//-------------------------------------------------------// I think we're lost -by Poetic Brony- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Where are we? //-------------------------------------------------------// Where are we? "I think we're lost" Dave said turning to his older brother. "No we're not" Arron retorted. Both guys were sitting in a white Nissan Maxima. Arron had a Map and Compas and was trying to discern were they were exactly on Leon's huge piece of land. "I know exactly were we are now." Arron smiled as he folded up the map, throwing it in the back seat. "Really and where is that?" The younger asked quizzically. "We're in New Hampshire." Arron just said smiling at his younger brother. Dave face palmed "I should have never joined you on this outing. I'm not a damned brony like you are." "Oh come on I need a camera man and your the only real friend I've got. Besides it gets you out in nature and away from your World of War Crack." Arron said ignoring his younger brother's criticism of one of his hobbies. "I hate nature, your the Eagle Scout and you got us lost on our friends stupid,  property." Dave crossed his arms and put his mud caked feet on the dash of his older brothers clean car. "Hay! Put your feet down I want to keep my car clean for my trip to Idaho." Arron said glaring at his younger brother. "Now if only you'd keep your room as clean as your new car." Dave retorted back as he stuck his tongue out at his elder brother. Their conversation that was turning into another argument was suddenly halted as they heard several growls coming from the surrounding trees. "What in the freakin hell was that?" Dave asked concerned as he took his feet off the dash. "Well Leon did say to be careful. He said that he saw a pack of Coyotes on his property several days ago. Now with the spring coming they seem to be more active. Come on let's go find them, I'm sure Leon's rancher friends wouldn't mind if we lowered the Coyote population." Arron said excited. Dave was dumbfounded. "Are you an idiot!? We're not hunters! You want us to leave the vehicle go into the woods and track a pack of carnivorous animals that will probably eat us." "Ya, sure why not it's not like we're unarmed." Arron said with a grin. Dave rolled his eye's at his older brother. That other hobby of his was the reason why his room was so messy he had literately piles of ammo all over the floor. "Ya, know if you'd stop your reloading hobby your room wouldn't be so messy." Arron just shrugged. "Leon is to blame he got me started and well it's hard to stop." Arron was a gun nut, but his family kinda understood why he was attacked by dogs several years back he still has a deep scar on his left hand and on the back of his right calf. That's why he usually wore gloves even during the summer months. So to him getting rid of the Coyote's was about justice. He hated it when he was attacked and he knew that a kid had been attacked by several Coyote's last week. It was pretty big news, the boy was only fourteen his dog was killed trying to protect him and the kid was in critical condition for several days. Arron had even gone to the hospital to see him because he knew from his own experience the scars those beasts can leave. Arron started rubbing his left hand. "Come on Dave we got this." The sound of low growls was more audible this time. They were closing in on the white Nissan. Dave finally gave in opening his door. "Fine I need to break in my rifle anyway." Arron unfastened his seat belt, then opened his  door the car started beeping because Arron left the key in the ignition. Arron then knelt down to pull up on the trunk latch that popped  the trunk open. Dave was undoing the latches on his rifle as his brother came up beside him to unzip one of his own rifles from it's case. "Are you planning to start a war bro?" Dave said eying the three big black bags that each had a complete AR Fifteen in it. There was also a brown box that contained four more complete lower receivers. "It's a hobby." Arron stated as he pulled several mags out of the pouches putting two into the right pocket of his camo cargo pants and slapping the third into the receiver. "Seriously how many of those things do you need? You have a ton of mags and ammo and if you were ever stopped by the police they'd think you were a terrorist." Dave said as he put a full mag into his own AR fifteen. "I'm not too worried about that. Soon I'll have my FFL and then I can open my own shop like Russ. Besides, I have my permit." Arron replied as he yanked the charging handle racking a round into the chamber. Dave shook his head and pulled on his charging handle putting one of his brother's custom five, point, five, six rounds into his own chamber and slung the rifle over his shoulder. "I still don't know why you just don't let me build one for you?" Arron said. "I like my Rock River Arms, thank you very much." Dave froze as the growls got closer. A green mist came out of the woods just a few feet from the two armed men. "Arron I don't think that, that is a Coyote." Dave said fearfully . A large wolf came out of the woods it had green glowing eyes and it looked to be made up of sticks and twigs. The creature had a dark green mist pouring out of it's thorn covered mouth. "Well there's some good news, I now know where we are." Arron said bringing his rifle to bare. "I thought you said we were in New Hampshire on Leon's property, and just what is that thing?"  Dave said worried as he aimed his rifle at the creature. "Nope, and that, if I'm not mistaken is a Timber Wolf, we're in Equestria, and for the love of God shoot." Arron said putting much emphasis in shoot. Both men fired chunks of wood and debris flew off the Timber wolf as the small projectiles tore threw it's wooden hide. Dave hit the Timber wolf in the eye making the creature retreat back into the woods. "How much ammo did you say you brought again?" Dave asked his brother while pressing the mag release to check his round count. "Not enough if we're taking on Timber wolves." Arron said as he headed for his car. Dave fallowed suit opening the rear doors they threw their rifles into the back seat, quickly closing the the doors and opening the front ones. Just as soon as they got their doors closed two more Timber Wolves came out of the tree line one to their right and the other just behind the white Nissan. Arron didn't even try fastening his seat belt he turned the key he had thankfully left in the ignition, threw the car into drive and slammed on the accelerator. The car jolted forward laying the two terrified occupants back into their seats. The Timber Wolves both gave chase fallowing the white sedan that was slowly leaving them in the dust. Problem was Arron had no idea where he was driving to. "Hay, bro so what is a Timber Wolf exactly and why is there a pack of them here in New Hampshire?" Dave asked as looked at the fallowing wolves in the passenger side mirror. He couldn't help but notice the Objects in Mirror are closer than they appear sticker, which at this time was not something that was making him feel very comforted. "Arron step on it! There catching up!" Dave yelled at his driver. "I'm doing close to forty there really isn't much maneuvering room, if I go any faster I might hit a tree or something then we'd be Wolf Chow! And I don't know about you but I've already had enough of being bit up! Now Shut up and let me concentrate on driving!" Arron's fingers had started turning white he was gripping his steering wheel so hard. He also noticed the two wolves were still chasing and were actually catching up. "Dave make yourself useful and shoot something!" Arron told his brother who was hanging on for dear life as Arron turned the wheel hard left to avoid a head on collision with a tree. "With what? My rifle is in the back seat!" Dave said panicked. "You still have your Sig on you right and if you need you can use my two, two, six on my hip if you can reach it." Arron said more emphatically. Dave pressed the button to roll the window down and had to do an acward maneuver to get to his side arm. He finally struggled but got it out he put his hand holding the gun out the window and fired backwards blindly. The with resounding bangs the bullets all went way wide of their marks but the noise made the two chasing wolves come to a halt. "Wow, Arron how did you know that would work?" Dave said bringing his hand back inside the vehicle. He didn't even bother to reholster the weapon, keeping his finger off the trigger he had it resting in his lap but still in his grip just in case their new friends made chase again. "Granny Smith used to bang pots and pans to scare them away. Timber wolves hate loud noises." Arron said as he headed for a clearing he saw to his left, again turning hard on the wheel. "Granny Smith, who the Frig is Granny Smith, and Why are there Timber Wolves in New Hampshire because I've never even heard of them before?" Dave asked his brother who was still concentrating on driving. The Nissan broke through and was freed from the forest Arron stepped harder on the gas as they made the clearing putting greater distance between them and those hungry wolves. Arron finally replied as he eased off the accelerator bringing the car back down to a more controllable thirty MPH. "We aren't in New Hampshire any more little bro. Somehow we've traveled to Equestria." "What! You mean from that crap My Little Pony, show you watch!?" Dave asked his brother with both sarcasm and horror. "It seems that way, and look that, I believe is Sweet Apple Acres ahead of us." Arron said to his brother who was still in disbelief. A small farm house with a bright red barn next to it was in the distance but in front of them was a very large field of apple trees. Dave shook his head a few times trying to get his still racing heart under control as well as trying to wake up from this nightmare. "Well Arron you really, really, really know how to get lost. Doncha bro. I mean first I thought we were just going to go out to explore Loen's place for your stupid brony idea and then we get lost in New Hampshire and wind up in, what was it Equestra." Dave said to his big brother dripping with so much sarcasm that Arron wanted to punch him but he was too busy driving. Arron suddenly stopped the car and turned off the ignition. "Ya, know sometimes I really hate you. You can take the fun out of everything. I mean come on, we're in a completely different Universe and it's called Equestria not Equestra!" "Ya, well this is totally F'ed up in my book. And why are we stopping here?" Dave asked credulously as Arron exited the vehicle Dave fallowed soon after. "See, that tree house?" Arron said pointing to a small yet picture perfect house that was nestled in a tree. "Ya, so, what about it?" Dave said sarcastically. "You really should have watched the show." Arron put his hand on his head and shook it slightly. Taking his hand away he looked strait at his brother who was leaning against his car with his arms crossed. "That, Dave is where the Cutie mark Crusaders gather Every day after school and if my guess is correct they're, there right now." Arron said as he pointed back at the tree house. Dave looked up and noticed that the curtains were moving so he knew that someone was inside and they seemed to be watching them but trying very hard not to be noticed. "Cutie mark what now? Does anything make sense in this place. Will anything ever make sense? Why in the hell, are we even here? How the hell, did we even get here to begin with? I blame you for this." Dave finished as he stared back at his brother. "I'm just as confused as to how we got here myself. But I'll roll with it. At least one of us knows where we are, and I know the people or ponies that live here or most of them, I think." Arron made his rebuttal as he climbed the ramp up to the small door. He had to bend down slightly to knock. "Shhhh, maybe they'll go away." A small voice from inside said Arron was guessing that was Sweetie Bell. "Ya, but what if there just lost and need'n help?" Arron knew that voice belonged to Apple Bloom. "I don't know girls Rarity said to be cautious of strangers, and those are some of the strangest things I've ever seen." Sweetie Bell making a good point. "Well I think there cool, so I say we go out there and talk to them. Oh, what if they can give us our cutie marks?" Arron smiled, that was definitely Scotaloo. Arron waited as they suddenly went dead silent, then. "CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS STRANGER HELPERS HURRAY!!" all yelled so loud Arron nearly lost his balance but caught himself as the door of the tree house swung open revealing the trio of trouble. Dave just looked on with an expression of shock confusion and awe plastered on his face. Arron wished he had gotten his camcorder out of the trunk because his expression was priceless. Arron jumped down to the ground with a solid thud as the trio of ponies made there way down the ramp heading straight for Dave who was now leaning hard against the car. He had to put both his hands on the hood just so he wouldn't fall over. "HI, ya, big, tall, guy? I'm Scotaloo and this is Sweetie Bell and Apple Bloom." The Orange pegusus said pointing to her earth pony and unicorn friends during her introduction. "And together we're the CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS HURRAY!!" Again all screamed in unison. Dave was unable to talk just standing frozen. "Just ignore him for now. He's Dave and I'm Arron and that is my car Dave is leaning on. I don't think you have those here? Anyway, were from New Hampshire and I think we're lost because now we're here.....in Equstria." The trio all turned to look up at the speaker. Apple Bloom trotted over in front of him. Arron knelt down so that he was more at their eye level. "I'm sorry to hear ya'll are lost. I've never heard of any place called New Hampsher but your not too far from Ponyville." Apple Bloom told the newcomer. "Maybe Twilight can help you find your home she's an egghead so she can definitely give you directions." Scotaloo suggested sarcastically. "But where did you come from anyway? I've never seen a carage quite like this before?" Sweetie Bell said as she put a hoof on the car. "It's made of metal, but carages aren't made of metal?" Sweetie Bell said as she started rubbing the fender with her hoof. "Oh, that's actually a type of plastic it kind of feels like metal though." Arron told the inquisitive pony. "They, they, they're, really, real." Dave finally found his voice. "And give the kid a hand. He can speak." Arron said sarcastically. "So what do you think of Bronies now..hmmm hater." "But there real, I mean talking ponies are real!" Dave said still staring at the trio of Equines. "Arron, what is he talkin about?" Apple Bloom asked. "Well back where we're from your all from a T.V show called My Little Pony, and trust me I get flack from pretty much my whole family because I actually like it. So, I kinda knew you'd be here because this is where you guys...or girls rather, go after school. You try to come up with ways to earn your cutie marks." Arron explained. "Wait, you knew us from a show?" Sweetie Bell said with slight panic in her eyes. "There are others like you watching us....constantly....like right now?"  Scotalooo said as she turned her head, eyes darting about looking for someone spying on her. "I don't think it works like that." Arron said comfortingly as he could trying to defuse the situation. All three ponies let out a sigh of relief. "So I think we should head on over to Ponyville to see Twilight" Arron said with a grin. "Oh, can we come." Sweetie Bell said still touching the car. "Ya, can we?" Scotaloo asked with big eyes. "I'd like to introduce ya'll to my family if ya'd like?" Apple Bloom suggested happily. Dave still in shock just opened the passenger door and got in. This time he fastened his seat belt. Arron pulled the key out of his pocket a pressed the button to pop the trunk. As the latches released and the trunk making that noise all three of the ponies said. "Ohhhh!" Their uniformity was just uncanny. "This thing is magic!" Sweetie Bell Exclaimed. "It's Awesome!" Scotaloo said flapping her wings and hovering a bit before settling down. "It's way better then my sister's ol' wagon that's fer sure!" Apple Bloom added. Arron just rolled his eyes as he retrieved the two rifles from the back seat of the car to make room for his new passengers. "What are those things?" Scotaloo asked curious. "These are just our AR's I'm putting them back in the trunk so you girls can get in." Arron stated hoping that they'd lose interest in them. "What's an AR?" Sweetie Bell asked. "What do they do? They look totally cool." Scotaloo chimed in. Arron really didn't want to have this conversation. But he also didn't like curious kids. Curiosity, guns and kids was a very bad combination. Arron Sighed. "OK I'll tell you but promise my you won't ask about them again and please do not touch them, at least not without either my or my brother's supervision." He looked very sternly at the trio while he put the AR's in the trunk. As he closed the trunk the three girls all nodded. "They are weapons and they can be dangerous. When my brother and I first got her we were attacked by a pack of Timber Wolves and we used those weapons to fight them off." "Ohhhh!" All three stared at Arron in awe. "Wait, was that all that banging we heard earlier?" Sweetie Bell  said coming to a realization. "Ya, it was really loud I think even the ponies in Ponyville could have heard that." Scotaloo said. "With all of that noise, you would have easily scared those nasty wolves away." Apple Bloom said with a nod. "Oh, trust me we did."  Arron said as he opened the door so the trio could climb in to the back seat. "Hay, this seat is cushiony. Rarity would love to have a ride in this thing of yours Arron." Sweetie Bell said as the two girls piled in next to her. Even with all three ponies in back there was still lost of room Arron guessed he could probably fit four or five full grown ponies in his back seat if they weren't too big. He closed the door and opened his own he then climbed in fastening his seat belt he put the key in the ignition and the car roared to life. "Wow! This is so cool" Scotaloo said. "Do you think we could go to Ponyville? I want to have Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon see us. I'm sure it would make them jealous." Sweetie Bell said. Apple Bloom looked rather down. Arron stepped on the accelerator and headed for the big red barn off in the distance. He guessed that Apple Jack would never let Apple Bloom go into town with the other two. He actually wasn't to sure how she or Big Mac was going to react when he drove up with the three girls in the back. It only took a few minutes for them to get to the Farmhouse. Apple Jack and Big Mac were running toward the car as Arron put the brake on and put it in park. "What in the same hill is that contraption?" Apple Jack eying the two people sitting inside the vehicle. "Yep?" Was the only thing Big Mac said but also eying the vehicle. Arron got out first mostly because Dave was still in shock and the girls couldn't open the doors themselves. putting the key into his pocket he opened the right rear door. "Last, stop every body..or everypony out." Arron said still holding the door open for the crusader's to file out. "Do we have to?" Scotaloo whined. "What was so much better than walking the whole way." Sweaty Bell said. "I can't believe we're here already!" Apple Bloom still wanting to stay inside the car. "Just what the hay is goin on around here? Who is that? And what are you three doing riding around in that..that..thing...with that person?" Apple Jack said kind of furious as she stomped a hoof. "But Apple Jack, Arron's awesome and his car is too." Apple Bloom whined as she finally disembarked from the back seat. "I can't say the same about his brother though." Sweaty Bell said eying the man still in the front seat as she walked past over to Apple Jack and Big Mac. "Arron huh? So where did you come from big feller?" Apple Jack asked. "He's from New Hamp sher!" Apple Bloom said with a big grin as she trotted over to her big sister and giving her left hoof a hug. Both Big Mac and Apple Jack stared at Arron quizzically. "New Hamp Sher huh? I've never heard of it before." Apple Jack confessed. "It's pronounced New Hampshire. It's a New England State in the North East of the United States." Arron said walking over to Apple Jack and Big Mac. "I was actually going to go into town to see Twilight to ask how we got here and how we get home." Arron said to the small crowd. Big Mac had walked over to the car still eying it while he rubbed his chin with a hoof. He bent over to sniff it he then shook his head made a funny face and stuck out his tongue so it flopped around a bit. "It wasn't supposed to smell nice Big Mac. And that exhaust can kill you so please don't sniff the vehicle." Arron said to the curious stallion. "Yep!" was all Big Mac managed to say as he stepped away and headed towards Arron. Even as big as he was Arron still was taller so Big Mac had to look up. Arron Knelt down to look Big Mac in the eye. Big Mac was studying him he knew. He just gave the red stallion a smile as Big Mac again rubbed his chin with a hoof. Big Mac nodded and went to join his sisters. "Yep!" Big Mac said again, as he turned but looked back to give a slight nod to Arron. "Well it seems that Big Mac likes ya enough. So I guess that's good enough for me too." Apple Jack said. "So, I'm guessing you would like to see Twilight likity split?" She asked Arron. "It would be very helpful. Yes. So I can give you a ride, if you'd give me the directions into Ponyville." Arron stated. "Well I guess I'm supposen so and that way I won't have to take Sweaty Bell and Scotaloo back into town myself. Apple Jack agreed as both young fillies cheered eager to get back into the car. "Can I please go with you big sis?" Apple Bloom pleaded with a pout. "Sorry Apple Bloom but'cha still have chores to do. Now go run along and help out your big brother. I'll be back before ya know it." Apple Jack said to the soundly defeated Apple Bloom. "Aww, shucks!" She cried as she reluctantly headed to the barn. Arron felt sorry for her but he knew how AJ was. He also didn't want to interfere with other families matters. He just walked over to his car and opened the rear door. Two excited fillies jumped right in, Apple Jack seemed more hesitant but finally got in. Arron shut the door making Apple Jack jump a bit. He then once again retrieved his key and opened his own door. He closed it put back on his seat belt and started the car. As the engine revved up Apple Jack asked. "Was it supposed to sound like that?" Sweaty Bell answered before Arron could. "Ya, that's what makes it so cool." Apple Jack looked at the young filly incredulously raising an eyebrow but staying silent. "So, how do we get to Ponyville from here?" Arron asked his new passenger. "All ya gotta do is head past the barn the turn left, then when ya see the gate take a right. Go through the gate then take another left that will take us to the road that leads inta Ponyville." Apple Jack gave the directions as Arron stepped on the accelerator and they were off. Arron Rolled the windows down and put his left arm on the sill to rest it. He wasn't all tensed up this time. "Wooowwee this is nice!" Apple Jack said as the wind blew at her making her mane fly around. The two fillies also were enjoying the nice breeze. "This is totally awesome!" Scotaloo said exited. So the five of them were off to see Twilight. One was a wreak the other hoping to find a way back home, and the three in the back just enjoying the ride. //-------------------------------------------------------// We have something better //-------------------------------------------------------// We have something better The Nissan Maxima was getting some strange looks as it passed by the ponies on the way to Ponyville. "At least I don't have to fight traffic, ninety three can be a nightmare, especially at rush hour." Arron said as he thought about all of the people that came up from Massachusetts en mass. "I swear I see more Mass. plates on the highway than New Hampshire one's." Arron said still thinking out loud. "I know right! At least this place doesn't have a lot of cars." Dave, Arron's brother and passenger finally got over his shock of being, well, here in Equestria and had finally started talking normally again. "So, Dave, how do you like Equestria now?" Sweety Bell asked from the back seat. "It's pretty I guess. But do you have the internet here?" Dave hoping they did so he could at least play some WoW while he was trapped in Pony land. "The inter...what now?" Apple Jack asked quizzically. "I'll take that as a, no." Dave said none too pleased at the answer. "Come on, doesn't anything make you happy?" Arron asked his brother. "I'll be happy once we get back home to....normalcy, so the sooner we see this Twilight Sparkle the sooner I get back to my life." Dave said as he crossed is arms and put his feet back up on the dashboard. "Not, much of a life if you ask me." Arron said as he stepped on the brake bringing his car to a halt. "What gives why aren't we moving anymore?" Scotaloo asked as she stuck her head out the window. "Umm...Apple Jack I have no idea where I'm going now...Help?" Arron said looking out the windshield at Ponyville proper. There were so many streets that were wide enough for his car but he didn't know where to turn to get to Twilight's place. Arron put his chin on the steering wheel waiting for Apple Jacks new directions. "Wowweee that was quick. So now that we're here all ya gotta so is head for the big crystal castle at the far end of town. You can either take a right here and take this road that goes around ponyville, or you can just keep going straight and over the bridge, past the town hall and take a slight right. That's the road that will take ya right to Twilight's Castle." Apple Jack said nodding her head as she leaned over Scotaloo to take a look out the window. "Can we please go through town?" Sweety Bell pleaded. "Ya, can we, can we, please. please, please?" Scotaloo also pleaded. Dave was the only one who was shocked at this. "A castle, Twilight lives in a castle? Just what kind of place is this?" Dave said looking out the windshield at the crystal castle in the distance. "Please, don't go into shock again Dave." Arron said trying to get his brother to settle down. "Well, it's only normal that a princess would live in a castle. Right Arron?" Sweety Bell said leaning over the center console to look out the windshield at Ponvyville. "Yes, it is." Arron said confidently as he put his car back into drive and pressed on the accelerator. He was only doing twenty MPH, because even though there were no marked speed signs he didn't want to hit anything or anypony for that matter. Arron decided to go straight through. "A Princess, Twilight is a princess! What's with this place!?" Dave said emphatically as he continued to stare at the castle in the distance. "You really should have watched the show." Arron said to his brother. Two young fillies started cheering with glee as they noticed that they were driving through Ponyville. "I hope I see Diamond Tiara!" Sweety Bell said excitedly. "I hope I see Silver Spoon!" Scotaloo added. "Calm down now girls it's not a contest." Apple Jack said but she was also smiling. Arron was glad to be of service. He also didn't like those girls much either. Diamond Tiara he thought was a stuck up snob and Silver spoon wasn't much better. For a second he actually thought about running them down if he saw them. But he didn't feel like cleaning up the mess or damaging his new car so he thought better of it. "But ammo is cheap." Arron said aloud getting a quizzical stare from his brother and the three in the back had confused looks. "What's that now?" Apple Jack asked turning her head slightly from the window. "Umm....nothing just thinking out loud." Arron said rather sheepishly. "Your not planning on doing something stupid are you bro?" Dave asked his big brother with a bewildered look on his face. "I would do, no such thing!" Arron exclaimed as he fell silent. "Me, and my big mouth." Arron said under his breath so that no one could hear. Arron decided it would be best if he just shut up and concentrate on driving. It was a good thing there was a lot of room on the road because there were some vendors selling goods lining some of the streets the he was driving down. Ponies were oohhing and awwwing as they passed. The three back seat passengers were yelling and waving as the car passed. Even Dave was waving out his window at some of the staring ponies. "I hate to say this but this is kinda fun." Dave said as he waved at a pair of ponies one was a yellow colored earth pony and the other was a bright green colored unicorn. The unicorn had dropped the bag she was carrying with her magic as the vehicle with a waving person passed her. "Dave grimaced I hope that she wasn't carrying anything fragile in that bag." Dave said but no one was really listening. Arron had noticed that several ponies were fallowing them. He had to bring the speed down to fifteen MPH because of all the pedestrian traffic he even had to stop a few times to let various ponies cross the street. It took a little longer than anticipated but they had finally arrived at their destination. As Arron and Dave exited the vehicle there was a rather large crowd of ponies that had gathered. Arron was trying to ignore all of the stares and opened the door so that the three ponies in the back seat could get out. "Did you see! did you see!" Sweety Bell said jumping up and down. "I sure did Diamond Tiara looked soooo jealous." Scotaloo said flapping her wings. Just as Arron closed the door as the two talking youngsters got out a blue pegusus came right at them and just missed hitting Dave. "Apple Jack what is that thing, and who are those guys, and where did they come from?" Rainbow Dash bombarded the poor earth pony with questions. "Hold your horses Dash, this here is Arron and that guy ya almost collided with is his younger brother Dave. There From New Hamp sher, and this is a....a." "This is my Nissan Maxima. It's a car." Arron said coming to Apple Jack's rescue. The crowed that had gathered seemed to have grown and just as things were about to get out of hand Twilight came out of her castle. "What is everypony doing? And why, are you all gathered in front of my castle? Twilight flapped her wings. "Umm Twi....it's because of them." Apple Jack said pointing to the two human brothers. Twilight's eyes went wide. Humans? How are humans here in Equestria? and they have a car? That's not possible, is it?" Twilight stared at the two humans and then at the car. "Arron I think she's broken." Dave said to his brother as he walked over next to him. They both started leaning against the trunk of the car. Arron being a jokester thought of something hilarious. "My I have your attention please. May I have your attention please would the real Twilight Sparkle please stand up? Would the real Twilight Sparkle please stand up?" Arron finished his bit but then thought of something else that would probably be even funnier. "Yes that's right folks you are witnessing the world famous Delivant Brothers inter-dimensional traveling beings, non par-ray!" He sang in the best mimic of the Flimflam brothers that he possibly could. "Now all we need is a Delorian!" Dave added, smiling as he saw where his brother was going with this. "Naw, we got a Maxima it's even better. Let's see Marty and the Doc beat this." Arron said with an ever bigger grin. "How long do you think we can keep this up?" Dave asked as he made a fist with his left hand. Arron made one with his right and they fist bumped. "I think I'm going to really like it here." Dave said as his eyes gleamed. "This is way better than the show." Arron said nodding. "Delivant brother's, messing with tiny little ponies brainsss!!!" They both sang in the Flim Flam brothers style. //-------------------------------------------------------// That didn't go over so well //-------------------------------------------------------// That didn't go over so well The Brother's joke didn't go over very well. All of the ponies were scratching their heads shrugging, looking rather confused. The only ponies laughing were Rainbow Dash the two CMC girls and Vynal Scratch who was in the crowd holding on to her friend Octavia so she wouldn't fall over. Twilight just face hoofed and rolled her eyes. "Ya, know it wasn't really that, funny guys." Twilight scolded the two brothers stomping a hoof. "Great in my first five minutes here I pissed off the Pony Princess." Arron said trying hard no to laugh at Rainbow who was on her back holding her stomach she was laughing so hard. Dave turned to his big brother. "I dare you to try and say that five times fast." as he lightly jabbed his elbow into his brother's side. "Twilight lighten up these guy's are hilarious!" Rainbow said through her laughing. Then, just as things couldn't seem to get any more silly a Pink pony with wild mane appeared out of nowhere she looked at the two newcomers. Then at Rainbow Dash who was still laughing her flank off. "OK, not fair now who done dooed it!?" Pinkie shouted to the crowed. "Who did what Pinkie?" Twilight asked her obnoxious friend. "Somepony was telling jokes without me, and that's just not fair, and my Pinkie sense told me it was a good one too." Pinkie said with a huff. "Sorry Pink, your too late, and it was those guys, it was awesome you should have been here!"  Rainbow told her friend as she got back on her hooves and wiped away the rest of her tears. She trotted over to Pinkie put one hoof around her neck and pointed at the two brother's with the other. "You two are telling jokes without Pinkie!" She said as she lowered her head and flared her nostrils at the two brothers. "Pinkie don't worry it really wasn't that funny, trust me the only pony who really laughed, was Rainbow." Twilight said to Pinkie. "No! my Pinkie sense doesn't lie, I know it was a good one!" Pinkie said indignantly. "It sure was Pink, you should have been here. These guys are hilarious." Rainbow said nodding to the two brothers who were grinning. "At least someone has a sense of humor." Dave said dryly. "Correction, Some pony Dave, and even though it went over most ponies heads at least Rainbow and Vynal seemed to get it." Arron told his brother. "Ugh....can we please get to the real matter at hoof. You two how did you even get here?" Twilight said looking sternly at the brothers. "Ummm we got lost....then chased by a pack of Timber Wolves, met the CMC in their tree house, then met up with Apple Jack, and she helped us find you. Why?" Arron explained. Apple Jack nodded agreeing with Arron's statement. "It's just as he said Twi, I thought you mightn' be knowing how to get these fellers back home." Apple Jack said. "But they can't go home not till I've thrown them a party....and make a better joke than they did." Pinkie said first with excitement and then kind of threatening. "Wooo, there Pink, ADD much. You know there's prescription for that." Dave said as he started chuckling. "Nice one bro." Arron said. "Thanks. I do my best." Dave replied. "Did you just make a joke about me? Did you really, just make a joke about me?" Pinkie said as she lowered her head and inched her way over to Dave. She then put her front hooves on Dave's chest and brought her face up as close to his as she could. The crowed of ponies stood there in horror no pony in their right mind ever made jokes about Pinkie, so no pony knew how she would react. Dave had just done what no pony ever dared to even do. "Pinkie stop!" Twilight cried. "Umm, ya Pink I did, why?" Dave said looking down at the pink pony that was very much in his face. Her eye's narrowed and her teeth clenched. The whole crowed of ponies stretched out their necks as far as they could go. Everypony was on pins and needles. Then Pinkie put on a great big smile and declared. "Cuz, it was, hilarious!" She cried as she started laughing and sorting. Every pony fell over, as Arron shrugged and smiled. As every pony else was trying to get back on their hooves Vynal made her way over to the two men. Arron was rather shocked at her appearance. "Do you guy's do parties?" Vynal asked them, as she adjusted her very dark sunglasses. "You see there's this place in Manehatten that I know, that would love to have your standup routine." She finished looking from brother to brother. Arron couldn't believe it. "She spoke, I mean she actually spoke this is incredible!" Arron said as his jaw dropped. Vynal looked rather confused. "Of course I can talk, why wouldn't I?" She said, scratching her head with a hoof. Twilight was done with this. "Would every pony please calm down! You two your coming with me, you have a lot of explaining to do!" Before anyone or any pony could react she picked up the two brothers with her magic and levitated them into her castle, slamming the doors rather hard behind her. "What's up with her?" Rainbow asked no pony in particular. "mmm..mm..mmm" Pinkie said as she shrugged holding out both hooves in a confused manner. "But, what about the party?" Vynal said stretching out a hoof after the Princess and her captives. "Hay, ya, what about the party!?" Pinkie said as she ran over the castle doors trying to open them. Twilight had apparently locked them. So she started banging on them with her hoof. "Twilight get back out here this instant you big meany!" she yelled in frustration. The crowed started to disperse as both Sweety Bell and Scotaloo headed for their respective homes. "I hope we see them again." Sweety Bell said to her friend as they headed home together. "Ya, I want another ride in Arron's car." Scotaloo said as she hovered a bit then she looked like it was the end of the world, she had a stunned expression on her face and her ears both drooped. "What's wrong Scoots?" Sweety Bell said. "I just realized I left my scooter back at the tree house!" Scotaloo said still shocked she had forgotten her prized scooter. "Well you'll have to wait till tomorrow to get it. It's not going to kill you to go without it for one day, will it?" Sweety Bell asked her panicked friend. "Hay girls, you headed home?" Rainbow Dash asked the two fillies who were making their way home. "Ya, we are but I think that Scotaloo might be broken." Sweety Bell said waving a hoof in front of her friend's shocked face, getting no reaction. "Really why's that?" Rainbow asked curiously. "She left her scooter back at the club house and now she's like this." Sweety said gesturing to her petrified friend. "Phhh, no big deal, I'll go back and get it for ya." Rainbow offered her number one fan. Scotaloo finally snapped out of it shaking her head. "You will Rainbow, thank you!" As she gave her hero a hug. "It's no problem. The only ones who have a problem are those two, I've never seen Twilight act like that." Rainbow said as she looked back at Twillight's Castle. "Do you think we'll ever see them again?" Scotaloo asked looking up into Rainbow's face with eyes starting to water. "Ya, I'm sure Twi will just bombard them with a million questions. I just hope they can survive. I know I couldn't, and besides I want to have a ride in that car of theirs." Rainbow said as she looked a the white Vehicle parked next to the Castle. "It is really fun!" Sweety exclaimed. "And totally cool!" Scotaloo said feeling much better. "Ya, I know I saw you guy's waving and cheering as I flew over." Rainbow said as the three started walking to Carousel Boutique to drop off Sweety Bell. They were so involved with their conversation they didn't even notice Apple Jack had started walking right behind them. She didn't say anything though too busy listening to their chatter, but she also liked that car ride she got. She hoped that she'd be able to get another one soon. Apple Jack then looked back at her friend's castle hoping that she'd let her prisoners go soon. They were strange guy's but they were still decent folk. Twilight wouldn't do anything too bad to them. She had to agree with Rainbow she would blast them with questions and then release them, or at least she hopped so. Letting out a sigh she lowered her head then picking back up she continued to fallow Rainbow and the fillies, still keeping silent. "OK you two, where did you come from, and why are you here?" Twilight asked her two  captives. //-------------------------------------------------------// The terrible, horrible, hilarious...inqusition? //-------------------------------------------------------// The terrible, horrible, hilarious...inqusition? Dave and Arron were having a fairly good day up till this point. At this time a Purple Pony Princess had them restrained with her magic. Holding them in two chairs that were very uncomfortable because they were meant for ponies not people. Twilight was pacing in front of her two captives. Looking rather disgruntled as she wondered just how two humans ended up in Equestria from some place called New Hampshire. The only things she did know was the people from that place had a very strange sense of humor and dressed really funny. Arron despite being the older brother was actually shorter than Dave his younger brother. They did have the same color hair and facial features. If people didn't really know them they were usually mistaken as twins despite being two years apart. Arron had on a black shirt that had a hood on it. His pants were several shades of gray and he had a ball cap on that said something that Twilight couldn't understand. Dave was wearing all black pants that were rather baggy he had a  glossy black coat that was unzipped in the front revealing a blue T-shirt. They were both wearing black boots that still had some dried mud on the soles. They both had goofy grins on despite their current situation which was more puzzling to Twilight than the matter of where they came from. "Look the pony princess is pondering." "I dare you to say That...five times fast." "Didn't we already do that joke, last chapter?" "Did we? I don't remember....it's still funny though." Both brothers looked at the still pacing Twilight. She was trying to ignore them for the moment. "Oh, ya it still is." "So Twilight, my pretty pony princess of friendshipieness, are you going to let us go any time soon?" Arron just had to ask. The seat he was in was rather painful and his left leg was starting to fall asleep. Twilight jumped at the question, Arron had apparently startled her out of her thoughts. Twilight looked from Dave to Arron and back. "If I let you go, don't even try to escape." She broke her silence and finally said something to her two captives. "And where were we supposed to escape too...exactly?" Dave still wondering on how he was being restrained asked inquisitively. Twilight looked perplexed. She put a hoof to her chin as she contemplated. She shrugged and released the two men from her magic, as they both got up out of their chairs, Arron started stretching out his left leg trying to get the circulation going again. Dave also stretched trying to get his back realigned. "Well Twilight, again I'm Arron, and that guy there is my kid brother Dave." Arron said pointing to Dave as he took a seat on the floor which to him was much better than that lousy chair. "So how do you know me? Because I don't remember ever meeting you guys before?" Twilight was directing the question at Arron more so than Dave. "My brother saw you on that crappy girly, cartoon My Little Pony." Dave said nonchalant. "Wait what.. what do you mean cartoon?" Twilight knew about TV shows from her time with her human friends on the other side of the mirror. Getting an epiphany she ran to get her magic book that linked the two worlds. Coming back from retrieving her book the two brothers watched as she opened to a blank page and started writing. "Ummm....Arron what is she doing, and why is she writing in that book? "I think she's writing to Sunset Shimmer in the other world to, as a matter of speaking, look, us, up?" Arron said thinking it was a novel idea. "Wait how do you know about that?" Twilight once again quizzical but she was still writing despite the distraction. "Well, I did see you defeat Sunset Shimmer and the Dazzlings in the movies. I do know how to pay attention ya know, despite what some people believe." Arron said looking over at his brother who just shrugged at his comment. "Hay, in my defense if I had of known that this place was....ummm....real. I probably would have been just as big a brony as you." Dave crossed his arms indignantly. "At least I get out of the house, I'm not a shut in like you mister computer warrior." Arron shot back at his smug looking brother. "At least I'm not a gun nut like you are! I only kill things in the online world, Mister I have enough guns to outfit a small army! Or, better yet occupy a small country!" Dave was on his feet pointing and accusing finger at his brother. "At least I GO outside! You just sit in your room all day, every day! I had to quite literally drag you to even come with me to Leon's to look for places to shoot!.....I mean film!" Arron put his hand to his forehead realizing he really blundered into that one. Dave started laughing. "Exactly!" He cried as he looked at his brother who was now turning a bright shade of red. Twilight had enough. "Will you both SHUT UP!" She was not at all impressed. "Is this what you do all day? Shout and argue with each other?" Arron put his hood over his head to try and hide his embarrassment. Dave turned to look at the pony who looked rather perturbed. "We're brother's so, ya, we fight? Got a problem with that bright eyes?" Dave asked Twilight sarcastically. Twilight at first was angry at Dave, then she frowned and her ears drooped. "Why are you like this, your family right, why do you fight so much if your family?" Twilight was now confused. "Listen princess I don't know about here in pony land but where we're from that is pretty much the only thing we're good at. Our Country is literally at war with several other countries. Terrorism is starting to become an every day occurrence. Hell, back in two thousand one several Jihadists took down the world trade center in New York starting it all. Hatred, bigotry and intolerance are rampant, so a little in fighting between relatives is nothing." Dave was still indignant but it was the truth. "But..but.....why? Twilight said as she sat on her haunches looking down. "It's because Twilight we are imperfect beings who have been granted choice by our creator and because of that choice people do terrible things, over some of the dumbest crap ever. People kill each other over Religion, Politics or just plain spite. Death is so common it doesn't really effect us as much as it would you. We have been desensitized to it. Thing is people have started killing each other since Kane killed his younger brother Able out of jealousy. Listen Twilight just because my brother and I argue it doesn't mean we don't love each other, it's just part of growing up, or life....take your pick." Arron said out from under his hood. "Ever the philosopher, eh...bro?" Dave said with a smirk. "I just live my life the best I can despite all of the evils of the world." Arron said sitting back down resting his back against the chair. "That's really all we can do." Dave had to agree. "That's why I spend most of my time gaming just trying to get away from reality for a while." "That is....I don't know......just sad." Twilight looked at both men, she was starting to cry despite herself. "Oh, come on Princess that's just life. That's why we try and see the humor in things if it weren't for laughter or joy, life would really suck. Besides that was where we were from, it doesn't mean that it's like that here? Right Twilight?" Arron said trying to bring some cheer back into the conversation. "It's just like he said. Not everything is good, bright and cheerful but there is still a lot of good in the world and quite a bit of humor too. Have you ever heard of Jeff Dunham, princess?"  Dave asked Twilight with a grin. "Jeff who now?" Twilight said seriously confused. "She doesn't know Jeff..fa...fa!" Dave announced. "No, Dun Ham!?" Arron added. "Dot COM!!" Dave cried. That was it both brothers broke down laughing. Not so much at the in joke but Twilight's expression was just priceless. Twilight looked bewildered, confused, and annoyed all at once and the brother's thought they could actually see small question marks above the princesses purple horned head. "I don't get it." She honestly said looking on at the two laughing men. "And that's why it's so funny!" Dave exclaimed through his laughter. Twilight was then distracted by her book that was now vibrating. Sunset Shimmer had written her reply. Dear Twilight Sparkle, I have looked at the white pages on the internet with Rarity and Rainbow Dash. We didn't find anyone matching the two names you sent. What's more is that there is no place called New Hampshire that we could find. There is a place here that is similar but not the same. We think that they might have come from a different world altogether. I'm sorry that we couldn't be more help. Your Friend Sunset Shimmer Twilight finished reading, looking at the two brothers who still were chuckling over the Jeff Dunham thing. Ugh....what do I do with these two now that, that idea failed. Twilight was hoping to push them through the mirror and make them go away. But if they weren't from the mirror world then where were they from? And for the love of Celestia how do I send them back! //-------------------------------------------------------// The road home //-------------------------------------------------------// The road home Twilight quite literally, kicked the two men out of her castle. Dave and Arron landed unceremoniously on the ground right in front of the parked white Nissan Maxima. "Is she always like that?" Dave asked his brother. ...... Arron didn't reply. "Are you, OK?" Now Dave was concerned. "Just get in the car we're going home." Arron said producing the key to open the doors. Dave looking confused went around to the passenger door. Opening it he got in again not wearing his seat belt he just waited for his brother to start the Nissan. Arron was quiet with a rather incomprehensible expression on his face. Starting the vehicle he put on his seat belt, then putting it in drive they were off. Arron didn't drive through Ponyville this time traveling the road that went around the pony settlement instead. "So how are we getting home?" Dave asked his driver. "Easy we just go back the way we came. It shouldn't be too hard to do, being there's only one car in Equestria." Arron told his passenger. "Wait, so we're going back into that forest with those Timber Wolf things still out there?" "Yes, Dave we are." "Great plan bro." Dave muttered under his breath. It was dusk as the Maxima carrying the two men got back to Sweet Apple acres. Apple Bloom's ears perked up knowing that there was only one thing it could be. "Arron and his brother are coming back!" Twilight must have let them go!" Apple Bloom was excited as the noise of the car got closer. "Now Apple Bloom don't go gettin all excitable like that. We don't know what them two are up too with that newfangled contraption of theirs." Granny Smith told the young filly. "Eeyup." Big Mac said agreeing with the older mare. He kinda liked Arron but he wasn't too sure about Dave and that car. Big Mac scrunched up his face a the thought of the smelly thing. Arron and Dave both saw the small Farm get closer. "Are we going to stop, to say Hi?" Dave said as he noticed that Arron wasn't slowing down. Arron didn't want to slow down as it was night was going to be settling in soon. He knew that Luna would be raising the moon in an hour or less, and he wasn't going to try and drive through the Ever Free forest at night. "No, Dave we aren't stopping." Stepping on the accelerator Arron brought his Maxima up to forty five MPH as he zoomed by the farm house. Dave saw a small yellow pony look bewildered as they flew past. There was also a fairly big Red one that came out to stand next to her. Apple Bloom was confused as the white car went flying by her farmhouse. Big Mac even came out to see what was going on. The two ponies just stared at two red lights that soon disappeared into the distance. Apple Bloom started to sob softly. "Where are they going? Why didn't they stop Big Mac?" She looked up into her big brothers soft eyes. He looked down at his little sister with a smile. "Twilight probably told them how to get back home, so they're probably rushing to get there before it get's too late." The older red stallion said to her. "But they just got here! How can they just up and leave like that?" Apple Bloom was still teary eyed. Big Mac just nuzzled his little sister and assisted her back inside. Arron threw on his high beams and started honking the horn rather vigorously as he was fallowing the tire track s he had previously made on the escape. He had to bring the car down to a slow crawl of fifteen MPH as he was glued to the trail that would hopefully lead back home. "Are you sure this plan will work?" Dave said as he was on the lookout for Timber Wolves. "No, Dave I'm not sure but we don't belong here, and I don't know about you but I never stay where I'm not wanted." Arron said a bit snappy. "I kinda figured as much." Dave said crossing his arms but still the thought of home was more appealing rather than staying here in Pony Land. The sun had finally set and the two brother's were back where they had started. Arron put the car into park and got out. Pulling his flashlight from his pant's pocket he scoured the ground. It didn't take long for him to find what he was looking for. Shinny brass cases reflecting the light off from them. Arron picked one of the empty shells up and studied it. This was no doubt the place where they encountered the Timber Wolves this morning. "Well this is the right place but now what?" He didn't really have time to think much as Dave who was still in the car started pounding on the horn. Arron covered his ears as he noticed that several pairs of glowing green eyes had retreated back into the forest. Aiming the beam of his flashlight into the ridge line he didn't see any more Timber Wolves. Pocketing the case and his flashlight he climbed back into the car. "So what now?" Dave asked his bro. "Easy we just keep fallowing this road and hopefully we'll be back on that old logging road of Leon's." Arron said it with confidence but he was still unsure if this plan of his was going to work. Arron put his car back into drive as they set off into the unknown. "They left!? What do you mean they left!?" Sweety Bell was asking her friend Apple Bloom who had just explained to the other CMCers that Dave and Arron drove by the farm house last night, not even bothering to stop. "My brother said, they probably got information from Twilight on how to get back home." Apple Bloom explained. "Well then, I guess we'll just have to go visit Twilight after school." Scotaloo said as they were making their way to the school. Mrs. Cheerilee was greeting the all of the ponies just outside the door as the younger fillies and colts were being dropped off by their parents. Dave and Arron were no longer lost. After driving for nearly an hour they had found a landmark that was definitely recognizable. The barbed wire fence on the left and an old rock wall on the right. Dave looked at the clock on the car's CD player it said Ten Seventeen. "Well that was different." Dave said braking the uncomfortable silence. Arron just shrugged as he saw two lights coming at him from the other direction. Leon was riding on his Honda four wheeler. Pulling up to Arron's door he pressed the button to roll the window down to greet the older gentleman. "I've been looking for you boys what happened? Did you get lost?" Leon was bundled in an over sized down jacket and he had to shout over the noise of his idling Four wheeler. Arron and Dave gave each other strange looks then turning back Arron simply stated. "Leon, you have no, idea." Leon shrugged but it was hard to tell with that huge jacket on. He readjusted his glasses and pulled the throttle of is Honda. "Well now that I've found you just fallow me!" He turned around behind the white Sedan and took off back down the logging road that would lead them back home.
