The ground felt soft as Jane came to her senses. Her eyes opened slowly and saw a bright, sunlight-covered valley with soft, green grass. This wasn't home... Where was she? The girl looked firward, rising slowly onto her legs. She fell onto fours, where she felt more balanced. Her fingers felt sealed together. She looked down. Her hooves were- HOOVES!? Jane twirled about in circles. Her brown mane and tail had a tint of Amber and her coat was a light tan. She had the same exact build of a mare. Jane was a pony.
She hadn't originally BEEN one! She had died as a human, and spent time in the Afterlife trying to get another chance. When she had been granted that, they never had said anything about this! But Jane was alive now, she would have to do this. Jane walked off to look for another pony on this lovely farm. If it was one, that is. If it was even on Earth!
Jane cantered up to the crest of the hill. It slanted slowly downward. On its slope lay the start of a village. "Here we are, a nice village. My master probably lives here!" Jane said to herself. Her heart stopped.
Did she just talk?
No, this was NOT Earth, nowhere near it!
Which meant no humans.

"Hello there, young one. I have been waiting for you since sunup yesterday." A regal but kind voice sounded from behind.
