bunny wouldn't go away, “OH FOR CELESTIA’S SAKE! JUST LEAVE ALREADY!”
During this time, Pinkie wasn't checking the camera’s, something that by now, she should have known was a very bad thing to do, and after yelling at Bonnie to leave, she gave up and checked the camera’s, Bonnie hadn't moved, much to Pinkie’s dismay,Freddy was still on stage, Foxy was still in Pirate’s Cove, Chica was at the restrooms, but there was one animatronic she couldn't find, Bucky, when she realized this, she moved over to look at the door, and reached her hoof to turn on the light, but just as her hoof reached the button, it was grabbed by a cold, metal, hand.
Pinkie didn't have any time to react, Bucky started to pull her out of the room and into the dark, Pinkie started to pull away from him, but Bucky’s grip held firm, it was the most terrifying game of tug of war Pinkie had ever been in, and as this was going on, she heard Bucky say something, it was mumbled at first, but as this went on, his voice became more clearer and louder, he was repeating the same phrase over and over, “You could have repaired me, you could have repaired me, you could have repaired me!”
It was at this point that Pinkie realized that without help, she couldn't get out of Bucky’s grip. But then, she saw the one chance she had to escape, on the desk, laid a packet of Fun Dip. Pinkie reached out to grab it, as the animatronic she kept trying to get the packet, and after what felt like an entreaty, she managed to grab it, and held it out for Bucky to see. The second he saw it, all of his attention was on it, Pinkie then threw the packet as far as she could, and Bucky let go of Pinkie, and ran after the Fun Dip. Pinkie then quickly shut the door, once again, she barely escaped her death.
Pinkie looked at the clock 5:56.AM with 3% power left.
“Oh man!” Pinkie tapped her hoof, waiting for the time to change to 6:00.AM.
She looked at the camera, and found out that Bonnie and Chica were right outside her doors.
“RRRRRGH!” Pinkie gritted her teeth. And pushed the light for the right door, and Chica was once again, staring at her through the window. “OH COME ON!” Pinkie closed the door, and backed up to the corner, anticipating the clock to change hours, or the power to run out.
5:59.AM. 1% power.
“CHANGE! CHANGE! CHANGE! CHANGE! CHANGE!” Pinkie shouted, at the clock, when suddenly, the power ran out.
Pinkie waited for the characters to kill her already, but it never came.
“Huh?” Pinkie walked out the left door, and down the hallway, going into the dining hall, where all the characters were back to their normal positions. And Bucky presumably down in the basement.
Pinkie just walked around the dining area for a few minutes, checking the place out.
“What happened here to make you guys do this?” Pinkie asked the characters on the stage, “Whatever it is, I promise to find out.”
Suddenly, she heard the door open, and a mare walked in. This mare was the manager of the place.
“What are you still doing here?” She asked, “I thought for sure you would have left this place by now.” She looked at the animatronics, “Most ponies do. And for good reason.”
“I know, I should be running out of this place, but there’s something going on here.”
“Yes, I’m fully aware of what those things do, and I’ll tell you what I tell all the guards, there’s nothing I can do about it, I’ve tried to talk to them, and they won’t do anything, mainly because they don’t believe me.”
“No, not that, I mean there’s a reason why they’re doing this, and I want to know why.”
“Well I can’t help you out there.”
“I guess I’ll have to talk to Lightning abou-” Pinkie started to say, but was cut off by the mare.
“Lightning has been talking to you?!”
“Yeah.”
“What did he tell you?”
“Not much, he just told me how to survive here.”
“Ok, from now on, don’t talk him, he’s crazy, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if he had something to do with all of this.”
“You can’t be serious.”
“He’s obsessed with all of this, he keeps coming up with crazy theories, and he won’t stop even when I ask him, so do yourself a favor, don’t listen to what he has to say.”
Now Pinkie was caught between a rock and a hard place, true Lightning did have crazy theories, and he always would hang up before she had a chance to ask him questions, but he did seem to care about her, giving her information that if she didn't have, she would have died, and he wanted to talk with her after the first night to know if she survived, she didn't know if Lightning was a bad guy or a good guy anymore.
Pinkie left the restaurant afterwards, and went home to Sugarcube Corner to get sleep.
She woke up at 9:00 AM, hearing the phone ring. She reached for it, trying to grab it, and fell off the bed. She got up and answered with a yawn and a sleepy, “Hello?”
“Hey! Great to hear your voice again!” Lightning said on the other line, this woke Pinkie up.
“Oh, hi Lightning.” Pinkie sat back on her bed, worried about what was going to happen next.
“Look,” Lightning started, “I know you're scared, but think of it like this, soldiers put their lives on the line every time they go into battle, it’s not that big of a deal.”
“Well at least they have a way of fighting back.” Pinkie grumbled.
“Look, It’ll be alright. But I have something to tell you. But are you curious with what is going on? The last guard I talked to didn't really take kindly to me telling him about these things.”
“What do you mean, last guard?” Pinkie asked, “I thought you were the last one before me.”
“Never mind about that. But, are you curious in hearing what I think is happening there or not?”
“Uuum.” Pinkie thought about this, and remembered about what the manager said, “Lets save those details for later.”
“Oh, ok.”
“Why are you calling me?”
“Because I wanted to know if you’re ok, I remember when I was in your place, I would have loved to have somepony to talk too.”
“Thanks, but why do you hang up on me? I do have questions to ask you.”
“Yeah, sorry about that, I just don’t want to keep you on the phone for too long, it could be a big enough of a distraction to allow an animatronic into the room and…. Well, you know what happens.”
“Yeah.” Pinkie agreed, “Well, if that's all, I’m just going to hang up.”
“Well, nothing else I have to talk about. Bye.” Lightning hung up.
“I am soooo going to research what’s going on there.” Pinkie said.
