Something was supposed to happen. I couldn’t see the sky cause I’m blind, but ... the air felt disturbed. It was unstable, changing its power and direction rapidly. The Pegasus didn’t do a good work today. Or did they ? Or this was just a sign that something sinister is coming ? I could care less, I thought it wouldn’t concern me... That’s what I ‘thought’ at least. I shook off this hard thinking. It was making my head just dizzy ! I casted Insight and quickly checked the sky. Kind of dark... Something was sure to happen. I was told that somepony called Twilight Sparkle could knew more. She was in the library – place I really don’t like to visit. I haven’t read anything since years ! Well ... besides that one ‘letter’ for me from Fillydelphia. But that doesn’t count! Good that i know Ponyville very well. I could locate my way through whole town with just my memory. It just took more time, i had to be careful so i wouldn’t fall, trip or run into somepony. I entered the library. It looked like a big tree. I actually like such design – so natural! When I went inside, a small creature came to me. He ... looked like a dragon. But why so small dragon? “How can i help you miss?!” he said happily. He made a good impression – eloquent, smiling, clean. You couldn’t say that about me for sure ... I looked kind of , hehe , surprised and messy. “H-hello ? That also wouldn’t concern me if not the fact that he tripped and thrown this dust at me. I felt like i was stroke with lightning. Paralyzed, strength-less, weak... I fell unconscious. “Sweet Celestia, Nina, are you ok?!” Twilight was calling me ... I still couldn’t move my body but I managed to answer “ I g-guess ... this d-dust was something y-yours ? W-why it had such effect on m-me ?”. Twilight used her magic and levitated me onto bed. It was one of best solutions. To go to sleep. Simple yet helpful! “Nina ... I don’t know what this dust done to you but ... I think you better go to sleep. We’ll see what happened after you ... wake up.” That was very reassuring - ‘ I don’t know what happened but we’ll see later’. I smirked “ Y-you’re right ... Ch. 2I finally woke up. It was easy to get up, I got all of my strength back. I opened eyes and looked at the room i was in. It was much bigger, filled with objects I've never seen. It wasn't suited for a pony for sure. This room's furniture didn't look like pony made, a filly like me would have a problem sitting on ... something like that. Everything was just too big. The bed I slept in ... it could fit 2 ponies ! Some square box on table was playing weird music. II sighed and rubbed my eyes. ...My eyes ? I didn't use magic. How could I see ? Did I regain my sight?! I just had to check it ! The room had a big mirror. I quickly ran towards it and when I saw myself... I smiled happily and cried tears of joy. My eyes... were colorful. They were navy, not grey ! I finally cured my blind eyes. How happy I was! I started to jump around , screaming and laughing! At least I was doing this before some weird creature went inside the door. It was two times bigger than a common pony. Almost two meters... and it was walking on two legs. It's face was oval. It also had slight beard, moustache and long black mane. I never saw such creature before. I quickly backed away and hid in room counter. What should I do ... ? How will this creature react ? I could only wait. "What is this shouting in my roo-" it said but stopped when it saw me. It could speak ? Better for me, i could at least communicate with it. "W-wh-what are you ?! I'm Nina." after that, I calmed down a bit ... but he , or she still wasn't very enthusiastic about this meeting. " That's not how ponies look like in this world ... and they do NOT talk." It also calmed down a bit but I still could see the confuse on it's face. "My name is Quilen. How did you get here and what are you doing in my room?!" the last sentence sounded a bit aggressive. "In y-your room ? But i went to sleep in Twilight's room ... Are we in Equestria ? " That was the most basic question I came up with. "What 'Equestria' ? We're on Planet Earth. " World i come from is called Equestria and is filled with ponies and other woodland creatures ... but i never saw a Human there ! Yes, I am a Unicorn. Saying that , he quickly ran out of his room, leaving me alone. I had time to look around. There were objects i knew from my world, like basic furniture ( just bigger! )or library filled with books. Just this square box on the table was very interesting for me ... It was playing some kind of very loud music, with 'humans' shouts. It gave some strange light from it. When Quilen came back, I asked him about this. He only laughed and said " Oh , but this is a computer ! A very helpful thing ! " ... Computer ? Nothing I ever heard about . When he gave me the sandwich , I ate it so quickly. At least I wasn't hungry anymore. Quilen came up with something " Say Nina... If you got here with sleeping, why not go to sleep again ? You could possibly be back. " "Are you trying to tell me this is a dream ? " "No , because I'm not sleeping for sure. But we try something. " he went somewhere and brought a black marker. He signed 'Quilen' on my hoof and said " If this is a dream, you shouldn't have this on your hoof when you come back right ? " he smiled and i shared his feeling. That was smart , yet so simple. I nodded and went back to bed, but ... I couldn't sleep. " I like you Quilen ... will we ever meet again ? ". He only smiled back at me and said " We sure will!" I wasn't very satisfied with that answer so I took the marker away from him and said " Let me sign too ! So you won't forget about me !" He extended his upper limb " Here ! It also had slight beard, moustache and long black mane. I never saw such creature before. I quickly backed away and hid in room counter. What should I do ... ? How will this creature react ? I could only wait. "What is this shouting in my roo-" it said but stopped when it saw me. It could speak ? Better for me, i could at least communicate with it. "W-wh-what are you ?! " I asked ... as in I shouted. "This is my question ! What are you ?!" I heard in answer. So it was as surprised as me... ? "I-i am a p-pony. What kind of being y-you are?" I tried to be more brave but my hooves were shaking. " I am a being ?! I'm a human ! And ponies don't look like you ! " This 'human' extended one of his upper limbs and pointed at me. How could he stand on only two legs ? I went a bit closer and said loudly "What are you saying?! That's how ponies look like! I am a young pony ... a filly in other words ! I'm Nina." after that, I calmed down a bit ... but he , or she still wasn't very enthusiastic about this meeting. " That's not how ponies look like in this world ... and they do NOT talk." It also calmed down a bit but I still could see the confuse on it's face. "My name is Quilen. How did you get here and what are you doing in my room?!" the last sentence sounded a bit aggressive. "In y-your room ? But i went to sleep in Twilight's room ... Are we in Equestria ? " That was the most basic question I came up with. "What 'Equestria' ? We're on Planet Earth. Explain yourself Nina..." it sighed , thinking that it would only get more complicated. I didn't know what to say. What 'Earth'? What humans? This was just too weird... but i wanted to know how i got in here and how can i get out of here. "My friend Spike accidentally threw some weird, magic dust on me. I feinted and woke up here ... You want to say that I'm alone in this 'Planet Earth' ? I'm the only pony in here , among all these 'humans'? " I started to panic. Forever alone – it was worse than being blind. And Quilen ... it looked a bit troubled and uneasy. It came to me and patted me on my head, with a smile " Come on Nina... Everything will be all right. I know that you feel alone here, but we'll find a way back ! Somehow... " It didn't sound very sure about that. I looked at him " You're very kind for a creature ... I've never seen! Tell me more about yourself ! Are you male or female ? This hair on your head – it's your mane ? Do you fly or use magic ? Where is your tail ? What's your cutie mark ? How many other 'humans' are there? How can you stand on those two ... limbs?" I don't know why but suddenly , I just had to ask about EVERYTHING. He sat near me " Don't label me as creature! I'm a human being ... just call me by my name. No, we don't have wings, nor we can use magic. Yes, that hair on my head is my 'mane'... I guess. I don't have a tail. There are too many humans for you to comprehend ... I'm male. I don't know what cutie mark is. These 'limbs' I stand on are called 'legs' and the upper ones I eat with, or point with are called 'hands'. Simple right ?" he answered every single question just like that. But this time, it was his turn to ask ! " Now tell me. What is this world you come from ? Do you have some sort of special abilities? Why you are so colorful ? What is this 'cutie mark'? Do you have your family ? Is every pony out there as small as you ? How old are you ? What is this weird ... horn on your forehead? Are you an Unicorn ? How old are ponies in general?" Too many questions ... I had to think about it – about how to answer him without making this more confusing ! I sighed , my turn to answer. " World i come from is called Equestria and is filled with ponies and other woodland creatures ... but i never saw a Human there ! Yes, I am a Unicorn. " I pointed my hoof at the horn "This is my horn. I'm a small pony, because I'm only 9 years old. That's called 'filly'. Yes, i have a family. Cutie mark is a special sign everypony with special talent get. It normally appears on our flanks." I hit my flank and showed my cutie mark – 3 black dots. Symbol of Blindness. " As for special abilities – I can only use magic slightly. Nothing special. Simple right ?" We both started laughing, but quickly stopped. He stared at me. " Magic ?! Show me ! " Quilen said with excitement in his voice. I shrugged and levitated some kind of pillow that lied on the bed. He had his eyes full of sparkles ! "That is so awesome ! We can't do something like that ! " I blushed and set down the pillow back on it's place. I started to be hungry " Quilen, can I eat something here ? " I hope that they had some good food here at very least. But he looked at me , with very confusing look. " What do you eat normally ... ? I have meat , cheese and bread but I guess you don't eat this kind of stuff." "Can you get me just some fresh grass sandwich ? I really hope there IS grass in this world or i'll starve! " He only hit his head with his ... limb and said " How stupid of me ! You're a pony – It was obvious that you would eat hay! Let me get some for you." Saying that , he quickly ran out of his room, leaving me alone. I had time to look around. There were objects i knew from my world, like basic furniture ( just bigger! )or library filled with books. Just this square box on the table was very interesting for me ... It was playing some kind of very loud music, with 'humans' shouts. It gave some strange light from it. When Quilen came back, I asked him about this. He only laughed and said " Oh , but this is a computer ! A very helpful thing ! " ... Computer ? Nothing I ever heard about . When he gave me the sandwich , I ate it so quickly. At least I wasn't hungry anymore. Quilen came up with something " Say Nina... If you got here with sleeping, why not go to sleep again ? You could possibly be back. " "Are you trying to tell me this is a dream ? " "No , because I'm not sleeping for sure. But we try something. " he went somewhere and brought a black marker. He signed 'Quilen' on my hoof and said " If this is a dream, you shouldn't have this on your hoof when you come back right ? " he smiled and i shared his feeling. That was smart , yet so simple. I nodded and went back to bed, but ... I couldn't sleep. " I like you Quilen ... will we ever meet again ? ". He only smiled back at me and said " We sure will!" I wasn't very satisfied with that answer so I took the marker away from him and said " Let me sign too ! So you won't forget about me !" He extended his upper limb " Here ! " I signed up with 'Nina' I done it as beautiful I could! He smiled at me and we both said " So we will never forget each other!" Assured that we shall meet again... I fell asleep. Knowing that when I wake up, I'll be not the same filly i been.
This dream... ? Ch. 3„Hey, Nina! You allright ?“ ... This voice ? Twilight ... ? “Hey, snap out of it ! I know you’re awake now so answer me at least !” I had to answer or this pony would never let me sleep more... “ Yes... I’m allright. Where are we ?” “We’re in same place silly ! Ponyville, in my library! “ I opened eyes but... I didn’t see. Was this all ... just a dream? “How long I slept ? “ Twilight was silent for a moment, but started to talk “ I don’t know ... When you fell asleep, you just disappeared from bed. Just ‘poofed’! I can’t explain why or how. But that’s a fact.” I used my spell and looked at my hoof. ‘Quilen’. For the first time, I was truly speechless. What in the world happened ... ? “ You know Twilight... I woke up in some weird world , called ‘Planet Earth’. It’s inhabitants call themselves ‘humans’... They walk on two legs, they talk like us and they have no magic present in their world. And this wasn’t a dream” I shown my hoof to Twilight “This is undeniable proof ! A human called Quilen signed up on my hoof , as a promise that we’ll meet again!” I smiled because it was great adventure for me ! But Twilight had a very worried face. “Nina, I advice you don’t go to sleep for some time ... Nopony can guarantee your safety while you travel like that ! It’s best you stay awake till we can think something how to stop it. “ “... Stop it?! But I very like it ! I wanna go again ! I wonder if I’ll visit other human in other bed ! “ I was very excited about this ! This was so big fun to me ! I wanted to go again , and again, and again! But Twilight and Spike held me down. “ No, you won’t ! This is very dangerous and we don’t want anything bad to happen!” “Oh, geez! Come on – let me have some fun ! I won’t disappear forever ! I can go back whenever i want ! All i need to do , is just to go back sleeping in same bed ! It’s so simple... “ I looked at Twilight, trying to convince her, but she just started to hold me even tighter. “ NO! I need to contact Princess Celestia about these humans and that dust ... Wait here.” I stared at her as she trotted downstairs. “I’m sorry Nina ... it’s all my fault.” Spike apologized to me ... he looked very worried and guilty. “It’s ok Spike. I know how you can repay me ! “ I smiled widely. “What can I do for you miss?” “Let me go.” I said quietly. Spike was silent ... but , in the end, he sighed and let me go. “ Least I can do ... I hope that my Nr 1 Assistant title won’t be taken away because of this.” He smiled and pointed to the exit. I quickly ran out of library! Back to my own home , where my parents waited . I didn’t hope that they would understand why I was off for so long but I know that I would do same on their place. “Where have you been Nina?!” Both my mother and father asked same question. “I was ... in the library!” That was the truth, but it’s hard to accept so unlikely truth. “Yes. We DO believe you. Now don’t lie and tell me where you were ?!” They almost shouted ! “But I REALLY was in the library ! You can go and ask Twilight Sparkle or Spike about this ! They live there ! They will tell you the truth if you don’t believe me.” I shrugged. I was clean ! “ You’re grounded. And nothing you can do about this.” Haha... but this is what I wanted! “Okay ... “ I went upstairs , with a let down, fake face. “Just wait a minute ! What is on your hoof?” My mother , Sheena, has good eyes. She spotted it ... “This is ... a sign from my human friend!” “Why are you lying all the time ... ? There are no creatures we know that we call ‘humans’! Why can’t you just say what pony wrote that ? “ “But ... this is the truth... I say the honest truth !” “Upstairs ! NOW! And go to sleep or something. The only thing you are allowed to do. “ They sounded very angry ... I don’t like when my parents are angry. “... Ok.” I went upstairs. I entered my room and closed the door. The bed... is my new world ! I had to take advantage of this. I quickly stopped casting my ‘Insight’ spell and went to bed. Sadly, forcing yourself to sleep takes you nowhere ... I can’t sleep. What can I do...? I know ! I just need to use my spell ! I casted ‘Insight’ and waited in my bed, humming happily. If i could get myself tired from casting this spell , sleeping would be easy! 10 minutes passed. I felt that i was getting slowly tired but ... that was too slow. I focused a bit and levitated some of my room belongings , such as my saddlebags, plants and chairs. I was exhausted in no time. Every item I used for this, fell on the ground with loud noise and I immediately went to sleep. Kurado and Sheena entered my room , to check if everything is ok. That noise isn’t something a small, blind filly like me could make anytime. Seeing that i was sleeping, they left the room, locking the door. And I ... already traveled.
