Twilight and The Smooth Criminal
It was just another midnight, a nice quiet midnight with the rain sprinkling ever softly. Luna's light filled the sky with its beautiful majesty. Each street was lit with the glow of a lantern. Everypony was in a happy mood. There didn't seem to be a problem with the world. Ponies stopped by to say hello. They didn't even mind the puddles they were trotting in. It was about time to close up shop for every store in Manehatten. Even the luxurious jewelry stores. The ones that housed the magnificent, shimmering, blue diamonds. Magnificent yes. But was it going to be there for long? No. No it wasn't.
A shadowy and mysterious mare on top the roof of a building watched as the shopkeeper locked the door to the jewelry store, knowing perfectly well this was the time to strike. The shopkeeper went out in the rain and walked to his home, not knowing of the danger his store would be in. The shadow mare was in a suit as black as night with a cape. She had a grey mane and one particular necklace with a jewel around her neck. Only her horn, eyes and nuzzle were seen. With the help of a grappling hook, she shot the window, breaking the glass. Now, she had a way in. She swooped down, cape in the wind, and jumped in the jewelry store through the window. A alarm immediately went off. But the mare didn't care. The room was filled with red curtains made with silk. The floor was glass and cold. Basically, everything that comes to mind when you think of the word, "fancy".
She somersaulted through the room looking for her prize. She then stopped and saw a sign that said "Big Diamond". The mare rolled her eyes and went in that direction. Feeling lucky today, the mare sort of danced to a unknown rhythm. And quietly she began to sing.
"She came broke in through the window, and she was grand as a crescendo." The mare sang as she mockingly hid behind a bust of Luna. "She broke into his jewel store, like he has never seen before." She continued as she "accidentally" made the bust fall on the floor. "He went outside and went home. She could see it was all alone." The mare sang to the broken bust on the floor. "So she ran into the hall room. She had grabbed it. Miss Lulamoon!" The mare sang as she kicked away the broken pieces of the bust. The shadowy mare then strutted down the hall.
"Jewelry are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay jewelry? Tell papa that you're okay! You okay?" The mare sang as she quickly moved to a bust of Celestia and leaned on it as she put her left hoof on her own forehead. "My precious jewelry! Jewelry are you okay? You okay? You okay jewelry? Jewelry are you okay? You okay? My jewelry! Where is my jewelry?" The mare sang as she span the bust around like a wheel. "Jewelry are you okay? Jewelry can you tell papa that you're okay!" She sang as she grabbed the bust and danced with it down the hall like two ballroom dancers.
"There's broken glass near the window! And she took you! A crescendo jewelry!" The mare sang as she threw the bust over her head, breaking it. "She came in to my jewel store! Just like I have never seen before! Then she ran into the hall room! You were stolen! It was Lulamoon!" The mare sang as she put her hooves in the air and danced down the hallway.
"Jewelry are you okay? You okay? Are you okay, jewelry?" The mare sang as she jumped around putting jewels in her pockets hastily. "Jewelry, are you okay? You okay? Are you okay?"
She went into the main hall where the "star attraction" was held preciously in glass. The Diamond of Dogs. It was under a spotlight and looked like it bathed in Celestia's light. The mare reached in her pocket for a gun. "Jewelry! Jewelry, are you okay?" She sang as she tried to find her gun. She couldn't find it. Naturally, she grabbed the nearest chair and threw it at the glass. With the glass broken, the mare grabbed the diamond and went our like she came in. Through the window. "Are you okay? Are you okay, jewelry?" The mare sang as she jumped out the window with her hooves in the air. She didn't think that the police would be there surrounding her. She was shocked.
"Freeze thief!" One of them shouted. The mare was in terror. Shortly, she smiled.
"I prefer the title 'treasure hunter'." The mare said as she threw a smoke bomb on the ground, shortly blinding the police. When the smoke cleared, she was gone. The only thing left was a card with a signature emerald on it. It said:
You've been hit by a smooth Lulamoon.
"Quick! I want every pony on our force searching for her!" The chief shouted. The police scrambled all over Manehatten, searching for this phantom "Smooth Lulamoon". They searched in every house, in every nook, every cranny but to no avail. There was no catching the thief.
Meanwhile, up on a far away rooftop, a shadowy mare watched as the streets of Manehatten were filled with chaos and red and blue lights everywhere. She chuckled to herself and moved on to the next town. She didn't even know what the name of the next town was. All she knew, is that there was a pot of gold at the end of its rainbow. And it was waiting for her to snatch it. Or so she thought.
