Colt with a Secret

"Don't forget to finish your poems for homework. Your all dismissed. " All the foals ran out the doors to go home. With the exemption of the CMC who were going to Twilight's castle and Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon who were staying after for their first day of their two week detetention.

When they entered the castle they were greeted by the alicorn twilight. "Hello girls. How may I help you she asked.

They explained to her about Night and she was very skeptical. " I don't know girls, what your telling me about this colt doesn't seem right. And I have read everything that involves increasing magic power and there are no such things as hoodies that do such a thing." She stopped for a moment and started thinking. " Although I may have a talk with him. Do you girls know were Night lives?"

"I DO!"yelled Pinkie Pie who came out of thin air. "I'm throwing him and his aunt a welcome to Ponyville party tonight and you are all invited. His address are in these invitations. Starts at 5, don't be late." She disappeared into thin air.

"Well that answers my question." She then looked at the clock. "Well it starts in ten minutes. so we should probably go now. Come on spike."

They reached the house which was near the edge of town and saw there were party balloons and streamers everywhere. They went inside and saw that the house looked like any other normal house except for the party stuff.

Twilight and the CMC saw the colt in question drinking the punch not looking like he's enjoying the party at all. "Hello, are you Night?"she said. When Night looked at her his eyes went wide with fear. Twilight noticed and asked."Don't worry, just because i'm a princess doesn't mean you're in trouble. Now I just would like to ask a few questions."

"Hello, you must be Princess Twilight Sparkle. "Said a voice. They looked and saw a red mare with a blue mane and green eyes and had a cutie mark with a plate and food on it. "My names Sky, Knight's aunt. I just got a job at the café near here.

"Hello nice to meet you, you can just call me Twilight by the way. I have a question to ask you and your nephew. These girls say they saw him use some pretty advanced magic for his age at school today. Is it true he can do it?"

" Oh yes, he has always been good at magic since he was a foal. I'm surprised he hasn't got a cutie mark for magic by now."

"If he's really that good than why don't you enroll him at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. I'm sure he'd like it there."

"Oh , he can't go there because um... he doesn't really like Cantorlot. We pretty much think almost everypony there are just stuck up. Well except for you of course, your actually nice."

"I honestly don't know whether I should be offended or not." Twilight joked."Why did you decide to come to Ponyville?"

Oh, we just couldn't afford to live in Cantorlot anymore. "
"Wait, you lived in Cantorlot, but you just said you don't like the ponies there?"
"Um.... hey Night, why don't you tell them about yourself. "Sky said sounding like she was trying to change the topic.
Pinkie then once again came out of nowhere. "Why don't you tell us about yourself."
"First of all if you surprise me like that again you WILL regret it. "
"NIGHT!"
"Sorry, I didn't mean it. Anyway I like to read books, that's one thing about me."
"Oh, what books do you like to read? " asked Twilight.
"Mostly horror, especially the Ponybumps books. You know, the ones by K.L Frank."

"Um, those are supposed to be really scary." said Applebloom

"I know, that's why I like them. I also play guitar."

"Really?" Said a new voice. Rainbow Dash flew on the ground and asked. "Dude, I don't know any pony here who knows how to play besides Vinyl Scratch. Names Rainbow Dash by the way."
"Oh, so you're that super cocky egomaniac I heard about."
"What, who calls me that?"
"The animal keeper Fluttershy. I went to her cottage after school today so she can check on my cat."
"Well, me and her are going to have a talk then." Rainbow then flew off with an angry look on face.

"What you have ah cat?" Applebloom said. Then right on cue a black cat jumped on Night's back.
"Wow, she acts a lot better than my sisters cat."

Sky then spoke." Well it's been a nice party do far, but we go to bed pretty early and were already tired so I hope we can end this party now."
After she said that everypony started leaving. Right when Applebloom was about to leave she was stopped when Night put a hoof on shoulder." You know, you should probably take off the ribbon. I'd think you look better." When she got home she took off the ribbon and saw that she did look good without it.

Applejack then came in her room."Hey sis why did you take your ribbon off? "
" Somepony just thought I would look better without it. And he was right."
