A dazzled and blazing heart
Three weeks after the battle of the bands Adagio, Sonata and I were hanging around vacantly in out small apartment. The apartment had three little rooms and one bathroom, a fact that was totally annoying with three teenagers living in it.
Sonata was cooking tacos because it was Tuesday (and, thus, a day for tacos.) It was amazing that she hadn't started a fire. It was more amazing that the ditz could actually cook well.
I was sitting on the navy blue couch that Adagio got about a year ago. I hate this couch. I hate it because Adagio used this couch to replace the black love seat I had loved when we first moved into that apartment... needless to say I wasn't to happy at Adagio that day.
Adagio was still trying to fix the pendants that had given us our wonderful singing voices and ability to charm people. They had broken during her scheme to rule Canterlot high and the world. It was a stupid plan, I'll admit, but hey, she wanted to be the leader... Too bad she's the worst leader.
I heard Adagio sigh angrily as she looked at the gems in her hands. We had all attempted to fix them, but no one had any luck. Adagio was so frustrated, it was actually kind of funny. I saw Adagio look over at Sonata and saw the odd sight that is Adagio's smile. Huh. She was really pretty when she wasn't giving herself those gross frown wrinkles. I looked away right before she turned to look at me, and I felt her stare at me. I stared at the TV,trying to ignore her.
It's funny that I like her, really, seeing as how we barely get along. She's always hogging the spotlight, leaving Sonata and I to act as backup--if she includes us at all. I was interrupted in my thoughts as Sonata called us to eat.
Later that night I rubbed my eyes and looked around. Sonata had already gone to bed, and Adagio and I could hear her snores from the main room. Adagio herself was still bent over those blasted gems, "Darn those Rainbooms... and these gems." I heard her mutter.
"Getting mad at the gems won't fix them, you know." I said sarcastically. "It's past midnight. Give up already; we have school in the morning."
"I'll go to bed soon." She growled at me, "Just let my try one more trick on these."
"Alright." I shrugged, "But don't blame me if you're too tired for school tomorrow." I got up from the couch and sulked back to my room, leaving her bent over the desk.
I woke up about an hour later. A glance at the clock told me it was almost two in the morning, and I groaned. I need some water...
I walked out into the living room and glanced at Adagio's desk, hoping she was in bed. While she wasn't in bed, she was asleep. She was slumped over in her chair and snoring. I shook my head with a small smile and walked over to her.
"What am I going to do with you?" I asked softly, poking her shoulder gently to ensure that she was sound asleep. I picked her up with a grunt and carried her back to her room. The orange walls seemed so foreign to me as I set her on her bed. I looked down at her and smiled more at the peaceful look on her face. It was rare to see her so relaxed.
"Goodnight, Dagi." I whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead. If anyone saw me at that moment I would have murdered them. I quickly left her room, shutting the door behind me, and headed back to my own, completely forgetting my need for water. As I laid back down I thought to myself, Maybe our gems breaking isn't such a bad thing...
I woke up the next morning at 7:16 and sat up before groaning at my appearance,My long hair that was normally up in pigtails was messy laying around me and I really dread brushing it later.
" Ugg I hate mornings "I muttered crossly before hearing shouting in the hallway of our apartment 'it looks like the worst got the bathroom before adagio again' I thought with a small smirk before slowly dragging myself out of my room and looking down the small hallway to see a familiar siren with a mop of orange and yellow curls sitting at the bathroom door with a very cross face "did she get the shower before you 'dagi'?" I say with a amused tone.
Adagio just scowled at me "it's not funny aria! I've been sitting here for thirty minutes and she still hasn't got done yet evan thought I shouted at her every five minutes " she growled before looking at the door like it had done the worst thing in the world to her. I just rolled my eyes at her,it was really funny to see adaigo flustered I thought before replying "well now you know how I feel when I wait on you" she looked back at me "ha ha aria very funny..anyhow I have a question,did you put me in my bed last night? I remember falling asleep on my desk and the little shower stealer said she saw you pass by her room last night " She questioned me
I swear I was going to murder sonata..hey I did say I was going to murder anyone who saw me last night so I stayed true to that promise but first I'm going to have to think of a good response to give her so I don't sound like a idiot or sound like I like her or something so I just stand there while adagio gives me a half confused half smirking kinda face.....UGH I can't think this hard without my coffee!! "Does it matter who put you there as long as you got some sleep now hurry up we have school soon...now I'm going to make waffles " I huff before leaving a confused adagio to try to get sonata out of the bathroom 'I'm such a moron 'and 'I need coffee' is all that went through my brain at the moment.
Five minutes after that I sit down at the counter and sip my coffee in my 'I hate all of you' that sonata got me for Christmas last year,adagio got a kick out of it but I didn't think it was to funny. I started to think about what I had told adagio a little while ago and facepalmed "I don't evan know how to cook waffles! I hope adagio doesn't notice my slip up " I growl at myself before looking around the kitchen and huffing 'what do you evan put in the stupid things?!?' I just take a sip of my drink before watching sonata bounce in here "hiya Aria,good morning!" She chirped in her overly cheery voice "whatever" I mutter before re watching her start cooking.
About thirty minutes passed and I was eating the breakfast that sonata had prepared...oddly it was waffles before I saw adagio walk out of the hall and right up to me "what was that about making waffles again because I remember the last time you cooked something we had to move!" She said with a smirk and put her hands on her hips,I just had one thought 'Well crap she remembered!'
