Twilight wandered aimlessly through the dense tangle of bushes. The moon slid into the sky, only soon to be covered by a floating grey cloud, drifting on the wind. A few drops of dew glistened on the branches, only to drip off onto the beaten forest floor. Her eyes darted, looking for predators, but none were to come.
Deeper and deeper she went, stumbling on any tree branches or roots that she came across. Her hooves had marks and cuts on them, bleeding ever so slightly, chunks of her hair torn out. And the worst was still to come. Her horn was chipped, the cartridge torn away by long branches with sharp ends.
