Princess Celestia walked down the hallways of Canterlot, having woken up only a few minutes ago. She moved with slow, gentle-paced strides, and took a left to go down the stairs. Her wings gently twitched as she entered the throne room of Canterlot. Sitting down in the beautiful throne that many ponies often said expressed regalia and beauty. Celestia never viewed it as such.. It was a simple chair, for lack of better words. She glanced at her royal guards, and they bowed for the white alicorn. She nodded gently, and they stood straight once again. A maid came in, a blue aura surrounding the plate she levitated. It swiftly moved over to the front of the princess, its blue aura turning a shimmery gold-yellow. "Thank you, miss Shiverwell." She nodded to the mare dressed in a maid's outfit. The maid bowed, then walked back to her usual routine, a small 'clipclop' being heard as her hooves touched the ground. Celestia raised the small cup of tea, and stopped for a moment. Why did i raise it with my wings? She asked herself, realizing she had used her wing similar to how we use hands. Embarrassed, she moved it into her gentle yellow glow of magic. She realized she had done it on instinct for some odd reason. Was i preserving my magic? She considered, and stared at the cup for a moment. The yellow glow around it did seem.. fainter, then usual. It was a gentle difference, but it was there nonetheless. She lowered the cup then glanced at her mane. It was moving slower. She stood up. "I have business i must attend to.. I will be back in a moment, so please stay, Featherdust, Glory Shield." She raised her wings, and fluttered them to see how well they were moving. As per usual, they were swift and a shed feather swirled in the air, having fallen off her left wing. The sky was a soft blue, and she walked to the balcony. Celestia leaned backwards, wings spread wide. Her guards soon realized, and began quickly trotting over to stop her, but not this time. She sped off through the sky, mane swirling behind her. She knew she'd get a lecture about this, but Celestia didn't care as of right now. What was more important was finding Twilight, wherever she was right now. Was it Manehatten or her new castle? She didn't know. Castle first, Manehatten later. I don't want to deal with civilians in a situation like this right now. Landing on Twilight Sparkles' balcony, she strode in. A small purple dragon rushed up. "HALT INV- Princess Celestia? What are you doing here?!" He spoke quickly. "..Couldn't you have used the door?" He added. She grimaced, and realized Spike is probably too young to discuss the importance of the matters she had to speak about with Twilight, so she shook her head. "It does not concern you, Spike. Please carry on with what you are doing. Now, where is Twilight Sparkle?" She raised her head, mane still slightly crazy from when she flew at her top speed. He pointed down the hall. "Her room."
Celestia huffed, panting from the flight everstill, standing in Twilight's room. "..Well." She stood, wings twitching in worry. "Wait, why did you come to me about this and not Luna?" She looked at Celestia questioningly. ".. She hasn't dealt with magic draining, and she sleeps like a brick until noon." Celestia's outright use of not nearly as regal speech surprised Twilight. "Okay then.. I think we just need to figure out who is draining your magic, and then we can cancel the spell. We just need to know who is doing it!" She smiled for a moment, then frowned. "But we have no clue who could.. Wait, its not that simple of a spell.. A really magically skilled pony could do it, so the best suspects are..
Me, Luna, Cadance, Shining Armor, or even you if you were able to drain your own magic. Oh, and.. Discord. Hes one of the most likely, i have to admit." She raised her wings in an attempt to be a bit intimidating. "I can go get him, if necessary-" Twilight was interrupted by Discord's floating ear coming in, then dropping. "Sorry for eavesdropping.." ".. But i heard my name, and i noticed Missy Prissy-pants is here." He smiled at Celestia, but it was more playful and jokingly then warm. "Stop calling me that, Discord." Twilight snapped, then stood aside. "Somepony.. something?.. Somepony is draining Princess Celestia's magic." Discord frowned. "I did notice you seemed a bit weaker." He appeared next to Celestia, his hands under his chin, a white coat draped over him similar to a doctor. "Pray tell." He said, a halo appearing over his head. "Who might that be?" He asked, assuming they already know. "Discord, we don't know. We came to you in hopes you could help us figure out who IS draining Princess Celestia's magic."
Discord shrugged. "No clue. Bye!" He disappeared just like that.
"Are you kidding me?.." Twilight groaned, putting a hoof to her own face.
