Celestia May Scream
Mission 1: Dark Descent
Previous Chapter"Acquire the family heirloom and escape Canterlot"
"You think you're some hot shot just because you have wings?" one of my classmates, Lightmane said.
It was tough being a filly Pegasus living in Canterlot sometimes, my Dad was one of the personal guards to Princess Celestia herself. I attended as the only exception in the school's history; Princess Celestia's school for Gifted Unicorn's rather than a Pegasus school in Cloudsdale.
I backed up a step, "No, but it ain't my fault I'm the only one who can get off the ground dirthoof!"
This enraged her gritting her teeth and getting in my face, other ponies began to take notice at the tension between us and began to gathering around. Lightmane had a gray mane with a light blue coat and dark blue eyes
"At least I'm not a blank flank!" she yelled back.
I looked dead into her dark blue eyes ready to put my hoof clear across her face, only she started it first. I didn't even see her do it but I felt it, the stinging burn across my muzzle. I brought my hoof right under her muzzle she looked at me in surprise having stuck back at her she lunged at me hitting me in the snout. We fought for what seemed like hours was only a few minutes; we were quickly separated by Ms. Shine one of the top teachers at the school supposedly appointed by Princess Celestia.
"Lightmane, Persephone stop your squabbling this instant!" she said.
I was on top of Lightmane one hoof on her chest pinning her to the ground and the other raised to strike her again Mrs. Shine grabbed Persephone by my mane and pulled me off Lightmane setting me down away from her. It wasn't the first time I noticed Ms. Shine's wrinkles as she was the oldest pony teacher in the school.
"Lightmane, you are to go to the headmare's office immediately," she said then turning on me, "Persephone you are to come with me." She began walking away like she was expecting me to follow her which I had no choice but to.
I followed her though the halls; the crowd that had gathered began to quickly disperse other teachers making sure students go to their classes. Lightmane was going the other way I was headed for Mrs. Shine's cramped office, the weeks leading up to the fight between me and Lightmane, I couldn't even remember what started it all in the first place. But what I did know is that things got worse between us insults and now fighting. We eventually reached a door with: Psychiatrist office. Under it had "Mrs. Shine is" and under it was a sign that said "Out" in red letters. I opened the door for her allowing her to walk in.
"Thank you deary," she said in her kindly tone.
I trotted in behind her closing the door; the room was small with a desk, chair, and paper all over the place being in such a close space gave me claustrophobia just being in here. The only thing thing that didn't hammer it home was the single window that let out into the morning sun outside. Ms. Shine sat on her chair and looked at me with her usual kindly expression I could almost feel like there was something ancient about her, and the way she looked at me almost like she was reading me.
"Persephone dear, I know you and Lightmane have been having escalating problems yes?" she said.
"Y-yeah we've been fighting and whatnot." I said looking away.
"Now deary, this will not be overlooked with the Headmare once she finds out what has happened," the elderly mare said.
"But she hit me first!" I said defensively.
Ms. Shine reached for a paper on her desk, her horn glowed a faded yellow and then a pencil rose as she began writing something on the sheet of paper. I wasn't sure what the paper was but I was sure it had something to do with me and Lightmare, an incident report I think.
"Now deary, I'm not sure what the problem is between you and Lightmane but I do know it has to stop Mrs. Star will not tolerate further conflict that will disrupt the classroom setting," she said.
Mrs. Star was a real hardass I've only ever been in trouble a few times but the last time I was in trouble I was still trying to control my wings properly, my inexperience wasn't an excuse when I crashed into one of the rings snapping it free and it falling onto another pony. She made it clear in her outraged and old voice.
"One more incident like that and not even Celestia herself would stop me from expelling you from this school!"
The incident was eventually cleared up, Mrs. Star having met my father finally got the idea that Pegasi don't know how to fly straight out of being born. But now I wasn't so sure my dad would be able to save me since it was practically like she was out to get me or something; Ms. Shine turned to me a paper floating to me
