It's the Winter Solstice. Ponyville has been visited by a traveling show that performs all across Equestria for the enjoyment of ponies everywhere.

One member of the traveling show has a hidden past that nopony knows. All they know is that he never tells the same story twice. He looks like an earth pony but had wings crafted from metal.

Twilight had no intention of going to see Ponyville's Winter Solstice Show that year until Applejack convinced her to attend. All because of a strange little colt with metallic wings and a story on his lips…
