"Sir Storm Wind The Valiant! Knight of Equestria!"

SHING!!

READY FOR ACTION!!!

The first wave of Minotaurs came rushing towards Storm Wind as he pointed his spear ready to attack while ignoring the laughter and taunts of his enemies.

"This some kind of joke?!?"

"You're dead meat little stallion!!!"

BLAM!!!

Out of nowhere the entire squad was sent flying in all directions and in the center Storm Wind was standing in front of a large trench smoking from the impact.

"Now you know why they call me "Storm Wind" I spent my entire childhood training for a battle like this that by the time I was 12 my wing power had maxed out to fifty and since that time it's doubled to 100 Max!!!"

Both sides were shocked by this revelation since no Pegasus in history had ever reached that kind of strength before and to demonstrate even further Storm Wind took off with great strength creating a large dust cloud before charging right into the enemy ranks, scattering them in all directions while atop the wall Archer and the others helped with the defense as the enemy began storming the battlements.

"ARCHER! Two already!"

"I'm on 17!"

"Huh?!? I'll have no Unicorn outscore me!!"

Iron Forge and Archer had begun a little competition like they always did while Charm Caster used her magic to try and thin the enemy ranks with Star Swirls help as lightning and fire began to rain down from the sky, all seemed to be going in their favor until a building near them was struck by a large boulder.

"CATAPULTS! Watch yourselves!!"

Within moments parts of the city began to crumble along with a few sections of the wall.
Both sides began to suffer heavy losses, as the siege engines continued to fire Storm Wind smashed his way through the enemy ranks as they began to feel the full force of his wing power with each blow.

"AARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!! COME ON! you won't take this city without a fight!!"

Each swing of his spear erupted in a violent explosion of wind that sent his foes flying through the air or into the ground, one might say he was the grim reaper of the battle field as the minotaurs began to fall back out of fear while Minos urged them forward.

"FORWARD YOU COWARDS!!! PUSH ON!!!"

The Minotaur King began to grow frustrated seeing a lone knight making his troops look like amateurs and began hear his name being chanted by his enemies.

"STORM WIND! STORM WIND! STORM WIND!!!"

Though outnumbered and surrounded Storm Wind fought on taking down one foe after the other as if he could see their moves before he could make them, each swing was swift and fluent along with his footsteps; like a dancer on stage he was nimble and quick being able to block and attack at the same time and soon found himself surrounded by a circle of slain foes.

"Anyone else?"

He asked in a calm manner planting his spear in the ground seeing his enemies grow fearful even as the arrows stopped flying.
The battle soon grew quiet as all eyes were fixed upon Storm Wind and Minos who had decided to take up his challenge showing he had two large axes in his hands looking infuriated.

"Who are you boy?!?"

Minos glared at the young stallion with nostrils flaring and bursting with steam while Storm Wind was already coming up with a battle plan to take him down.

"His advantage: Size. My advantage: Speed. First move: Evade double swing from both sides...then disable mobility...attack will result in back swing, employ block then disarm. Finish up with head strike then impalement. Result: My victory, his defeat."

"ANSWER ME!!!"

Just as Storm Wind predicted the assault started with a swing from both axes as Minos swung with all his might only to hit a blurred image before feeling a burning pain in his legs as he turned to see the Pegasus jabbing his spear at the joint of his legs before trying to counter with another swing only to be disarmed then hit by the blunt end of his spear, the resulting attack sent him swirling around in all directions before feeling a sudden chill in his chest and looked down to see the point of the spear thrusted into his heart.

"My name is Storm Wind. Son of Commander Hurricane! Son of General Stout Heart! and today I have claimed your life...."

Within a few short seconds of withdrawing his spear Minos fell dead to the ground leaving everyone bewildered. None but Commander Hurricane was able to pull off such a short victory against a massive foe like Minos yet there stood another with her strength and skill, soon the Minotaurs began dropping their weapons and raising their arms in surrender and before long they began to kneel before leaving some of the others confused.

"Sis what's going on?"

Archer asked as he turned to Charm Caster who continued to stare in amazement at the event before them.

"It's one of the Minotaurs most ancient traditions. The one who defeats the leader earns the right to lead the clan and today we witnessed such an event...Storm Wind. Just how much strength are you hiding?"

Meanwhile Melody was helping with the injured both friend and foe alike as she tended the wounds of a Minotaur who had been gravely injured during the battle and to her surprise he was completely grateful.

"Thank you. I-AGH! I thought I might not survive this."

"Don't talk so much. You need to save your strength."

Melody smiled as she finished bandaging the giant before her when suddenly a small doll fell out of his pocket, by the look of things the doll was hand made and brand new. Melody handed it back to her patient who began to gently smile as he held it in his hands.

"It's a gift for my daughter...she'll be three weeks old now."

"I don't understand...How can someone as gentle as you fight for someone so evil as Gor'Zan?"

Upon hearing that name the Minotaur began to sulk in shame before settling down to tell his tale.

"We Minotaurs weren't always the brutes you know us as...we were once prosperous farmers, we tilled the soil we lived on and grew crops as far as the eye can see...then came the war. Gor'Zan challenged our king to single combat and bested him but instead of killing him he allowed him to live so long as he pledged his loyalty to the Warg clan....better he had just died that day! At the start of the war the Wargs began taking our crops and farms, taking more than what was needed and our people began to starve so we were forced into joining the fight against your people."

Much to her surprise the Minotaur broke down in tears before her and she could not help but feel heartbroken for the poor brute and gently laid her hand on his arm giving him a small sense of comfort before her friends came in with fresh bandages and medicine while back on the battlements Storm Wind helped with the body count while checking for any wounded on the battlefield.

Already the crows began to circle crying out, waiting to feast on the corpses below as he continued his work coming across a few fallen gryphons who by the look of them were simple townsfolk and some were barely of age to hold a sword, proceeding to line up the bodies for the families his heart began to sank seeing the families coming out to find their loved ones slain, after a long days work repairs were under way and the dead were buried and a victory celebration was held but while the city partied far darker shadow grew in the north once Gor'Zan heard the Minotaurs had defected from his army.

"AAARGH!!!!! That boy has meddled in my affairs FOR THE LAST TIME!"

Having been fed up with his plans being ruined Gor'Zan immediately departed from his fortress with his army departing to the east; Heading towards the city eager to settle things with Commander Hurricanes bloodline once and for all.

The End.
