Sometimes we do things for ponies we thought we'd never do. This crossed my mind as I laid on the ground, blood trickling from my nose, my ears ringing.

"Wow...you look...incredible." The corners of my lips curled into a smile as the door opened. Rainbow Dash was stunning. I had seen her with clothes before, but not like this. A beautiful dress was draped over her body, contouring to her heavenly body perfectly. My eyes trailed up her, next catching her face. A shiny substance was on her lips, giving them a slightly purple tint. Her eyelids shared the same color, but not the shine. They complimented her godly magenta eyes. For the first time seemingly in awhile, her mane was styled and brushed. Something was in her hair to make it a bit less flamboyant, and a tad shiny. A glam on her ear brought my gaze to the cyan listening organs. A small gold pendant with a miniature version of the cutie mark on her divine flank. My gaze refocused on her eyes. I nearly melted. She was perfect.

"You...you did all this for me?" I didn't get a verbal response. She leaned forward and pushed her lips against my own. The noise of her wet mouth clashing with mine caused my ear to flick. When she pulled back, I was reluctant to let to end.

"Who else?" A smaller smile touched her lips. I couldn't begin to contain the huge grin spread across my face. Surprisingly, she made me feel under dressed, even in the nice suit I was wearing for her. I offered my hoof forward, bowing gently.

"I've no idea. Let's not waste any more time, then." She took my hoof, and we swiftly made our way to the Maretine Cafe, a Europony romantic restaurant. While I knew it wasn't exactly Dash's "speed", in a certain way, I thought she might really enjoy it with me. While walking there, I thought about scooping her up and carrying her again, but I didn't want to risk ruining that perfect look she had. I was soon glad that I had worn pants, because not long after we began walking, I realized that this look of hers was 'working' for me in every way.

I believe I lost myself staring into her beautiful eyes, because she cleared her throat rather loudly when the waiter set the food down on the table. I had ordered eastern Cucumber Salad, with a side of Creamed Mushrooms, also from the eastern side of Europe. I suppose Dash didn't know what to order, because her platter held the same content as my own. A soft brown aura touched my horn as I levitated a fork to the plate, puncturing a mushroom and bringing it to my lips. Before munching on the delicious creamed vegetable, I glanced at Dash, struggling to lift the small fork with her hoof, getting frustrated. "Do you need a little help?" I lift her fork for her, stabbing a mushroom, and lifting it to her mouth. Red touched her pretty face, and she leaned forward, removing the fungus from the fork. The taste hit her tongue with a surprise, this much was obvious. She almost coughed it up, putting a hoof over her mouth.

"Oh...it's uh...it's good...mmm." She made a sheepish smile. "Excuse me." She stood to leave for the restroom, her wing catching the plate on the table. "Dash-!" I was cut off by the loud sound of her plate crashing to the ground with a loud porcelain crack. Her face lit up red to her ears, freezing in place.

"Ohmygosh." She whispered softly. Her expression told me she was mortified. "I'm sorry..." She spoke a little louder, looking back at me. "I didn't mean to..." The deep red shade of her face didn't fade. I slowly stood, smiling.

"It's okay...but, I think we should leave." I walk over to her, taking her hoof and pulling her out. I heard screaming behind us, but just kept walking, speeding up. "Probably a tad faster." I laugh a little, running at a brisk pace. Dash laughs with me, running with me.

"Let's not come back to that place again, alright?" Dash laughs, brushing against me slightly. "I wouldn't imagine they'd be too fond of us returning." She laughs again. "Look, that was fun and all, and I got all dressed up nice for you, but I would really prefer somewhere a bit more...free. What do you say?" She smiles at me. I return the gesture.

"Sure. Where did you have in mind?" After a bit of thought, she grinned and gestured down the road.

"Let's go to the club."

And so we found ourselves back in that club. Flashing lights, loud music. "This time, no drugs, okay?" I remove my suit and ruffle my mane as we step in, Dash doing similar. Her makeup remained, however, and I was happy for that.

"Fine, fine, but we at least have to drink." I roll my eyes at her.

"We'll have a drink. But we're not getting wasted. I want to remember the night this time." I follow her to the bar. She orders some drink. I imagine this is how she felt when I ordered at the restaurant. I just reply "Ditto." When the bartender looks to me. He soon sets down two tall drinks, tinted yellow. Dash quickly gulped down her drink, helping me to drink mine with a hoof, tilting the cup up when I was only sipping it. A bit spills from my lips, causing me to laugh.

"Let's go dance!" She grins, pulling me to the flashing dance floor.

I don't dance often. In fact, I think that the last time I danced was in the 10th grade at prom.

It didn't go well.

Tonight wasn't great, either. But it wasn't my dancing that caused that.

"Hey, Sexy." I heard the voice from the side of me, but I didn't take note of it. However, it quickly became very important to me when I heard a soft smack, and then a gasp that was clearly from my Rainbow love. My head snaps over, looking in her direction. "Dash?" She was looking at a stallion, backing off from him. He had a hoof on her body, trailing downwards. I've never fought a pony before, and I had never had an intention to. But when I saw this stallion touching Dash...I did something dumb.

My hoof stung. I bared my teeth at the stallion. I had just brought my hoof across his chin as hard as I could, and I was feeling fantastic about myself. I had just defended Dash. I began having doubts when the stallion looked back at me with a very irritated expression. Suddenly, I found myself watching the stationary hooves of ponies, staring at me. The bright floor flooded my right side of vision. I thought about going to bed, until my ears started ringing and a sharp pain shot through the left side of my head. Is someone stomping on my head? As I looked up to the stallion who had assaulted me, another firm hoof found it's way into the bridge of my nose, sending another sharp pain through my head. Rainbow shouted something, but several more shots of pain told me he kept beating on me. After her stopped, my limp body was hoisted onto hers. When I opened my eyes, we were flying. Seeing the clouds below me made me smile before I passed out.

I woke up to a very familiar scene, different now, though. It was my home. That same warmth was pressed against me, but protectively. I made a motion to hug her back, but winced. "My head." I set a hoof on my forehead. My whole body ached. I couldn't remember well, but I think that stallion had done this to me. I wasn't worried about it now, though, because, once again, I had woken up next to the girl in my bed.
