I fucking hate Stable-Tec. Oh hello there, I am Fleetfoot, former Wonderbolt captain and sexiest mare in the world. What you were just listening to is a message I sent out to all nearby Rising Phoenix facilities. Yes yes I know, I know, not the most appropriate message for a commander of a military installation to send out, but I just really fucking hate Stable-Tec. Like really hate Stable-Tec, let me give you an example. Way back when, I was one lucky first ponies to test out the pip-bucks. I was there in the first place because I happened to be visiting Stable-Tec in Fillydephia, while on leave. I was asked by Scootaloo if I had time to spare. I agreed to help, since this was a great oppritunitey to try out new technology and try to become technologically savy like that Applebloom, who made the Pip-Buck. When first testing the thing, with it strapped to my hoof, it worked great. It was simple and not to complicated that only an egghead could use it. Everything was going great, until the part with that S.A.T.S thing. The Pip-Buck went haywire do and ended with the damn thing catching fire. The thing gave me some third degree burns and put me in the hospital for three weeks. I was of course compensated for my injuries by Scootaloo who apologied to me like a hundred times. I told it was fine and she has nothing to be sorry for, It wasn't her fault in the first place, which took for ever to convince her it wasn't. I really didn't blame her, but I did blame the Pip-Buck itself. Fucking Stable-Tec

Ok, I'm getting off track here. Now where was I....oh yeah, Project Rising Phoenix! Rising Phoenix was a project that was started in secret by the Ministry of Morale. Yeah I know right? This totally doesn't sound like a project that Pinkie Pie would start, but it was. I actually managed to ask her why  she came up with such a ridiculous idea and this is the answer I got. "Well I can't just tell you Fleety, it's going to be a surprise!" That's about all I got from her besides hearing her ramble about something called pinkie sense. Now that I think about it, I believe the Ministry of Image got involve for the last parts of the project. Man...that Rarity is a hot piece of candy... Oh crap, did I just say that? Uh just ignore that last part. Anyway, the idea behind the project was that if the world was thrown into chaos, then who would be around to rein in the chaos? That's where me and my Alpha Phoenix Pegasuses would come in. Me and a select group of Pegasuses, would be sealed in a bunker and placed in a magically induced coma for a certain amount of time, until the fallout of the Megaspells cleared and the magic radiation cleared from the air to safe levels. Me and my Pegasuses would wake up once everything on the surface was safe and begin to head out to the Stables to began aiding the ponies that are inside. Oh, if your wondering how the hell I'm still able to operate in the field at my age, when technically I'm older than those ministry mares, it's thanks to some experiment that the Ministry of Acrane Science was cooking up that ended badly for everypony besides myself. Yeah, it seems I have a bad track record with experiments. Anyway, I managed to survive whatever happened that day, which I still can't remember much about. The awesome thing was that It gave me my youth back. At that point in time, before the accident  I was too old to aid in the frontlines, but after the accident I was able to return to help out my fellow bolts. Now let me explain something before I continue and you're just left all get confused and shit. Age spells do exists, but area temporary thing that don't last forever without a continuous supply of magic from the unicorn that casted it in the first place. The thing that happened to me did not involve the age spell. My magical mishap happened with this nasty stuff called taint. I will not explain what it is because  I'm legally not allowed to discuss without the permission from both the Minitry of Arcane Science and the princesses. Plus I sort of don't remember what exactly happened that day. Ok, there you go, I explained Project Rising Phoenix, within legal capacity. I will not explain anymore, because I fear princess Luna more than anything. That crazy bitch scares the shit out of me and I don't want to be on her bad side. So yeah... That's about it. Now I'll continue off where I left off when that recording stopped.

I couldn't believe my eyes on what I was seeing. In front of me was my left hoof, jammed a good amount into the terminal of a Stable Tec computer. The very terminal that ran the communications for Bunker Alpha, the same bunker that I was still in, under a couple hundred tons of rock and dirt. This is a Pegasus's worst nightmare. Trapped in a small room, underground with no way to communicate to the outside world, let alone having access to the open skies.  I should be panicking right now. I really should, but for whatever reason fear never sets in. All I can do is laugh. Laugh until I no longer can stand and fall to the floor, with my hoof still stuck into the terminal.

"Hee he he ha ha, I... I c..an't st..op laau hee ha ha ha laughing! This I...is to ha ha ha too funny!" I continued to laugh with no end in sight. I just don't know what had come over me. I couldn't help but laugh more, even with bits of metal and glass digging into my hoof and foreleg. Maybe I was laughing because in my fit of anger I finally destroyed the bane of my existence, technology. I couldn't help but laugh even more at the though of me standing over the terminal in a triumphant pose. I continued to laugh, until another thought popped into my head on why I was laughing. Or Maybe...Maybe it's the fact that I destroyed the only way for me to communicate with the rest of my company. That though cut right through my laughing fit, like the metal and glass into my hoof. The room was silent for about 10 seconds, until I burst into another round of laughter. In my mine, It was either of those two that I was sure of. But that still didn't help me from a hystrical laughing fit. I was a mad mare at this point with my excessive giggling.

Eventually, I started to calm down from my impromptu hysteria and began to collect myself off of the floor. Through out the whole time my hoof had remained inside the broken terminal. I placed my good hoof against the adjacent wall to the terminal and readied for myself to pull. "Fuuuck...this is going to hurt." I muttered to myself. In one quick motion, I yanked my hoof from the broken terminal. The moment I pulled, blood immiedatly started to pour from my open wounds. It hurt like a bitch, but the pain wasn't anything new to me. I was on the frontl, so I recieved quite a few battle scars. Some I'm proud of, others not so much.

I finally got my hoof free from that stupid terminal, but not without cost. I looked at my hoof and just looked at the damage my anger had done.  My hoof looked like it had gotten stuck in the gears of that dizzy machine from the Wonderbolts academy. Dear Celestia, I hated that machine. It always made me hurl no matter how many times I went through it. I really hate technology. Those wounds  were pretty nasty looking, especially the one that still had a chunk of glass in it. I sighed to myself. "Damn it Fleetfoot, this is not the attitude of a commander. A commander has to remain calm and collected, not short fused and brash."

With a quick breathing exercise to calm myself, I limped out of the communications room and began to head towards sick bay. I entered into the hall way and was greeted by the same dull grey that greeted every pony that entered a stable. The layout of this bunker is based on the Stable-Tec stables that were used to shelter ponies from the bale fire bombs. The difference  between the two is that the bunker has only the basics of the average stable and the stasis-spell chambers. Those chambers are where myself and other soldiers were put to be put to sleep through a series of complex spells that not only keep us a sleep, but also prevent our bodies from breaking down.

Before heading towards sickbay, I took a quick glance towards a certain door on the opposite end of the hall way. I shook my head and just gave a disappointing look. "Now's not the time. Worry about it later." I began to trot towards sick bay, but not before taking one last look at that door, before rounding the corner.

It didn't take long before I reached sickbay. The door opened and I was greeted by one of those robots with the actual pony brain. I shuttered at the sight of this abomination. I couldn't stand the sight of those things, but I sucked it up because my hoof needed medical attention. I walked up to the thing and in my usual military voice, got its attention. "This is Commender Fleetfoot of Alpha Phoenix, requesting medical attention!"

My voice seemed to spook the robot as it seemed to jump to attention. It turned to me and began to stare at me with those soulless eyes. It was silent for a few seconds before finally speaking. "Greetings Commander, I am Red Cross medic pony model P-77, how may I be of assistance?"

I gave it a blank expression and just lifted my blooded hoof. I didn't bother saying anything, because it's a bit obvious that my hoof needed the attention. The stupid robot just eyed me again for another few seconds. "Oh! One moment please." The robot rushed over to one of the cabnits and started pulling out a varity of stuff. After a few minutes that robot came back to me with some healing potions and some other medical stuff like bandages and disinfectant. It only took that thing a few seconds to clean out my wounds and properly wrap them in some bandages. The robot pony stood back and with a creepy smile told me that my wounds were now tended to. "Is there anything else that's needed Commander?" The medic bot ask me.

I still had my blank expression on from the moment I saw the thing. "No...you're dismissed." I said in a monotone voice. It thanked me for stoping by and I promptly left the sickbay area. The moment those doors shut and I wasn't in the immediate vicinity to sickbay, I started to shutter in disgust. "Ehh! I can't believe I let it touch me with those...those things!" I was half tempted to just rip those bandages off, but I know I have to leave them on to allow me wounds to heal properly. With a final shutter, I finally began to head towards the area that I was supposed to go to the moment I had woken up.

It only toke me a few minutes worth of a trot to reach my destination, the main terminal for Bunker Alpha. The room's layout was simple, with rows of terminals for all of those eggheads and a big monitor mounted on the wall to display what's been going on in the outside world. I trotted up to one of the terminals and booted it up. Hey, just because I hate technology, doesn't mean I don't know the basics. The moment I logged in with my password, I was meet with a shit storm of error codes and warnings that I don't even have half a clue on what they mean. I groaned in annoyance and began sifting through the system on what I could do. I spent the next hour just trying to use any program that wasn't riddled with errors. I grumbled to myself and pressed on through the system of Bunker Alpha. Eventually I had a break through with the system.

"Yes! exterior cameras to Bunker Alpha's main door." I clicked on the option to view the live feed. It took a moment for those cameras to boot because it's been an unknown amount of time since they were last used. I waited and waited and waited. I was starting to become impatient with how slow the system was taking, so I clicked on the option to view the exterior cameras again. This time I got just static from the live feed and an error message on the bottom of the screen, saying. [Error. Unable to connect due to malfunction] I groaned in anger and promptly face hoofed my head with terminal screen. "Why do you do this to me?"

Taken another round of breathing exercises, I got back to working with the terminal. With another, I don't know, hour or two, I managed to get the controls for the main door reconnected to the main system and operating. I took a sigh of relief. Finally, something going right for once. I smirked at the terminal. "See, you can't keep Fleetfoot trapped in here with your error codes. I can beat you at your own game."

Now that was said, I left the system to automated and began to head out of the main Terminal room. The only thing left for me to do was to collect my gear and head to the designated meetup point for Project Rising Phoenix. I started to head towards the main door, but not before taking one final look at the door I was eyeing earlier. I wanted to go through there, but.... It just wasn't right to head through there. With one final disappointing head shake, I continued to head to the main door for Bunker Alpha. On the path towards the main door, I have to pass through the armory, before heading out. Just because I'm the second most awesome mare, doesn't mean I can survive what ever is living in Equestria, if anything at all. I also have to protect against that awful magic radiation. I've seen what that stuff can do to a pony and I don't want it happening to me, despite the fact that this magnificent body already had a bad run in with taint.

It didn't take me long to find the armory and the storage locker that contained my gear. I walked up to the locker and punched in the combination for it. It hissed as the locks disengaged and the door slowly opened. Inside was a masterpiece of pony engineering and arcane science.

In front of me, still mounted on the wall, was the TB-52 Hurricane pegasus armor. Orginally based on the frame from the pegasus  armor. It has been heavily modified, with the systems that are found in those Pip-bucks and weaponry that was still in prototype stage. Mounted on both forelegs are automatic energy pistols, which was nicknamed the Red Rain. These babies are built with self recharging spark batteries that are connected to the main power sorce of the suit, so essentially, they never run dry. That also goes for the Expermiental Buccaneer Blaze. A Rail cannon that is permanently attached to the armor, due to the fact that the only power source strong enough to power this badass of a weapon is the complex Tailsman that's  contained on the underside of the suit and the fact that the recoil from it breaks the components of a normal battle sadal that keeps the weapon attached . The final weapon that's attached to the suit is the electrified tail that is tipped with a razor sharp blade. The suit also comes with a full life support system that allows me to walk in any high irradiated area. The armor also has a standard issue magical plasma rifle from the Ministry of Arcane science. The thing still requires a standard Spark battery to work. This armor is one of the most badass things I've ever seen and I'm glad it's mine to use. The only problem with the suit is the fact that it weighs a ton and a pony has to have extensive experience with aeral combat and maneuvering. If they don't, then this armor will break their bones through the G-forces that this thing generates. Plus the Buccaneer blaze's recoil breaks the average pony's collar bone and also tears several ligament muscles in the legs when fired on the ground. That's why they had only one test pony to survive that monstrosity of a suit of armor without serious injuries. That pony was me because I'm awesome. But then again, I can't last too long in it. Maybe an hour of combat at tops, before I collapse from exhaustion.

I was practically drooling at this point as I admired the masterpiece of death that stood before me. I still couldn't believe this was the armor that the Ministry of Morale or rather Pinkie Pie gave me for my position as Commander of Alpha Phoenix. Maybe this was the surprise that Pinkie said was waiting for me. If it is, then I have to find that pony's kids and give them a fucking hug. I was so giddy I instantly started to put the armor on. It took some time to get on, but it was worth it. It felt snug to me, as if it was designed to fit my body perfectly.  It fit perfectly, but damn I forgot how heavy this thing can be. It was like wearing that armor from the Minitry of Technology, bulky and makes flying difficult. Then again I was a Wonderbolt for Celestia sakes so I can take the punishment.

With the TB-52 Hurricane now equipped to my body, I finally headed towards the main door for Bunker Alpha. It didn't take long for me to get there. The main entrance also served as a loading dock for the supplies that were needed to run the bunker properly. The room still looked exactly the same from the moment I entered this place. Crates of supplies, weapons, and technology scattered about, still untouched from the moment I went under. I shook my head in disappointment at the sight of all this unused material. It only brought up the thoughts of going back to that door, but I surpressed that thought. I had a mission to do and nothing is going to stop me, no matter how much it hurt.

I trotted up to the main control panel and punched in the codes that opened the huge blast doors. With a push of a hoof to a big red button, the blast doors screeched to life as they opened for the first time since they've been closed. I took a step back from the main control panel and stood in front of the blast doors. With a final breath I trotted towards the opened blast doors. "Let's finally see what those Zebras did to my home."

I took off into a run, out of the bunker. The moment I was out of the bunker i was meet by a site I didn't expect. In front of me was a camp that had been built in front of the entrance of the bunker. It looked like a shanty town to me, with a few standing structures that were taller than the average dead tree that seemed to litter the landscape. I trotted into the camp and was meet by ponies. They weren't your friendly pony from Equestria, but rather something twisted and evil in comparison. Several of ponies looked like they hadn't eaten in a long time and had that crazy psycho look to them. All of them were armed with rifles, pistols, and what seemed to be... home appliances? They were all earth ponies, so I had the advantage of air superiority. This was going to end badly... for them, so I decided to give them a chance to surrender. "Stand down or I will be forced to use lethal force." I yelled out towards them. I saw the despreation in their eyes and knew they weren't going to surrender.

"Kill it!"

That was all that was said before opening fire upon me. I Immediatly took to the sky and began to use my hoof mounted weapon, Red Rain. This caused them to scatter about and head to the shacks for cover. My flying and Red Rain didn't scare them like i expected, nor did it stop them from trying to shoot me out of the sky. I need to end this fight quick and put them into submission. I maybe a soldier, but it doesn't mean I like to shoot ponies that look like they hadn't eating in weeks. Before doing another strafing run through the largest group of hostiles, I spotted something hanging from a dead tree. It was a banner that said surprise with Pinkie pie's face on it. I could only stare at that banner in utter disbelief.

"This is some sick kind of surprise Pinkie." I said before returning fire back to the hostiles that were still peppering me with bullets.
