A cool breeze drifted across the room, bringing with it the scent of freshly baked goods. Wow. What a way to wake up… Not a sound could be heard. No cars whizzing by, no angry, snooty Canterlottians, rushing their children across the road, no angry Taxi drivers, no…
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Silence.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
Silence.
“I know you’re in there, Sweetie, don’t play dead with me!” Sweet Spell let out a sigh, lifting her head from the pillow to look up at the door. “Hurry up and open the door already, balancing on my hind hooves isn’t easy, y’know!” Sweet Spell rubbed her eyes, peering closer at the small transparent block on her door. Sweet Spell blinked at the two deep blue eyes glaring at her. The eyes blinked back. “You know I’m the best at staring contests, Sweetie. Get your marshmallow butt out of that bed and open the door, before I break it down.”
“Be my guest.” Sweet Spell lay her head back down onto her fluffy pillow, closing her eyes. A low groan sounded from a while away, followed by a light, magical swish of blue – And the door was open.
“Hey! What do you think you’re doing?” Sweet Spell opened one eye, peering up at the gray mare looming over her. Well… Looming might be a bit of an exaggeration.
“Sleeping, Tiny. What are you doing?” Sweet Spell closed her eye, smirking.
“Don’t call me Tiny, Marshmallow.”
“Don’t call me Marshmallow, Tiny.”
Silence.
“Well, it’s time you got up. We are going to open the shop today still, right?” Questioned the mare.
“Yea, yea… Give me a moment…” Sweet Spell let out a loud yawn.
“No.” Sweet Spell grunted in surprise, as she felt her body crash to the floor.
“Ow!” Sweet Spell glared up at the mare. “Geez, sis, for such a small pony you sure do pack a punch…”
“For such a fluffy Marshmallow you sure do weigh a bunch… “
“What was that?"
“Nothing.”
Sugar Rush chuckled, peering down at her sister on the floor. “Gonna get up? Or do I need to go call the fire brigade?” Sugar Rush laughed, dramatically drawing her hoof to her forehead. “Oh, woe is meeee… My lumpy Marshmallow tripped over her own weight, and now she can’t get up!”
Slap.
“Alright, alright! No more Marshmallow jokes… “ Sugar rubbed her cheek, pouting sourly, while Sweet Spell lifted herself up off the floor.
“You know that isn’t what happened, Sugar.” Sweet Spell rolled her eyes. “You pushed me off the bed.”
“Actually I used magic.”
Sigh.
